With the Isaac Online update on the horizon, I'm curious if any changes are coming to the two genuine scars on an amazing game, Delirium and Greedier Mode. Ed said that the Isaac Online update would include QoL improvements and I don't think it's out of the question that Delirium and Greedier Mode could see some substantial changes being made to them, finally making them an actually enjoyable part of the game.

It was blue skies when I opened the unmarked door and stepped into Sergio’s World Beers. Six hours later, it was just after ten when I said good night to Diana and Brandon and stepped out onto the sidewalk to call my Lyft. It was dark!

Before that I’d said good night to Chris and David, visiting from Somerset, KY. They were well educated and traveled men, theists unafraid to speak to an atheist and debate religion, climate change, and swap beer stories.

Before that I’d wished Shannon a happy birthday as he left. Another engineer, he told me things about Sergio I didn’t know, Sergio’s dad is a renowned mathematician!

Before that I’d congratulated the owner, Sergio Ribenboim on being made an Honorary Knight of the Brewer’s Paddle by the Guild of Brewers in Belgium. Sergio is a treasure for Louisville.

Six hours of delightful conversation fueled by four five wonderful beers, counting the Deus champagne beer Sergio shared for Shannon’ birthday. All in all, a typical session to be honest.

Caretaker held Whumpee firmly from behind, holding their flailing arms as still as possible. It did nothing to stop Whumpee from pushing their feet against the passenger seat, desperately trying to gain leverage and escape. “Whumpee, please! You have to calm down!” they shouted, trying to bite down their own panic. 

This wasn't the reunion they'd hoped for. They'd been looking for Whumpee for weeks, searching tirelessly since Whumper had taken them. Caretaker had expected them to be hurt and exhausted, but they'd never expected them to be terrified to see them.

Caretaker felt their heart break as Whumpee let out a low, frightened whine. It hurt to see Whumpee was disoriented, so confused that they couldn't  recognize they were being rescued. It hurt to see Whumpee stare through them without a hint of recognition.

“We’ve got about twenty minutes before we reach the hospital," Leader said from the driver's seat.

Shit. They didn't know if Whumpee could wait that long. They didn't know what was wrong, if this delirium was from a drug or brain injury. The thought of Whumpee dying confused and terrified nearly sent Caretaker into their own panic.

But there was nothing they could do. "You're going to be alright, okay?" They whispered instead. They could feel Whumpee's heart pounding, feel their body going limp as they struggled to catch their breath.

"I'm scared-!" Whumpee panted, breathless and pitiful, their head falling back to slump onto Caretaker's shoulder.

Caretaker planted a kiss into Whumpee's matted hair. "I know. I've got you.

Caretaker held them close, refusing to let go.

The underwater world of lost civilizations...

Underwater cities are a subject that has fascinated researchers for a long time. They are difficult to find and even more difficult to study, but we already know several examples of ruins of lost civilizations that are hidden in the depths of the sea. The most famous is the ancient part of the Egyptian city of Alexandria. The city, founded in 331 AD with a famous library, gradually began to sink when the sea level unexpectedly began to rise. Eventually, the Mediterranean Sea swallowed the historically thinnest part of the city. Today, the ruins are located 6 to 8 meters below the surface of the water and are a popular tourist attraction, and archaeologists are still discovering new facts.

According to Mayan legends, the world has already ended several times (global floods?) and the trace of human civilization ends about 12 thousand years ago (that is how old the oldest human city, Qaramel, discovered a few years ago in present-day Syria). Global studies of the layers of the earth have confirmed traces of the flood about 12-13 thousand years ago / This means that the history of human civilizations, which in the eyes of archaeology is still getting longer… may be at least twice as long. Perhaps many thousands of years ago there were advanced civilizations on all continents and trade, which helped, for example, in similar technical thought in different parts of the world (e.g. building pyramids).

Maybe this is the context of the story of Atlantis?

Of course, some of the flooded cities are the result of earthquakes or ancient climate changes, but it seems that if we were to look for the real beginnings of human civilization, the best place would be… underwater depths.
