Funfacts/Headcanons I've thought about below ^^

Before performing he always has to do that 'looking in the mirror and reassuring yourself'

While signing autographs (a very rare occurrence) he tries to block out his side view with his hoodie so he isn't able to see others looking at him

That's the same reason he dances with his hoodie up

During times where there's way too many people he might lower down his cap too

His shoelaces aren't real shoelaces. It's those slip in type shoes LOL

He's also basically well trained in almost every dance style

He's often seen either performing alongside others (playing the keytar/dancing/singing), or being a backup dancer

It's very hard to catch him performing a solo

Initially he was actually pretty confident, never showing signs of embarrassment, never really easily flustered. (which is why he became an idol in the first place) But after something happened, it lead to his personality now

Backstage, he's actually pretty sociable when there's a small crowd of people

Outside of performing, he actually really enjoys going to karaokes and playing dance dance revolution

Yes lol here's a long ass nonsense rant under the cut.

The creator of the show has done some really racist shit in the past and hides from criticism behind her queerness, but whenever that's brought up, it's immediately shot down and I'm told to separate the art from the artist.

that being said. here's my critique of the show itself.

but hazbin relies so much on material outside of the show. there's things you're supposed to know from twt and tumblr and other sources to make the show make sense. you can't say the show needs to exist in its bubble away from the creator and then make us dependent on the creator for information about the characters.

for me, it's less about "why is a show bad?" and it's more "what makes a show good?". Frankly, I don't think there's anything in this show to make it good.

First off- the show is ugly. The character designs aren't good and often repetitive (suits. same color palettes, same body shapes, etc) The animation itself isn't good either, unfortunately.

We have to stop pretending alastor isn't a crime to character design. He's so ugly. there's almost nothing redeemable about how he looks.

I thought the show itself had one of the weakest plots I've seen. it felt like the first draft of a 14 year old and tried to fit 5 seasons worth of ideas into 8 episodes, so the pacing was just awful. There's no semblance of time passing or real urgency in most episodes because vivziepop was trying to fit in all 50 of her OCs.

example: There was almost no reason for the V's to be in the show-- and the other overlords for that matter. None of them really do anything other than Valentino, who's just there to make Angel's story stronger in this season.

(not to mention Valentino and Vaggie, the series to latinx characters, fall into some fucked up stereotypes)

We are just told this collection of people is strong and scary, but we never really see WHY. It's a waste of time in a crammed show.

That being said, one of the main characters sir pentious had no real weight as a character and had less screen time than some of the nothing characters. Half of alastors time should have been used building him up, including, I dunno. all of episode three. There's no reason to introduce all of those characters other to give alastor the info that an angel has died, right? He's. The radio demon. he should just have some sort of news ability or connections to get him that info. (also that episode makes it really easy to know who killed the angel. there's no mystery to it.)

There are also so many things that simply don't make sense in the show? They are told almost immediately that their plan will not work, so they go to heaven to be told... the same thing.

Vaggie is amazed that angels can be hurt and killed when she is an angel who was hurt and almost killed. (Vaggie and Charlie have a super weak relationship btw. I think it's so poorly done. In a show about sucking dick and cock, it made me roll my eyes that the lesbians have such a pg relationship. how come everyone else gets to be horny other than the lesbians? Because its harder to fetishize? )

the ending was just. awful. Lucifer won the fight without that much of a struggle. It feels like he could have just done that. whenever.

Im going to get murdered for saying this but the songs aren't good, they just have a killer vocal cast. the backing music sucks every time.

I read ur tags about the new ST masks and honestly, I agree, it's very different (very Slipknot and gore-ish) and right now, the discography and overall vibe doesn't match(like a handful of songs have a true metal quality to it) and unless they're gonna start releasing new stuff the vibes kind of...clash? And so far Vessel is the same, so I'm wondering if the others just wanted to stand out more and were given creative freedom or if everything is going to shift at some point :/ I also think its a bit been there done that (but the simpler black and gold mask I like) the others remind me of the Joker or a Shrunken Head

Thank you for the ask anon! To be honest, I saw 'I read it tags about the new ST mask...' and I panicked thinking I was about to get left-right-goodnighted in an ask, but I'm glad it wasn't so, lol.

Further, I'm glad someone agrees with me. I said what I said in my tags on twt and within the hour I had 20+ people in my replies quote tweeting me saying how I 'wasn't a proper fan for not liking the change', how I 'should leave and stop listening if I was going to be negative', and (my personal favourite because it was so absurd) 'you're so one of the people that found them through TikTok. Good to have a cleanse of the fandom if you were only here because you have a mask kink'.

Even had someone tell me to off myself! Which was, y'know, lovely. I don't have any screenshots because I was just sat there trying to figure out how to reply to them, then saw the one that told me to off myself and just had a little overwhelmed cry and deleted the tweet, in which I then got tagged in a now deleted tweet calling me a pussy. You are so loved my ass.

I deleted it because it made me feel really shit about myself (for obvious reasons), but it made me feel more shit when I woke up the next day seeing people say the same things I did (like hoping it was only a Wembly thing, but considering the amount of detail and effort that's been put into those outfits and masks, I think not), and getting nothing but acceptance and neutrality in the replies. I'm not particularly popular on twt since people are fond of copy and pasting my post about Euclid, not giving credits, blocking me when I ask them to, and when their mutuals see that I'm blocked by them they just have at me for no reason, but I think it says a lot about a fandom if they can go from getting everyone to hold up a three for iii at the concerts out of pure adoration to telling someone to off themselves because they don't like the new designs. (sorry for the rant about twt anon)

I'll repeat what I said in my tags; they feel very out of place to me. Again, maybe it's just the fact I'm used to the balaclavas since I've been around here for a while, so all I've really known is Vessel's custom mask and the collective of balaclavas, but they just don't match. They stick out more than Vessel does, both design and colour pallet wise. Vessel is in full black with white accents and a white, red and gold mask, the Esperas are in full black with white accents and a red mask. And then the guys are there, y'know? Don't get me wrong, the amount of detail and effort that's been put into the designs are amazing, and they definitely have to have given each member creative freedom because each mask and design matches the lad's vibe immaculately (especially iii's), but it doesn't match Sleep Token's vibe as a collective. I like IV's design best because his matches his stage presence and ST's vibe (as you said, the simpler gold and black mask), as well as ii's (minus the hair).

