Might make a little fic about a tiny Tommy Buck finds in a flower his sister gets him for Christmas as a housewarming plant for his apartment after a recent breakup.

At first, Buck freaks out.

He even gets his best friend Eddie to check out what's happening to make sure Buck's not losing his mind.

But yes.

There is a tiny person in his home.

And the longer Tommy's around? the longer he's with Buck?

Well.

He grows.

Grows into the home; grows into belonging; maybe grows too tall - why did he have to be Buck's height? And soon Buck can't imagine living without Tommy.

But.

Tommy's people are the sort to go where the wind takes them. They reincarnate with their flowers.

Hundreds of years, Tommy's been doing that.

Wandering.

Alone.

Hopping from flower to flower in a cycle of life and death.

Well.

He usually would continue such a cycle.

Unless.

There's a reason to stay.

And maybe when Buck realizes he could fight for it. And when he knows he can; when he knows that Tommy could stay if he felt like this could be his home? A place to stay for the rest of a finite life?

Buck does. He fights to keep Tommy around. To not let him wither with the life cycle of a flower.

To keep him.

And.

Maybe Tommy stays.

Because Tommy's never had a home before. Not a real home. And he wants one. God, he wants one. And maybe if he can take that leap of faith, that home can be with Evan.

The way that Tommy has seen Buck at his worst - at least emotionally - and STILL chose to kiss him, to ask him out, to give him a second chance, to go to madney's wedding as his date.... the way he still chose to stay....

Something about "Isn't that what love is? When you're at your worst, they're at their worst, but you still choose to stay?"

(So we're going to get Tommy at his worst and Buck choosing to stay soon too right? Right?)

WIP Wednesday!!

Thought I'd start off the day 🥰. So... I have another new WIP. It's a little different than my usual, but I'm loving it. It has all my attention. So have some of that 😁:

He's made his decision. It'll be fine. It's what he told Buck as he was climbing into his truck. He wanted to reach out and hug Buck, or let his hand find that place on Buck's shoulder where his thumb fits perfectly, but he couldn't. If he had even dared, he wouldn't have left. He knows he wouldn't have. And- Anyway, the dog! The dog that is sitting on his couch, staring up at him with the biggest blue eyes he's ever seen, and a profound sadness Eddie feels down to his bones. It's fur is deep golden, a little red when the light hits it. Eddie's never seen a golden retriever with blue eyes. He has to admit, the dog is adorable. Buck would immediately love it. He'd flop down on the couch right beside it, coo and smile and give it endless love. Eddie shakes his head, resolutely does not think about Buck, even though there's a splotch of lighter fur above the dog's left eye that makes it look even more Buck-like. "How did you even get in here?" Eddie asks. The dog's ears perk up and it looks towards the wide open door before looking back at Eddie as if to say really? "Yeah, okay, dumb question," Eddie chuckles. "Get down, go home. I'm sure you're missed." The dog lays down on the couch, it's ears down, the sad soulful eyes right back. "I know it's a comfy couch, but it's my couch," Eddie reasons, like he's having a debate with the animal. The dog's tail wags, but the sad expression doesn't falter. "You're bound to have a home, and it isn't here," Eddie says. The dog sits up and barks, a sharp sound that echoes in the empty house. He honest to God glares at Eddie, like Eddie has insulted him.

honestly i pitty people who take their specific sexuality so seriously they struggle valuing relationships. specifically gay men that won’t date bi men because ew women, and lesbians that won’t date bi women because ew men.

all that should matter in a relationship is trust. if you can’t trust a person not to cheat on you, because they’ve either actually done it or shown strong signs they might, that’s one thing. but automatically assuming your partner is gonna cheat on you with someone of the opposite gender because their bisexual is pathetic. it’s sad. incel behavior. real only child im so special mommy look at me give me everything i want cause im the specialist in the world energy. get over yourself and grow up.

My season 5 mindset just came back to bite me in the ass be why did I so quickly and VIOLENTLY shift all of my love and enthusiasm onto to Eddie Diaz after watching Buck cheat with Lucy, and today I had to watch Eddie do the same with a clone of his dead wife??? 2022 me consoled myself by saying that Eddie would never do this, he's impulsive but not self-destructive about relationships in that way (he prefers to prioritize himself DEAD LAST), but I just had to watch exactly what I thought would never happen on my screen. There's very little that could rip my love for Eddie Diaz away from me, especially after his season 5 therapy arc, but Tim is TESTING me with this arc
