blah blah blah moshang/bingqiu fic that seems like your stereotypical bodyguard/noble fic but no one realizes shang qinghua is the noble and shen yuan is actually just the third son of a mildly prestigious family who became a knight.

shang qinghua is arranged to be married to mobei-jun and luo binghe, mbj's assistant, is the one whoe escorts him and his knight sy to the castle. the journey is pretty long so they end up talking to each other and luo binghe somehow comes to the conclusion that shen yuan is the prince.

shang qinghua doesnt bother to correct him and he orders cucumber-bro not to. to him it makes sense because hes not really princely. plus he can admit shen yuan is extremely unintentionally seductive and lbh is clearly already smitten anyway. plus its super fucking funny to see cucumber-bro completely oblivious to lbh's desperate pining.

(luo binghe's inner monologue: i can't,,,he's my lord's betrothed,,,but he's so kind,,,so lovely,,,i must Resist my base urges,,,)

anyway they finally make it to the palace and lbh is crushed that shen yuan doesnt seem sad at all (is he just fine with marrying a complete stranger? even his bodyguard is sadder than he is!)

before the "official meeting" shang qinghua literally runs into mobei-jun. b/c he's gotten into the bodyguard role he immediately prostates himself and apologizes. cue shock from lbh when mobei-jun falls over himself (well, reaches down 1% quicker than usual) to help his fiance up.

lbh: is my lord smitten with...the ugly rat man? ths servant? when yuan-ge is right there???

(yes they've dropped honorifics, they dropped honorifics like 1 day into the journey bc shen yuan doesnt know what boundaries are)

mobei-jun for his part is completely perplexed. shang qinghua is obviously his future empress, who else would it be?

lbh ofc doesnt care about the whole trickery thing once he realizes he can court shizun to his hearts desire.

bonus cumplane double wedding. everyone thinks mobing were the ones who arranged it because cumplane get into a violent fight during the feast. actually luo binghe cried for 10 straight hours at his shizun's feet trying to convince him to change his mind.

We have (with little to no comedic exaggeration):#1) WWX whistling and somehow summoning not one but several horses to his side.#2) meeting the surviving Wen sect members who insist on not leaving Wen Ning behind.#Only for it to cut back to Wen Ning ripping a guy in half. (Not pictured here. I tried so hard but I could not make it look good).#Personally I feel like we moved on way too fast from the horse thing. Where did they come from? WWX couldn't have brought them.#He *just* found out there were more people left behind.#So...are the from the Jing sect? Are these disloyal horses? Or does WWX have incredible animal charisma skills?#It feels a bit like a DND player asked to call in some horses and the DM said 'Sure if you roll well enough' and it was a natural 20.#Maybe this is just my own envy cutting through. God damn I wish I could whistle and summon a horse to my side whenever I needed to.#I know I should not be so hung up on the horses. But my brain is cooked. I have been so sick.#The kind of sickness that makes it hard to breathe. Or think. Or have any energy at all.#I wish I had good commentary to write here. I just...really want a nap. #twisted wonderland #twisted wonderland spoilers #twisted wonderland episode 7 spoilers #twisted wonderland book 7 spoilers #twisted wonderland episode 7 part 11 spoilers #twisted wonderland book 7 part 11 spoilers #unfortunately leona's ultimate happy dream did involve his entire family dying tragically. them's the breaks.#(for the record he is a little messed up about this) (he is a little messed up about a lot of stuff)#the context of cheka is that they were going to try to shock leona awake by having him show up #however while styx could provide them with a 3d model based on a bodyscan (which they had for...reasons??) they had no data on his behavior #so he was basically just a little frozen mannequin #(the sprite was not t-posing but in my heart this was happening)#ruggie could kind of pilot him with his magic but it only lasts for a few seconds so he had to keep recasting it with noticeable choppiness #so while we don't get the entire effect due to the limitations of the format #this means that leona was in the middle of let-them-eat-cake'ing a revolution when suddenly #his late nephew bursts jerkily in through the door yelling OJITAN I'M ALIVE AND MY VOICE CHANGED OFFSCREEN #honestly they spent more time thinking of how to explain ruggie's terrible impression of cheka than anything else #how could leona have seen through this brilliant plan so quickly 🤔#man i really did love his horrible dream though #i like him as a character but i wasn't expecting his dream to be the one that got to me like that #love how all the savana dreams were like #jack: what if leona was really cool and my friend :)#ruggie: what if my dad came back and leona created a socialist utopia for me :)#leona: what if i finally got the chance to prove myself except i screwed everything up and everyone hated me and my family was dead #his conversation with kifaji at the end 😭#kifaji in his dream in GENERAL acting as a counterpoint to his phantom like. like!!!!
