I love reading the birthday posts on the official site because of the tonal wiplash. It'll be all funny and wholesome like "awweee Kazi's parents give them a gift basket 🥺🥺🥺 Ava ate Ellis' pie XDDD" and then you'll check the next one and it'll be "Aaravos does not count the passage of time in minutes, nor hours, not even days — he counts candles, one after the other, burning themselves down to the wick and a puddle of hot wax." and like jesus dude what happened to Amaya and her sparring matches

Some of The Dragon Prince ladies that I wish we saw more of.

I think it would be really funny if in Arc 3 in the City of Evrknd we get a Ember Island treatment where at some point the main cast sees a reenactment of their adventures and they can’t help but laugh

Rayla is holding back laughter the entire time, whole body shakes, as her actress keeps doing unnecessary backflips

Callum is being played by an Earthblood Elf making the disguise scene even more ridiculous than it already was

Ezran is being played by a female actress who is definitely voiced by Sasha Rojen, Ezran is fully into this

Soren is played by some scrawny guy which he is very offended by until the guy NAILS all of the daddy issues scenes and they are passing tissues to the big guy

Corvus mumbles something about how he does NOT act like that before making the exact same pose as his actor in the play

Opeli is the best written and most accurate, she is very pleased about this

Everyone excitedly waits for Zym but then this prop is rolled onto stage when he is ‘hatched’

They all awkwardly look away at the Ellis scene where she says “don’t forget about me!”

In 2x07, we can see that Pyrrah has a moment of realisation when she sniffs Zym.

Then, she flies off, and that’s the last we see of her until season three.

But she was at the Storm Spire when she found Ezran.

Because why would a Sun Dragon be at the Storm Spire, the Sky Nexus?

My take:

Pyrrah recognised Zym as the Dragon Prince, probably by a distinct scent Archdragons may have, and flew back to Xadia to tell Zubeia.

She saw her Queen in her comatose state, and just sort of hung around the Storm Spire in hopes that she’d wake up and Pyrrah could tell her the news.

Ibis, who’d canonically been there more than ten days, was already there, and Pyrrah somehow communicated that she’d met a very cheerful—despite the circumstances—Dragon Prince Azymondias who led her to the others.

Ibis gave her the Ventus Spiralis rune because, again, Sun Dragon involving herself with the Sky Arcanum? She wouldn’t do it without reason. How and why would she just know Sky Magic?

Which could also be why Ibis was so chill with humans at the Spire. Because he’d already been pre-alerted of them.

Despite having talked to both Callum and Rayla on the matter, Ezran still wasn’t sure what the proper etiquette of a proposal was — something that was not helped by the fact that he had to do it more than once.

“I still can’t believe you wore that to prom, Ellis,” Aanya said, examining the picture of her partners with a slightly horrified expression, “it’s just so . . .”

“Ugly?” Ellis suggested from where she was sitting on the windowsill, a soft-drink clutched in her hands. Her eyes — brown or black, Ezran and Aanya never could quite agree — sparking with the same little of flashes of life that had first drawn Ezran across a misty park as a child, the same flashes of electricity that had drawn Aanya to the both them from across a college campus.

“I was going to say clashing, Ess.” Aanya replied. She let the picture drop to Ezran’s bedspread, before gently flopping down beside it. Her golden hair gleamed in the late afternoon light.

“I thought she looked beautiful.” Ezran said loyally, trying to refocus on the partially packed box in front of him.

“You always think we look beautiful.” Aanya pointed out.

“Because you do.”

Ellis groaned and rolled her eyes theatrically, “If you don’t stop with all the Prince Charming nonsense, Ez”—she took a long swig of her soda—“I’m going to garrote you with my own tie.”

“You don’t own a tie.” Ezran interjected, trying to fight his smile, you didn’t smile when someone you love was threatening your (joking) death, you might hurt their feelings if you didn’t take it seriously; but he didn’t, he couldn’t. He smiled.

“Neither do you.”

“She can borrow mine.”

“Thanks, Aany!”
