The Psychos updated: they all died. Each and every single one of the psychos died. First, it was Patrick. He died in some random battle, fighting along his daughter. El Bromas wasn't even fucking moved about the love of his life dying like this truly justifying the name of the team. On the final battle, Bolien, Patrick and El's daughter fell first. It was the "Kill The Tyrant" mission so my fps were so low I didn't even see how or when she fucking died. Next, it was Walter White. He was a mystic, he was slow and weak, he couldn't outrun them all fast enough. Then, it was Yujiro. He died facing Ash. They both were surrounded, they knew there was no way to make it out alive. He made sure to bring the beast that killed him along to hell though. Now without his soulmate, Ash was done for. There were close to 20 enemies surrounding him, tentacles wrapped around him, couldn't even move. His last action? One last fucking headbutt, because when all fails, use your head. Now it was all up to El Bromas. He was fast, so he ran. He'd find the tyrant. He was the last hope, maybe if he did he'd end this, maybe his friends and family's sacrifice wouldn't have been on vain. He ran, and he found him. He had full armor, full warding, full health. He landed a shot, then another one after being first hit. A quarter of the tyrant's life was out, there was hope. I really thought El Bromas could make it as the sole fucking hero. But alas, for when he lost his eye way earlier on this tale he couldn't have forseen the repercussions, as one faithful 80% shot failed, giving the tyrant one whole turn to hit him right in the face, draining his life just like that.

And El lived! He ran away, he was alive. But... something appeared, something evil, a reflection of himself, something stronger that he was, and he gave him the opportunity to become one and become truly powerful. And after that... well, how could El Bromas not do it? He had just seen all he cared and loved die. He had lost everything. He had nothing left to lose and just everything to gain. And so the sole survivor took the deal, becoming one with his evil side. And so, the world was over. No more heroes left to defend it, The Psychos had officially failed. And that was the end of their tale.

So! I know most of you come for the shinyshrimp stuff (WHICH WE WILL GET TO) but let me yap about Glisten and Razzle for a bit.

Glisten and Razzle got together like 3 months after Glisten and Boxten broke up. Razzle never really looked to Glisten that much outside of acquaintances (cuz he was kinda sorta lowkey jealous of Glisten's charisma and stage-presence). In fact, they were much more focused on Vee and maybe possibly had a crush on her, which is really funny in hindsight with Dazzle lol. However, after learning that Vee was a lesbian/being very rudely rejected by her, Razzle found comfort in Glisten and fell head-over-heels almost immediately.

The only problem is, Razzle has -10000 aura. His ass cannot be flirty or cool-charismatic at all.

Glisten: What do you do when you aren't distracting? Razzle: (Glisten likes mysterious people) I sell drugs!! Glisten: ... Excuse me? Razzle: (But Glisten also likes kind people) But ONLY to kids in need! Dazzle: (STOPSTOPSTOPSTOPSTOPSTOP-) *defeated whimper*

Also like, Razzle is suuuper dense when it comes to everyone except Dazzle. They struggle with self-reflection and other-people reflection, so he is completely convinced he is doing all the right things, when in actuality, they are very very very cringe.

Dazzle is being pulled through the wringer trying to preserve whatever was left of her (and Razzle's) pride. It's not working. Girl is fighting for their life every time she is dragged over by Razzle in order to say a horrible pick-up line to Glisten.

(This is all pre-relationship btw. After they get together it becomes an inside joke and Glisten retorts with his own awful (although not nearly as bad) pick-up lines)

Shrimpo being that one guy who craves affection but would literally bite anyone who gives it to him is so real to me. Homie wants a hug but ends up suplexing whoever hugged him outta reflex. Glisten, on the other hand, is one of the most affectionate people ever. He's not affectionate to everyone, but when you catch his interest (both platonic and romantic), he is very verbally and physically affectionate. He'll buy you things, he'll give you hugs, he'll let you invade his personal space, all stuff he would never let normies do.