I think maybe the hair on ii's and iii's masks in general are throwing me off lol.

Furthermore, Sleep Token's only full on trad metal songs are Gods from Sundowning and Vore from TMBTE, so I got really surprised when I was basically looking at Slipknot masks curated for Sleep Token. ST are known to genre bend constantly, so maybe we will get new stuff. But, considering they've had the same vibe in their music since 2016, I'd be a bit surprised if their new single/new album was just all trad metal, or at least has a lot of aspects of it, but who knows! Maybe change for them is inevitable.

I think it's well known on this blog that the passing of time and change in literally anything is my mortal enemy so seeing this kind of randomly happen gave me whiplash. I don't think I can love the new designs as much as I loved the old balaclavas, but that doesn't mean I don't like Sleep Token anymore, y'know? All I can really do is apologise for having a non super positive opinion and hope people don't hound me on here for it (which, so far, they haven't, and I appreciate you very much for being really chill about this anon). Give me a week and I'll probably be on the boat of liking them and making analysis posts on all the little details, lol

CAPTAIN SLATE: My sister's FAVORITE character and also her BEST design <3 <3 I ADORE this beautiful moon being and would die for her 🥰 She also made her entire backstory too!! Slate has trauma from an incident that happened when she was in space, so she is very quiet and emotionless.

BISHOP/ASTROLOGER AZURE: They are the same person in the cartoon!? Azure is a chameleon with a split-personality disorder, sometimes she's a stern and stiff bishop and sometimes she's a perky occultist. Either way, she is ADORABLE and good friends with Irratino <3

BLACKSTONE, ESQ.: And back to one of mine, Blackstone is literally like a marshmallow man idk what he is TwT He does shady shit all the time, but is also a nervous wreck. He looks like a Lego guy!!

He meets Captain Slate, Bishop Azure, and Blackstone, Esq.. Azure and Blackstone are worried and potentially violence-filled, but Slate seems to be pretty okay with life and the world.

LOGICO: I HATE THIS ABSTRACT STATUE!!! AZURE: Then stop looking at it.

He looks for clues.

LOGICO: If you didn’t kill this person then why, WHY are you holding a GLASS OF POISONED WINE?? SLATE: I didn’t do it.

Logico figures it out pretty quickly.

LOGICO: AND, you did it in the entry hall! BE-HE-CAUSE THAT’S WHERE HE BODY WAS!! Oh, I am so good! I’m so fantastic! On top of that, BISHOP AZURE had the abstract statue- AZURE: I’m holding it. LOGICO: -and of course that means that BLACKSTONE had the vase! I managed to solve it all by myself with my own two eyebrows! SLATE: I should have stayed in space.

just checked their shop and going by their merch they've already changed roxy's hair+eyes and taken off her scarf, dirk has a whole different head and tavros has his metal legs now (saw some backlash on twt over how he didn't have them before, seems like they are acting according to fan reception there... awesome /s).

do you think they are going to re-do only the alpha kids or everyone else too? from my understanding those four are the only ones that were based on their PQ designs and thus not drawn by HONE/ほね. seems like it'd be really rushed work if they try to replace all other 16 characters in just one month. not to mention disrespectful to the original artist if they try to edit their art just to make, say, terezi for example, chubbier.

also i find it hilariously ironic how not only they mixed up roxy's design with a fan made one, but also that VIZ seemingly hired a japanese artist to make these amazing more canon-like designs before the shitshow that is PQ came out and now they have to rely on these to bring people's interest back.

Guess modern fanbase hates Japanese now. Not surprised with how things are going. But chances are, there is gonna be demand for more changes on other characters. Like having Jane, Aradia, Feferi, and Terezi be fat like in their Pesterquest sprites. It's going to suck and I hate it.

jaemin literally smiles all the time and i thought i was prepared for it since i know it's his thing but nothing prepares you for it. he smiles like sunshine but also like he knows he could kill you?

you know when it's quiet and then all of a sudden this clear, full, bell like note belts out? yeah, that's renjun. all the time.

i actually enjoyed the songs i normally skip (for example my first and last because "oh, you hate happiness" - my friend) more than the songs i was really hyped for (7dream version of hello future)

like if i am being brutally honest, i was a bit worried when i saw the set list because i love hype, high energy, hard hitting music and i'd classify over half of the songs played as chill/vibey/bright and since dream isn't - or better wasn't hahaha - one of my ult groups part of me was nervous about how much i would like the show and if it would be worth paying for the trip and ticket for the few songs i was initially feeling must-see-sadjlakjfklsfj about. but i enjoyed it SO MUCH. it was amazing, i don't regret a thing and i enjoyed every second of it and past me was a big idiot and if you have a chance to go see them, do it. they're so fun and captivating on stage and draw you in with their energy no matter what the beat of the song is.

i really liked the stage design and all the video graphics playing during performances. AND THE LASERS. seriously, so many lasers i felt like i was at a transformers rave

QUIET DOWN?!?!

also you need sturdy bleachers for trigger the fever because they will make you jump and i was worried the seated section would collapse for a moment.

the crowd went apeshit over glitch mode but give us an english version of beatbox and everyone is struggling because what do you mean english? ENGLISH? we are supposed to know english words now?

the most awkward moment of the show was that vcr making us practice the wave because there was no music, no audio, just subtitles going like "hello! starting from the right... let's do a fan light wave! 1... 2... 3... amazing!" (though we really would've needed the practice when mark made us actually do it hahaha, nailed it on the second try tho!)

i went into this concert with no fixed dream bias but like a very definitive top 3 and an idea who it would be and then, out of nowehere... renjun. the least likely, never was on my radar for a bias candidate member. i am still in denial over the fact jeno was there in his poor excuse of a shirt, grinding, and my eyes kept straying. but for real, you cannot overstate the charisma renjun has on stage. he is like a hypnosnake. i am having a crisis.

every individual member made an effort to speak something in german in every single ment they did and i heard it was the same with french in paris and english in london and it was honestly really heart warming

For these Heavens posts, I had reached out to a few people who just never ended up responding. With projects like these, please at least hear them out, you don't have to do it because I know its a huge project but at least tell them you won't be doing it instead of ghosting them. But apart from that little road block, this project was really fun!!

