Watching Killing Eve right now: does emerald Fennell have an obsession with Murder on the Dancefloor? She mentions it in season 2 and then obviously in Saltburn...
Actually, liked Phoebe Waller-Bridge's writing a bit more. But could also just be the whole storyline in Season two.

Ok, but would this take before or after the original Suicide Squad were created, cause, if Harley and the rest found out about their ghost counterparts, and depending on their age, some of them are likely to adopt them.
Random DP x DC idea/writing prompt:
Amanda Waller takes over the GIW and uses all their research & tech to make a suicide squad style thing with Ghosts. Maybe even managing to get ahold of Danny or Elle at some point in the process

Broseidon/Danny. Attacked them because they hurt Dani, the JL didn't want to do it. But well the GIW tricked them good.
for Zeus/Danny Works for Amanda Waller
Tell me, Amanda, If I were to make you choose The lives of the American and Army or your own Why do I think they'd lose? Enlighten me, The Wall, Since Want for Powers was far too great I wonder who'd take the weight of the damned And suffer a gruesome fate to the
Adorable Dani/Ellie as Athena meeting Hera Tucker/Sam. Yes she had the same song 2 times https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZrNmzbgWKM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0FnoGLxGiM
+ Hera:" Wait! Your Zeus doesn't cheat?" Tucker/Sam:" He is a pervert, but more in a Battle kind of way. Then really sleeping around." Danny doesn't got around, he likes to Fight.
Danny is considered a pervert because he keeps invading people’s spaces to look at their weapons and fighting style XD

Spy X Family, Danny Phantom, and DC Comics
Athanasia al Ghul x Danny
It had been a few years since Danny stopped doing hero work and worked for Amanda Waller. His ghost powers made him a good spy, and his pay is very high. It's plain cheating for him in the black ops.
Danny didn't have much of a problem with Mrs. Waller, as Clockwork would take him out if Amanda Waller tried to betray him.
He was sent with a new mission that would take longer in Gotham: finding a massive drug empire of the upper class. A mix of the drugs used by the villain in Gotham, find the formula, and destroy the empire.
To accomplish this he needed present the image of a happy family, Danny left with his adopted daughter/clone, Dani or Ellie, and over time dated and married a woman named Athanasia.
Unbeknown to Danny, Dani had gained a new power to read minds, and Athanasia is in fact a former assassin of the League of Assassins who left them after they thought she was dead. Ra knows she was alive, but her mother, Talia, and the rest thought she was dead.
Neither Danny nor Athanasia are aware of each other's true identities. As Athanasia worked to be a mother, Danny worked to find the drug empire. And Ellie is having fun at school with her new friends.
Danny and Athanasia had a good time and relationship with each other, and Danny could see a life with her. Even if dating a free-lance psychologist is a funny feeling for her.
Dani was having a good time at Gotham Academy. She befriended new friend and in such way made Danny meet the parent to find out if she befriended them. She got friends in Mia "Maps" Mizoguchi, Olive Silverlock, Jon Kent, and Damian Wayne.
Dani is pretty proud of Bruce Wayne; he is old money. If anyone knew about it or was part of it, this man or someone he knew was part of it.

~*~
Boston QZ March 2024
You were one of the lucky ones.
After the initial outbreak and the chaos that followed, you were protected, ushered into a covered military caravan and housed in relative safety. You were only a resident, but your medical experience made you valuable. Most doctors had been infected in the early hours.
Most of them hadn’t run.
If you had been anyone else, you think you would have been shot. Instead, the military sent you to the quarantine zone in Boston, and you were drafted into FEDRA without ever having signed your name on the line.
Your cowardice in the face of danger was your saving grace, and you will never let yourself forget it.
You’re six years into the pandemic when you’re summoned to the colonel’s office for a special request. FEDRA wants you to travel to a sparsely populated territory outside the QZ and embed yourself there, do threat assessments, and send the intel back to your higher-ups. They frame it as an outreach program for recruitment and a means to get ahead of terrorist threats, but you understand the unspoken implications.
They want you to be a spy.
You protest, but it’s a half-hearted attempt. You know they aren’t offering you a choice.
You train for combat and survival. You learn how to shoot, how to run, how to fight, and how to hide. And then FEDRA packs you up and sends you off into the wilderness of what used to be Pennsylvania, joining a small outpost east of Pittsburgh. There are no terrorist threats to be found, only starving, freezing civilians, hordes of infected, and so much desperation.
