Have you ever thought what alternate versions of Killer would be like if they came from other AUs? I've seen an Underlust Killer flying around here and there and Underswap Papyrus being put in the role of Killer somewhat, but what about variants from Underfell, Outertale and elsewhere?

I made a Dancetale Killer once. Gotta redesign and rename him but the shape of his soul was supposed to be a musical note that gradually got more distorted as he switched from one Stage to the next.

I wonder how Color would react to these guys, but it's likely it would be the same treatment as every other Killer he rescues.

It would be fun to imagine though that every process of Color bonding with these guys would be vastly different from the last, and he probably can't dance so Dancetale!Killer would keep fucking tripping him out of misguided spite before any progress is made.

I personally think every Killer gets a different version of Color. It’s still the same Color, just Color trapped in his own special form of a time loop of failure. Again.

Sometimes Color is a lot more closed off and withdrawn, trying to maintain distance, not wanting to get attached again. Trying to maintain that emotional distance they had at the very beginning, wanting to help purely because Killer is someone that needs and wants Color’s help, not because Killer is also someone so important to Color. It wasn’t a good idea to get attached to someone in Killer’s situation at all, was it.

A Color fresh off the heels of a recent lost of his best friend, maybe the current Killer views him as too clingy and is exceedingly dismissive and manipulative of Color; and experiences with this Killer effects Color by the time the next one comes around, tensing up at every touch, as if torn between pulling or pushing away or leaning into the touch.

Being ignored or overlooked or dismissed could send Color reeling from the amount of pain and hurt and anger he feels. Especially with Nightmare whispering in his mind that Killer would never be happy with him anyway, and he should just let himself become nothing more than a faint stain on Killer memory he’ll soon forget, like everyone has.

I think everything with Killer and Nightmare and Color deeply traumatizes Color and the souls. He just refuses to give up on Killer, filled with Perseverance, even if it kills him. Even if Killer kills him. Even if Color kills himself. Much to the souls and Color’s distress and fear and anger.

By the time he manages to convince a Killer to leave, and actually manages to keep this one alive and safe, everything starts coming and rushing forward in memories and emotions and sensations in the form of the souls. Once it finally clicks that he and killer are actually safe now, and that constant ball of worry and stress in colors chest starts to unravel.

Everything Color was able to dissociate from, everything he couldn’t handle that the souls took on, everything comes rushing back at some point. And Color is torn between past and the present, what he desperately wants to have with Killer, and the memories and pain it took to even get here.

And the feeling that none of it should matter anymore, it was years ago, with a different Killer. They’re gone now, he should focus on the one in front of him. The one who seems to want and need him, actually sees him.

All is to say, Color and Dancetale!Killer have definitely had a dance battle and it was very..homoerotic and yet very spiteful.

Seen a lot of Dancetale!Killer on my dash today,,,

What I wanna know is what you people think he looks like, cause I have a little bit of an idea but also not.

I'm not a fan of Dance!Sans's usual look, it's not not satisfying to me. Makes narrative sense from what I recall of Dancetale's few pieces of canon, but it's boring. Doesn't scratch the brain right.

Give me more platonic affection.

Give me omega timeline residents approaching Asgores because they give the best hugs.

Give me Ink, learning about physical affection by observing people, having Blue explain the different ways people hold hands. Him tackling Top and Aster to the ground trying to figure out how hugs go.

Give me Dream who only cries when someone’s hugging him because it’s the only time he feels shielded enough to break.

Give me Nightmare and Error, who after years of working together, finally end their deals with a handshake.

Give me Blueberror who’s off button is any kind of physical affection.

Give me Core Frisk, still a child, clinging to people’s hands, holding a larger hand in both of theirs.

Givr me Nightmare falling asleep on a movie night and the rest of the gang can’t move because his tendrils lay on top of them like sleeping cats.

Give me Blue forcing his two semi-immortal friends into cuddle piles so they actually sleep for once.

Give me Fresh showing trust by letting people hold his head, so close to the eyesockets that hold his true form.

Give me Error and Geno readjusting to touch after the emptiness of their containments, telling the other that they’re there by knocking knees.

Give me Frisks in the omega timeline offering a shoulder to lean on for Charas, or anyone who asks.

Give me Underfell where the skelebros curl up around eachother to watch the other’s back, even in sleep.

Give me Outertales where handholding is common to make sure no one floats off into space.

Give me Gasters who use their many hands to give head pats to their sons/coworkers (Sans, Papyrus, and Alphys) as well as doing science work stuff.

Give me Nightmare who curls his tendrils on top of his subordinate’s heads like a strange pat on the back.

Give me Horror who will simply pick his teammates up and hold them like the wet cats they are.

Give me Cross who’s so unused to any physical affection he freezes up, and Killer using this to his advantage by grabbing his hand to distract him from the cow nearby or to get him to stop training for a bit.

Give me Nightmare laying a tendril over Dream’s shoulder to remind himself that his twin is there, and they aren’t fighting anymore.

Give me Dusts that will curl up on top of people like a cat.

Give me Inks who give surprise hugs to his friends.

Give me Errors who wrap his strings around people to give them hugs.