EIICHI OTORI

I have always leaned towards megane characters and Eiichi is no exception. However, it's not often you see idols wearing glasses, and that is something I appreciate about Eiichi's design. His color palette also intrigues me since I love deep shades of blue. His royal blue jacket is very attractive, and the way he pops the collar also makes me go "kya!".  His voice is also very sexy as well and is pleasing to the ear uwu. I love how egoistic he is too. Being incredibly ambitious he has been able to reach amazing heights that surpass other idols. The one thing that seems to make him unique though is that he really gets zealous and overly passionate when it comes to the power of music, so much that it makes him physically tremble. You could get high off that shit literally. His entire being is centered around being an idol, and all the components of him go above and beyond the requirements. It's not just a job for him or something that simply makes an earning or brings satisfaction. It's pretty much everything to him. For that reason he has made it to the top. There is also the component where he's lonely and isolated emotionally that interests me. Despite being a beloved idol, he clearly didn't get the love he needed growing up. Even though he had Eiji I feel as though his nature was more to protect Eiji and shield him from whatever terrors would arise. I admire his ability to come through all of that and pay attention to the things he really cared about. Eiichi can be himself, his strange, sexy self, but also he acknowledges the lonesome darkness within too. I think that component makes him incredibly powerful.

Extra Details:

While appearing to be a bad guy in the anime (at least), Eiichi seemed to be that typical bad boy idol that would steal away Haruka from the main group. The time when he approached Haruka and took her by the chin is a perfect example. How dare this new guy just think he can have his way with our protagonist!  To be honest I liked that aspect about him a bit. While I can't remember my first impression of Eiichi aside from not knowing how to feel about that, he slowly grew on me. He had the appearance of just another selfish idol, demonstrated by swiping the mic away from the announcer at one of his concerts and immediately declaring their foreseen victory. So far that looked rather bland to me, and I was still cheering for STARISH. They really made him out to look like some bad guy who would not play fair and do whatever he could to take the throne (and the girl).  It's not surprising his glasses shine adds to his 'freaky antagonist' vibe that the show seemed to try to give off, but however for me I love the glasses beam, thus having the opposite effect.

And then there is the Next Door episode. Now here's where we got to see more of Eiichi aside from when the HEAVENS Dragon demolished the entire stadium. Aside from kya-ing over the EiichiOtoya content (especially where he goes behind otoya and covers his eyes), I got to see more of him here. It surprised me that someone so cocky and confident was actually the same depressed, lonely person that Otoya was. But it was also evident to me as well that he did care about the effect it had on Otoya as well after he sort-of-well mind broke him. I like how he is ambitious but also still caring, as compared to an antagonist that would stop at nothing to achieve their goal regardless of how much pain they cause.

I also enjoy Eiichi because I feel like I can roleplay him well. Usually for me, roleplay has to achieve some kind of goal since I tend to be business oriented. I think to some degree I'm able to practice being a eboy idol through Eiichi, as I do enjoy charming the fans. It also helps that I can naturally play characters with an inflated ego who enjoy charming people.

July 2019. When Eiichi was first introduced to me via his voice, I hated him from the very beginning. His singing, his appearance, his personality – everything about him made me despise him. It’s funny looking back and seeing how quickly my attitude changed towards him, realising I’d been biased against him because of a friend. Finding more about him, hate turned to interest. It seemed like his life hadn’t been the best. Maybe that was why he acted in such a way? Interest turned to liking him more. Maybe I’d misunderstood him. I’d made the mistake of taking him at surface level.

December 2019. Like was slowly turning to love. More and more, I found myself looking at him instead of my current favourites. I found myself wanting him to actually be a part of Egoistic. Once I started devouring HEAVENS Radio and unveiling his true character, it was shocking how quickly I fell. He truly acted like a father to everyone in his band. Giving them what he never received. Everything was for them to thrive.

2020. With how much I was at home, it only made sense I grew more obsessed. I found Life with Thanks’ translation. “We’re irreplaceable to him,” he tells us, and that made me certain that his heart wasn’t as evil as some people liked to believe. He’s a caretaker, someone who wants everyone to feel like they matter. Even at his own expense. Instead of selfish, he’s selfless.

I related to him more than I have to any character – it was comforting. Seeing someone have no choice but to put on a brave face, even when his confidence was at an all time low. 2020 got a lot harder for me, but when I recovered, Eiichi was like a home to go back to. Time and time again, I’d have to break away, but I’d always be invited back in by that stupid smirk and overexaggerated ego and the warmest heart you could ever find. Every scene I watched with him would make me smile. I’d tease him to myself. I still do.

2021. That brings us to now. I can’t see my love for this one of a kind man dying any time soon. I don’t want it to, either. Just looking at him makes me happy! He’s the type of character with so many facets to his personality that you can keep digging and never reach the end. So, in conclusion, I hope I never stop finding new things out about this wonderful idiot. More than anything, he deserves all the love he gives to others, and I’d love to provide it tenfold.

KIRA SUMERAGI

Many have their reasons to love their favorite characters. As for me, why Kira Sumeragi is my favorite character is because there are several things about him that I can relate myself to and there are a few qualities he has that I like about him. If many do not know about Kira that much, they’d look at who he is. He may look intimidating at first and may not talk much, when in actuality, Kira is a considerate, dependable, and mindful guy. Mainly, he is the type of guy that lets his actions do the explaining. He is a hard worker, as an idol, he looks after his bandmates, HEAVENS, like family. It’s like what Eiichi said in HEAVENS Radio about Kira, “he is HEAVENS’ pride!” Although he may not say much, Kira is very observant of his surroundings and never hesitates in his decisions. The members of HEAVENS understand and acknowledge Kira, knowing that he means well.

You can even tell in his solo music! Although there are only two solo songs for Kira, if you read the lyrics carefully, Kira’s thoughts and feelings are shown. Kira always knew that if he cannot explain his feelings through words, then he’ll let his songs and his actions do it for him for you to see.  Although the anime doesn’t show much of Kira, the only way to get to know him more is through HEAVENS Radio, also drama CDs like Paradise Lost, and other media like LINE Messenger Japan. There’s still much that I’d want to know about him, but as a start, these things are what makes Kira my favorite character for HEAVENS.

