Marvel Headcanons Bc I can and I WILL

Natasha and Luna will make bets about fucking anything, but specifically Bucky and Sam. If Natasha and Luna know they're going to be around each other and they'll be there for it, they're making all sorts of bets.

Gwen tries to help on spring cleaning but ends up scaring the shit out of Alpine most times, so Bucky ends up exiling her.

Bucky doesn't actually mind, so most times he secretly lets her help by giving her little mini tasks.

Every time Sam and Bucky are back in Sam's home town, (they visit often), Sarah lets AJ and Cass hang out with them, and it turns out Bucky is actually really good with kids/teens.

It's mostly because AJ and Cass beg to let Sarah bring them over to wherever they are staying.

Alpine hates almost everyone except Sam, because he's gotten used to him, and Clint. Bucky has no idea why, but Alpine just likes Clint.

Every time the gang (Sam, Bucky, Natasha and Luna + Torres; +Clint/Mantis) gets together in a car, they're arguing over who gets to play their music.

At some point, Sam got so fed up with it he just started letting Bucky play his music first no matter how much Natasha or Luna groaned and whined.

Bucky is really sensitive to aggressive noise, so he normally can't stand rock music or similar music.

Because of that, he actually really prefers artists like Billie Eillish and VERY VERY specific Taylor Swift songs, and god, does he love Nightcord at 25 songs.

When Gwen comes over, she has a tendency to play My Little Pony songs on loop, especially the bangers like You'll Play Your Part & The Pony I Want To Be.

Contrary to what Bucky has told Sam and Gwen, he actually rather enjoys when she plays the songs.

Nightmares

Synopsis: You call them in the middle of the night because you had a nightmare

Featuring: Sano Shinichiro, Sano Manjiro, Ryuguji Ken, Mitsuya Takashi, Hanma Shuji, Shiba Hakkai, Kisaki Tetta

Sano Shinichiro

When you called him in the middle of the night, he got alert immediately. He didn't care that it was 3 a.m. and you just woke him up, because he knew you wouldn't do that without a valid reason.

When he picked up and heard you sniffling on the other end, his heart skipped a few beats. You explained to him that you had a nightmare and that you needed to hear his voice to know he's okay, he just replied:

"Stay where you are, I'll be there in 10 minutes."

And he was. Not even 10 minutes later, he texted you that he stood in front of your door. He even brought chocolates to comfort you.

Anyways, ya'll went to your room and cuddled until you both fell asleep again.

Sano Manjiro

If anyone called him in the middle of the night, he'd either decline the call and give them a scolding the next day, or pick up and scare them shitless only with his voice.

However, if he saw your caller ID in the middle of the night, he'd be awake immediately. After only a single ring, he'd pick up and answer with the sweetest, most concerned voice ever.

After you told him you had a nightmare, he'd reassure you over the phone and would stay in the call with you until he was sure you fell asleep again. He wouldn't even close his eyes until he knew you're back in dreamland.

Ryuguji Ken

He's the sweetest. He'll pick up the phone within 10 seconds and sound confused at first, but he wouldn't be annoyed or anything. That's what he gets for being Tōman's inofficial mom.

When he hears that it's you, his heart drops. However, when he heard the reason, he felt a wavo of relief wash over him.

He's another member of the 'shows up at your doorstep' squad. He'd also stay over at your place the next few nights, just to make sure he's there if you have another nightmare.

Mitsuya Takashi

Ok hear me out. He's generally a light sleeper, because of Luna and Mana and he also has a lot of experience with helping someone through a nightmare because of them.

He'd be the best at comforting. Even if he can't leave in the middle of the night because of his sisters, he'd tell you to put the phone under your pillow and he'd hum a sweet and soothing melodie to make you fall asleep again.

Hanma Shuji

I'm terribly sorry to all the Hanma stans out there, but... chances are, he'll not pick up. Not because he doesn't care about you, but because he either doesn't give a shit about who's calling and just declines, or because he confused his ringtone with his alarm and wanted to press the snooze button.

The only chance you have at that point is that he's still awake. Then he'll be a sweetheart. Although he's so unpredictable... sometimes he'd show up, sometimes he'd pick you up to go on a ride on his bike and sometimes he'd stay on the phone eith you, making sure you're okay... in his own way.

Shiba Hakkai

Poor baby doesn't have a clue what's going on. He'll pick up the phone and when he hears you crying or being worried... Hakkai.exe stopped working.

He'll straight-up run to Yuzuha for help. If she's sleeping, he'll just come over and give you a bear hug since he's not good with words. Especially in situations like these.

Kisaki Tetta

As much as he seems like an asshole, he's the sweetest with a partner. A bit overwhelmed at times, but he'd give them the world if they wanted it.

When you called, he was immediately wide awake. Like Hakkai, I feel like he's also not the greatest with talking in stressful situations.

He'd probably try to speak to you about it and to comfort you, but when he realized that he's having troubles with that, he'd just sigh, tell you to wait for 10 minutes and get on his bike.

Give you a fandom phenomenon? Uhhhhh how about the fact that people overcorrected with Sans and his edgy 2016 characterization and instead had him...not care over anything, including Papyrus' death. I'd be mad at it but honestly I can't help but imagine people cringing so hard at their 2016 characterization that they went in the complete opposite direction and it's so funny

Oh yeah it's a very interesting phenomenon for sure! It's extra noticable with Sans due to how popular he is. As for you mentioning people cringing at their past interpretations - that's probably a part of it. People who joined the fandom as angsty preteens are now young adults with different views.

Not to mention, especially the AU fans, but also a lot of others spent a huge amount of time in fanon echo chambers (cough cough, evil Chara effect) instead of interacting with the source material. The fandom being a video game you can only play a few times before it feels repetitive probably doesn't help.

So, there are the old fans. But mainly in 2020, other people have also joined. And unlike the old ones, they just started interacting with the game. It's still fresh in their mind.

... And 2020 led to a lot of people who are new to fandom joining fandoms without knowing proper fandom etiquette. Those people that comment on noncanon ship posts to complain about the fact that it's not canon, and neglect to ignore that fandoms are about fun.

By trying to make him more 'canon' people basically just make him fanon in the complete opposite direction. I also feel like people saw what they did back then by making him so depressed, not just from his brother's death in a no mercy, but also just in general. Usually from a knowledge of resets.

One thing that I haven't noticed a change in is interestingly enough is how people treat his knowledge. Which is way less than people make it. He knows there's a possibility and that the human is connected to it. Hell, he tests if Frisk is a time traveler by giving them a silly password because he doesn't know for sure.