Give me Horror Papyrus becoming the center of hug piles in Nightmare’s gang because the boys miss their brothers a lot, and he’s the closest they’ll get with the gang’s reputation.

Give me Killer, just met Nightmare, and the baby goop clings to him while they explore the multiverse.

Give me Ink and Error pulling eachother along by the scarfs.

Give me Dancetale where duo dances end with a hug (or high five if too sweaty for a hug)

Give me Fell Papyrus holding Fell Sans’s hand out and about, using the excuse of making sure Sans doesn’t wander off when asked.

Give me post-truce spontaneous skeleton cuddle piles.

Give me Killer randomly tackling his teammates.

Give me Ink being so physically affectionate people think he’s flirting (he’s not).

Give me Papyrus calling Sans a cat while he curls up on his shoulder.

Give me Sans holding Geno’s hand carefully when things get a bit too much after his time of the Save Screen.

Give me careful fingers tracing the edges of Papyrus’s rarely-seen hands.

Give me Dust trying, and failing, to touch his Papyrus.

Give me Passive Nightmare’s ghost curling up around Dream’s shoulders like a purple boa, hugging him around the neck when things get rough.

Give me the gang curling up on Nightmare’s tendrils when he’s not paying attention.

Give me Dream learning about the different meanings behind touch after he breaks out of stone.

Give me Gaster’s who are almost too scared to embrace Sans and Papyrus incase getting out of the void was a dream, and Papyrus accidentally sending him to the floor with his enthusiastic hug.

Give me Undyines randomly carrying their Alphys around.

Give me Frisks who press their forehead onto people (Sans’s back, Papyrus’s thigh, Toriel and Asgore’s arm, Alphy’s side, Undyne hip) and lean on them.

Give me Frisks who randomly lean on people, almost falling over because Chara is a ghost and incapable of being my leaned on.

Give me Dust laying his head on Killer’s lap when Killer gets twitchy, because what’s he gonna do, move Dust?

Give me Error who’s glitching feels kinda like a massage, holding his hands to Nightmare’s back, Horror’s skull, or Geno’s wherever when they get pain.

Give me Ink who uses hand holding like a recalibration test after he goes blank.

Give me hand holding and head pats and hugs and cuddle piles.

All skeletons

I NEED TO KNOW WHICH ONES CAN PURR AND WHAT MAKES THEM PURR

All skeletons can purr, they have the physical capacity to do it. Do they want to though?

Undertale Sans - He usually has a very good control on his purring and it's extremely rare you hear it. One way to make him purr is by petting his head while he's deep asleep. But he's rarely deep asleep and all the other times he might just stare at you in confusion lol.

Undertale Papyrus - Too much praise. It's rare though as Papyrus never lacks praises, but sometimes too many praises are too much and he blushes, purring loudly. He hates it though.

Underswap Sans - It's extremely rare and only when he's so happy he loses complete control of himself. His purr is also very low so it's hard to tell he is purring.

Underswap Papyrus - He's a big purrer and he doesn't hide it. When he's happy, he likes to show it. His purr is not that loud so it's hard to tell when he is, but he is, often.

Underfell Sans - Only in private and when he feels really really safe with his S/O. He doesn't want anyone else to know he can purr, think of his reputation.

Underfell Papyrus - Even though he will act like that never happened, Edge can sometimes purr when you're flirting with him. It's never for long though as he's very self-conscious about it and will do all he can to hide it, including throwing you by the window.

Horrortale Sans - He's not purring, he's making tractor noises. Oak purrs for all sorts of things, very loudly. When he wants attention, when he gets attention, when he's happy when you looked his way for two seconds... He's not hiding it. He purrs so loud that sometimes his brother has to take you to another room to have peace lol.

Horrortale Papyrus - Even though he hates it, his body instinctively mimics his brother's purr sometimes lol. He has no control over it and it makes him curse every time because he doesn't know how to stop it???

Horrorfell Sans - Only when he worried and you start petting him. It helps him to calm down. He's not purring other than that.

Horrorfell Papyrus - When you praise him, it can happen. But he immediately starts to cough to hide it because, duh, of course, he doesn't purr what are you imagining?

Horrorswap Sans - It might happen once or twice when he feels very comfortable, but other than that, he's not purring. He has other ways of showing affection.

Horrorswap Papyrus - That's one of the last sounds he can make without his jaw so he will certainly use it as often as he can. It's his way of saying "I'm fine today". It can be more or less loud with what he's trying to say.

Swapfell Sans - He can sometimes purr in his sleep, but that's his max lol. Don't you ever call him out on this because he will bite you and fight you.

Swapfell Papyrus - He purrs when he's flirty. It makes his voice more cavernous and sexy. Well, he thinks at least. It's not working that much in reality lol.

Fellswap Gold Sans - He can purr but you'll never catch him alive. Maybe one time in a coma, but that's all lol.

Fellswap Gold Papyrus - He has a low purr for long cuddle sessions. It means he feels very safe and happy right now, which is actually not that hard.

Outertale Sans - It can happen when he feels a bit lonely. It helps to soothe himself. Moon has a bit of separation anxiety.