You return, six months older and with only a few bruises, so they send you out again. And again. And again.
As it turns out, you make a good soldier. You don’t ask what FEDRA does with the information you find, and they don’t tell you.
On your fourth mission, you come back with more than bruises. The burgh of Everglade, forty miles north of a ruined Jacksonville, Florida, wasn’t as welcoming as you would have hoped. You’d been savagely beaten and sent back to Boston, less weapons and supplies, a walking warning.
Don’t fuck with us, FEDRA.
But there’s a hard seed of grit in you that felt fair was fair, that you deserved whatever punishment you got. You sutured your gashes, reset your broken nose, and took your next assignment.
~*~
By the time Joel Miller and Ellie Williams are staggering across the Jackson threshold for the second time, in the spring of 2024, you’re opening the door of your Boston QZ apartment to a man in weathered FEDRA fatigues.
“Hey,” he says, barely meeting your eyes. “Waller wants to see you.”
“When?”
“0800 hours.”
“Fine,” you say. He doesn’t respond, lingering in the doorway until you’re forced to ask, “Anything else?”
He ducks his head. “Got any plans tonight?”
“I do if you have the money.”
Unsurprisingly, FEDRA doesn’t pay well–doctor, spy, or shit-shoveler. But you’ve found other ways to get by.
The man– a boy, really , you think–reaches into his pocket and pulls out a crumpled stack of ration cards. You take your time counting them before pocketing the payment and stepping aside to let him enter.
His hands are on you before you can finish closing the door, greedy and wanting. You let him push you up against the wall, tipping your head to give him access to your neck, already tuning out his gasps and moans and clumsy thrusts.
~*~
Afterward, he’s panting on your mattress, and you’re fumbling on the nightstand for a lighter.
“You know those things’ll kill you,” he mumbles.
“Fascinating,” you respond dryly, finding the lighter and putting the cigarette to your lips. You allow yourself one long, slow inhale. You hold the smoky air in your lungs as long as you can, savoring that first and only hit, before tamping the cigarette out and rolling it up in a piece of foil for later. “You can go.”
You feel his hand slide over your ass and you flinch away, standing and gathering your clothes from the floor.
“C’mon, baby. I gave you extra.”
“Yeah, and you shorted me five last time. Go.”
He growls. “Fuckin’ bitch.”
You ignore this, slipping a clean-enough tank top over your head, pulling on your jeans, and heading for the kitchen. You’re putting a kettle of water on the hot plate when you hear the metallic snick of a blade behind you.
You’ve gotta be fucking kidding me.
You tense, listening, waiting, until you feel the hint of a blade at the side of your throat.
“How about you suck me off next time and we’ll call it even,” he whispers, breath hot in your ear.
You dive to one side, wrapping the man’s arm with your own, knocking the knife away. It skitters across the floor, lost under the radiator. Your left hand grips the man’s wrist and pulls it back as you slam your right hand into his shoulder, forcing him down against the counter. You twist his arm until you imagine you can hear the tendons creaking.
The man screams in pain and surprise. “Whoa no shit I’m sorry I’m sorry I’m fucking sorry don’t–”
You slam your full body weight against him and twist his arm back and up with a sharp snap , his wrist giving under your practiced hands. Another scream, this one feral, as you release the man’s arm.
“You broke my fucking wrist you fucking cunt!”
“Fuck off or I’ll break the other one,” you pant, shoving him toward the door.
“You’ll fucking hang for this!”
“Yeah?” you spit. “You say one word and I’ll make sure your dick never touches another girl in this QZ because it’ll be sitting in a jar on my fucking desk.”
He sneers, but there’s no threat in it. He slouches backward with an angry sob, cradling his broken hand and fumbling with the door, all the while trying to keep his eyes trained on you.
You lock the door behind him and slide the deadbolt home with unnecessary force.
Fuck.
~*~
Colonel Waller doesn’t look up at you when you enter his office, his greeting just a single word.
“Wyoming.”
You frown. You’ve never been west of Ohio.
“We lost an asset in Utah. Fireflies.”
“Shit.”
“Yeah. ‘Shit’ is about the shape of it,” he sighs, finally looking up from his paperwork. “We had someone in KC but they’ve gone radio silent. We assume the worst.”
“So…I take it the target’s in Wyoming?”
He nods. “We suspect several Fireflies are holed up in a town called Jackson. It’s big,” he continues, sliding you a sheaf of folded maps across the desk. “Our scouts…haven’t made out so well.”
