Tamatori Event Highlights in Onmyoji RPG
Seimei said "Yesterday, he received a letter from Tadayuki, saying that Tadayaki was tracing back his clan ancestors and that he was trapped in a fantasy world, and he was afraid that he would not be able to escape for a while.
Does this have anything to do with the crow caller since the Kamo Clan founder and ancestor being a crow god in the orginal myths? Are they trying to villainze Yatagarasu? Also, the writers keep forgetting that Yasunori exists.
Michitsuna said that the inviter to the night banquet turned out to be a big pirate who had become famous recently and that the waters of the Fujiwara Family have received frequent visits from her.
Does Tamatori have any familial connections to the Fujiwara Clan in this game. Is she their ancestress and they are keeping it a secret because they don't want anyone to find out that they have yokai ancestry or is it just going to be a surface level thing. Is there a good backstory why she became a pirate? Did she die like she did in the orginal myth and an explanation would be given why she was resurrected in the game or has she never died in this game? I have low expectations for this game. If she was resurrected did she become a pirate after being resurrect?
Tamatori said that in one of the treasure box there was the severed tail of the legendary great fox yokai, Kuzunoha, but is anyone there supposed to know that Kuzunoha is a fox yokai accept for Seimei (and maybe Kohaku) as Kuzunoha was disguised as a famous human onmyoji in Heian-Kyo. Would that cause everyone to be shock and ask Seimei questions about it? Everyone at Seimei's house may not mind, but Yorimitsu hates yokai, but may eventually come to somewhat accept Seimei. Are the writers even going to let the human populace find out that Seimei is a fox hanyo? Personally, I don't think the current writers are capable of making such a good and compelling story.
Also, it said that Tamatori had no intention of showing Seimei Kuzunoha's tail. She just showed it just because. Shouldn't Seimei be furious and refuse to go along with the game she having them play? Also, what role would Dark Seimei would play in this? What are Kohaku's thoughts on this as a fox yokai? One thing I do know is that the writers treat Kuzunoha very badly.

A couple of things about Limbo and Danzou, because I am constantly thinking about those two:
First of all, a possible hint at why Limbo is so fixated on her. Kashin Koji of course is her creator, and their dialogue mentions that they have a deep respect for Seimei, and not only that, their Valentine's scene brings up that Seimei was involved in the precursors to Kashin's own karakuri, and are made from the same craft. Given Douman's obsession with Seimei and need to surpass him is the whole reason he became so twisted in the first place, I doubt its a mere coincidence that the creator of the doll he's fixated on would bring up Seimei. Combined with how he found her in a helpless state where he could easily toy with her as much as he pleased, its no wonder he was quickly drawn to her and went to great lengths to hurt her so much.
The second thing I found interesting is Danzou's line for things she hates. There's no prerequisite for this line, so she's bringing it up before her interlude and heian-kyo (and apparently people were initially confused what she was referring to by the dark sun, though of course now its obvious she's talking about Limbo, that said, it IS mentioned at the very end of Shimousa, so the connection was always there- specifically the lines "He has taken in the dark god as his own personal sun, and transformed the wicked god into his own magical energy." and "Fear the curtain of night. Tremble before the dark sun.")
Anyway, I think this was an excellent way of conveying how deeply intertwined the two of them are, her story is in part about her breaking from from Limbo who continues to haunt her. This is Servant Danzou, who is based on PHH Danzou, not Shimousa's, so there's no way she would remember him, and yet he's hurt her so deeply that she has this innate fear of his symbol, the dark sun. (I wonder if the virus he implanted in her also plays a role in that...?)
Which is also why I'm disappointed Heian-kyo kinda half-assed the end of her and Limbo's entwined arc, it has a perfect lead up between Shimousa, her interlude, and the beginning of the chapter, but falls off and forgets about her for most of the middle/end. Honestly, it should have been a Danzou-centric chapter precisely because she's the one with the deepest connection (other than Seimei obviously)/most harmed by him and while she thankfully DOES get to be the one to finish him off, she didn't really do much during most of the chapter and it feels like they barely talked.
#fgo#fate grand order#ashiya douman#katou danzou#caster of limbo#kashin koji#infel's fate tag#whatever im putting on the tag cause oh my god these two!! i could talk for days about them#i have another post about shimousa stuff i need to finish shimousa was so good to me wow danzou getting great writing#oops it turned into me ranting about heian-kyo. AGAIN.#i know it might just be cause she's not popular but aghhh i love her so much and i was this close to getting the most me-targeted chapter#He's so weird about her!! and it might be a seimei thing in part cause of course#anyway LIMDAN!#also in-universe that line in kotarou's interlude about her not liking the sun can't be about him but i do wonder#if they meant it to bring him to mind?#but for her dislikes its specifically the *dark* sun so HAHAH yeah Limbo fucked her up!!!#im going wild about this