Outertale Papyrus - He's purring to make the children he's looking after sleep for their nap. It's working really well!

Dancetale Sans - Only when he's half asleep on your lap and you pet his head to make him sleep.

Dancetale Papyrus - He purrs rarely, but it can happen once or twice when he's really excited and happy. He's self-conscious about it though and quickly grasps a hold of himself so no one notices.

Dancefell Sans - He doesn't purr often, but not rarely either. He loves having attention and he's favorite things ever is the shower of kisses. He starts to purr hard when it happens.

Dancefell Papyrus - He purrs very rarely, mainly when he's having a very good time.

Farmtale Sans - He can purr. But you'll never catch him alive either. He's a very secretive guy. Maybe after a few years of deep relationships, but it will be a one-time experience.

Farmtale Papyrus - He purrs rarely, he's too shy to assume it. Usually, it happens for ten seconds and then he stops himself and blushes deeply. He might do it longer if he's really comfortable around you.

Mafiatale Sans - He has a spot on his neck that activates the purring. He hides it really well though so good luck to find it.

Mafiatale Papyrus - Nah, he's not going to show you. You can barely see any expression from him in the first place, so a purr? Never.

Mafiafell Sans - He only purrs when he's with his dogs. He loves his dogs. You're not sure if you should be offended or not.

Mafiafell Papyrus - He never purrs except in bed with his S/O while he's... You know.

Ink - He doesn't have enough focus to relax and purr, sorry. His brain is working 200% every second of his life so no time for purring.

Error - He only purrs when he's eating chocolate. He never eats chocolate in front of anyone so chances are you're never hearing him purr.

Disbelief Papyrus - Like Papyrus, intense praising is what send him into purring mode. He's resisting better to your attacks though, so it's harder to get him.

Killer Sans - He's purring when you're praising him. It's not that hard. He likes attention. He likes attention so much he won't let you go before two hours so you can continue praising him.

Dustale Sans - Uh... He purrs randomly, mostly at times he's staring at you intensely without blinking like he's going to hunt you down. It's not cute, it's scary.

I got hit with the vision of Nightmare trying to recruit the DanceTale version of MTT once, only to get his ass beaten because that guy doesn't have enough whimsy to sway with the music.

Imagine in DanceTale people have to engage in a dance battle when triggering a fight. No choice, gotta tango.

Nightmare isn't actual royalty, he never got any training, and he doesn't have a natural inclination for it. He was made to climb trees and he still has the base body of a six yo underneath the goop since Passive died around that time. Buddy is cooked. He doesn't even hear the boss music until it hits him in the face.

Also, for the style of dancing of each member (from a non expert who can only describe the vibes):

Killer probably has something elegant and old style. Ballroom dancing kinda guy. The kind a royal like Chara would have been taught.

Dust has something that doesn't require physical contact. Probably something like breakdancing like og Dance!Sans. It actually would be especially interesting if he was never able to switch styles. He would hate that.

And Horror would have something like Tango, where you're uncomfortably close to your opponent. Specifically because he's a sadistic fuck and he would enjoy making his enemies squirm.

Tbh with dance killer you could have it that when he first starts dancing again it isn’t break dancing because of the fact that 1: he’s not used to it anymore, he hasn’t danced like that for years

2: it like showing how he’s healing and having hints of who he used to be come back but also he is irreversibly changed as a person at the same time

I think dancing isn't something Dance monsters can lose, it's as much a form of magic as it's an actual skill. And while not using that skill for a long time makes it harder to get back into it later it doesn't erase it. Killer's relationship to it might be changed forever but his ability to isn't.

I don't really understand why people are trying so hard to get rid of the breakdancing man I think it's cool ^^ I get wanting something that fits Killer's sort of aloof, elegant? Demeanor though. He could have something like waltz like Dance!tale Chara does (from the Dreemurrs) or Ballet like Frisk/the player, as a second style (Dance monsters can learn secondary styles though they have an innate main one). Probably in his time with Chara and Nightmare (omg me making not a nicemare thing?) it would act as a part of his conditioning, the erasure of his original style and having it replaced with Chara's. Kinda like the hc people have that Chara taught royal manners to him but like dance lol.

Him recovering his ability to breakdance as a symbol of his emancipation <3

Funfacts/Headcanons I've thought about below ^^

Before performing he always has to do that 'looking in the mirror and reassuring yourself'

While signing autographs (a very rare occurrence) he tries to block out his side view with his hoodie so he isn't able to see others looking at him

That's the same reason he dances with his hoodie up

During times where there's way too many people he might lower down his cap too

His shoelaces aren't real shoelaces. It's those slip in type shoes LOL

He's also basically well trained in almost every dance style

He's often seen either performing alongside others (playing the keytar/dancing/singing), or being a backup dancer

It's very hard to catch him performing a solo

Initially he was actually pretty confident, never showing signs of embarrassment, never really easily flustered. (which is why he became an idol in the first place) But after something happened, it lead to his personality now

Backstage, he's actually pretty sociable when there's a small crowd of people

Outside of performing, he actually really enjoys going to karaokes and playing dance dance revolution