Shrimpo loves this, however, homie has no idea how to deal with any kind of affection in a positive way. Cat-coded ahh guy. Glisten does find this amusing tho, so he's more inclined to be affectionate with Shrimpo to help him "get over it" in a way.

This is just for shits and giggles. I feel like everyone should draw this meme with their ships. It's a canon event at this point.

I drew these because I had a vision of the little doodle below and only thought it would work if they were swaped... sooooo... here we are.

Scapmi is a preppy goth-ish shrimp with an eye for fashion and artistry. With a smart mouth and a massive ego, he often comes off as an annoyance to others. He loves to be front and center in everything but often has to fight with his internalized idea that everything is a competition that he needs to win no matter what. It causes him a lot of stress and self-doubt, but he'd never let anyone see his weaknesses.

Gash is a shrap-toned violent mirror who speaks more with his fists than his voice. He hates everything that is not himself (and sweets) and makes sure people know that. He used to be a perfectionist, but after an accident permanently cracked his face, he dropped his "perfect" persona in favor of a messy, more hateful one. He wants connection but doesn't know how to express his needs in an understandable way, and that frustrates him immensely.

As you can see, match made in heaven.

been reflecting on my year a bit, and i was thinking about something. i think i know what the best thing i did for myself this year was.

making cometcare public. making the ask blog.

ive had this AU stirring in my brain since 2019, ever since i got really attached to doomi during the haunted arc. one reason i went so long without revealing pollarrydoomi as a ship to readers was because doom's crush wasn't public information until late 2021.

i had kept his crush a mystery for 3 years, but revealed it after a fun experience where people figured out who it was through guessing. i'm pretty sure i did a poll about it? asking people to guess who they thought it was, and uni won the vote, meaning everyone had already figured it out.

after pollarrydoomi was revealed and i started drawing art for it and people made fanart for it, i still couldn't post any of my AU art because ally wasn't public and she and howie were in the AU. in july 2022, for the comic's birthday, i revealed ally as a character to the readers. others around the time had started to notice characters i had in pfps and i ended up telling everyone i did have pollarrydoomi ship kids, but i didn't make them public.

in november 2022, i revealed eve on toyhouse. after her reveal, i would soon reveal sly as well in december 2022 on my birthday (revealing sly as a birthday present to myself is such a funny gesture now that you guys know how important he is to me). over the next few weeks i revealed cream, frosty, and marco as well. all of the main cometkids except chem.

then one day someone out there suggested that i make an ask blog for the cometcare AU. it was such a spontaneous decision, and i didn't even really know what i was gonna do with it at first. i was just kinda messing around. but when i made the blog i realized that if i wanted this AU to be experienced in complete authenticity, i couldn't make uni cis.

so i revealed uni being trans through the blog, despite the fact i'd gone so many years without ever revealing her identity. why did i do it? there's a lot of reasons. not wanting to make her a "dad" in the AU contributed, but also i felt like it wouldn't be detrimental to the story to confirm a character being trans. it also made me (and the crew in general) a lot more comfortable being able to properly refer to uni with her actual pronouns.

making the ask blog really changed me, because finally i could share this little family and comfort story i'd built in my brain with the world and make it real and make content for it and let people consume it.

but what stopped me most of all?

i've said it many times before... but i felt like it was cringey.

i felt like making an AU with 93985893844 fankids in a ridiculous complicated polycule wasn't something a Serious content creator should do, and i was really worried the reception would be negative or people would think it was stupid or something. i did NOT expect it to become as popular as it is. the blog actually has more followers than the MAIN ASK BLOG for the canon comic. it was received SO POSITIVELY and the fact it was just kind of blows me away.

it means so much to me. being able to share the most special thing in my life with people and for people to actually like it and have fun with me and want to see it, and for me to be able to not have to follow strict professionalism about spoilers and chronological storytelling, and being able to change and add in things whenever i felt like it. it's such a freeing experience.