Not that I'm criticizing stories that give him more awareness. The fact that there's so many just means it has great potential. Aftertale is probably my favorite example of that. Geno is such a cool character and the nightmares are a creative way of handling it. 4th wall breaking is probably my favorite phenomenon in all of fiction.

Recently, people have started exploring the idea of other characters having that awareness. I mean, Flowey is canonically aware, and is a mere millimeter away from grasping his world's nature as a video game. He's already treated it as one himself. So, UT!Dusttale was born.

A lot of AU Sanses have that baked into their very character, so I get why people wouldn't touch that (though, it would be extremely interesting to figure out how Dusttale or Something New would work if it was just a deja vu feeling)

I am totally not biased to say I would love a take involving Chara. Pretty sure No More Deals is a similar thing. And you specifically know exactly the details I've thought of for Storyshift: Elevation :)

Oh, and another aspect of the overcorrection thing: AUs.

Back then you could just read up on the concept of an AU Sans and put him somewhere and nobody would give a shit about mischaracterization. Which, you know, isn't perfect but I have to admit it was really fun to do.

Nowdays you compare Dreamtale to Celestia and Luna ONCE in a Discord server to make a bad joke and all hell breaks loose. I get wanting to respect creators more than we did back then, but we have to remember that AUs are just as fanon as 'Don't curse around my bro' Sans.

Fulgrim: gets headaches from crying so hard. keeps a handkerchief nearby because his face gets all gross. at some point in every hardcore crying session he verbally says, "enough." because it annoys him

Perturabo: trying everything in his power to give off the vibe that he never cries. takes every breath very carefully to make sure it's silent, confidently strides off away from this shit (hides away), etc

Konrad: either silently weeping or wailing like a banshee. never in between. he doesn't choose which.

Sanguinius: the only primarch who can pretty cry but only up to a certain level. at some point he starts screaming and wailing like a fox caught in a bear trap and doubling over in pain and his hair gets all stuck to his face

Ferrus: throws tantrums. doesn't collapse to the floor like a toddler but does start breaking things. makes fun of the reason for his upset -- the mid-funeral roast session in some au where Fulgrim dies pre-heresy would get him cancelled on twitter because it's the only way he can deal with something that shattering. Angron: cries for all sorts of reasons. sometimes the nails make him cry, not because they hurt or because he hates them but just because they're directly fucking with his brain chemistry. that's the kind of passive cry where he's crying but it's not an event, it's just his tear ducts doing their thing. used to seek out comfort from his siblings in the pit when he was crying from emotion, now he flips tables and screams

Guilliman: an asthmatic pug caught in a plastic ring. gasping for air, sounds like he's being strangled, the works. sounds like he's dying

Mortarion: also sounds asthmatic, on account of the asthma. his tear ducts don't work right so he doesn't really "cry" so much as hyperventilate and occasionally dry heave

Magnus: the crying is what it is, the psychic crying is the real event. his aura gets real sticky and slow and sad, like syrup, and has a tendency to kind of. contaminate other people with his grief unless he specifically stops it from doing that. I feel like he cries when he's mad, too

Horus: sits down and covers his mouth with his hand and puts his elbow on his knee and cries like that. for some reason I feel like it's especially weird for the luna wolves to see him cry -- it's always weird to see your parent cry, but it's extra weird for them and I'm not sure why. horus sitting on a couch crying with his head in his hands and two luna wolves sending panicked looks at each other 👍

Lorgar: compresses/hugs himself so hard he can't breathe, digs his nails into his skin, etc. we saw in the first heretic that he makes himself physically uncomfortable about grief and that's really stuck with me tbh. doesn't really.... know how to cry without also being in physical pain about it

Vulkan: bows his head and weeps, standing right where he is. weirdly bad at being okay with his own grief specifically -- he'll comfort a brother without issue, but his own makes him feel on edge and sedentary and he needs to move and do something and not stand here being sad, he needs to take action, he can't let it be sticky and slow

Corvus: repression king. he can't cry right now he's too BUSY. fuck this shit. and then there's a trigger and he shatters like a popsicle bridge with too much weight on it. the year of isolation before his departure definitely involved a blanket burrito

I'm going to be very honest and vulnerable here and admit that I'm a bit of a weenie when it comes to drarry, in that I can't see either of them with anybody else ever so, straight up, I have to say I don't ship any other Draco ship. As for the specifics:

Draco/Pansy

Why don't you ship it? Because I 100% see them as friends, like, I feel like they don't have any sexual chemistry but tons of friend chemistry.

What would have made you like it? A straighter Draco, also a Draco who says at least one word about Pansy at any time in the books. Reading the books, we get the impression that Pansy likes Draco but, aside from the fact that he chooses to lay with his head in her lap that one time on the train, Draco doesn't exactly give the impression he's head over heels in return. Even during the train scene, Pansy is trying to suss out wether Draco thinks Ginny is cute but Draco is more busy ranting about the great injustice of being left out of the Slug Club and shows absolutely 0 physical interest in Pansy, like, he behaves more like a cat being pet than a boy cuddling his girlfriend.

Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it? I have nothing but good things to say about Draco and Pansy as friends; I think they share a lot of interests (making fun of people, reading witch weekly, gossip) and I love any fics where their relationship is explored, especially in the context of bffs who had a disastrous high school relationship but quickly moved beyond that.

Draco/Neville

Why don't you ship it? because, from book 2 onward, the two do not interact at all. Also, if Draco had actually been Neville's worst bully, I'd find the idea of a romantic relationship between them gross on principle since bullyxvictim is a gross dynamic to me (even if the bully no longer bullies and the victim gets all confident and shit).

What would have made you like it? A modicum of interest in the other by either party. Any indication of Neville's feelings about Draco, also for Draco's opinion of Neville to be anything other than what it is in canon (dismissive).

Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it? I think that, in order to ship Draco and Neville together, you basically need to come up with stuff from the ground up and, in the right hands, it could turn into something interesting.

Draco/Ron

This is different from the ships above because I used to actually ship them together (before I became a weenie), like, I used to read dron and I thought it was fun. Still, the ship has sailed so here we are.

Why don't you ship it? because Harry exists

What would have made you like it? Harry being written like a dick, Harry reading as overwhelmingly straight, Ron and Hermione being less obviously into eachother.

Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it? Look, there's plenty of potential to dron: Romeo and Juliet-style family feud? check. A heated, sometimes physical enmity? check. Two people with complicated feelings about Harry Potter comparing notes and finding out they both want to be someone's n.1? check. I think Draco and Ron could make great friends/frenemies and I always enjoy when fics take the time to develop their relationship because they have chemistry; sadly they are overshadowed by drarry, the ship with the most chemistry to ever exist so they're a no start.

"Wait," you stop in your tracks as your twin, Jisung, continues forward. "You're on the baseball team?"