The real tragedy of it all is that despite all the turmoil that happened in their real life, the creation of limbo, fusing with limbo, the events as their existence as an apostle to the foreign god.. despite all of those evils committed both in their life and as an alterego, douman can never ever be truly 100% evil. At chaldea, they do things that can very well be misinterpreted as further misdeeds but the sei interlude we just had very much demonstrates that despite everything douman can’t help but assist those in need in some way, even if it is twisted and could have gone wrong. Gudako/gudao points out the very obvious good thing they were attempting and of course douman runs from such accusations. Mind you, this is their alter ego self doing it. My god the capacity of good in them is astonishing. They will always help wont they? They still have it in them to perform good. Despite everything??? Probably why i will forever hold douman dear, they’re a gem…
#I’m very distraught at such information#any additional info I obtain of doumans backstory just fuels the fire of admiration I have for douman when they joined chaldea#aaaaaa…..#this comic just further cements my belief that a majority maybe all of their evil deeds is tinged with a silver lining#technically they did eliminate a source of murders and grudges in one swoop even if the intention of this act was to harvest dark power for#fighting seimei#I wish for douman to do more crimes wheeeeeeeeeeee

When I think about it the two Seimeis, they could be considered brothers as they were one being split into two and shared a bond about each others whereabouts. I wish I could explore more. Also I am imagining how their parents who I am trying to patiently wait to appear would react if they have two sons. Would Kuzunoha and Masuki have a problem that Seimei split himself in two?
Also Susanoo moved in with Seimei. I seen comic strip of it in a video on the Official Chinese Onmyoji Facebook and YouTube Pages, but have not seen the comic in its entirety. Shuten Doji and Ibarki Doji were also in it. Also it probably also has when Dark Seimei meets Susanoo. The link to the video is below.

