couldn't resist using his poses from the end of the vampires trailer. i actually really dig vaguely steampunk dillon - he's halfway between a mad scientist and the wizard of oz, and i'm into it. maybe he'll branch out a bit after malpractice.

i swear elle isn't clipping through that tombstone - her pinky is curled in and that dress just makes her ass look oddly angular.

Noble Vampires: Elle DeVampiro, Inna Cents, Vlad Bloodvein

(These are all clearly corny vampiric pseudonyms, aren't they?)

As you can see, I strayed pretty far from their original designs, especially with Elle and Vlad! As they fit into the context of my story, I see them as among the oldest and most elite vampires in Forgotten Hollow. They're all nobles from different eras and so were used to being waited on hand and foot, which didn't change when they became vampires. They've always been surrounded by a coterie of human thralls and lesser vampires who fulfill their every need so they never have to lift a finger.

But there are certain consequences to this eternal life of luxury. As vampires grow older, their powers can grow more potent - but the opposite is also true. If they allow their mental and physical capabilities to languish, they stagnate and eventually atrophy, leading to visible deterioration. These three are extremely delusional and out of touch with reality. They live in their own little fantasies, fully believing they look every bit as flawless and regal as they ever did even as the cracks are very much starting to show. Although their age and status intimidate younger vampires and they have their little "hazing rituals" for newborns, they're ultimately quite harmless.

simblreen 2024 gift #1 // portraits of the devampiros

Elle would like to know why they own so many picture frames but only six photographs. He doesn't really know what to tell her.

There isn't enough vampire wall art, so I've created 6 Century Conflict-era photographs of minor characters to add a classy touch of history to your lair! Film-based cameras were invented during this era, after all.

Elle and Dillon are the characters from the trailers who demonstrate that vampires can get it on as bats and in coffins. He uses the same model as Dillin Derito from the Malpractice trailer and they may or may not be the same person (if so, that is extremely hilarious). I've fallen way down the rabbit hole developing this family - you can find those posts about them here.

Recent scholarship has established that this painting of a Windenburg noblewoman is almost certainly the marriage portrait of Countess Elleanor DeVampiro. Studies of account books and family diaries from this period show that the clothes and gems depicted here correspond precisely to the items typical of a high-born bride’s trousseau.