He looks back at you with furrowed brows, halting his steps as well. "Yeah, I didn't tell you?" He mumbles as you catch up to him. "My friends and I tried out for it, and we made the team."

A giggle leaves your lips as you shake your head. "Han Jisung joined the baseball team? Hanji, can you even hit the ball?" You tease him, knowing some sports aren't exactly his strong suit.

Jisung scoffs before slapping your shoulder. You step away from him, wincing from the pain. "That's rude, Y/N!" He huffs, crossing his arms over his chest. "I can hit the fucking ball."

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry! I just didn't know baseball was your thing," you apologize to him, laying a hand on his forearm.

"It's okay. I guess you're right. I did have a little bit of a hard time in tryouts. I'm kinda surprised I made the team," Jisung mentions while rubbing the back of his neck.

The two of you walk up to one of the campus buildings, and Jisung opens the door for you. You thank him while continuing further inside, glancing back to make sure he's still behind you.

Once the students clear out, both of you walk side-by-side again. "So, who else made the team?" You ask him, fiddling with the straps of your backpack.

"It's me, Chan, Seungmin, Jeongin, and Hyunjin," he lists off, and the smile drops from your face when hearing Seungmin's name.

"Seungmin?" You repeat, a hint of disgust in your voice. "He plays baseball?"

He nods his head in response and glances towards you. "He's like, the best out of all of us," Jisung laughs. You involuntarily roll your eyes. "You know, you should be nicer to him."

"Me!? Hanji, I'm always nice to him," you scoff, growing upset. "It's him. He's always fucking picking on me and saying mean shit."

"That's just how he is, Y/N. I've mentioned that before," he sighs, bringing a hand to his face. "He doesn't do it to be malicious."

You cast your gaze to the floor. "Could've fooled me," you mumble quietly, adjusting the bag on your back. "I gotta get to class. I'll see you later."

"Come to practice tonight!" Jisung almost yells as you walk away from him.

You wince and release a small hiss. "I'll see what I can do, Hanji," you tell him while rounding the corner.

You groan, slamming your head against the wooden table. "I hate that you're right," you mumble before groaning again. "Will you come with me? It'll be more bearable if you're there."

"Yeah, I'll go!" She grins at you. "By chance… will Chan be there?"

A smirk comes to your lips, and you lift your head slowly. "Hanji did say he made the team, so I would assume," you mention, tilting your head to the side a bit. "Does someone have a crush?"

Luna releases a scoff, and she shakes her head at you. "What? No, no, I was just curious," she laughs nervously. "I remembered you said that he got onto the team."

"Good lie," you laugh loudly, quickly covering your mouth after.

"Oh, please," Luna rolls her eyes. "I could say the same for you with Seungmin."

You give her a blank look. "You're kidding, right?" You ask her, an eyebrow raised. "I can't fucking stand the kid."

"You're always bringing him up in conversation," she points out while raising her brow. "Like, the other day. I told you about my singing lessons, and you literally brought up Seungmin."

"He's in your class. It was bound to come up," you shrug, dismissing the example. "I don't like Seungmin. End of discussion."

Luna laughs, and she shakes her head. "Okay, whatever you say, honey."

You grumble to yourself and glance towards the little café. "I'm going to get something to drink. Do you want anything?" You ask her while standing up from your chair.

"Yeah, I'll have my usual," she tells you.

You nod your head and make your way over towards the short line. You cross your arms over your chest as you look over the menu. The person in front of you takes a couple of steps forward, and you follow suit.

"Y/N," a familiar voice calls out your name, causing you to turn your head. Seungmin stands behind you with a smirk on his lips, waving at you.

You bite the inside of your cheek, resisting the urge to roll your eyes. "Seungmin," you mumble before turning back around, hoping he'll stop talking to you.

"Jisung says you're coming to our practice tonight," he mentions, taking a few steps closer to you.

"No, I'm not," you say out of spite.

Seungmin chuckles and rests his arms on your shoulders. "Luna also said you are," he whispers into your ear.

You close your eyes and let out a deep breath. "Okay, and so what if I do? I'm going for Jisung," you sternly tell him, shrugging his arms off of you.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, idiot," you reassure him while stepping up to the cashier. You swiftly tell her your order along with Luna's. You pull out your wallet to pay when Seungmin runs into you.

"Add an iced americano, please," he interrupts you, and he places his hands over yours, stopping you from paying.

"What are you doing?" You ask him with narrowed eyes.

Seungmin glances down at you. "I'm paying. What does it look like?"

You scoff and turn away from him. "Unbelievable," you mumble while standing in front of the pick-up counter.

"Oh, come on," Seungmin draws out, bending slightly to look you in the eyes. "I just bought your drinks. A thank you would suffice."

"I didn't ask you to pay for it, Seungmin," you spit. The barista places yours and Luna's drink down, and you quickly grab them before walking back to your table.

Seungmin watches you walk away from him, releasing a tiny huff. "I would say she's not a fan of you," another barista mentions to him, causing him to glance towards the employee.

"Yeah, I gathered that, thanks," he deadpans before taking his coffee.

You sit on the bleachers with Luna. Your arms are crossed over your chest as you send daggers Seungmin's way.

As soon as the two of you showed up, he sought out the need to annoy you. Every time you made eye contact with him, he'd give you his stupid smirk. And each time, you'd look away with an eye roll.

"Chan looks so good," Luna sighs to herself, not realizing you could hear her.

"He does look good, I agree," you snicker, glancing towards the younger woman.

You watch her eyes widen, her gaze quickly meeting yours. "Shit, I mean -"

"You can't lie your way out of this one, ma'am. Just admit that you like him," you giggle. "Maybe I can have Hanji put in a good word for you."

She blushes at your offer before looking back towards the field. "Would he really do it?" She asks in a whisper.

"Yeah, of course. He'd do anything for his little sister and her best friend," you wink while standing up.

"Wait, now!?" She panics as you make your way down the bleachers. "Y/N!"

You wave her off and make your way towards the dugout. You peek your head around the corner, looking for your twin brother. "Hyunjin," you call out his friend's name, gaining the tall man's attention. "Have you seen Hanji?"

"He's talking to Seungmin in the other dugout," he mentions, and you nod your head.

You slowly walk towards the other dugout, hoping they'll be done conversing by the time you get there. You peek your head around the corner at the same time as Seungmin turns the corner.

You bump into him and lose your footing. A gasp leaves your lips as you begin to fall back. Seungmin's hand wraps around your wrist, stopping you from falling onto your ass. His free hand finds a place on your waist after he pulls you into him.

"Shit, you okay?" He asks, his brown eyes meeting yours. "I didn't see you."

