I wish I could understand them, but as an intellectually disabled person first person neopronouns greatly confuse me compared to regular neopronouns. I have to figure out what the word being used in lieu of for first person neopronouns, but for regular ones, you can figure it out contextually far more easily or just skim over the pronouns when reading text.
It's obviously easier on the fact that you usually don't need to use someone's first person neopronouns for them as you usually aren't speaking as someone else. But it makes it incredibly difficult for me to read a post or message written with first person neopronouns. "We/us/ourselves" is fine as that's already used by everyone all the time.
But something like, "Vi went to the store. I was washing vyself. Give that to ve! Walk over to ve" It makes me go, wait, who is Vi? What is vyself? Who or what is ve? I don't know how to figure those things out from context. Regular neopronouns (for me) immediately make sense because you can just immediately tell that they're referring to someone else and are substituting in place for traditional pronouns. And as well as the fact that, in order to use pronouns for other people, you almost ALWAYS establish who you are talking about or that you're talking about someone before using pronouns instead of their name.
Also, you can almost always tell what traditional pronoun would be being used in a sentence because of verb usage. But I feel that's more muddled with first person.
Basically, my point is, how can I learn to understand first person neopronouns? I understand what they are and how they work but can't recognize them and figure out what pronoun they're supposed to substitute for or if they're a pronoun at all. I am someone who is intellectually disabled and struggle with them for the reasons above. I also use a screenreader often which makes it even harder to figure out that the first person neopronouns are to refer to someone and aren't a word I've never heard of before.

Anyone else uses 1st person xenopronouns and no 1st person pronouns? No 1st person pronouns is hard to implement all the time. Sometimes the sentence just doesn’t make sense, so have to use I/me/mine/my/myself or […] which are both annoying. Wish there was a symbol to indicate you’re talking about yourself without having to use “I” or “[…]”. The second one is just long and annoying to write.

Btw &'m trying out some swaggy new first person neopronouns and & cannot decide whether I& like the "&/&/&/&/&self" set or the "I&/me&/my&/mine&/myself&" set more
On one hand just an ampersand is much quicker to type which is important to &, and also the &self set can be easily pronounced like "and" (+ a little thing & like to do is pronounce "&'m" like "amd" cuz it's... am... and... amd... you get it)
On the other hand the myself& set is simply more common and easier to read, much clearer too. Which is a pretty big advantage.
Help I& don't know which one to choose

Can I ask why you use “eye” instead of “I”?
No foul, I’m just curious bc I’ve never seen someone do that before. It’s honestly super cool!
When eye found out there was such a thing as first-person neopronouns, it was so cool and interesting to me! “Eye” is the one eye chose to use because it already has the same pronunciation as “I” :-]

system specific pronouns
we were thinking about how using "us" to refer to our whole system can be confusing in a lot of sentences, but "i" isn't always accurate, and semiplural pronouns are a thing but not really meant for this purpose,, so we decided to coin some! these are first person pronouns meant for plural systems to use in place of we/us/our/ours/ourselves:
wy/uys/ouyr/ouyrs/ouyrselves
and then for similar reasons, i decided to make second and third person pronouns. so these are second person pronouns you can use when talking to a plural system in place of you/your/yours/yourselves:
syou/syour/syours/syourselves
and these are third person pronouns you can use when talking about a plural system in place of they/them/their/theirs/themselves:
sthy/sthym/sthyr/sthyrs/sthymselves
i honestly have no idea how these would be pronounced as my brain can't really handle verbally using non-nounself neopronouns anyway, sorry! but online at least hopefully this are useful to some people

Originally I& started using the I&/me& pronouns to signify and acknowledge the existence of my& veritbonds and linktypes, like there is more to my& selfhood than just the Luigra. But I& still used I/me to signify when I& was shifted or spoke from my& Jack Manifold experience. This way I& hoped to subconsciously remind myself& that this is my& true life, my& real self, and doesn't need a footnote.
I& think this had a bit of an opposite effect, so now I& plan to use I&/me& for all of me&, even when shifted. I& really like the ring of it! I&'ll still keep using I/me occasionally for accessibility/ease of reading when talking to some people/when prioritizing being understood, or when texting really fast. In the end, I& do tend to just forget sometimes XD

I made some first person neopronouns.
The base set: (I/me/my/mine/myself)
I currently do not say or type swear words without censoring them, but this is as screen reader friendly as I know how to write them. If you use them, feel free to write the full swear. Or alter them in any way.
(fu/fck/fcks/fckin/fckself) or (fck/fcky/fcks/fckin/fckself)
Example sentences:
I picked up my bag. Fu picked up fcks bag.
The hat is mine. The hat is fckin.
I'm going by myself. Fck'm going by fckself.

so exhausted/annoyed by queer people being like "oh yeah fuck the family we hate the family" and then being like "oh yeah i was talking to my mom - my CHOSEN mom - about blah blah blah" like just say your friend. your mentor. whatever. if you hate the (nuclear) family so much why are you dragging its (GENDERED) social roles forward with you like this. you cannot deconstruct a hierarchy/role by just elevating other people/things to the same position in said hierarchy/role, oh my godddd

More.
(Part 7 is here)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The door flashed very brightly at us when we opened it. Tragically we've been blinded in our other eye. Very sad. Oh well! We can smell our way around the House.
Tumblr media
We can see no way this could possibly go wrong.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We should pass this off as wizard magic. Nothing can possibly go wrong if we pass our save-star-spawning off as wizard magic.
Also, as a side note: our save file currently looks like this. This is because we continually wander off and write overly verbose liveblogs in the middle of battles, and also we are battling with a cat to get this written. We are sure that Siffrin deeply appreciates the fact that the insect controlling him has the patience of a god and the desperate need to examine every single barrel that it meets. We don't think that he counts as a mantis, even with our Extended Category Markers - he's really lacking the proper attitude, you see - but he definitely falls into the category of people who it would be funny to possess.

I made this set of semi-plural first person pronouns for my system (DID) and it seems pretty popular with my friends, so I'll post them here for others to use, too! These are made for systems but anyone can use them however helps.
wi/mus/myr/myrs/myr[self/selves]
these are a mixture of i/me/my/mine/myself and we/us/our/ours/ourselves. some examples are as follows:
Wi went to the store today.
This is important to mus.
Myr friend took mus dancing.
That is myrs.
Wi got this for myrselves/myrself.
You can use them in a plural (selves) or singular (self) way. Or maybe even shake it up and combine them (selve/selv/selfs)!