Aside from my huge bias towards OnoD the first thing that drew my attention to Kira was his design. Dark haired anime boys with bright eyes have such a vibe and I loved how mysterious he was set up to be in season 2. But the thing that really hooked me a lot was the found family that Heavens became over the progression of the anime.

Particularly since people in the fandom have a bunch of funky headcanons about Kira being the mom friend in the group, which is incredibly wholesome. Kira’s very quiet and reserved but clearly holds a deep caring for his group members and does what he can when needed which is one of the reasons why he became so loveable for me.

Truth be told, I too was one of them. Until I came to love Both Shinomiya and Nagi. Reason?

Research.

Ya see, it is universally agreed upon that the way Nagi was pushing and pulling at Shinomiya's trauma and DID was… Not okay. So I said "yeah okay what an obnoxious kid i dont think ill ever like him lol" especially since I never come to really warm up to people younger than me.

Boy was I wrong.

My heart really sways easily when I go deep into characters, and why they act the way they are. And also because I chose to roleplay as him, but let's not. Speak of that.

Nagi is… Indeed obnoxious, and really has bad manners that are covered up by his cute looks and fame, especially since he's one of the original HEAVENS members, but once you get to really know him.. It makes sense why he's being such a brat. And that is sort of endearing. And knowing how his group is like family to him too, it becomes harder and harder to completely dislike him.

He really is a boss man.

He knows what he wants, and how to get it. He knows how to get people to like him without handing over the tiniest sliver of his weaknesses. He acts in his own way that shapes his personality to suit him, yet still manages to be caring and helpful, even if it's hard to see tenderness and good will through his aggression.

Reading his solo lyrics, listening to the drama CDs, even thinking of headcanons due to lack of lore, it all slowly comes together like a lovely parfait to suddenly make you realize..

her name means ‘gold’, shes half demon/half human, and shes a teenager . she takes after mammon in that shes great at card games and aces anything strategy related, not to mention shes also rly good w numbers ! their demon form wings are identical . she loves reading and playing videogames, and theater is one of her favorite forms of artistic expression . orianna always joins uncles satan and belphie to play pranks on lucifer, but he doesnt have it in him to get mad at her because shes his favorite niece after all … “but lucifer, shes your only niece !” (he doesnt care) . she rly enjoys hanging out w her dad !!! all his crow familiars love her and bring her cute trinkets all the time <3 one of them always perches on her shoulder when she walks to and from rad to make sure shes safe . they like to chat .

she can often be seen walking around with a black wolf with piercing, golden eyes . thats her familiar, plutus ! hes not constantly near her but she can summon him at will and hell always jump in if shes ever in danger; not that anyone would dare harm the avatar of greeds adored daughter . everyone knows better than to get on his bad side - hes the second most powerful demon in the entire realm, after all . orianna and plutus quite literally grew up together: when she was a small kid he was just a pup as well. now hes way bigger than her, though he can alter his appearance to look like a regular sized wolf - thats mostly how he presents himself . him and cerberus dont really get along for reasons unknown to everyone except the two, despite both loving orianna .

i saw you’re post about kingdom and as much as i hate to admit it i actually agree with you,,

i don’t understand the system of the points like ?? i dont stan either sf9 or ikon but for the life of me i cant understand why they scored so low.. allegedly mnet said that the votes are made by judges and the other groups competing on the show but i cant understand why ikon ranked so low.. it was very clear that the other groups enjoyed their performance going as far as saying that they hope ikon ranks high and as for sf9 you can see the passion and improvement of this stage compared to the intro stage...

don’t get me wrong i love stray kids and they did absolutely amazing on their stage however i feel like there was something missing in their stage i just cant put my finger on it... and not to be *that* person but for some reason this performance of stray kids reminded me a lot of oneus’ performance of “be mine” during rtk..

ALSO, i cant comprehend why the fandoms are fighting (this is a call out to people on stan twt) like i thought we agreed that mnet and their management is trash ?? so why ? are ? we ? wasting ? our ? energy ?? mnet WANTS the fandoms to clash because it kinda encourages being competitive

It can’t be based on views because IKON consistently do way better/as good as most of the other groups except SKZ. I like to think that some of us are smarter about this whole competition because this is a deliberate/pre-planned Drama designed by MNET to get more views and revenue. I don’t understand what’s the point in wasting energy in fighting. That’s exactly what they want. 

I don’t watch anything but the individual performance videos (with no reactions/comments edited into it). I don’t understand the points system nor do I care. I also don’t care about the judges opinions. 

I’m a minimalist though. I just want to the talent shine through. I don’t care about props or acrobatics. It’s not a Prop Competition. But that’s just me. People will enjoy Kingdom however they want. 

We know either SKZ or ATEEZ are winning this. I knew that before this even started. I’m not going to be mad about it or anything because they put a high level of effort into all their stages so far but well, I’m still a little sore about Hyunjin and Mingi not being there. There is something missing. You’re not alone in that thought. But considering what both groups have been through, it’s understandable. 

IKON and BTOB ain’t winning shit. We know this too. I’m not mad about it. I just want these guys to have fun. IKON has been through so many survival shows, I highly doubt they’re going to really care about being ranked as losers when their views have been great. The discordance says it all. 

I’ve been an IKON fan since the beginning and they’re never been one for major props/theatrics/acrobatics. It’s just not their style. So if that’s a major criteria in Kingdom, they can expect to rank poorly. 

Anyways. I will look on the bright side of all this. Exposure is good for all their careers. Sympathy votes also counts for a lot haha. I’m not gonna play MNETs game. I’m already a very bitter angry person most of the time so no no MNET, I know your game now bro.

BEST MONDAY EVER!!!

I went to theaters to see the Sonic the Hedgehog movie! It was so awesome and totally fantastic!!! I’ve been waiting for one week for it and now I finally got to see it. 😍😍😍💙💙💙💙💙🦔🦔🦔

This movie means a lot to me since I adored Sonic in the past, and I would love to thank Jeff Fowler for making this wonderful movie to happen and fixing the design of the famous blue hedgehog so that everyone gets a chance to see it! It’s very enjoyable and I love every minute of it!!