"I-I'm okay," you stutter, expecting something sarcastic to come from his mouth. "I shouldn't have peeked around."

Seungmin chuckles while dropping both hands to his sides. "It's okay. Just be careful," he mentions before walking away from you.

What just happened? You think to yourself, extremely surprised that he was nice. You shake your head and walk further into the dugout, finding Jisung sitting on the bench.

"Hey, loser," you smile, sitting down beside him. He doesn't say anything, and the smile slips from your lips. "Hanji, what's wrong?"

"I-I made a fool of myself," he whispers, a lone tear slipping down his cheek. "The rest of the team laughed at me. So, I'm just…"

"What the fuck," you grow angry, standing from your seat. "We'll see who has the last laugh."

Jisung grabs a hold of your arm, stopping you from doing anything. "It's okay, Y/N. I just talked to Seungmin about it, and he said he'll mention something," he mentions, his round eyes meeting yours. "Can you just sit with me for a minute?"

"Yeah, of course," you mumble, sitting back down. You wrap an arm around his shoulder as the two of you sit in silence. "I'm sorry I made fun of you."

Your brother laughs and shakes his head. "It's okay. I knew you didn't mean it. I just wanted to try and fit in," Jisung sighs, resting his head against the concrete wall.

"Hanji, you should always be yourself. The guys love you just as you are. I love you just as you are," you reassure him. "Don't try to be like the other scumbags. It's not worth it."

Jisung takes your words in, nodding his head after a minute of silence. "Can you do me a favor?" He asks, turning his head towards you. You nod your head, waiting for him to continue. "Can you get along with Seungmin? I would really love for all of us to get dinner after."

"I'll try my best," you cave in, wanting nothing more than to make your brother happy. "Is it okay if Luna comes? I'm trying to hook her up with Channie."

"Oh my god, uh, yes. I've been trying to get him to talk to her!" He slaps your arm out of excitement.

You gasp, widening your eyes. "No fucking way! He likes her!?" You ask in a hushed whisper, not wanting to be too loud.

Jisung nods his head vigorously. "Yes, he does! The boy is fucking smitten," he laughs. "Let's go play matchmaker!"

You shiver, not realizing it was supposed to be chilly. You glance around, trying to find your brother before the first game of the season starts.

It's been a few weeks since you went to their practice. Not only have you been hanging out with his friends more, but you and Seungmin have gotten a little closer.

You find Luna talking to Chan, a smile coming to your lips as his hand snakes around her waist. He whispers something into her ear, making the shorter woman giggle.

"I'm so glad the matchmaking worked," you grin, walking towards the school doors.

You walk further into the building, making your way to the boys' locker room. You crack the door open before calling out Jisung's name.

"No one's in there," Seungmin's voice mentions, causing you to jump.

You whip around and place a hand on your heart. "Jesus, Seungmin," you mutter. "You scared the shit out of me."

He laughs while adjusting the baseball cap on his head. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. I'm surprised you didn't hear me. The cleats are pretty loud," Seungmin motions to his shoes, both of you glancing down at his feet.

"Sorry, I'm preoccupied," you chuckle, rubbing one of your arms. "Do you know if Hanji's hoodie is in here? I didn't bring a jacket."

Seungmin raises a brow. "You didn't bring a jacket with you? Our games are at night, Y/N," he sighs before going into the locker room. He comes back out almost instantly, pushing a gray hoodie into your hands.

"This isn't Hanji's," you trail off, glancing up at him through your lashes.

"I know. It's mine," he bluntly states, giving you a small smile. "Put it on. I gotta get going."

He walks away from you as you look dumbfounded. He's letting me wear his hoodie? You gently bite your lip and slip the article of clothing on. You inhale the scent of his cologne, and it makes your heart flutter.

You slip your hands into the pocket before making your way back to the bleachers. You find Luna pretty quickly and make your way to her.

"Who's hoodie is that?" She asks you, her eyes dancing between your face and the hoodie.

"Oh, it's Seungmin's," you blush, sitting down beside her.

She lets out a loud gasp, capturing the attention of people around you. "No fucking way," she grins. "You like Seungmin."

"Oh, fuck off," you roll your eyes, looking away from her. You see Seungmin standing on the pitcher's mound, winding his arm up before the game starts. He laughs at something Hanji says, his smile making your stomach flip. "Okay, maybe I do."

Luna smacks your arm. "Girl, go for it. Please go for it. You two would be so fucking cute," she groans, tilting her head back.

"I don't know, maybe," you mumble, keeping your eyes on Seungmin.

The first batter on the opposite team steps onto the field, signaling that the game is starting. Hushed conversations continue to happen around you as Seungmin throws the first pitch.

You cheer a little inside when the batter swings and misses. "Strike," the umpire yells loud enough for everyone to hear. A small group of cheers filled the air.

Hanji throws the ball back to Seungmin before crouching down again. Your fingers play with the hem of his hoodie you're wearing. He throws the ball again, only this time the batter hits it head on.

The ball drives straight into Seungmin's back, hitting him at full speed. Everyone sitting around you gasps as he collapses to the ground, clutching his lower back.

"Seungmin!" You yell, sprinting up from your seat. You tumble down the bleachers as graceful as you can, your hands colliding with the metal fence afterward.

Your twin runs up to him as well as his other teammates. You stand on your toes, trying to see how he's doing. You breathe heavily as Chan and Hyunjin help him up from the ground.

You follow them inside the school, bursting through the locker room doors. Chan's eyes meet yours first. "Y/N, you can't be -"

"I don't care," you cut him off, moving around the wall of lockers to see Seungmin. He's lying on his stomach, the back of his jersey is lifted, and you can see the welt the ball left behind. "Are you okay? Do you need anything?"

Seungmin chuckles and meets your gaze. "I don't need anything, Y/N. Hyunjin went to grab an ice pack," he reassures you, watching you crouch beside him.

You nod your head, resting your arms against your thighs. "It's pretty shitty to be out so quickly," you try to joke with him, not wanting to see him in pain. "You're kind of a shit player."

He rolls his eyes at you, a laugh leaving his lips. "And here I thought we were getting intimate," Seungmin smirks before releasing a wince.

You rest an arm on his back, feeling his warm skin against your fingertips. "Let me go see what's taking Hyunjin so long," you mention and attempt to stand up.

Seungmin stops you from leaving, lacing his fingers with yours. "Stay with me," he whispers.

"Okay," you whisper back, gently falling to your knees.

His eyes are fixed on your conjoined hands, watching your thumb stroke his skin. "I wanna take you out somewhere," Seungmin mentions, flicking his gaze up to you. "If you'll let me."

You nod your head without hesitation, bringing your free hand to his face. "I would love to, Seungmin," you tell him softly, stroking his cheek.