Yandere!Yokai Harem Character Guide
Introducing some of the characters Reader will encounter throughout the story. Get to know your monsters in this handy reference booklet!
Fun fact: The names of the characters are quite literally chapters from ‘The Tale of Genji’, one of the earliest existing novels written in the Heian period by noblewoman Murasaki Shibiku. Kiritsubo and Murasaki are your closest companions and bear the names of the main female characters of the story. (They’re men. A little irony.)
The list will be updated as more characters are revealed:
Abe no Nakamaro 阿倍 仲麻呂
Descendant of famous onmyōji Abe no Seimei, Nakamaro rapidly built his own reputation using the powers of yokai he'd captured across the country. His binding powers have yet to be deciphered. It is believed only his own blood can break the contract forged with the legendary beasts.
Known for his ruthlessness, Nakamaro was feared by humans and demons alike. His commissioned portraits often depict him surrounded by dark clouds - a signature detail - emphasizing his evil nature.
As you progress through your journey, you will be plagued by many flashbacks of his cruel deeds. It's almost as if your own hands are tainted by the blood of the yokai standing before you. You vow to free the beasts and prove you are nothing like the vile creature dwelling within your soul.
Kiritsubo 桐壺
The first yokai you encounter. Despite his intimidating appearance, he is the kindest of the group. He is tall and very muscular, with short, straight horns, long silver hair and glowing amber eyes. When he smiles you can spot his sharp, prominent fangs. He has multiple scars on his back, reminiscent of old punishments.
He is a dragon spirit, although his true powers remain unknown. Nakamaro always kept him close and was particularly strict with him, hoping to unlock his dormant potential, to no avail. He begins to show improvement once he embarks on his journey with you. It seems that his desire to protect his new owner was the secret all along.
Kiritsubo is extremely clingy once he gets to know you better. You're kind and patient and nothing like the famous onmyōji before you. He almost can't believe you're part of his reincarnation. He will follow you around everywhere, like a loyal dog, and might be overly touchy sometimes. He can't help it.
Murasaki 紫
Murasaki is the second yokai you meet. He is tall and slender, with long black hair and imposing horns. His deep crimson eyes hold a lot of resentment towards you, or rather whoever lies within you. Despite this, he always holds a disciplined posture and acts very well-mannered.
He used to be Nakamaro's right hand. He is considered to be the most skilled among the legendary yokai. A master of the sword and possessing unmatched intelligence, he served both as an advisor and bodyguard. Always cold and calculated, he rarely shows any hint of emotion. He seems to be quite sarcastic and arrogant.
He doesn't interact much with you in the beginning. In fact, he's most annoyed by the idea of partnering up with a weak human like you. He offers to train you with the sword and teaches you spells and prayers. Despite his complaints, he always protects you from any danger. As you spend more time together, he slowly opens up and might even show signs of attachment.
Suma 須磨
Suma is the biggest of the legendary yokai, towering over everyone with his gargantuan frame. He has bright red hair and large bull horns, with robust features and fierce eyes. He has many tattoos covering his body, going all the way up to his chin.
Suma is a worshipped guardian of war. He lives for battle and is said to reward bravery and courage. Despite this, he has a very approachable personality. He is loud and easygoing, rarely showing signs of distress. He uses a spear when fighting, although he prefers his bare hands. Brute strength is his specialty.
He finds it hilarious that the feared Abe no Nakamaro has been reincarnated into a small girl. He will often joke around with you and challenge you to playfights. When borrowing his powers, you are able to display impressive feats of physical strength. He likes watching you fight and encourages you to train.
Yuugiri 夕霧
Yuugiri is a mysterious yokai. He is pale with rather feminine features, appearing androgynous. He is very elegant and well spoken, although both Kiritsubo and Murasaki have warned you to be wary of him.
He is a serpent spirit, sly and manipulative. He is known for tricking humans and devouring their souls, yet very few can tell his true nature. He is incredibly charismatic and many people fall in love with him, meeting their early demise.
You cannot read him and therefore keep your distance. His twisted smile never leaves his face. He is very interested in you and while his reasoning might be superficial in the beginning, he does become rather attached and tries to prove his honest feelings to you.
Warning: Spoilers ahead!
Sekiya 関屋
One of the yokai that has remained by Abe no Nakamaro's side, in his resting tomb. He is the one that kept his presence concealed, casting a barrier around the temple for the entirety of his master's slumber.
His main power is casting barriers. Sekiya is the one that guards the entrance and guides you towards the onmyōji for your battle. Once you defeat Nakamaro, he joins your group.
He is very reserved, shy and insecure. He cannot fight properly and often bemoans his lack of purpose. Like Kiritsubo, he falls in love with your kind nature and clings to you, hoping to be of use.
Sakaki 榊
The other yokai to guard Nakamaro's tomb, Sakaki has been tasked to keep his master alive.
He has the ability to heal and even revive under certain circumstances. After your fight against Abe no Nakamaro, he offers to heal your fatal wounds and joins your group.
Sakaki is rather gloomy and depressed by nature. He has an unhealthy obsession with death and often makes grim or unusual remarks. He considers you his muse and will sometimes write unsettling poetry dedicated to you.

i tweeted this the other day but i genuinely think kairis weird heart crystal is supposed to be a balloon flower, called a kikyō in japanese (yes it's the same spelling as kikyo from inuyasha lol)
per hananokotoba dot com it's a flower that represents endless love, honesty, obedience, and the desire for the return of a friend
there's also an old story about a woman who's lover is out at sea, and as she's waiting for his return, she is turned into a kikyō - this is said to be where it's symbolism of "eternal love" comes form
it's also a flower that is associated with stars and pentagrams, with it being star shaped. the five points of the flower are a stand in for the five Chinese elements per some sources.
Abe no Seimei was a japanese astrologer and advisor to the emperor, and was thought to have mystical powers. he is likened to Merlin in some ways due to the legends surrounding his life. he had power of divination and was thought to be able to predict the future.
he's often depicted with a book or scroll and writing implement(s) when practicing onmyōdō (a divination/fortune telling practice common at the time in Japan)
compare to Kairi's depiction as a writer. she is writing letters, but given her connection to Namine, who is able to alter sora's memories by drawing, i think it's representative of some sort of power she may yield (also given that it's implied that her letter opens the door to light in the RoD)
(also note the color of their pencils:) )
am i going anywhere with this? Maybe. We also have the book of prophecies and MoM. who could probably also be seen as analogous to Abe no Seimei with his ability to predict future events.
one more shot in the dark that im not sure if true but ive had suspicions about.
the lich. it's so reminiscent to me of depictions of abe no seimei (especially those in more recent pop culture)
like compare its head to the tate-eboshi, a hat worn by nobility and those high in the imperial court
it's wearing tattered robes. which both of course resemble European depictions of witches and sorcerers (the pointed head does this as well)
to me the lich's design also harkens a bit to radiant garden and to kairi and namine. it's got pinkish and whitish edges on its robes. the edge of its skirt is uneven like Namine's dress. the three chains look sort of like the dangling bits on the tower in radiant garden (tumblr mobile blocking me from uplaoding more pics so hang tight!)