Plus, surprises await me in the theater and I saw the Trolls World Tour trailer in the big screen for the first time before the movie starts!! Best experience I ever had!!! (P.S. The TWT trailer I saw was actually the fourth one with Branch dancing with the K-Pop Gang, Rock Poppy and the magic Broppy high-five.)

Well, it looks I’m done with making these posts related to this amazing film ever made. I’ve been posting a lot about Sonic from November 2019 (since the new trailer revealing Sonic’s new look came out) until now, and it’s time for me to move on right now. Ensemble Stars! Event Story - Sincerely! Bitter Chocolate Festival / Chocolate Fes

Apologies for yet another hiatus in between the weeks as I’ve fallen sick a couple of weeks ago and I’m still in the midst in recovering *cough cough* I went to reread this event story during Valentine’s to get a feel of Valentine’s day~

It was actually quite short (8 chapters) compared to the event stories that I’ve been reading nowadays (16 chapters) so I managed to finish reading in between my resting break, and thus here is it! Happy Belated Valentine’s! <3

Anyway as always, the summary of the story can be found below. Translation may not be 100% accurate due to my poor Japanese skills~

Prologue - Chapter 1

One cold morning, Subaru was feeling sleepy on his way to school, as he thought about how he can understand how Ritsu must be feeling about wanting to fall asleep anywhere. But then he knew that if he ever falls asleep in class, Hokuto will get angry at him, and wondered if it’s better if he just took a nap at the sickbay if he begged Sagami Sensei to let him rest there.

Just then he saw “me” and Hokuto walking along the route to school, and wonder whether did Hokuto and “my” relationship has changed from “sending me back home” relationship to “going to school together” relationship. However, he could not think of a good reason why the two of us are going to school together and thus decided to just come and ask us. Turns out the reason is just a very and normal reason, we just met halfway along the route and decided to walk together since it’ll be very awkward to walk separately after saying “good morning” ^^;

Hokuto was amazed that Subaru was up early today though, and asked whether he was coming to school early in preparation for the “Choco Festival”. However, Subaru gave a blank face as he could not remember what is “Choco Festival”. (And so Hokuto gave him a very cold stare… How could he not know of this festival being an idol in the school? XD)

Since “I” wasn’t here at this time of the year last year, “I” had no idea what “Choco Festival” is. Subaru suddenly remembered what is it about and wanted to explain to me about it but the chance got taken away by Hokuto as he volunteered to give an explanation instead XD (It’s cute how Subaru started whining that Hokuto is sneaky and always taking the most “delicious” part - as in able always having the chance to always guide “me” / “send me home” etc? XD) Hokuto retaliated that he can’t trust Subaru is giving a good explanation, seeing how he can completely forget about the whole festival.

Chocolate Festival is a very large event where idol groups all over the country can participate, and in the school, idol groups will sing, perform and give out chocolate on that day to keep the visitors happy.

Even though “I’m” a producer, “I” won’t need to organise and set up the event for this event, as they’ll be handled by the school and student council instead. However, there’s still a very large possibility that “I’ll” be very busy with creating the outfits, goods and most importantly, helping the idols in creating the chocolate.

However, Hokuto is very confident in “my” skills in cooking, as he praised that the honey lemon slices that “I’ve” made last time for Trickstar were very delicious, and were even as good as his grandma’s. Subaru remarked that Hokuto talked about his grandmother all the time, similar to how he himself always bringing up Daikichi - his dog ^^; (Haha these two never shuts up about their grandma and dog XDD)

Anway, it seems that I’ll be supporting the idols in chocolate making. Subaru is looking forward to my help as he’s always more interested in eating it than making it XD Hokuto warned him not to rely on me too much since the most important is the feeling of the idols who are making the chocolate themselves, even if the outside of the chocolate may not look good. He also shared a story of how he tried to make rice based on the teachings of his grandma, and how his grandma said that it’s delicious even when he didn’t do a good job and the rice came out looking abit… not that nice ^^;

After listening to Hokuto’s story, Mao and Makoto suddenly appeared behind them, saying that actually they were there a while ago but could not find a good time to interrupt, seeing that Hokuto is so engrossed in his story about his grandma. Makoto showed up teary faced as he was very touched by Hokuto’s story TWT TWT

(It’s funny but yet so cute that the way that Subaru chooses to comfort Makoto is… a banana? Yes, he literally pushed a banana next to Makoto’s cheek XD What on earth is this boy thinking? XDD)

Talking about the Choco Festival, Makoto is curious about who am I planning on giving my chocolate to. (Hehe~ Why are you so interested, Makoto~? XD) He realised he may be asking too much of a private question though and was so sorry that he immediately kneel down in apology O.O Mao complimented that he kneel very well which Makoto will rather Mao praised his singing or dancing skills instead of his… kneeling skills XD

Thank goodness “I” seems to be neutral to guys who kneel randomly, saying that it really depends on the situation. (If not I would have dislike Makoto already, being a guy who kneel too easily in a situation like that ^^;)

(Look at Mao all hinting Makoto’s feelings towards “me” XD Saying that he’s actually behaving quite close to “me”, seeing that “I” managed to open his heart when he was bad at talking to girls ^////^)

Back onto the chocolate making topic, Hokuto said that Trickstar can’t rely on “me” too much as “I’m” everyone’s producer, and it’ll be better if they can find someone else from other units that are willing to guide them on how to make chocolate. (Since if I ended up supporting all the units on how to make chocolate, I’ll get overwhelmed by all the units =w=“….)

They went through several names (all from Knights though… seems like most of Knights all know to make sweet treats ^^): Sena, who made chocolate for Makoto last year, it tasted great but having Sena saying “ahhh” and trying to force feed him gave Makoto a bad aftertaste… Ritsu, whose candies are delicious, but the designs of them are badly needed to go through a revamp by Sena in order to go on sale since it’s practically required to close one’s eyes to eat it to avoid looking at it =w=“….