The brunette moves to sit up, and you attempt to stop him. He pushes your hands away before placing both of his hands on your cheeks. Your breath hitches in your throat as he leans in close, his breath fanning your face.

Your eyes flutter shut when his nose brushes against yours. Your stomach does more flips as Seungmin connects his lips with yours. Your hands find their way into his hair, gently combing your fingers through it, slowly moving your lips on his.

"Okay, Seungmin, I got -" Hyunjin starts but quickly cuts himself off. The two of you pull away from each other and glance towards Hyunjin. His eyes are wide, and his lips are parted in shock. "I-I'm sorry."

You chuckle and shake your head. You stand up straight before taking the ice pack from Hyunjin. "I'll take it from here," you tell him, and he nods his head.

"Wear protection," he whispers to you before booking it out of the locker room.

A blush covers your cheeks as your grip on the pack tightens. "What did he say to you?" Seungmin asks, causing you to twirl around.

"Nothing," you squeak. You walk back over to him and gently push him back down onto his stomach.

You stand above his lower body and push up the black and white jersey. You place the ice pack on the welt, earning a hiss from Seungmin.

"Sorry," you apologize, trailing your fingertips up his spine. "Let me buy dinner after."

"No," he answers immediately.

You click your tongue, hating how stubborn he can be. "Let me treat you tonight, and then you can treat me on the next date," you try to negotiate, leaning forward to look him in the eyes.

"Promise?"

You giggle, placing a kiss on his forehead. "I promise."

I love Warren but he is high key lost potential and it makes me so sad. His character doesn't have the best writing and has some pretty bad dialogue lines for no reason. Also we don't lnow anything about Warren besides the fact he loves science, movies, and has a crush on Max. Most major characters in the game have a backstory of some kind....except Warren. For god sakes, we get to talk to poor Taylor and learn about her sick mom, but there's net zero info on Warren His character is already very bare bones effort, the fact the devs caved in to procefielders and fucked him up even more to make them happier makes me livid. I stand on my belief that Carlos Luna was sabotaged. I also think there are other LIS1 characters who are lost potential like Brooke, Courtney, Stella, Dana and etc but that's a story for another day. 💀

I just wish we got so much more and to see more of who he was because he is so sweet, and I would've loved to see that more. It infuriates me to no end, knowing that the devs doubled down and appealed to the larger part of the fanbase, giving him fewer appearances, stating that he is a "stalker" in canon. I haven't read the comics but I I'm pretty sure they butchered his character there too.

I get that this game was important to many people, ESPECIALLY in 2014, because of the main female character getting the choice to romance her also female friend, that was super important and still is!!! But it's also not good to completely wipe another character, also stated as Max's best friend and another romance option and just. Giving us the option to hug or kiss him?? I'm not a big grahamfield-er either, but they had a lot of potential if they didn't completely ruin Warren's character because people didn't like him. There's still people who do??

I would've loved more depth to his character, even though it's really nice to read between the lines and make up some of my own things, I'm super afraid of going off of canon but like. There's barely any canon character to go off of so I can make up my own shit as I please- /pos

But I would've loved some dialogue of him worrying over having to study, and he probably shouldn't be out and about, gives us the feel that he pressures himself too much even if he's already doing his best and is one of the highest achieving students at Blackwell. Would've loved to see him being a bit mischievous at times after being exposed to Chloe, I firmly believe he'd be easily influenced and change his personality for the people he hangs out with without knowing. Which adds more depth!!

But ahhhhhh, I'm sorry for all the rants, guys😔😭 I don't want this to be all of what my blog is but everyone has a little hate/dislike in their heart and for me,,,,is assassinations of good characters. Brooklyn is the oldest. She’s one year older than Conny and almost five years older than the twins. Conny is one year younger than Brooklyn and four years older than the twin. Roxy and Rocket are almost five years younger than Brooklyn and four years younger than Conny.

Brooklyn doesn’t have a nickname per se but her dads call her their little dancer sometimes. Conny is sometimes called Con but usually they just say Conny. Her dads sometimes call her honey, or hun. Roxy doesn't have one either, her dads just call her princess but Rocket is often called Rocky as a joke, so all the children have o’s and y’s in their names. His dad’s sometimes call him their star, or rockstar

Brooklyn does ballet until she’s 12 and then gives it up for hip hop.

Conny loves animals, she hates school and she’s barely inside unless she has to. She especially loves birds, specifically ducks and chickens. At eight, up until she’s twelve, she has a circus phase.

Rocket has a new hobby every other week.

Roxy loves acting, dressing up or doing makeup.

Albert has two stepbrothers, Oscar and Morris, who are also his cousins. Morris is six years older than him and four years older than Oscar. Oscar is four years younger than Morris and two years older than Albert. Albert is six years younger than Morris and two years younger than Oscar.

Alberts mom died when he was 17, which left him alone with his stepdad, because Oscar and Morris already moved out at that point. His stepdad was pretty abusive, and alcoholic after Alberts mom, Lady, passed.

Races real name is Ed. He was kicked out by his parents for being gay at 14 and then adopted by Medda. His adoptive brothers are Jack and Crutchie (real name Charlie). All three of them were born in the same year but Jack is the oldest by a few months, and Race is the youngest, making Crutchie the middle child.

Spot lost his family in a housefire when he was pretty young. Only he and his older sister Niamh survived. Spot’s real name is Carlo.

Niahm is 7 years older than Spot.

Spot often blames himself for being one of the only ones that survived the fire. He used to burn himself as a teenager, to feel the same pain that his family must have felt in their final moments.

After Alberts mom died he used to hurt himself too.

Same for Race after getting kicked out by his parents.

Spot is Hispanic, Latino. He’s from Cuba originally but he and Niamh moved to New York after the fire. he has short dark hair. He’s very short but makes up for it with muscles. A lot of muscles. So many muscles.

Albert is white and from Brazil originally. He used to live there until he was three. Then his mom moved to Canada and his dad to alabama, which is where he switched every two weeks until he was seven. Then he and his mom moved to New York and moved in with Alberts stepdad. He has ginger, fluffy hair and an athletic stature.

Race is an Italian immigrant. He lived in New York for as long as he can remember. He’s white and has has blonde curly hair and is really, really tall.

Brooklyn is black, and she’s adopted. Her parents are unknown and also where she comes from. But she was extremely shy when she first got adopted and flinched at sudden movements, leaving little to imagination.

Conny a blonde, white canadian girl and is also adopted since she was two. They started to look for someone with similar genetics as Race.