when i was a kid, i used to make stories and OCs and i didn't take them as seriously as i do the sparklecare reboot. this kind of turned into my entire life and career kinda, so i had to take it more seriously. but making this AU honestly just makes me feel like i'm a kid again, it makes me feel like i can have fun and literally do whatever the fuck i want without worrying what people think or if it's realistic or if it makes any sense.

i know though, that some people don't like pollarrydoomi. and i know why. whether it's because of being attached to barruni (of course, they're the canon ship and main characters, i get it) or just having discomfort with the idea of shipping doom with anyone when canonically he hasn't experienced a redemption arc... i get it. i know not everyone likes it.

and that's okay! people are entitled to having their own feelings about content. i understand it. and i've come to accept that's always going to be the case with anything i do with these characters.

but i'm still going to do this for myself. i do this because it makes me happy to just have fun and not worry about being serious all the time. it feels good, especially when it's with characters that are really really important to me.

cometcare is genuinely the most special and important thing i've ever made for myself, it's such a huge piece of my identity and it makes me who i am. and being able to make this story public and share it with people and share these things that have been in my brain for so long with others means so much to me.

that's why i think it was the best thing i've done this year. it's kind of literally changed my life to be able to talk about them. it's made me happier than i've ever been making content. i'm not just making it to entertain myself alone anymore, i'm making it to entertain others like i do with other stuff. and the fact people actually like it still is unbelievable to me.

so, i guess my outlook for next year as it comes is to continue to stop taking everything so seriously. i can tell my stories however i want to. i hope others can realize they can do this too.

please make whatever you want, whenever you what, as much as you want, even if it doesn't make sense or if it's "cringe". you will be so much happier when you realize as a creator you DON'T have to take all of this so seriously. the comic still exists and people read it even if i'm doing this. You Can Do Whatever You Want And Nobody Can Ever Stop You. the only person who can stop you is yourself when you let your inhibitions get in the way of your ability to create things for yourself.

Paramount Stars AU takes place within the Sonic Cinematic Universe. It is an Actors AU, so Sonic and Shadow are actors in Paramount Stars studios making the movies. They are both traumatised(tm) and transgender. Sonic met Shadow before the filming for Sonic 3 started and invited Shadow to join the movie. Over the two years of the movie production, Sonic and Shadow held feelings for each other before confessing on the night of the trailer release and becoming an official couple after the premier. Sonic Rewritten AU takes place within the Modern Timeline, which are the games and IDW comics. It diverts from the canon after SA2, where Sonic and Shadow fell in love at first sight and was unofficially married by Dr. Eggman (they were out of options, okay?) during the Finalhazard fight. The rest of the timeline proceeds virtually unchanged, except for Sonic and Shadow being husbands (and more relationships beginning as well, because time actually passes here). However, the "canon" part of the timeline ends after the Metal Virus, and the rest of the AU largely follows the adventures of Sonic and Shadow's daughters, Hope and Light, and their friends (other fankids). Highschool Sweethearts AU is self-explanatory. Sonic and Shadow are high school students at Emerald Academy, in Emerald Town who became boyfriends. Shadow moved to Emerald Academy from Central City Westopolis district, due to being harrassed and discriminated against because he was trans, and met Sonic on basically his first day at his new school. They got off to a rocky start but eventually became a couple by the end of Year 10 and are still dating well into their senior years - 11 and 12. This AU is largely a coping mechanism for my school life (and it is also very Australian High School themed) and will continue into an University AU. There isn't much content for it but im happy to talk about it.

Heaven and Hell AU is an AU where Sonic is a High Seraph from Heaven (heir to the throne) and Shadow was a demon, whose powers were unlocked by Black Doom during Shadow Generations (also heir to the throne - of HELL >:3). It begins when Sonic, formerly named Caelus, leaves Heaven because he felt unwelcome and bored there and found himself on Earth, during the time of the Ancients (from Frontiers). He helped them build their colonies and civilizations on the Starfall Islands and became a being of worship for them, but was ultimately forced into hiding by the Ancients as they wanted to protect him from The End. Sonic remains on the planet and survives through the rise and fall of empires and into the modern world. He earned his name after defeating Eggman for the very first time and has since taken on the title of Hero of the World and Seraph of the People. Shadow's story still stays true to the canon, but he discovers his demon lineage. Sonic and Shadow, both being divine beings, worked together to live in secret and their relationship started there. Their designs are on my blog somewhere, you'll find them lmao.