In the end, they decided on Arashi, who has “girl power” and thus able to cook and make sweet treats just like a girl ^^; (I’m a girl but I can’t really do these things… guess I don’t have much of a “girl power” when compared to Arashi… Orz)

Chapter 2 - 4

And so Arashi became the lecturer and tutor for the chocolate making class that happened later on, thanks to Mao for contacting him and asking for his help. (Since they’re classmates and gets along fine like that ^^)

Mao felt weird that Arashi said that “as a big sister, I’ll be on the side of the girls in love”, since well… they’re guys, and wonder if they had become “girls in love” the moment they start doing chocolate XD Arashi amended and said he did add an “I’ll also be on the side of the boys in love” after that so it won’t sound so weird? ^^;

Arashi can’t help but to overhear what Mao and Makoto were happily talking about as they were preparing the ingredients and seeing how enthusiastic Makoto is, Arashi wonders if there’s a particular “her” that he wanted to give his chocolate to. That flustered Makoto as he confessed that he just wanted to thank “me” and it’s nothing like “I’m” the particular “her” that Arashi is talking about. (Denying to the full extent but it’s so cute how Makoto got all flustered ^^;)

Mao in the end has to swipe in to rescue Makoto by explaining that Makoto only doesn’t get nervous around “me” as “I’m” a producer, but once he sees “me” as a girl, he gets all nervous again ^^;

Mao was all excited and asking Arashi what chocolate they were making that day, but Arashi asked me to just wait awhile longer as the Ra*bits kids haven’t arrived yet. It’s a lesson for both Trickstar and Ra*bits members that day as the other units aren’t free, and with both of them having a performance live at the first part of the day, it’s been decided that the class will teach them first since the other units can still have a chance to practice at the later part of the day later on.

They went onto talking about how Knights and UNDEAD will be having the same class later on, and Ritsu will be grumbling how terrible it is to be in the same class as his brother, Rei XD

Just then the Ra*bits members all rushed into the kitchen, with Nazuna breathing heavily as he struggled to catch up to Mitsuru’s speed.

(Aww~ Look at how Mitsuru dives into Arashi’s chest when he saw him there. These two really have a cute relationship as Arashi is so happy to have such an adorable junior <3)

Finally, the chocolate making class can finally start! This time, Arashi decided to teach everyone how to make truffle, as he said it’s one of the easier chocolate treats to be made. Makoto was very excited when he realised that the recipe was written by me XD

The class commerce and Subaru was having difficulty getting his truffle in a nice round sphere, where compare to Hokuto who was doing it easily as his hands are cold and thus easy to mould the chocolate with them. Subaru ended up disturbing Hokuto again by touching him with chocolate covered hands (ewww~~ Subaru~~) Hokuto, of course, scolded him and said he’s going to end up dirtying clothes like that ^^;

Seeing Hokuto is so serious, Subaru went off to play with Makoto, by touching his cheek with his (chocolate covered) hands =w=“ That gave Makoto a shock as he asked to knock it off (imagine someone touching your face with chocolate hands suddenly =w=“) Subaru, disappointed that even Makoto is getting serious this time, said that he thought that the two of them are going to debut as Aho-Combi, and thus won’t allow him to drop out this way ^^; (And Makoto got all confused since as much he likes Aho-Combi, really debuting as one is abit… =w=“)

In the end, Mao has to ask all of them to stop fooling around and to learn from the Ra*bits boys, which are doing a really good job. Hajime came and shared with them some of the truffles that he made, which had very sparkling toppings that made Subaru wanted to add some onto his truffles. (But… ultimately got stopped by me since they’re far more advanced bakers~) (I’m terribly afraid that Subaru might end up destroying all the truffles if he did something funny with them ><”)

Even though the Ra*bits’ truffles are coming along smoothly, there’s one guy who is facing trouble with the chocolate he is making - Mitsuru. He ended up burning the chocolate that he was melting and got really frustrated. Tomoya wanted to lend a hand to him but Mitsuru said it’s okay and he can handle it on his own. Tomoya insisted further on and Mitsuru got really defensive and shut him out, making Tomoya shocked as this seems to be the first time he ever sees Mitsuru being so stubborn. Turns out that Mitsuru even rejects Hajime’s help when he approached him earlier on too. Seeing that “I” had seen this scenario, Tomoya requested me to help out Mitsuru as he really seems to need help and will probably open up to me instead, as Mitsuru admires me as much as Nazuna.

“I” went to Mitsuru and asked him about what he’s doing, he got sad knowing that he has made “me”, Tomoya and others worried for him. Mitsuru decided to reveal what he’s making to “me”, on the condition that I keep it a secret from Adonis and Arashi. Mitsuru’s plan was to make chocolate to give to Arashi and Adonis to thank them for all the care they’ve given him for the past year. “I” decided to chip in and help Mitsuru with making the chocolate, and the two of us decided to meet up after class on a day to make them.

However, instead of truffles, we’re going to make nama chocolate, since it’s even easier than truffles so that Mitsuru can even make it as ease~ ^^ “I” showed Mitsuru how to do it once and after that he learnt it and decided to continue doing it, as “I” watched him by the side.

(Mitsuru is so cute when he finished the first step successfully and ask for a praise XD)

The next step was melting of the chocolate, which Mitsuru felt really unsure of as he burnt it the last time. But this time however, he felt more at ease knowing that “I’ll” be next to him looking over him ^^ Mitsuru completed the melting process successfully and we pour the chocolate into the moulds and all that’s left to do is wait for 2 hours for the chocolate to set~ While waiting for the chocolate to set, we decided to have lessons and practices together to pass the time.

Mitsuru bumped into a “wall” in the kitchen and realised that it was Makoto. He explained that he was initially having lunch on the terrace when he saw the two of us heading towards the kitchen. Curiosity got the better of him so he decided to tail behind and see what we are up to. (Makoto…. that’s quite a stalker move actually =w=“ I guess the good thing is that at least he knows that he’s guilty of it? ^^;)

Mitsuru sneakily asked Makoto a question on who is he going to give his chocolate to, making Makoto flustered once again as he gave alot of answers: people who supported them (Trickstar), people who watched their lives etc. Mitsuru just sees it as him being firm and not giving the real answer XD (Kind of amazed that he can be quite observant here XD)

He went onto explain the reason that he’s making chocolate with “me” to Makoto, saying that he’s giving chocolates to Adonis and Arashi. (Look at him “confessing” once again that how much he likes them XD Mitsuru is seriously so adorable here~ *pinches cheek*)

Mitsuru ended up inviting Makoto to come help and do some chocolate tasting when they are set after 2 hours. The two of them exchanged numbers before they departed and Mitsuru and “I” went off to have lessons. Contacting Makoto after two hours, all three of us returned to the kitchen and tasted the completed chocolate. It’s a success as the chocolate was very delicious~! ^^ Now all Mitsuru had to do was to wrap them up and give them to Arashi and Adonis on the day itself.

