O Dionysos, O Bacchus!
My Lord, may I be free from all stress and worry
O Eleutheros, O Liber!
May I rise up like the mighty grapevine
And may I create a path for myself wherever I see a dead end
Hail, O Bull-Horned God!
Hail, O Thrice-Born Lord!

Ex christian. Family freaked out when I said i was an atheist so I know for sure that they CANNOT find out im a pagan or polytheist.
I hope that everyone who was hurt through religion , finds comfort , And safety . Whether that be in a new religion , finding peace in an old religion , or fining peace in a lack of religion .

Zuse finally got to me 😅
I'll confess I've been slightly..... ignoring him. While also, doing things to honor him.
Yesterday during Mabon I had realized I didn't even have a candle for him.
Which meant, he wasn't *invited* technically.
Yet. Today was probably the best day I've had in. Well. A very long time.
As if he said *Who are you, a mear mortal, to ignore me, the King of the God's? While giving crowns to lesser Kings. I Zuse King, see how mighty I am.*
Storms started not long after I realized he didn't even have a candle. Persisted all throughout the day on and off.
It was a glorious day.
This time I did clarification all throughout the day. And every time Zuse. Plus like, every single thing about him everywhere lol.
Look at the magic

Glorious day.
Had to completely redo the upper alter. Because King. Lol
That Green candle for Loki?
Pure miracle.
They, until now apparently, only made the 44oz. Candles in primary colors. So no green. I'd been working to melt one down for the jar and make him one. Even bought all the stuff. My OCD however gets upset about low candles..... so I never finish one enough to make him one.
Then today. I was there just yesterday mind you. Today, there it they are. Big Green candles.
I actually shouted out when I saw it.
That's not to mention I saw 2 what I originally thought were crows, but I do belive were ravens today. The flowers. All of it.
Loki is STOKED about the candle. He's been bouncing all night.
Even Hephaestus got a big Candle(hand me down).
Today.
Was a gift.
A miracle to be honest.
All the love and thanks to the gods for it.
Zuse and Apollo today especially.
♥️

Well, I was taking a bubble bath until a thunderstorm rolled in, and now I'm just stoned and awkward... I know the concept of lightning travelling through water pipes is largely outdated and unlikely, but I've been slagging off Zeus too much lately to risk it man fuck it
I need to burn some beef as a sacrifice or something, fuck...

Orphic Hymn to Dionysos
Dionysus I call loud sounding and divine
Fanatic god a two-fold shape is thine
Thy various names and attributes I sing
O first born thrice begotten Bacchic king
Rural, ineffable, two-form'd, obscure,
double-horn'd, with ivy crown'd, euion, pure
Bull-fac'd, and martial, bearer of the vine,
endu'd with counsel Eubouleos and divine:
Triennial, whom the leaves of vines adorn,
of Zeus and Persephone, occultly born
Immortal daimon, hear my suppliant voice,
give me in blameless plenty to rejoice;
And listen gracious to my mystic pray'r,
surrounded with thy choir of nurses fair.

I felt Dio's presence so much yesterday, it was very nice. <3
I was worried about my hygiene a lot yesterday because my depression was heavy. When I hugged someone very important to me, she told me I smelled like grapes. :D (for the record, i didn't have anything grape-scented on. )

Libations Info sheet:
A libation is pouring out a liquid as offerings to the gods. Typically poured into soil or cracks on the ground. Mainly Chthonic Gods get libations as offerings. Chthonic gods are gods associated with the underworld, fertility and earth. Even an Olympic god, which would be the opposite of a Chthonic god, can be classified as one. An example of this would be Dionysus, as he's connected with fertility. The pouring liquid into the earth is symbolic as pouring liquid "directly to the gods", therefore only Chthonic gods.
The liquid can be wine, water, oil, milk or honeyed milk. A god might have a more specific connection to one of those liquid and therefore prefers one. The liquid would usually be served in a chalice (out of any Material) or if not anything else available, just a cup or glass will do. Additionally to any libations would a simple offering prayer be said.
In ancient greece tradition was for libations to happen 2-5 times a day. In the morning, at night and to each meal. These were shared offerings between deity and worshipper. Half of it would be poured into earth while the other would be consumed by the worshipper.
All of these traditions aren't necessary of course as these are modern times. The gods won't be dissapointed or angry with you for not following eon old traditions. But it is a nice sentiment.
Hopefully this post clears the questions someone might have about this act, if anything is unclear, again, just ask.
Happy witching! 🍇🌾

Watching Netflix’s Kaos so you don’t have to
Episode One review:
Ok so everyone pointed out how Americanized this show looked but it’s also hella British not just with the actors but with the tone, also I’m pretty sure Crete doesn’t look like that.
Anyway one thing that’s really confusing me is if the original mythology actually happened in the past of this universe. Like are Orpheus and Eurydice (Argh why do they call her Riddy that’s such a stupid nickname) reincarnations of their original selves? Is president Minos the same as King Minos? The most confusing thing of all is Dionysus’s arc, it’s all about him wanting to prove himself to his father as powerful god and expand his domain… but if he’s already an Olympian hasn’t he already done that? In mythology he literally had a whole journey going around Greece and beyond to make mortals worship him and earn a place among the Olympians, wouldn’t the show version already do that? This is all very confusing.
Anyway… why do the temples of the gods look like Christian churches? How do you westernize an already western culture? (With an eastern religion no less) And why does that priestess of Hera (who is Eurydice’s mother btw) have her tongue cut off??? And how does that make Hera able to hear her worshippers prayers? This is such a bizarre attempt to make the gods seem cruel and uncaring but Hera doesn’t do anything close to that in mythology, she’s does other cruel shit but the show doesn’t lean on that for some reason.
Sighhhhhhhhh I could complain about more stuff but I’m willing to hear this show out maybe it will ease my concerns idk
Let’s start with positives now:
First of all KITTTEEEEEEEEHHHHH
I like Zeus’s relationship with Hera and Prometheus so far
The arc with Eurydice falling out of love with Orpheus has the potential to be interesting
Dionysus is fun, idk about his characterization tho

so I often see hellenic pagans here with deep connections to gods who seem a little... unexpected? For example, Poseidon devotees who are landlocked and don't really have any interest in the sea, or Ares worshippers who aren't soldiers, dislike violence and exertion, and aren't involved in any equivalent like sports etc. I'm definitely one of these cases-- two of my most long-term worship relationships are with Aphrodite and Dionysus, despite my being a spinster who's never even been kissed and someone who also generally avoids/dislikes drugs and alcohol. On the surface, I'm sure they look like the weirdest choices for someone like me to be drawn to. But I have my reasons! And I'm curious to hear other people's! If you're attached to a god who seems like an unlikely choice for you and want to share why and what draws you to them, I'd love to hear!