I cannot take it anymore. Susanoo conflict with Orochi does not bother me as I am okay with rivalry between two people. Not to mention I like the stories about Susanoo, Amaterasu, and Tsukuyomi in Japanese Mythology even though their relationship Netease Onmyoji i have not complained. However, I want to express how I hate that so many Susanoo fans (not all of them by the way) want him to become the main character and Seimei to be tossed aside while I am wait for Netease to bring Dark Seimei back in the game as well as Seimei's Rival, Ashiya Doman. Also, the Kidomaru event has just ended in China and is just beginning in global, but I still have seen any fanfics or fanarts that revolves around the both of them. Does the fandoms hate Seimei and Kidomaru that much?
There is fandoms favoritism towards certain shikigami and shippings too because when I try to look for fanwork on some of the ones I like, there is barely any.
I was trying to find the manga/manhua where Susanoo appears and meets Shuten Doji and Ibarki Doji as I think it has some material that is not in the game. I could not find it myself and a glimpse of it was shown on the 6th anniversary video on the Official Chinese YouTube and Facebook Pages. Can you direct me to a location where I can read it?
im so sorry but this is probably the 1 area of onmyoji i cant help you with. i hate susanoo's character so much because of the role he played in royally fucking over orochi. it is very irrational and very biased but i have refused to look at one singular cg, event, dialogue, or tweet from onmyoji about him because he makes me evil. for finding comics, the only place i could hazard a guess at is facebook, but if you checked that then im out of ideas, sorry :')

Recent Reblogs
Note to everyone that reblogs about Miketsu was made before Amaterasu's, Susanoo's, and Tsukuyomi's (Not Susabi, but the other Tsukuyomi) canonical appearance.
In truth, it think it was ashamed and wasted potential that they did not go into detail about Inari Foxes since Seimei, who was supposed to be the main character had some connections to them, but he got sidelined and the writers seemed to forgot that Seimei's Parents, Kuzunoha, Masuki, and even Dark Seimei exist.

ok sick i love being enabled
now to preface maybe i should say im not particularly interested in the fucking aspect of selfcest, it just doesnt do much for me beyond what selfcest as a premise is already doing for me, and what im far more into is like choking or stabbing each other to death (like in mozaik role) or if one of them is already a corpse
i went at it in sort of a center out approach bc the question that prompted this was "does jerking off count as selfcest" which is obviously no bc there has to be at least 2 bodies i think
1 step removed from "you", that dark grey circle, is sort of the platonic ideal of "another you". this 2nd you is EXACTLY EXACTLY identical to you. im inclined to think that even though this Could be considered "selfcest" in the technical definition of the word, it doesnt have the Spirit of selfcest, or what makes selfcest appealing most of the time.
mind you, by exactly identical i MEAN exactly identical. its like fucking a mirror. this is mostly a hypothetical, because i dont think ive actually ever seen selfcest done this way? theres always at least Some minor difference. personally, if this ever actually happened, i feel like it would be almost robotic, just going through the motions, knowing exactly what the other person is doing and would do and wants
the charm of selfcest, like most things, lies in the imperfection and differences, i think. although my philosophy friend has different opinions
and tbh now that ive had more time to think on it, do you even know what "exactly you" is? is it possible to know the entirety of "who you are"? i wouldnt say i know even 60% of who i am. would you recognise you if you passed you on the street? (although i guess if you did "pass you" on the street, then that other you wasnt "exactly you" anyway) or maybe, would another you who is "exactly you" be completely unrecognizable to you yourself? in the way 100% pure food compounds taste sterile? this is sort of why the concept of "exactly you" is just a hypothetical thought experiment to me, it just serves to emphasize what selfcest is about.
anyway my friend invented noncon selfcest in a effort to figure out what situation "exactly you" would happen in
the green zone is sort of your standard selfcest, most selfcest falls here. i dont feel like i have to elaborate too much since im not trying to classify the taxonomy of the different sources of selfcest (i.e. cloning, mimics, time travel, splitting a person, just plain alternate universe, etc etc) and thats not the point of this, since all types of selfcest are just a means to an end (selfcest), and selfcest is also just a means to an end (character study)
the yellow zone is a bit hard to put into words but its like, not exactly "2 of the same person", but it still has the spirit of selfcest. most mimics would fall here. seimei and haruaki are actually in this category i think because theyre different enough people. you could say haruaki is seimei, but idk if you can say seimei is haruaki.
now white haru and normal haru. thats SOLIDLY in the green zone thats THE MOST classic definition of selfcest (a la hetalia 2P). thank u tanaka mai for the fanservice.
(actually now that im googling hetalia 2p there isnt even that much color palette inverting. where did that come from if not hetalia. i know i have ocs from 10+ years ago that was 2 of the same guy but color inverted and i knew other ppl who had ocs like that or was doing that to minecraft youtubers. hell i still have ocs like that)
BONUS ROUND the so-called selfcest pipeline. i dont fully buy it bc i think selfcest is super easy to get into but also we dont have the sample size. if u read until here ur the sample size now. how did u get into selfcest
BONUS BONUS ROUND the whatever this is
BONUS BONUS BONUS ROUND the response for the person who originally raised the "is jerking off selfcest" question