Chapter 5 - Chapter 6

On Trickstar’s side, Hokuto requested both Makoto and Subaru to come and help them with the wrapping of the chocolates during the practice break, as there’s too many of them that with just him and Mao, it’s impossible to finish wrapping them all before the event the next day.

(Hokuto is cute as he admitted that he’s been relying on his grandma and “me” alot nowadays~ It’s nice to know that he felt safe by my side and thus gradually relied on me.)

Even though Hokuto asked Makoto and Subaru to help out, towards “me” he’s asking “me” to rest instead ^^ He even requested Mao to send “me” home at night later on, as it’s his turn that night. Mao smiled and said that he’s been always sending “me” home frequently to the point that he has become close and friendly with “my” family members already, and even stayed to have dinner with them XD (Future son-in-law? +W+) It’s a good thing for Mao as he gets to have some home cooked food as his parents are usually not at home and let the kids do whatever they want.

Makoto ended up glaring at Mao once he heard about it, as he envies Mao for getting the chance to even have dinner with “me” since he never gets an invitation. (Jealousy?) He wondered what he should do in order to get an invitation: having more of an appeal by showing a face that he wants to eat?, or by bearing himself from eating snacks so that his stomach will growl when he went to my home XD

Then he realised it’s hard for him to even get to know “my” family members as he doesn’t even dare to look at “my” mum in the eye… Makoto vowed to pluck up his courage to start a conversation with “my” family next time~ (Good luck Makoto!)

Chocofes had finally arrived in the day, and it was a busy period for “me” as I had to make the outfits, teaching on how to make chocolates to the units, as well as making goods for the event. On that day it was a really crowded day to the point that they need alot of staff to even control the crowd, seeing that there’s alot of units performing and they’re giving chocolates out.

(Interesting that there’s a system whereby the guests can choose which unit they’ll want to receive their chocolate +W+)

Mao is all fired up as he said that Trickstar will perform to the point that they’ll capture everyone’s hearts so that they’ll feel at ease even if other units perform after them. Subaru just wants to give out all the chocolates which they’ve prepared for the guest's XD (So cute!)

As Trickstar is performing, Tomoya came and watched their performance, and was awed by Trickstar’s charm. Hokuto was performing on stage and realised Tomoya has come to show support, by waving his light stick like a little fan XD Hokuto wished that they’re able to give out all their chocolates, as the worst outcome will be having to either eat the remaining chocolates themselves or having to burn them all. (I felt so sad reading it, burning and destroying all those chocolates? TWT TWT I won’t mind eating one per day for a whole year just to get rid of them seriously +W+)

Mao also noticed Tomoya supporting them, and he thought to himself that as a senior, he should work harder so he won’t show a bad side of him to them. He also noticed “me” watching them, waving a light stick in “my hand”, as “I’ve” finished what “I” was busy with of selling the merchandise.

(This part was heartwarming: Seeing that “I” was always being relied on by others, he wished that “I” would rely on him sometimes, since he would also rely on “me” sometimes too.)

Chapter 6 - Epilogue

Tomoya felt all pumped up after watching Trickstar’s performance and talked to Mitsuru that Ra*bits will need to work hard too to perform like them. But Mitsuru doesn’t seem to be listening and even runs off in the end, leaving a very confused Tomoya.

Mitsuru knew that he shouldn’t run around on the corridor, but today’s a special day as he wanted to find Arashi and Adonis soon before his own live starts. As he was running towards the practice room (since he believed that they might be there performing before the lives), Mitsuru accidentally bumped into Adonis and… ended up stepping on his own chocolate when the paper bag flew out of his hand.

Tomoya came looking for him soon after and he pulled Mitsuru away to prepare for their live show later on, and thus Mitsuru missed his chance to give his chocolate…

After the live shows had ended, Mitsuru was still feeling really down that Tomoya tried to cheer him up but still failed, as he doesn’t know why Mitsuru was having trouble about. Tomoya wished that Mitsuru would rely on him more since they’re friends and not keep his trouble to himself.

Noticing “me” looking worriedly at him, Tomoya knew that he can’t hide anything from “me” and thus revealed what that had happened, and that Mitsuru went all down after the live even though he was all happy and cheerful on stage.

“I” went over to Mitsuru when he was murmuring to himself that he can’t face “me” anymore, and ended scaring him when he realised “I’m” behind him ^^; He revealed to me that his box of chocolates was crushed and thought that it’s impossible to give out his gift now that the box was all crumpled up… He even thought of throwing the chocolate away in the trash bin as he believed that nobody will be happy getting a box of crushed chocolates TWT TWT (So cute yet so sad that Mitsuru is crying at this scene TWT TWT)

Just then Adonis and Arashi came rushing over, as they’ve noticed Mitsuru seems to be having some trouble and came to wish that Mitsuru will discuss any trouble with them.

Mitsuru decided to give his (though now abit crumpled) box of chocolate to Arashi and Adonis. Saying that even though it’s made with “my” help and also even though the box was crushed, Mitsuru shyly asked them to receive his chocolate.

Of course, both of them are happy to receive Mitsuru’s chocolate and even started eating them right away. Arashi even said it’s so delicious to the point they can make his cheeks drop XD (Too exaggerated XD) Mitsuru thanked them once again and confessed once again XD He also sort of “confessed” to “me”, saying that he’s thankful for all the help “I” gave him and also that he likes me just as much as the others as well.

And that wraps up this heartwarming event story~! I remember liking Mitsuru alot after reading this, who knows he can be so cute and adorable~ <3 I also enjoyed reading Mao’s, Makoto’s and Hokuto’s part as well~ Didn’t know Makoto can be jealous and even abit stalkish…. =w=“ Mao definitely sounds like a super good boyfriend material XDD

Most importantly for me when going through this event was enjoying Makoto’s little event scenes, he seems interested in what type of guys “I” would like ^////^

And he was also curious on who “I” was giving “my” chocolate to. Funny that he mentioned that he envies the person who would be receiving it, and turns out he’s the one XD

Mao’s scenes are pretty cute too, he actually ended up gifting “me” a chocolate he made I believe~

Last but not least, it was a super happy time for me to be able to make it to the event points to get Makoto’s 4* card~ I think it was the first time for me to be able to reach it after I’ve luckily get Hajime’s from a live drop on the Christmas carol event~

I really enjoyed Valentine’s outfit this time and ended up putting Tomoya and Makoto on my home screen for a long time~ (Still had Makoto on my home screen currently yet again in celebration of Valentine’s~)

Next up will be the current Valentine’s event story~ I’m looking forward to reading that so will be reading and translating that first~ <3

2016 year review!

