I love that we have two canon trans characters in TDP now!! This show is such a beacon of LGBTQIA+ representation and it makes me so happy ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

One of the things I loved most about Astrid's 'coming out' scene was how it was couched within a loving familial relationship. So often trans characters have to stand alone, aren't integrated into family units in shows (especially blood related), or queer characters will have a strained relationship with a parent and/or a sibling. I myself have had to navigate some of the hiccups of my family orientating themselves around having a nonbinary child / sibling.

The fact that both Kosmo and Astrid validate her identity, that he's so proud and sweet with his sister, and that her fully realized trans ness is such a positive thing it "shines the brightest in the sky" because, according to her brother and the Stars, she's "become who she was always meant to be" is lovely. The fact we likewise get Astrid's feelings on her identity, and again that we get almost two full episodes with her before realizing she's trans, is lovely

I also especially love that this sort of thing is just standard for The Dragon Prince now, because when I heard Astrid's VA was trans, I went in hopeful / honestly expecting Astrid to be trans fem as well. Because well - in a show like this, and with representation like this, why wouldn't she be?

I'm anticipating that I'm gonna be the only person that doesn't give a flying feather about Aaravos and his revenge.

That's not to say I don't feel sympathy for what happened to him and leola, like the council absolutely suck. Who dishes out cosmic justice to a literal child?!?!

But none of that changes the pain he's putting our non-immortal characters through. Like Claudia went through hell this season, so did Ezran, janai and Amaya, and even viren... I don't even like viren.

Sorry but Aaravos still suxks!!!