Shattered AU, like mentioned, is a Sonic Prime AU where there are different Sonic and Shadows in the Shatter Spaces. In New Yoke; Sonic is Solo and Shadow is Android. In Boscage; Sonic is Paradise and Shadow is Hawthorn. In No-Place; Sonic is Goldheart and Shadow is Darkquill. Each of the Shattered Sonic and Shadows reflect a milestone in Sonic and Shadow's relationship; New Yoke = Enemies, Boscage = Friends/Rivals and No-Place = Romantic. More info about each of the Sonic and Shadows can be viewed on THIS google doc file.

One Week AU, like mentioned, is a King Shadow x Jester Sonic AU. It is a fanfic that is currently being written, where Shadow and Sonic fall in love in One Week (hehe). You'll be able to read it on AO3 once its out!

The Litter AU, or simply, The Litter, is a timeline where Shadow and Sonic have 8 daughters. Hope and Light from the Rewritten AU was reused for this. The daughters, from oldest to youngest, are: Hope, Light, Faith, Life, Lavender, Sunflower, Iris and Hyacinth. They came in twins. Reference sheets are currently being designed and can be viewed once I post them!

Overcast AU is a Sonic and Rain-World crossover AU, with a post-apocalyptic theme. The environment, world and lore is similar to Rain World, but instead of slugcats, we have feral mobians. Shadow is from the human cities, above the clouds, and Sonic is a hedgehog surviving on the rain ravaged surface. Shadow escaped and fell to the surface, where he was rescued by Sonic and they would go on to become mates. You can read the first instalments to this AU on AO3!!

And now, I’m gonna tell you all about it and exactly who the fuck this little kid is.

Lotus is the daughter of Vox (as you can tell) and Alastor and is six years old. She was created shortly after Vox and Al broke up, oh yeah I should probably talk about their relationship status. Vox and Alastor, unlike in canon, weren’t only close friends but were dating at some point, mostly because Alastor wanted to manipulate Vox’s feelings to where he’d be more compilable but accidentally took it too far, and since Vox is a piss baby Alastor decided to entertain Vox for a while.

Was this relationship healthy?

NO!

Would Vox say these were the best years of his afterlife?

Yeah.

But anyways, in this au when Vox asks Alastor to “join his team” he was actually proposing and Alastor finally realized,

“Shit maybe this has gone out of hand” and breaks it off with Vox which leaves Vox heartbroken and with an incel breakdown. Now instead of trying to move the fuck on, he has our little darling Lotus, who he has trying to fill the hole that Alastor left.

So obviously having a child for that reason isn’t going to make you a good parent.

Lotus’ relationship with the Vees are as follows in the particular order.

1 Velvette: She does Lotus’s hair everyday and picks out outfits for her to post on her social media before Lotus immediately undos everything that Velvette does and just goes for pigtails and her nightgown. Velvette has wine aunt energy and is probably the only one of the Vees to know how to talk and get through to Lotus.

2 Valentino: Surprising I know, but Lotus doesn’t know what he does to his workers, she knows what he does for work but grew up with thinking that was just something normal since Valentino was never hush hush about his job around her much to Vox’s dismay. Valentino isn’t a big fan of children and doesn’t hang around her often, but sometimes he’ll draw along side her while bitching about a particular show she’s watching even though it’s literally made for kids.

3 Vox: Wow, how bad do you have to fuck up for a pimp who hardly spends time with her to be ranked higher than her own father?? Vox, despite making the conscious decision to have her, he isn’t around like at all. Hes a workaholic through and through, and mostly leaves her with nannies and Velvette. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t love her. Au contraire he loves her with all his heart and soul. Will give her anything except quality time. He uses her more of an accessory than a child.