“How many came back?”
He looks at you blankly.
None.
“We need to know how many warm bodies, how much firepower, do they have patrols and when, are they collaborating with anyone else in the area. We need–”
“I got it,” you say, pocketing the map, an aching exhaustion deep in your gut. “When?”
“There’s a supply run headed west tomorrow. You’ll camp with them until KC, then make your way in on foot. We expect radio contact every six weeks; if we don’t hear anything by then–”
“You’ll assume I’m dead,” you finish.
He interlocks his fingers. “Any questions?”
You shake your head.
He nods and goes back to his work. “Dismissed.”

'...23. Sherlock – Series 2, “The Reichenbach Fall” (2012)
The triumphant conclusion (which, as it turned out, wasn’t really a conclusion) to Steven Moffat’s initial Sherlock run was a tour de force in TV suspense, pitting Benedict Cumberbatch’s eponymous super-detective against his greatest frenemy, genius villain Moriarty (Andrew Scott). All anyone could talk about for the next two years — until the third season finally arrived in 2014 — was that devilish cliffhanger when, right at the end of “The Reichenbach Fall”, Sherlock and Moriarty meet for the final time atop St. Bartholomew’s Hospital.
Moriarty offers his nemesis-slash-wannabe-boyfriend a choice: dive from the roof to his death, or allow his closest friends and loved ones – among them, Una Stubbs’ Mrs Hudson, Rupert Graves’ Lestrade and Martin Freeman’s Dr Watson — to be murdered instead. He then pulled his cruellest trick of all, putting a bullet into the roof of his mouth, forcing Sherlock’s hand. The result, Sherlock apparently falling to his death, fuelled rampant fan speculation for months. Until he turned up spick and span in the next season, that is...
20. Broadchurch – Series 1, “Episode 8” (2013)
Murder mysteries are a game of cat and mouse for both the characters on screen and the audience at home, as both try to beat each other to nail down the killer. Bad ones make it too easy, good ones pull the wool over our eyes and great ones change the rules entirely. After seven hours of Broadchurch hunting down the possible killer of 11-year-old Danny Latimer, we knew we’d leave hour eight with an answer, expecting a final-minute reveal born from some intense action sequence that would mask the tragedy in adrenaline.
Instead, halfway through the episode, the killer, Joe, our lead detective Ellie Miller’s (Olivia Colman) husband, gives himself up, sick of being consumed by guilt and shame. It knocked the classic whodunnit structure on its head, changing the focus from the murderer to the fallout of his crimes. There’s Danny’s parents’ grief, which is finally felt in all its horrendous weight now that there are no longer question marks over the case, the town’s reckoning with the aftershock of such a harrowing crime, and Ellie’s life imploding before her eyes. Even though many viewers had worked out that Joe was the murderer, the real shock came from the horror of what it meant to be right...
16. Fleabag – Series 2, “Episode 4” (2019)
Throughout its two seasons, Fleabag became a beacon of rare relatability. It was a show about a woman actively not trying her best, self-sabotaging to bury emotion and hoping that none of it ever found its way to the surface. In its fourth episode of season two, it finally did. The episode is a bait and switch of sorts, as Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s titular Fleabag takes rejection from her hot priest crush (Andrew Scott) as a challenge, aiming to get him to relent on his spiritual allegiances and give into some good, old-fashioned carnal sin. For so long, it seems as if it’s not working, despite the pair dancing around the kind of sexual tension that feels like lightning in a bottle. But then she finds herself alone with him in the church late at night. He has had a few drinks. What starts as Fleabag in control ends with her walls breaking, the vulnerability she feels with the first person she’s connected with since the death of her best friend Boo corroding the armour that’s kept her feelings of guilt and shame and sadness locked away. He commands her to “kneel” and, well… you know the rest...
11. Fleabag – Series 2, “Episode 6” (2019)
Bringing back Fleabag didn’t seem like a good idea. Its beautifully constructed first season felt like the classic case of a one-and-done, particularly because of its gut-punch ending (the reveal that Fleabag had slept with her best friend Boo’s boyfriend shortly before she had died by suicide). And we’ve seen worse shows tarnish their legacies with ill-thought-out second runs. But, as evidenced by its dominance on this list, Fleabag series two went on to eclipse that first outing by every metric. This finale is a devastating conclusion to Waller-Bridge’s tragic romcom, with Andrew Scott’s sexy priest ultimately choosing God over love. Before that, we get to enjoy her father’s wedding to her ridiculous stepmother (Olivia Colman), her sister Claire (Sian Clifford) finding love with her Finnish namesake and a deeply moving and funny sermon from the hot priest (“Love is awful. It’s awful”). And, boy, that ending. The grim, bus-stop bench, the CGI fox, the priest’s devastating reply to her “I fucking love you”: “It’ll pass.” I defy you to see a fox at night on the streets of London and not think of it. But somewhere in here there’s a glimmer of hope, a sense that we’re leaving Fleabag better off than we found her...
