Tegenwoordig…

taylorswift: Those 3 Gelsenkirchen crowds were AMAZING, and so thoughtful??? There were signs and paper hearts, the 'betty' wave, and tons of DIY "willow" orbs made out of balloons + phone flashlights. Thank you!!! 🫶🫶🫶 l also wanted to say to everyone who's supported The Tortured Poets Department, I am completely blown away by what you've done - it stayed at #1 for the first 12 weeks of its release and that's never happened to an album of mine before, not even close!! You're just the greatest. Anyway, now that we've officially kicked off our shows in Germany, I can't wait to see you all in Hamburg next!

But I am working on sharing my notes soon so that will be exciting! Liking and sharing does a lot 🥰

They will never outlaw tech and candles babe, basic fire, basic tech, perhaps even getting into the craft of it all. Make candles. “Borrow” PDFs off the internet. Hot wire your tamagotchis, don’t stop reading, don’t stop researching, and keep fanning the flames of curiosity. No one can tame divine creativity and curiosity. So with in the esoteric era of technology I suggest we use it to our upmost advantage. Be that weird witch in the woods, a witch in the woods which may exist within the mirage of a computer screen. Be crafty keep what you do alive. Document, journal, learn mundane and esoterica and bridge them.
Lanthanide series 57-71
Retreat to what nature you can find. Go on walks, pick up litter when you can, thrift, take care of the earth and those around you so we can do our best to protect the natural resources we have. Read up on the local wild life and with your knowledge of science and the mundane assign correspondence and test your theories. Participate in farmers markets practice sustainability. Practice DIY, do not contribute to the mindless consumerism aspect which follows magical communities like a fugly ass shadow. Real magic doesn’t need a carbon foot print or any real money spent. Just time and effort.

Be soft with yourself. Retreat into your goblin cave and practice shadow work and mindfulness. Just because the world is tough doesn’t mean you should fundamentally change your softer nature. Being soft in a hardened world is COOL and PUNK and you can do EVERYTHING the more harden souls can also do but in your own step and time. Embrace the softer more emotional aspects of yourself. Do some bath or shower meditations. Do some high workings. Sleep, its the freest vacation we can get at this point. Be open to vulnerability and emotional changes

Die Krupps - To Hell with Poverty ( Featuring Big Paul Ferguson )
And, surprisingly close to the original but more German. Just ran across this one.
In this land right now
Some are insane, and they're in charge
A nice little sing-along for everyone this evening.
That's it, that's the lyrics! 7+ minutes of "Fuck Neoliberal Policy": Swedish Edition, essentially.
It does also make a pretty good summary title for that whole album.
[Autotranslated link, btw.]
Similar vibe harking back to the Thatcher era, which I sorta doubt is a complete accident:

DIY Twinkle Toes-style shoes

If you’re a 2000s kid, you might remember twinkle toes. They were very popular in my gradeschool, and I owned a pair when I was around 8, which happens to be around the age that I regress to. Unfortunately, they do not make these in adult sizes, but I still wanted a pair, so I decided to make my own.
Disclaimer: while this is an age regression and dreaming blog, it’s best if you make these while in a big headspace, because of the delicate details and materials required for the project.
With that out of the way, let’s get into the tutorial:
To make these you will need:
One pair of basic canvas sneakers with the laces removed
Glitter shoelaces
6mm rhinestones
Nail glue
Masking tape and sticker paper
Scissors
Pencil
Paint brushes
Fabric paint
Tweezers (not pictured)

The first step is to tape off the area around the rivets where the laces go like this:

This ensures that you will get a clean line. Now, if you are using dark shoes like me, you’ll want to paint this area white so that the color you choose to color it with shows up brighter.

If you’re using light shoes, you can skip this step.
Now, choose whichever color you like, and paint over the area with it. If you want the fabric paint to dry faster, you can use a hairdryer.
When you’re done, it should look something like this.

Now, you can create designs on the rest of the shoe. I like clovers, so I decided on a clover motif.
Draw the design you want on the sticker paper like so:

And then cut it out from the inside. this will be your stencil. Paste the stencil wherever you want on the shoe, and then paint inside of it like you painted around the rivets earlier. You can also write words on the shoes.