Now how exactly Lotus was made is up to you.

A robotic creation Vox made? Sure!

This whole au starts with Lotus running away from the Vee tower to explore hell since she's basically Rapunzel. She gets lost and terrorized by sinners until our deer Alastor rescues her. Seeing his chance to promote the hotel he takes her there where she is offered to stay there by Charlie when Lotus complains about how bad her dad is. She graciously accepts because shes only six but is going through her “My dad hates me and I hate him” era. Which I mean…I would get that impression too if I didn’t see my dad that much.

Wait my dad lives across the country…don't talk to me rn I’m busy dyeing my hair black and becoming emo 🖤

But anyways she stays there while Vox is loosing his fucking mind, and becoming more mentally unstable.

Meanwhile! She's having the time of her life with the hotel's residents and a new father figure who treats her well and pays attention to her! Alastor! Now Al doesn’t know she is his kid, but that doesn't stop him from being a better dad than Vox out of spite!

in another au, the previously mentioned au is crossed over with another au where melman is the famous one instead of alex. i don't mess around with star melman au by itself (idek how he'd be famous) but WHEN PAIRED WITH ORIGINAL GLORIA CONCEPT AU OMGGGG. ...got punched swiftly in the face before he could even get close. This caused him to fall head-first backwards into the hard floors of the hallway, knocking him out.

Before he could fully lose consciousness though, the last thing he saw was Orange Juice running away, his orange blood peeking out of his wound from earlier.

Then everything went dark.

When he finally woke up at least thought he did. He was in a dark empty void, with nothing around him for miles.

Well, he might as well start walking or else he'd be bored for hours on end.

After walking for what felt like centuries, he finally saw something in the distance or someone?

Getting closer, it seemed to be an extremely short person with a rectangle-shaped head sitting at a desk with countless papers and a half-empty can of Dr Pepper next to them.

"Hello? Do you know where-a-Mario is?" The Japanese-Italian teenager asked as the short figure in front of him finally noticed him walking closer.

"Oh! You're not supposed to be here." The figure said looking up from the paper in front of them before focusing back down to their writing.

There was silence for 1.5 milliseconds before Mario asked another question, his patience running thin.

"What are you writing?" He asked as he sat down on the chair opposite the short figure, kicking his feet as he talked.

"Just some silly little stories. The one I'm writing right now is about the SMG4 crew fighting Mr Puzzles for a third time but during it, my BatteryAcid fankid descends from the heavens which causes chaos to ensue." The figure explained, not looking up from their page.

"What's BatteryAcid?" Mario curiously asked, his hand resting on his chin.

"It's probably best if you don't know," The figure said, forcing themselves not to giggle.

Mario looked around once again. Apart from this desk and chairs, there was nothing else around, just an empty void. He looked at the figure again, taking in their appearance this time.

The figure was shorter than Mario, which was a surprise due to how short he was. Their head was shaped similarly to Mr Puzzles but had a built-in DVD and VHS player. They also wore a white collared t-shirt with puffy sleeves and grey overalls. On top of their head was a hat similar to Mario's, except it had a hand-sewn emblem of an A on top. They also wore red fingerless gloves and a red bow tie with a star in the middle of it. The last thing he noticed was a USB-shaped tail that swayed as the figure wrote.

"Are you Mr Puzzles' sibling?" Mario asked.

"Sometimes I wish I was. He's sort of like my creator in a way." The figure finally looked up from what they were writing and placed their head on their hands. "By the way, you are absolutely insane about him and I love you for that."

"A-Thank you so much! Mario's never been told that before." He said, happy that someone accepts his yandere behaviour for once and doesn't see it as absolutely insane and crazy (it is). "Are you like god then?"

"To you? Maybe in a way. It's hard to explain really. Just call me P.V.A or the Author. The author gives me more mystery anyway."

"Like the Author of the Journals? My brother?" Mario referenced

"How did you- wait no I'm writing this right now of course you know that." They dismissed, going back to writing their work of fiction(?).