Roxy and Rocket are Alberts biological children. But also adopted by Race and Spot. Roxy is brown and has black long hair, looking a bit more like her birth mother, while Rocket has short, reddish /blonde hair

idk if this has been discussed before, but do you know what kind of power jeanne’s mark has given vanitas? i feel like it’s such a crucial part of the story but it’s never talked about 😭

I'll honest, the details of how the Marks work aren't something I'm incredibly confident on. I do think you're right that they haven't been explained as much as they could be. Especially not Luna's Marks and the transfer of power they allow, since Vanitas is purposely cagey about that. That said, I do think I have an explanation for this issue:

I don't believe Jeanne's Mark is meant to have given Vanitas any power in the way that you mean.

In the panel you've included, when it says vampires "embed a portion of their power in someone else," it doesn't mean the Marked victim can use the power of the vampire that Marked them. Look at the panel right before the one you included:

Leaving a Mark is claiming a person as your prey. Giving extra power to someone you intend to drink would be extremely counter-productive for vampires. Can you imagine if Astolfo had inherited powers from all twenty-something of the vampires that Marked him? That would be a terrible strategy for a predator.

Rather, it's called a Mark of Possession for a reason. Like the above quote says, they're in large part a statement aimed at other vampires. A Marked human is a human that has been claimed as a vampire's personal possession, and the Mark serves as a keep out sign for others. The vampire that Marks a human imbues that Mark with some of their power so that other vampires who see it will say "oh shit, this human has been claimed by someone powerful. We shouldn't take what's theirs because we don't want to fuck with them."

The confusing factor in this, of course, is that Vanitas has inherited power from Luna, and that inheritance seems to be tied to his Mark. However, in addition to the usual process of Marking, Luna has also made Vanitas their kin.

We've yet to get a specific explanation of what being made someone's kin actually means (thanks again to Vanitas's caginess about Luna). However, seeing as this phrase has only ever come up in relation to Luna, Vanitas, and Misha, it has to mean something beyond the usual process of leaving a Mark.

So tldr, Vanitas does get a portion of Luna's power through the Mark they left on him, but that seems to be only because they also made him their kin. When a human is Marked in the normal, non-kin way (like what Jeanne does to Vanitas), there's no transfer of power. A portion of the vampire's power is left in the Mark itself to serve as a signal to other vampires, but that does nothing to enhance or power up the human themselves.

Most of the time, the Marks are just extremely fancy magic cattle brands.

okay. i am almost a month late to this ask hi @ethanmilo ... sorry about that... and i will be using it to give the barty hcs you asked for over a month before this but the ask expired... sorry about that again... my bad time is scary

but yes barty headcanons. these may end up leaning into bartylus territory because i am So obsessed with them right now but i have no idea what i'm going to write yet so we'll see HAHA

(jumping back here after writing this, most of these are lighthearted but some do get a bit more serious/dark, nothing out of character for what you see scrolling on maraurders tumblr but i just don't want people to be shocked by the tone shift)

he doesn't take day-to-day school life seriously and fucks around in most of the classes he doesn't skip altogether BUT his competitiveness is not to be underestimated. he's barely in class and he never pays attention but he gets away with it because he's so smart that when he started school he was already suuper advanced. he just kept working on his own and so was always way ahead of whatever he was supposed to be learning, so he's super annoying and disruptive during classes but when it comes time to it he's still at the top of all his classes. he and reg are always warring for the number one spot and they're a nightmare to be around during exams because they are SO competitive

he'd give himself those shitty stick and poke tattoos at like age fourteen, if you've seen the videos of kids on tiktok with the ugliest shoddiest tattoos you've ever seen you know what i mean... i just found this image on pinterest and this is Exactly the sort of shit he'd have. i think he'd have always been constantly drawing on his work and skin with a quill/pen and he does not fear permanence. the moment he found a way to give himself tattoos he was doing it.

the absolute biggest shit stirrer you've ever met, everything he does is always in the hopes of pissing someone off. he will lie, he will argue, he will push and shove his way into a confrontation and when someone eventually breaks his nose he just starts laughing

he knows Everyone. he has connections to everyone in whatever city he's in, he constantly "knows a guy" and every time it's the most absurd story that his friends have never heard a single word of but it's 100% true. his lore is infinite. and people expect it to be limited to just where he lives but no, he could go to a whole new country and still be being stopped every 5 minutes by some old friend who's thrilled to see him

related to the above, he is that Coolest Fucking uncle. he's awful with kids but god damn it if he doesn't have the most legendary stories to tell luna as often as she could ever want!!

he knows a shit ton of languages. he started learning them because he was bored and it eventually it just became a Thing and he's fluent in like 4 or 5 but can hold a decent conversation in upwards of 10 others too

he looks like he smells bad. he wouldn't smell bad when he was younger, still too used to certain privileges of his class, but the further he strayed from his father and family, especially into young adulthood, i think he would start to—unless regulus was in his life, in which case he'd better smell like fucking roses if he ever wanted to be seen anywhere even Near him in public

i heavily associate him with nu metal and post industrial music but i also think that when he was younger he would've been suuper into all those whiny indie rock bands that normal people call midwest emo, music nerds crucify you for calling midwest emo, and i have no clue what to call. he'd totally have his own band inspired by them too, and he totally has the voice for it—the voice that's objectively terrible but works perfectly for that style of music

he doesn't talk about how he feels like ever but those close to him have worked out ways to get him what he needs when he needs it. he refuses to ask for help but his friends know him well enough that they don't need him to ask, they can pick up his question in far fewer words, and even though it's still hard for him to even imply that he needs help it's a lot easier when he can talk around the issue rather than having to actually using his words. his friends know that it'd be better if he Did use his words but they also know that if they tried to stop letting him get away with not asking properly he'd just stop trying to ask at all

his favourite film genres are horror and action, the gorier the better. he loooooves all the saw films

he's super messy, his room is a fucking NIGHTMARE. shit EVERYWHERE. clothes strewn all around, dishes stacked in several tall piles, three different rubbish bins that are each around 70% full from the times he's been forced to "clean up" and eventually gotten bored/distracted. regulus despises it and refuses to go anywhere near his room meanwhile evan is so excited because every time he goes into barty's room he discovers a new species of mould. sometimes when he's really lucky barty will kick over a pile of clothes to find something and like eight cockroaches scurry out (evan immediately rushes to grab as many of them as possible before they disappear and then takes them home)

by the time he was a preteen he'd given up on the idea that his father would ever be proud of him, had flipped to doing everything in his power to anger him further, entirely stopped caring about the consequences because if his father would hate him no matter what he did why not make it reflect badly back on him, since he cared so much about his public image as a politician. he never intended to leave though, because he couldn't bear the thought of leaving his mother with him. that was until he pushed too far with his dad, got too sucked into the lifestyles of others who'd given up just like him, fell too deeply into the depression and the anger and the violence, until he crossed a line and his mother was looking at him like she was disappointed, too. he realised that he was trying so hard to stay for his mother but staying was making him a worse person and it wasn't worth it anymore if she could no longer see what he was doing as a sacrifice, and only as surface level "badness". he hated leaving his mother more than he hated his dad but in the end staying was only making things worse for the both of them