9. Doctor Who – Series 3, “Blink” (2007)
Every episode of Doctor Who leans on existential wonder, conjuring concepts of the far reaches of time and space as the Time Lord navigates existence. “Blink” is a fascinating non-linear episode that introduces arguably the most terrifying monster yet – The Weeping Angels, lightning-fast creatures that can send someone through time with a single touch.
The perspective is switched from the usual Doctor and companion to place you in the shoes of Sally Sparrow, a normal girl roped into the world of the Doctor. She is tasked with deciphering the Doctor’s cryptic messages as he warns of the Weeping Angels. However, they turn into stone statues if they are laid eyes upon by a living creature – hence the iconic phrase “Don’t Blink”.
This anxiety-inducing episode prompts you to think at every moment what would I do? Every little action could prove to have deadly and unchangeable consequences. The prospect of being whisked away into another time is an unbearable thought. It is one of the best episodes of the show as it exemplifies everything wonderful about Doctor Who; evoking horror, mystifying time and space, as well as drawing upon emotion as the results of these life-changing stakes steadily come to fruition...
3. Fleabag – Series 2, “Episode 1” (2019)
“This is a love story,” says Fleabag (Phoebe Waller-Bridge) from the floor of a restaurant bathroom, dabbing at her bloody nose. So begins the opening episode of Fleabag’s triumphant second season, which turns a family dinner into a tense negotiation, punctuated with cigarette breaks for gasps of air and set to the operatic thrum of classical music.
Arguably the great achievement of the episode is managing a seamless recap of the previous season, reintroducing all of the faultlines within the family while adding a new face to the table in the Priest (Andrew Scott). The tension ratchets up as an annoying waitress hovers in the wings, Fleabag resists the temptation to bite over and over again, and her sister Claire (Sian Clifford) looks as though a vein in her temple might blow like a pipeline from the effort of holding her emotions in. Andrew Scott’s performance throughout the season is astonishing, but the charm he brings to his introduction is irresistible. Among a table of family members who don’t get her, here, finally, is an equal to tempt Fleabag into opening her heart fully. You can see it in her face as she shrugs him off during one of those cigarette breaks, and he says, in that sing-song voice: “Well, fuck you then.”...'

~*~
Somewhere in Wyoming
October 2024
The sound of gunshots bleeds into breaking glass.
You feel a sharp tug on your leg, fresh air streaming through the door, and you know they’ve found you. You kick back hard, fighting against the monster, fighting against–
Joanna. Kicking her away, running, running.
But you can’t run and there’s nowhere left to go. You scream and kick at the source that pulls on you, waiting for the teeth in your flesh, the bite that signals your turn.
The grip clamps around your bad ankle, one of the monsters has come to claim you for its own, and your consciousness drowns in a fiery white blaze of pain.
~*~
You taste sawdust and dirt, a cold metal floor pressed to your aching cheek, the angry throb in your ankle. You wait to feel the hunger, the insatiable need to consume, to grow, to become …
The rumbling underneath you jostles your ankle and you groan, rolling onto your side, feeling the bile in your throat before you realize you’re vomiting. You don’t have enough strength to push yourself away from the puddle of acrid yellow filth so you lay there, letting it soak into your hair, your cheek. Your arms are gone, replaced by dead weight, and you don’t realize until much later that they’ve been tied behind you.
You sob softly, wondering if this is what it’s like now. You hadn’t considered that the infected could be conscious, self-aware, minds trapped in bodies that have lost control. The thought frightens you more than anything ever has before, the idea that you could be awake for every awful thing you’ll be compelled to do. To ravage, to flay, to take, take, take .
But you are so, so tired, and the rumble beneath you is strangely soothing. You let it draw you back into unconsciousness.
~*~
“Get up.”
The voice is harsh. A solid object drives itself into your stomach and you wake, retching, gasping for breath.
“Get up.”
You’re pulled again, and you swear you can feel every bone in your ankle grinding together. Something comes up under you, lifting you without grace or care, dragging you out of the darkness into light that’s too bright.