"If you created my world, does that mean you can give me spaghetti?" The spaghetti-obsessed teenager asked, leaning over to the writer in front of him in an obsessive and needy way.

"Oh yeah sure as long as it will keep you occupied before you wake up." The Author said, snapping one of their fingers which caused a plate of infinite spaghetti to appear on the desk.

Here's another vid with voice headcanons, except it's just Edge, another oc of mine named Jake and Taylor. This was before I decided Edge needed a sister

Slight info on Edge, Cliff and Jake below the cut

So, first I made Edge. He started off as a drabble design in PLP, and I decided to make his name and surname common nouns, hence the name Edge Price.

I then realized how much he looked like Simon Petrikov. I then later realized he could pass for a Petrigrof fankid, so that became his gag and what his design was based off (he gets a hair color change to look more like Betty's, since his hair here and in the previous video is much too pink-ish)

So yeah, more than Simon, I based him a lot on Betty design and slightly personality-wise.

Enough about his design tho, let's get to a bit more of his lore.

To summarize it, he's the Larry Needlemeyer/Miss Rabbit of the Papa Louie restaurants (i.e. he works at every damn one alongside the other two canon chefs who he lets keep most of the money out of pity). Because of his financial issues, he eventually sold his heart in return for a sum of money large enough to keep him sustained and indulge a tiny bit. He has a "two sizes too small"-esque tattoo on his chest where his heart used to be. He has a robot heart now.

Cliff Price became a thing after I decided that it'd be nice for Edge to have a sister that looked opposite to him but still resembled their fanon parents. (Edge has Simon's skin, Simon's hair cut, Betty's eyes and Betty's hair color, Cliff has Betty's skin, Betty's hair cut, Simon's eyes and Simon's hair color)

Edge's shifts at every restaurant are split into weeks, and Cliff likes to tag along with him to jog around the town they're in and saying hi to the locals. Unlike Edge, who's a bit more on the shy and quiet side, Cliff is very sociable.

I don't have a lot of lore for her yet, so have a few funny things abt her.

Cliff once ran up to Duke Gotcha while he was live on the news, hugged (i.e. nearly strangled) him while waving at the camera and ruffling Duke's hair.

Cliff is an athlete, and her favourite things to do are jogging and hand-to-hand combat. Regarded as one of the strongest people in the Flipverse for her addiction to working out, Edge changed her contact name to "Donkey Kong," in part because of how extroverted, loud and unhinged she can be. She has no idea about this.

And last, but not least, Phineas Jacob "Jake" Cody.

Jake is an art major in college and a big heavy metal and rock fan. They're Edge's roommate in Tastyville, they also occasionally tag along whenever Edge travels and whenever they do go with him, they bring their electric guitar.

Some of their favourite bands are Los Prisioneros, Nirvana, Café Tacvba, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Los Tres and Depeche Mode. They also listen to Scarlett and the Shakers (hc these guys sound like Led Zeppelin)

Another random headcanon is that they gets along with Chuck. One time, they went with Edge to his shift at Starlight City for the Wingeria and they saw Chuck wearing a shirt that said "fome" (fome is a chilean synonym for boring, also the name of a Los Tres album), so they were like "holy shit u listen to los tres??" and Chuck was like "holy shit yes" (chuck, among others like treble and rudy, looks like the kinda guy to like chilean rock bands leave me and my silly headcanons alone–)

I never really explored a lot of my oc Fae's post-canon world publicly, but Sylvix are together there and it was my headcanon that trans Felix would not be comfortable carrying a child to term, and so they adopt Elspeth. There were already so many Faerghan redheads, that I didn't feel bad about going that route with her design.

I've seen a few people headcanon Miklan a child that they adopt, and have sometimes played with the idea that she's that, but otherwise her origin isn't angsty. Happily chosen by her parents in an orphanage because she was scrappy and because her hair reminded Felix of Sylvain's. A brighter, quieter swordsman than Felix was in his youth, who still manages to remind people of him somehow. A Fraldarius in every way.