Now for the part you all have been waiting for: the rhinestones. Using tweesers, take eache rhinestone and dip it in nail glue. Then place the rhinestone onto the white part of the sneakers like this:

When you’re done, they should look like this:

Now,once the glue is dried, you can lace them up with the glitter laces! I put beads on mine.

Ta-daaaa!!!! You’re done! I hope this tutorial can find the people who wanted a pair but never got one, or just would like to wear them again!

What does everyone think of Sprinkles? (No rush on this)
Oren: “Oh, she’s pretty neat, bro.”
Raddy: “Ehhh. I don’t have much to say ‘bout her. As long as she keeps off my backyard.”
Clukr: “Saves’ adoptive granddaughter, yes? She’s a decently good child, I suppose.”
Fun Bot: “I like teaching her my moves, it makes me happy when she copies some of them! Though, I might have to slow down a little on some of them…”
Vineria: “She’s real adorable.”
Gray: “She called me a big brother once. I’m still happy about it.”
Brud: “Cupcake!! Me want eat! But said not can eat…”
Garnold: “I’ve heard she’s a good kid.”
OWAKCX: “…” (doesn’t know who Sprinkles is)
Sky: “I feel like a real grown-up around her. We’re both Sprunklings, but she’s the littlest. Heheh!”
Mr. Sun: “Our little Sprunkling of Sugar! She’s sweet on the outside and inside!”
Durple: “Oh, she’s quite a dear little one! She doesn’t quite understand some of the eloquent terms I spout, yet I know she’s trying her best to follow. Oh, and guess who made her birthday dress? Me, of course~! Who else would be fashionably keen enough to turn sequins into sprinkles? Hohoho~!”
Mr. Tree: “She knows how to enjoy her youth while she can. It’s an adorable trait.”
Simon: “She’s so fun!! I like playing along with her, it takes me back to my Sprunkling years every time! Though, to be fair, my inner Sprunkling is always active and alive!”
Tunner: “Heh, she’s a sweet lil’ plum. I remember when she made me this DIY badge, it was too adorable and kind ta’ pass on. Where is it, ya ask? Look under ma’ vest; I kept it close to m’ heart.”
Mr. Fun Computer: “She doesn’t get to visit me too often since Father Clukr is very particular about children being inside the laboratory. But when she does, it’s always fun! She loves playing my video games! She even partakes in my gameshows sometimes! Of course, with Saves’ consent.”
Wenda: “Oh my gosh, she’s like, the little sister I never had. Not to brag, buuuuuut I like spoiling her with outfits and stuff, and like, I sometimes take her out to eat at midnight. She’s lovely, very lovely. If anyone hurt her then I’d definitely start fighting them too, cause like, who would ever?!”
Pinki: “Sprinkles is adorable! In fact, she inspired one of my cupcake flavors! I call it Plumkles!...the name wasn’t exactly thought on too deeply, hehe. It has sweet plum filling inside and icing that looks like the one on Sprinkles’ head! Heeheehee~!”
Jevin: “Dear little cupcake, soft and rotund. Living her life so sweet and so fun. If only nothing could shatter that light, the light that shines in her eyes so vibrantly bright. Little Sprinkles, do cherish your friends. Cherish them until the very end.”
Black: “She’s…her demeanor’s familiar to me…uh, anyway. She’s a good kid.”
Saves: “Oh, my little Sparkles…she always knows how to cheer me up…”
Ciqu: (Canonically unavailable due to arc, but here’s his hypothetical reaction) “She abides. I have no strong opinions of her.”
Calvin: “Heh, she’s one of my good friends. We’ve known each other since we were really little. She’s like, one of the kindest Sprunkies you could ever meet. And she likes ninjas too, so there’s that. I mean, she did give me this strap right here to help complete my uniform. She’s also…really pretty. And I…find her really…cute- w-wait- please don’t tell anyone I said that.”