No please just let me go let me go back under no–
You’re only faintly aware of being manhandled into a building, down a hall, into a tiny room–only aware because every time your ankle bumps against the ground or a wall or a limb, the sheer agony brings you back to life in the most brutal way.
You’re dropped unceremoniously on a hard cot and there’s the clang of metal as a gate closes behind you. You can barely focus your eyes, can barely breathe because of the pain, the constant pain, and you have to remember how to inflate your lungs. You roll over onto your side and pull your knees to your chest.
Why is it taking so long?
~*~
At some point, you come to understand you haven’t been infected, only captured, and the knowledge brings a bittersweet sense of relief. You’ll rot away until they decide to torture or kill you. Either way, you’ll get what you deserve.
The guards wear FEDRA fatigues. They don’t speak, only shove bits of bread and bowls of water into the narrow slot in the cell, most of which you ignore until thirst drives you off the cot, crawling pitifully, painfully across the stained cement.
On one of these days, these painful, nothing-days, Colonel Waller appears at the bars of your cell. You barely recognize the man without his desk.
“What are the chances?” he muses, watching you recognize him. “We thought we’d lost you.”
The man takes a seat in a folding chair in front of the bars of your cell and leans forward, considering you for a long time. You stare at him blankly, barely able to comprehend his presence, let alone what it means.
“I wasn’t convinced when they told me it was you, but…here you are. You’re lucky we found you when we did. You were as good as clicker food.”
He smiles at this, a thin, red slash across his puffy white face. You don’t have the energy to do more than wait for whatever is to come. He seems to sense this, because he gets straight to the point, to the tender heart of you.
“Jackson is gone,” he says, almost soft, almost gentle.
No. No, nonono…
“Of course, your little stunt gave them a bit of a head start…but we’ll handle it. Since we lost Kansas City…seems like a fair trade, don’t you think?”
“Why?” you choke out, not recognizing your own voice. You haven’t spoken in so long, your vocal cords fray with the effort.
“We can’t have a United States with warring factions. This country can be one again, but it takes power. Direction. Someone to make the hard decisions.
“And the beauty of it is we didn’t even have to kill people. Control the infected, control the population. Just…point them in the right direction and let the infected do the rest. It’s safer out here than it's ever been…and it’s all thanks to your work.”
The sound that tears itself from your throat is so alien, so distant to your ears that you don’t recognize it as your own wail until you feel the bile rising alongside it.
“You really didn’t know,” he says finally, faint awe registering on his stern, lined face. “Maybe you’re not the cold bitch everyone said you were.”
“You can’t–” you croak, lurching off the cot, trying to stand, but your good leg won’t hold you and you fall to your knees, keening softly.
“Oh, it’s a bit too late for that. Now…about the girl.”
Your head snaps up.
“We knew what Marlene was up to with her,” he says easily. “But then we lost our mole in Salt Lake City–that was a bloodbath, let me tell you. That smuggler didn’t waste a single bullet, and the girl was gone.
“Then you come along and she’s right there in Jackson, safe as houses. Again, I ask myself…what are the chances?
“Of course, then you dropped off the radar, too,” he frowns. “But we had everything we needed. And we’ll make sure the girl gets out alive. She could be useful, that one. The Fireflies think they’re hot shit, but… we have doctors, too.”
The cold certainty in his voice sends a wave of terrible nausea through you as he finally stands, staring down at you with bland apathy.
“Didn’t you used to be a doctor?”
You’re heaving now, barely aware of his footsteps retreating, of the bars of the cage closing in on you, until you’re nothing but a raw, wrought-out shell.
~*~
They’ve taken everything you might have used to do it: Your knife, your boot laces, even the sheets. You consider fashioning a noose out of your pants or your jacket, but you can’t stand up enough to tie it off to the bars of your cell, and so you’re left here to wither. Eventually, you know starvation will take you, but it will be a long, slow suicide.
You’ve lost all sense of time. The tiny window at the top of your cell sometimes glows white with daylight, then yellow with a sickly halogen aura. From your cot, you’re left with a slivered view of the starless, navy-black sky.
Jackson is gone.
It’s a gunshot to the gut every time the colonel’s words float into your consciousness. The unintentional home you’d built has been wiped, cleaned, sanitized into FEDRA territory. And you’re forced to lay here on this dirty floor and play the scenarios in your mind until you’re mad with sorrow and fear.
But your body stubbornly refuses to die.