She's adopted between five and seven, so they miss some of the younger years and milestones, but are around for her to be young enough that she still mimics some of Sylvain's exaggerated / flirtatious smiles, that she still requires a basic education besides one that would be specifically required for people of their rank, that other discoveries and heartbreaks and illnesses are still a new and delicate thing.

Felix is better with making Elspeth feel better after an injury, or handling colds and impatience and distraction. Sylvain is more approachable with emotional conversations, but I don't think he's the best at them or that he'd want to have them without Felix present so Elspeth has to deal with both of her parents talking about her insecurities and desires almost like strategy. Ultimately it works because Felix and Sylvain are mature and kind-hearted and attentive to their daughter, but it's definitely unconventional.

They're always trying to pull each other closer. A whole family with a concern of living up to deserving one another.

I also want to add that she's at the Officer's Academy at the same time as two of my ot5 kids: (Hilda and Lorenz's youngest) Baldovin or Vinnie, and (Fae and Claude's only daughter) Sadaf. Vinnie and Sadaf, despite having different birth parents, near consider each other twins. Born only a few months apart and raised together by parents who were involved with one another, they're very familial at least, and the best of friends.

I wouldn't say I ship any of my next gen (with the specific exception of a merciedue fankid and an ot5 child), because I've not really invested in them as teens / adults the way that I've invested in them being children, but I like Elspeth developing a crush on Vinnie, and friends with both of them.

Baldovin is nothing like very little like Lorenz in temperament, unlike his elder siblings. He's loud. He's boistrous. He's short as a Goneril. Here's another paragraph about him from this post:

Baldovin (minor Crest of Goneril: Sometimes allows combat arts to prevent enemy counterattacks.) is a fortress knight. A slow, sturdy wall of armor. Lives to defend, and tries to incapacitate. Sympathy for his enemies. Feels like attacking marching units while mounted on either wyvern or horseback is unfair to man and animal, and thus only uses mounts to get from point A to point B. Crest nonsense: WILL wrestle your wyvern for fun, and enjoys the shock in how their necks rear back when his Crest allows him to pin their chin down while their wings struggle (squish that cat).

I also feel obligated to mention that in Fae's canon / post-canon, Sylvain joined the Golden Deer, and Dimitri survived Gronder but did not end up ruling as king. I have a few dimimari fics about where that left him, but they aren't fully transparent that Felix also remains his best friend.

14. How often does each partner cry? How do their partners engage or react to the differences in emotion between themselves and their partner(s)?

I think that while Felix did grow out of crying as often as he did as a child, that Sylvain cries a lot and unfortunately for Felix, it becomes more and more likely that seeing Sylvain in tears makes him cry also. Felix puts in so much effort post-canon in his relationship to Sylvain (among his platonic relationships to others), so that they can have harder conversations and feel better — and not simply awkward, after vulnerabilities are shared. It surprises Sylvain how bad he, himself, is at communicating, but it becomes more obvious through Felix's growth and efforts. They still have time to be young men together, and Sylvain also improves at giving tears their space, whether from sadness or otherwise.

16. If prompted to describe what love and / or acceptance feels like in their relationship, what sort of answer would each partner give? If this is not their honest answer, what would be the true answer for them?

Felix would say it feels like coming home. Like having a place to rest and not have to worry about being anything but you are.

Sylvain would say it feels like a warm fire after ages in the cold, like something you want to throw yourself into to recover from the chill, but that you have to wait for and tend and appreciate for it to steadily warm you.

Maisy has A TON OF COMFORT ITEMS TBH. Mainly from me because I am a person who saves everything so she most definitely ended up getting a lot of my sanrio stuffed animals 😭 and my baby blanket too. I like to imagine T.oki gave her one of his many deady bears (he has a couple in canon that are different colors 🥺) and they play tea party with hers and his brown deady bear which is shown on screen with him a lot in the show 😭

So I had a thought about my hosie fankids in the ffxiv AU while talking about them in the FC I'm in.