he uses humour and stupidity as a defence mechanism, and while he does find it fun to do ridiculous and reckless things he also does it because it gives him a role to fill. he can't stand being genuine because he's terrified of rejection, so he'd rather lean into all the superficial judgements made about him. if when someone shuffles away from him in public transport he bares his teeth at them and when someone expects him to be stupid he purposefully misunderstands a simple concept, then nobody actually knows him and nobody can hurt him in a way that matters. the person they insult isn't actually him so they can't possibly get to him

he is VERY judgemental and he and regulus can spend hours talking shit about anyone from lifelong classmates to complete strangers. it surprises everyone that he actually gets along with remus really well, but it's because remus has a more judge-y side that he hides when with anyone but regulus and, apparently, barty

he and dorcas are the gay man and lesbian best friends duo and people have probably mistaken them as a couple before, which they'd both be mortified by. "have they seen us?!?!"

We know you enjoy fucked up characters. But which HP and Twilight characters do you actually like/consider decent at least as people, not characters? I'd love a reasoning, if you have time for it, but if you don't, just a list would do, thank you!

(As for my actually 'liking' that's a different story, as you note, I do genuinely like the fucked up characters who I claim are abominable. They're interesting to me, anon.)

Harry Potter

I'm only going to bother listing off the at least somewhat present characters. We're not going to talk about shop keepers who have two lines one time or someone who just gets mentioned offscreen.

Neville Longbottom

Neville's a good kid and kind of the Charlie Brown of the series. Just, god, this kid puts up with so much shit even from those who are supposed to kind of be his friends.

However, I can never remember him ever being remotely awful even in a normal teenage way. He's just a really nice kid who has shitty teenage friends.

Luna Lovegood

Luna's a bit strange but also suffers from the seeming to be a good kid with shitty friends syndrome. Especially when those friends are worse to her than they are to Neville (quite the accomplishment). Luna should have blown her lid years ago but takes it all in stride even when Ron, Harry, and Hermione are actively making fun of her to her face.

God, Luna, I'm so sorry.

Fleur Delacour

Fleur is standoffish to Harry at first, but it's reasonable given the position she's in, her age at the time, and that it looks like Hogwarts favoritism. However, to me she generally acts nice and like a very decent person, even when the Weasleys are giving her constant hell for daring to date Bill.

Viktor Krum

Viktor seems like a nice enough guy. We don't see too much of him but he's friendly, approachable, he and Hermione have a great time at the dance and brief romance and every bad thing he ever did turned out to be him getting imperiused.

Twilight

Charlie Swan

Charlie has some serious flaws and some issues when it comes to seeing Jacob clearly/disregarding his daughter but he does genuinely seem to try his best and have her best interests at heart.

Billy Black

Billy, you poor man. In every instant Billy is trying to do right by his son, his people, his friends, or Bella and he comes off a superstitious madman, an old man who has no idea what he's talking about and the Cullens are amazing, or someone who doesn't understand.

Jessica Stanley

Jessica's a gossip and a teenage girl but she goes out of her way to do right by all of her friends. We don't see too much with the other girls, as Bella... cares about Bella, but she goes above and beyond for Bella when none of her other friends are there for her.

She nopes out (as she should have when hanging around Bella became dangerous for her) but she hangs out with Bella later when Bella's... stabilized and never brings up what happened.

Beautifully repaid for this by Edward and Bella both thinking she's The Worst.

Mike Newton

Mike's not a bad kid, he's just a teenage boy. He's about what I'd expect from any teenage boy in any high school. He's very interested in girls, yes, but he also reacts in ways normal people should like say when Bella looks like she's going to pass out in Biology over the blood testing and he's freaking out over it.

Sam Uley

I may get flack for this but the man does try. A lot. He tries to do right by all the people in the pack, tries to do right by Bella, tries to do right by Leah and Emily (even when imprinty shifty nonsense happens), and is forced into making very hard decisions. However he seems to be a very honorable and standup guy just in the worst circumstances.

Emily Young

Emily's another that tries to do right by everyone and is just caught in an awful mess. She tries to do right by Leah, by Sam, then keep her tribe together when these teenage boys keep imprinting on everything.

Leah Clearwater

Leah's full of anger but again always tries to do the right thing and is very levelheaded considering her circumstances. She doesn't want to hate Sam or Emily for what happened to her and actively tries to move on from her own hurt.

Seth Clearwater

Seth seems like a good, earnest, kid. His flaws are actually in his naivite and willingness to see the good in everybody when, yeah, Seth, maybe the Cullens are in fact dangerous and you shouldn't be buddy buddy with them. I've got nothing against Seth.

Quil Atera IV

Quil seems like a decent kid who got stuck imprinting on a toddler and is desperately trying to make the best of it in the only way he can: just being her baby sitter one time a week. Before the imprint he seemed like a decent enough guy.

I'm not going to list off all the pack but most of them seem like decent people trying to do the right thing if a little teenage boy-ish (which can sometimes make them assholes).

Carlisle Cullen

The man has some serious flaws and issues but I think he is a decent person at heart who does strive to live by his principles and do the right thing. (Also, you guys knew this one was coming).

Esme Cullen

Esme's bizarre, but she's a very sweet and caring person who I think is quite genuine in her compassion towards others. She may not be entirely there, but she does mean what she says and genuinely mean well for her family and for others. She just... says things sometimes, or doesn't realize that telling Edward it's okay to eat the girl means Edward would be... eating a teenage girl...

Favorite movie from 01?

Perhaps "favourite" isn't the best word, perhaps the best word is "biggest obsession", but I have to go with Mulholland Drive. David Lynch is a very special case, you're either into him or you ain't, and arguments either way are of little use. I just want to note 2 things, about Lynch in general and Mulholland in particular:

Contrary to all appearances, it actually makes sense. It may be a weird sense, a dream sense (literally a dream, for like half of this movie), but it's not random.

It doesn't need to make sense to you to be enjoyable. It's perfectly cool to treat it like a trip, and just get lost in the highway sauce. You can revisit it later, and think about it and look up what others have made of it, but it's optional.

Now, these 4 are my favourite 2001 films:

Spirited Away needs no introduction, it's widely thought as the best Ghibli film, and I love it to bits.

I'm a complete sucker for Moulin Rouge! and for truth! beauty! freedom! love!, and will accept no criticism at this time.