Since Douman vs Dios Dioscuri part of the anthology was translated, Seimei was mentioned there. Wanted to ask what's the overall Seimei's characterization is it Nasuverse so far and what exactly his nature with Douman is?
The first mention of Seimei is Tamamo's backstory in Fate/EXTRA. Tamamo describes him as a sexy monster of darkness with an underworld-colored soul. Medusa levels of negative bias toward her killer, but it's interesting that Tamamo can't deny that he is hot. There's a lot of speculation to be made based on what Tamamo finds attractive, but that would have been a post of its own and not one I personally want to write.
But right from the bat, Nasu's Seimei shows deviations from the original myths. Traditionally, Tamamo no Mae is outed by Abe no Yasuchika, the descendant that comes 5 generations after Seimei. Because Tamamo's story is set a whole century after Seimei's death. Tsuchimikado Yasuhiro's reveal later was a surprise to me because EXTRA had me assuming Seimei was posing as his own descendant to this day.
Later FGO has Seimei as a character a lot of people mention and the descriptions we get of him get very mixed. Most oni characters have little respect for him. Even the human-aligned mixbloods Raikou/Ushi and Nagiko express respect for him as a professional but dislike him as a person. Meanwhile, the fully human Murasaki respects him as a person but not as a teacher. And Kiichi is laughing too hard to voice their opinion.
But our biggest Seimei commenter is obviously Douman, who unfortunately never gets coherent enough about this subject to give a clear account. Koyanskaya describes Seimei's and Douman's situation as "one is an arrogant bastard who thinks he can domesticate a treacherous friend, while the other is a rotten degenerate who will get rid of said friend through backstabbing". Negative bias befitting of her Tamamo face but it doesn't paint an accurate-looking enough picture. The two summer events featuring Douman had moments of Seimei disciplining him, and Seimei's overall respect for Douman really shows in their last Heian interaction.
Meanwhile, Douman sees Seimei as a generic good guy and projects his image in Fujimaru as early as Shimousa, something even his summoned version continues to do in his Valentine's scene.
Seimei still hasn't appeared in FGO, but without appearing, he's still a major character in two of its stories. Heian and the summer event in Treasure Island. In both situations, we get to see him as confident, competent, and prone to insufferable jokes. He shows off his clairvoyance by having a total view of the plot and using modern slang to communicate with Fujimaru. He also transparently tries to make Kintoki feel better by saying Douman wasn't his Servant, a lie that even the gullible Kintoki doesn't buy.
Interestingly enough, the character Kintoki finds the most similar to Seimei is Holmes. I still don't know what he meant with this one.
And the last story to involve Seimei so far is Fate/Samurai Remnant. Seimei left his playthrough summary of Fate/stay night for his descendant Yasuhiro to make the Waxing Moon with. Yasuhiro was desperate to restore the Tsuchimikado reputation damaged by his father, but with or without Waxing Moon, Takatoshi's son would make the Tsuchimikados the authority on onmyouji again. All Seimei's notes accomplish is to give Yasuhiro a taste of hope that he wouldn't have in Pan-Human History despite the completion of his goals being assured. Yasuhiro's hope comes at the cost of many lives, but I still can't but feel the meaning of Seimei's choice here.
Overall, I can't perfectly summarize Seimei's characterization through comparison with a character from another series, but I have one I feel comes close enough. Muhyou Tooru, protagonist of Muhyo and Rouji's Bureau of Supernatural Investigation. He's arrogant, unmotivated to teach talentless people, trollish, scary, and determined to leash and redeem an evil friend. More a mishmash of the comments we get about Seimei than the stuff we from him directly, but I still can see Muhyo as a great source of inspiration here.