Hayley and Leo are a little complicated--in terms of how I wrote their stories in TVDU--to translate into FFXIV AU, mostly because of the types of Jobs that you can pick in FFXIV (here's the full post of Hosie and my Hosie fankids with the FFXIV Jobs I have chosen for them)

Since Hayley is a werewolf with vampire blood running inside her and has no affinity with magic whatsoever, like I'm talking her witch side is so dormant that it's practically non-existent. But in FFXIV terms, I think maybe she does have some abilities with magic, but in a way that it doesn't actually work. Like I'm talking FFXIV!Hayley cannot use magic in the way her Mom and Momma Hope and Josie, her older sister Lana, or her twin brother Jay can do. But I think for her, it's okay because Hayley's fight style is--like in that post I linked above--is more "rush into the throws of battle and right in the front lines" rather than staying behind. Also while writing this, I think having her take up Reaper Job would actually be really good and sort of fitting to the "she's a werewolf who also has vampire blood running through her" tidbit. Fuck i have to update that post now lmao. But yeah, she theoretically can do magic in FFXIV world but chooses not to because she would rather be front and centre in battle and taking the enemy's target off of her loved ones and onto her so everyone else can get a chance to get in their shots.

With Leo, however. In TVDU, he's the only human amongst his family of supernatural, and that can lead to a bit of an inferiority complex (maybe?) especially when he wants to be a part of his older sibling's adventures and world but can't because he's just a kid. just a human. So it makes him feel pretty shitty. But in FFXIV AU, that can't really be a thing because for starters, Hosie+Lana+twins are Hyur, which are basically just humans; while Leo is a Miqot'e, which is basically a cat race (now you too can live out your catboy/catgirl dreams). So I would have to focus on abilities, specifically magical abilities. So that means, Hosie+Lana+twins have some sort of affinity to magic (except Hayley's is a bit um, wonky and she doesn't use it like ever so it's fine). I have his main Job be Scholar--so I think the way he can cast spells and magic is through the Carbuncle(/Selene but I glamoured the fairy to a yellow Carbuncle because I thought it fits Leo way better so in canon-lore, Leo has a yellow Carbuncle since he was young!) because the Carbuncle formed a really strong bond with Leo, so the Carbuncle's lending Leo its abilities to allow him to cast magic and spells.

Same reasoning for when Leo picks up Summoner Job because, again, Leo's probably befriended the three main Egis (Titan, Garuda, Ifrit Egis) and Carbuncle is like the middleman kind of to help bring the Egis into battle whenever Leo needs or calls it.

Now, for the Astrologian Job, I'm not entirely sure yet. I'm still refining some semantics, but so far, I think the idea would be Leo's using the magic that's infused in the Astrologian weapon, the Star Globe, to draw cards to cast spells. So, like the magic isn't inherently his, but he's using the magic already in his weapon to channel what he wants to do, if that makes sense. My other idea was still going with Carbuncle route, which actually I might make canon? Because I think it'd be cute for Leo's Carbuncle to stay beside him all the time despite not being Scholar or Summoner (bc I did have Leo pick up Jobs like Astrologian and Machinist and Bard) and lending Leo its aetheric energy for Leo to use. I think that's cute and yeah, I might stick with that actually. Leo's Carbuncle MVP!

So that's pretty much all I have. I think this is a solid foundation of how to incorporate Hayley and Leo's TVDU backstory ability lore into FFXIV AU, which is always nice to have and I had a lot of fun figuring this out!

Meanwhile, Lummis and Petunia did tell Hegemol of their new parter and talked about them, but after Flower told them everything they chose to hide their true identity from Hegemol along with generally pulling away from him (Lummis can't help but feel angry and protective over his partner whenever he thinks about what happened to them, he can never look at his uncle/godfather the same way again)

I've been actually writing a little fanfic of Flower finding out about this when Lummis ends up going to the palace with his uncle for work, but it's been in WIP hell for months
