Wildest thing to me about the online safety act is that parental controls already exist on every device. Like my mp3 player has a parental controls option. may be a hot take but i think the fact minors can access 18+ content by just clicking a button that says 'yes im totally over 18 trust me' is like. totally fine tbh. its a non-issue. i dont care if curious teenagers are looking at porn. they've been doing that for as long as porn has existed. id rather teens explore their sexuality through images on the internet than rush into real life experiences when they're not ready for it yknow. the UK is trying to put stricter age verification in place (which in turn is becoming an online privacy nightmare) and like. for what. who is it helping. why is this a problem.

Don’t see anyone on here talking about it yet, but if you’re in Canada: that aggravating age verification bill that got pushed through in the UK? Well, we have a similar one that failed in Parliament a few months ago, but now it’s being pushed forward again.

We’re seeing how that stupid bill is being implemented in the UK, so if we don’t want this bill sneaking it’s way in, we gotta start talking up too.

I dont have any other social media, so no, i didn't see it, but im not surprised. RG is fully embracing it. And the trouble with radicalisation, the more pushback he gets for these views, the harder he's going to double down on them.