El espinazo del diablo (The Devil's Backbone) is early Guillermo del Toro, and a sort of prelude to Pan's Labyrinth: it's horror, it's set during the Spanish Civil War, and it takes a stance, along with its own supernatural elements.

And I simply adore Hedwig and the Angry Inch (second musical lol). Does that need an introduction, on 2024 tumblr?

Also of interest:

Monster's Ball is the best from the rest, an incredible drama with Halle Berry's best performance. Very disturbing from start to finish. "Billy Bob Thornton plays a prison guard who begins a relationship with a woman (Halle Berry), unaware that she is the widow of a man (Sean Combs) he assisted in executing."

Ocean's Eleven is the fully on-brand film, it pretty much defined what modern American heist films should be like. No small feat!

Das Experiment: so the Stanford experiment inspired some notoriously bad takes, not least by Zimbardo himself. It also inspired this amazing film. Please don't bother with the pointless American remake. (I owe tumblr a serious post about the Stanford experiment btw, but this is not the place.)

The Brotherhood of the Wolf is surely the wackiest AND darkest action / horror / period / swashbukcling / wuxia / monster film out there. We're in 18th century France, there's the legendary beast of Gévaudan, and cults, and spies, and all of the above.

Il mestiere delle armi (The Profession of Arms) is a shoutout to @wearemercs, it's a realistic war film with landsknechts and condottieri in 16th century Italy, we don't see that every day.

@feyariel I remember that Metropolis was wonderful and I loved it, but not much else about it. Sorry, it's been a while and I have shit for memory!

The Man Who Wasn't There: excellent neo-noir by the Cohens

Gosford Park: a whodunit set at an English country house, and the polar opposite of Downton Abbey (which goes at great lengths to convince us that masters deserve their servants' loyalty), ironically written by the same person

Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain (Amélie): here begin the films that were adored back then, especially by the artsy/festival crowd, but I haven't seen them since and I've no idea how they've aged

You know, I don't think there are any real "twists" in this fic! I do love a twist, as you are probably aware, but in this case it's pretty straightforward. We don't get Henry's POV, so his feelings during this are a little obscure... although probably only to Alex. 😅

All right, so the obvious play here is a scene from Henry's POV since the fic is all in Alex's. HOWEVER. I can't do that, it'd be just too spoilery, especially since the most recent scenes I've written are very late in the fic. So instead you get a POV from someone who's not even an actual character in the fic. 😂

Kyle sees a lot of couples at the Hot Shots basketball game, mostly because a lot of dudes are sure they can win a stuffed animal for their date. And they're often right; whenever he works this game, he gives out a lot more plush bears and dogs than at nearly any other game at Luna Park. Most of the couples are your standard sporty dude with a plastic-looking girl who's more interested in her phone than his shooting—in other words, pretty boring. Because he has nothing better to do than watch them interact, he's gotten good at telling which ones are early in their relationship, which ones are a good match, and which ones look really in love. At first he assumes the two guys that approach the game are there to compete against each other, because that's the usually case. He realizes pretty quickly, though, that these aren't your typical jocks there to have a dick measuring contest. For one, they're both dressed way nicer than anyone dresses at an amusement park. For two, they don't compete; the tall blond one demurs—maybe because he's British, by the accent—as the shorter brunet steps up to play. That's when Kyle realizes that this is a date. It has to be, by the way the blond watches raptly even though Kyle will eat his hat if he gives shit about basketball. It has to be, by the way the brunet, bouncing with nervous energy, keeps on looking over after every shot as if to check if the blond has just watched him make the basket. It has to be, by the way the blond blushes when the brunet hands over his prize. Couples like these, who are so clearly gone on each other, are his favorites. They're adorable, and though he doesn't say anything because that would be fucking creepy, he thinks it. Good luck, you two, he wants to say, I hope I can find someone who looks at me like that one day.

pandora, who really likes xeno. she really really does. he's so sweet and gentle (unlike barty). he is there for her (unlike barty, who just had to get arrested), and he looks at her like she's his entire world (like barty)

but even all that considered, the second she sees barty again, she jumps into his arms and is ready to run off with him. her love for him is raw and real. it's not the mushy cotton candy feeling xeno gives her. it's more raw, bloody and brusied, more real. she loves in the same way she knows he loves her

luna not being xeno's child plays into my luna being the child of an affair hc (in this case bartydora affair)

Holy shit Terry was such an asshole in that fill with John and Betsy. Being a pain in the ass and those nasty snide remarks to poor Betsy. On the other hand, John was a massive asshole too, with those crappy comments about Robby and his annoying dislike of Daniel. Poor sweet Betsy caught in the middle. Wish she had thrown them both out on the street.

I suppose Daniel was kept away not just for a rest, but because the new baby is an omega too, and there’s a special bond there.

I think things had to bubble over some time. John has been doing Terry's dirty work for decades, always there, and Terry keeps him in very, very good money because of it, but I understand his annoyance after decades of Terry's erratic behavior. Especially since that behavior has increased tenfold since he married Daniel. Still, he's a lot richer, and Robby's a good kid, and though Terry doesn't care for John jr. he clearly is under Terry's protection and good thing too because that's John and Betsy's son as much as Tory is their daughter.

And Terry cannot function without his omega and there seems to be no sign of that getting better. He's hugely succesful and runs a mostly very happy crew but Jaysis, can he be an eejit about him.

The main reason that Daniel is in the hospital is that there is no one outside Luna in the world for him right now. He's simply not going to leave a warm, safe space where he is provided for when he can spend time caressing that little face instead. And he's probably more tired than he realises but mostly omega puppies can have that hypnotising effect, especially when the Mama is omega too (though in this world's Nativity story, that is how the Virgin Mary was with baby Jesus and she is beta). It's nothing to be worried about provided you keep them safe and comfortable. Still, Anthony - who has not been confirmed omega at this point - was the opposite. He was a very lively baby, but then he needed to pull his Mama out of a funk.

Don't worry. As soon as Daniel learnt what had happened he invited all the Kreeses over for the finest roast beef the man had ever had, had Terry gift him a box of premium hand rolled cigars and a new handbag for Betsy, plus a sizeable amount of cash for John ("Buy her that mink"), a leather jacket for Johnny and a matching one for Tory (also a seperate one Tory could gift Robby for his birthday, she'd be so proud). Afterwards, Daniel sent John and Terry out to the pub and spent the remainder of the evening with Johnny, Betsy, Tommy and Susan (the latter two having been on guard duty but now invited in to warm up, also, because he wanted to give Tommy te chance to be around Johnny, nudge nudge wink wink).

Terry came home with another few bruises but apparently, those had cleared the air, as it was John who dropped him off.