i like how ritsuka ends up “acquiescing” to soubi’s need for orders + action (of course we don’t see the actual result of this compromise due to seimei) instead of continuing to resist the way soubi functions… i think it says a lot that this happens after they’ve gone through a good deal of relationship development during goura as a lot was kinda hashed out between them in one way or another………. ritsuka tends to be pretty moralizing esp when it comes to soubi (ritsuka is obv "accepting" of him but you know what i mean… he contains multitudes) and so his decision to give soubi orders “if that’s what he needs” is very nice development… in my opinion… esp since he is affirming his intention to stay by soubi's side. also obligatory ritsuka’s life sucks statement IDC...
also it all reminds me of this certain characterization i would read on livejournal of soubi as like. his whole dilemma being he just needs to find an ethical outlet for his masochism which evidently isn't really true considering the kiss in the dark thing + the little that soubi has said about himself irt masochism and orders. but lately i do like this idea a lot HAHAHA i don't have the vocabulary to expand on it but taking this character that lives his life in such an unpalatable way but "allowing" him to live that way if that is what he "needs"... and the question of ethics... yum I DON'T KNOW... FUN.
#i love masochists so much though that's my thing.#my understanding of soubi's character and like everything else in loveless has shifted so rapidly since i started posting again but it's#frustrating bc i don't know how to SPEAK!#text

Further Servant details under the cut:
MELTRYLLIS:
The Alter-Ego of Pleasure, developed in the near future by a rogue AI.
Her nature is inherently sadistic, taking great pleasure from watching others grovel before her. With bladed legs, she holds the ability to drain others of their abilities, melting them away until they have nothing left.
An entity who is lacking some of her fundamental senses, namely her sense of touch. Her sadistic nature and her inability to feel on a physical level mean that she has simply learned to accept herself for who she thinks she is- a monster. A monster that can do nothing more than 'steal' from others.
However, as she was built from the dreaming heart of an innocent girl, and those kinder desires laying underneath her violent exterior may emerge under the correct circumstances.
TIAMAT:
The Mother of Genesis who waged war against her young. The Great Primordial, Tiamat manifested in a 'larval' state.
In this Saint Graph, she has taken the form of an taciturn yet prideful young woman who firmly stands beside humanity while not hesitating to point out their flaws, if only to help nurture them and allow them to become something greater. Due to her youthful form, she lacks the immense pressure of an Evil of Humanity, but is instead simply a massively powerful Heroic Spirit. As a primordial deity that exists as a mother to gods, mortals, and monsters alike, she possesses a conceptual Authority over all things that have been birthed from a mother.
She holds ancient magic within her body, and can access the "Sea of Life" that had birthed all things in Mesopotamia. With that magic, she holds the ability to submerge herself and briefly return to her true draconic form, unleashing apocalyptic hell on those who stand against her.
ASHIYA DOUMAN:
A Buddhist onmyouji from the Heian Period. Possessing a sharp wit and a powerful body, the monk Ashiya Douman can be considered a true predator, a dangerous entity that can rip and tear those who aren't careful enough around him.
Charismatic and dangerous in his nature, he was one of the most renowned mages of his time, but was often overshadowed by his contemporary Abe-no-Seimei. This rivalry led to a catastrophic event that laid a curse on the lands, cementing his role as a dark sorcerer for years to come.
Through his skills, it is said that he had mastered a form of immortality, alongside other great acts of mysticism that made him a worthy rival to Abe-no-Seimei. As an Alter-Ego, he possesses several components of other divine spirits, namely those that occupy the domain of 'death' or 'curses'. Perhaps as a Caster he could be summoned in a 'purer' state, but it seems as if this twisted Ashiya Douman holds a much stronger presence in the Throne.
