aaravos was right actually because if a bunch of weird ass star cops murdered my autistic daughter in front of me and then i was imprisoned in a crater with her bones and filled with my tears by the fuckass dragon who ratted out my daughter I would have totally committed The Atrocities too

Can’t believe not a lot of people are talking about the fact that Aaravos’s prison seems to be modeled after Leola’s and his old home

Listen listen listen,
the celestial council killed Leola because she gave the humans magic (primal magic) and in all their celestialness and future seeing they only saw what would come of it (dark magic/end of the world/no more balance bla bla) but didn’t realise that the act of punishing her would drive Aaravos to look for a way to avenge her (by killing the other star touch elves on the council) and how would he do that?? By inventing a magic that takes power from squishing it out of a creature. And what are startouch elves made of?
I rest my case.

She only had 5 mins of screentime but I would've sided with Aaravos for what they had done to her.

TDP 6×9 spoilers:
The way Aaravos fought tooth and nail for his daughter Leola... whom everyone thought was different, because of her single horn, and because she's autistic - the flappy hands, covering her ears, not speaking much.... I'm sobbing.

soft, but cold
He couldn't bring himself to get rid of her belongings.
Keeping everything clean and tidy hurt, but somehow the maintenance hurt less than pretending he had a spare bedroom. Aaravos had already cried his ocean, but it didn't make the tightness in his chest any less painful.
The primal stones she'd made had been the first things he'd packed up that first day back, taking care to wrap each carefully and set them aside, their uses already swirling in his mind- but he wouldn't think of such things in her room. After that, he'd folded and put away other toys and clothing, leaving everything set for her to come home, which she'd never do.
Now, he just dusted and kept the place clean.
He changed the bedding for something to do, throat aching. Then, he pulled out a toy chest full of stuffed animals, sniffling as he did so.
She'd had a meticulous schedule laid out for which stuffed animals she held at night so no one got left out. He wondered where she'd left off.
Aaravos took a deep breath, wiping away another tear as he set all of the stuffed animals on the bed, going through the motions of tucking them in. Her favorite had always been a unicorn plush, but she'd also insisted to him that she wouldn't tell the other plushies that, and he'd agreed to keep her secret.
Even creatures made of stuffing had her full love.
If only, if only, that had been her only secret.
He stood there for a long time, how long was impossible to say, but eventually he caved. What was missing was warmth, and he was the only one left to provide it. Leaving the bed empty just felt... too sad.
Her bed was long enough for an average adult, but Aaravos's ankles hung off of the edge of it even as he curled up around the armful of plushies, as if he could close his eyes and imagine she was back, but they weren't warm enough or alive for it to work. He clutched them close, as if to make up for the lifetime of love they'd all lost.
Aaravos had already cried his ocean, but that didn't stop him from letting tributaries of tears slide down his cheeks as he waited for the mercy of sleep.

I know a lot of people think that Aaravos did something bad previously to Leola dying and his imprisonment, maybe he invented dark magic or is just an unreliable narrator to the story of Leola. Maybe he took out parts of the story that would make him more at fault. Maybe he didn't lie, just hid the truth. That what happened to cause his eyes to be dark unlike the other Startouch elves is what he's hiding from the story, maybe it's the real reason Leola died.
And, I'm fully aware that's absolutely going to be the canon explanation, but I think a fun idea would be that he's just built like that.
Given Startouch elves can reproduce without sex, and even if they did, it makes sense that a Startouch elf who gave life to another would share similar traits, right? Well, Leola is quirky, she has one horn, she's completely different from the others. Where could she have got that from? The physical differences? The way her mind is different from those around her? Perhaps, she got these from the one who created her.
Aaravos is a Startouch elf who lives among humans, who treats them with kindness and even when he knows his daughter is about to face the consequences of unknowingly disrupting the cosmic order, he doesn't snap at the human child who witnessed her being taken away, instead he comforts the child. I don't think any other Startouch elf is like him. Especially not like Leola.
They were doomed from the start. Startouch elves don't have time for those who view things in an emotional rather than subjective lens, they don't have time for those who grieve over lost family, or who try to fight against the rules in place. They don't have time for mercy. They don't have time for Aaravos or Leola.
This brings me to my question. Why let Aaravos live? Why not get rid of him like they did Leola? Perhaps they can't, or maybe, they knew of the way his story would play out. Whether they knew Leola dying would be the trigger or not, or only realised when it was too late, I think they were fully aware of Aaravos' plan at least some point before his imprisonment.

The whole "who is leola's mother?" thing could be solved simply by changing the question: "who is leola's father?". Because canonically Aaravos is the carrier.
He 'birthed' Sir Sparklepuff you guys. He could've mpreged before.