{R/n is in the middle of discussing the book she had her class read over the weekend, when she's called in to the counselor's office. She asks her TA to take over while she goes to see what was wrong? and finds the school nurse, Takeshi (Ultraman 80), one of his students and the student's sobbing mother waiting in her office.]
R/n: What seems to be the problem?
[The boy's mother was almost inconsolable and barely able to form sentence so Takeshi had to take over.]
Takeshi: Recently something's been going on with B/n(boy name), he barely pays attention in class, hardly turns in work and when he does the writing is almost non-intelligible.
{Takeshi showed R/n one of the boy's writing assignments, it seemed almost like a series of nonsensical dots and scratches...Yet strangely, R/n recognized it from somewhere.]
Takeshi: At first I thought it was just him not paying attention and writing too fast...
Nurse: Then Mr. Yamato came to me when speech thing started happening...
R/n: Speech thing?
Nurse: It's hard to explain, it almost sounds like a language, I mean...You have hear it for yourself.
Takeshi: That's why we wanted you're opinion before sending him to the hospital...
(The boy snorts, R/n cocks a brow)
R/n: Is there something you'd like to say B/n?
B/n, smirking: Sahlo joor, Hi ni mindol fin suleyk do dii zul!
{B/n's mother wails thinking he had some sort of mental breakdown, but R/n wasn't buying it. She stared the boy dead in the eyes not missing how he flinched for second.]
R/n, sternly: Grik pahlok, Hi drun paak wah fin Dovah Sos...
{All the color drains from the boy's face as everyone in the office stares at R/n in disbelief.]
B/n's mother, sniffling: Y-you know what he's s-saying?
R/n: Yeah, it's called Dovah zul or the dragon's tongue it's from a video game.
B/n's mother: Wha?
R/n: I think B/n was trying to con you all into thinking he was mentally unstable or something so he could stay home and play games all day. I guess he wasn't expecting the school counselor to be a gamer too.
[B/n's mother's face went from anguish to anger as she realized what was happening she grabbed her son by the arm and pulled him out of his chair.]
B/n's mother, through gritted teeth: Thank-you for you time Miss L/n... (walks to to the door)
R/n, to B/n: Oh, B/n? Gimme back my action figure!
{B/n pulled Belial out of his coat pocket and roughly tossed the sparkdoll onto her desk, R/n and Takeshi could feel the anger radiating from Belial, but his rage was nothing in comparison to B/n's mother who frog marched him out of the school, last thing they heard was her plans to send the boy to the countryside to go live on his uncle's farm.]
Belial, got up as soon the nurse left: Little brat, good riddance...

Dovah zul translations (i used this site)
B/n: Weak mortal, you don't know the power of my voice!
R/n: Such arrogance, You bring shame to the dragons blood...

AITA for raising my daughter to be resourceful and self sufficient?
I (50sF) have a beautiful daughter (says she’s 18 but is really 16F, she’s only a junior in high school after all) who recently started a new year of school. Due to unfortunate circumstances, I wasn’t there to send her off, but I’ve been updating her weekly so she knows her dad and I are okay.
I faced a lot of challenges back in high school, and they shaped quite a lot of my life even to this very day. I worried for most of her youth that my darling daughter’s life would end up on the same trajectory as mine, and that unlike me, who had the help of a few friends I met (a “big brother” of sorts and a hairstylist downtown who knew quite a lot), she might be alone and unable to manage without drawing unwanted attention to herself and getting hurt. So I started teaching her. Simple things, like how to use kitchenware, how to DIY, how to pick locks, how to defend herself, and the use of cleaners like bleach and hydrogen peroxide. She took so many of my lessons to heart and for that I am forever so, so very proud of my sweet baby girl.
Here’s where I may be TA however. During our getaway of sorts, my husband (50sM) has been keeping up with the news. Turns out, two girls have disappeared from our darling’s high school (the police report said 18F, but they’re also juniors so likely 16; neither of them her, though. thank god!) and the police have absolutely no evidence! When reading through this case, though, my husband noticed some things: the picked locks, the missing knives, the bleach puddles and peroxide, and some “suspicious” trash bags. That was all the evidence they had to suggest foul play (not nearly enough, they think the girls could’ve disappeared under any other circumstances as well), but my dear husband must have suddenly remembered something tragic that happened when we were young, and he immediately started screaming about how our daughter was a monster and how I’d raised a killer! My love hasn’t raised his voice at me in YEARS, but he was so shaken up, he just kept yelling and yelling! I hate to see my precious husband so upset, and it did get me thinking: had I put my daughter into some line of fire by teaching her to stand up for herself? I’d hate to see the poor girl arrested for simply protecting what she loved… should I have not taught her at all and just let her struggle? Surely not, right?
Perhaps my husband is overreacting. The important thing to me is that my daughter is happy and fighting for what she knows is hers, and I surely can’t be the asshole for that, can I?