Whew, took me a while to get around to this ^^;; I gotta say, the last couple of years have definitely been better.... But this year still included highlights such as travelling to Tasmania and New York for the first time, as well as adopting an adorable cat! More under the cut ☆ ～('▽^人)

I started out 2016 continuing my job as an animator to work in an amazing studio on an amazing project called Prisoner Zero! I got to work with funniest and most talented people I’ve ever met, and god I never wanted it to end. But, as all projects have to end and be completed at some point, production ended in April. 。゜゜(´Ｏ`) ゜゜。

I think one of the biggest highlights of this year was being able to watch something I helped create air on TV all around the nation. The hype leading up to it was so exciting, the early screenings at conventions and people tweeting about it and drawing fanart for it on twitter ... Then when it was being broadcasted, excitedly pointing out my name in the credits, and finally being able to watch the last episodes that I hadn’t even seen completed yet was just unbelievable. I was really a part of something wonderful.

Unfortunately, there wasn’t much marketing at all, so not many people knew about it. Even when I urged all my friends and family to watch it to keep the ratings up, even if they just have it on in the background, everyone seemed to conveniently forget that it was on so it never got enough viewings to warrant a second season. ( ╥ω╥ )

But, it was a crazy experience and I learnt a lot about 2D animation, and I made some lifelong friends too such as the wonderful @crystalleearts!

Since it would be very rare for another job opportunity like this to pop up again, I knew I had to really knuckle down and take conventions much more seriously. I usually only do 1 or 2 conventions a year, but this year I did Sydney and Brisbane Supanova with Crystal, and SMASH and Popcon by myself, so 4 all up! I’m thinking of even adding Melbourne and Gold Coast into the mix in 2017. 

Because of this, I knew I had to expand on my prints. I managed to finish all 9 designs of my Eeveelution girl series so that I could offer a complete set! I also did 8 new print designs all up in time for Sydney Supanova, which is a bit of a record for me. I also tried to expand on what products I offer, other than just prints, so I played around with polymer clay for the first time, making cute mini jar necklaces as well as clay charms. I also learnt to make cabochon pendant necklaces, which sell really well!

I changed my art name from ‘rockcandypassion’ to ‘tessmontyart’, rebranded all my social medias, restocked my etsy store, redesigned my business cards and its been such a refreshing change! 

Also early in the year my adorable partner Pat got me some Prismacolor Pencils, which has now become my favourite traditional medium. On-the-day Prismacolor anime portrait commissions have become my most popular product at conventions! I think I must have done 36 commissions all up just at all the conventions I did this year! (≧▽≦) 

2016 has definitely been the most productive year with my art :)

In April I had the most romantic holiday to Tasmania with my partner. It was our first holiday with just the 2 of us, and the first time we had both ever been to Tasmania. It was an absolutely stunning, gorgeous place, I really want to go there again. I got to see wild Tasmanian devils for the first time too! Here’s a few of my favourite photos:

Then on the 5th of August, I adopted my sweet little boy Charlie! There was a lot of asking and calling and emails and paper work to get permission to own a cat, and I was so happy when we finally got permission that we went straight to the shelter and adopted Charlie! Well, technically he chose us <3

In October I went to America for the first time!! Σ(°ロ°) Mostly New York, it was an amazing and crazy experience and I just want to go again. Might have to introduce them to classic Iced Chocolates next time though ... ^^;; New York included awesome highlights such as visiting the diner used in Seinfeld, seeing the Kinky Boots musical, eating at the Russian High Tea Room, seeing squirrels, exploring central park and eating delicious waffles and bagels!!

The year I finally met an old internet friend I used to chat to over 10 years ago! We both saw the biggest easter egg in our life, which was later smashed to pieces but we didn’t have time to watch it happen lol.

The year the Ratchet and Clank Movie came out, as well as the game based on the movie based on a game. They were both amazingly nostalgic TwT

The year Frank Woodley, dressed up as Shakespeare with a frilly place mat around his neck, a black tape moustache and a combination of ladies underpants and a wig on his head, asked my boyfriend up on stage to play the part of a shop assistant in his mini skit about Shakespeare going to Kmart. 

This year I also did another ‘Draw This Again’ meme xD they’re so much fun I’ve taken tonnes of photos of terrible old art so I can continue to do more!

2016 was the year Pokemon Go came out and literally everyone including me was obsessed, but got over it very quickly..

It was also the year I had an adorable combined birthday with Crystal. We made high tea food and brewed like 10 different types of tea for everyone ^_^ only half the people who said they’d come actually came, but it was still a lovely day <3

I started Inktober but was so busy with my New York Trip I didn’t get to finish it ...:’(

I saw ‘Your Name’ and loved it, it also was the movie that got me back into anime! (I hadn’t watched any anime for like 9 years...the reasons being a combination of; having to pay for every megabyte of internet, being busy, but mostly because of an asshole ex who judged everything I did)

It was also the first time drawing a 9 page digital comic, or just a ‘proper’ comic in general, for that matter. (comics I sent into the neopian times when I was 10 don’t count lol)

It’s also been another year of wonderful valentines days and anniversaries and random dates with the cutest boyfriend in the world ... such things include: so many cute flowers, lots of high tea, an easter egg hunt around the apartment, visits to botanical gardens and delicious french dinners.

Also throughout the whole year, my idol Adam Young released new albums every MONTH full of instrumental scores he has composed to a certain historical story, they’re absolutely spectacular and if you haven’t listened to them I urge you to do so! [Link to beautiful music]

So apart from the fact that Trump was elected, Brexit happened and an alarming number of celebrities died, it wasn’t such a bad year after all :)

I really hope 2017 is a little kinder though!
