ᯓ❅ ┆ synopsis┆ : How does the LADS boys handle themselves in the kitchen?

𝐗𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐫
Xavier in the kitchen was almost a disaster waiting to happen—no exaggeration. He had a knack for forgetting to turn off the stove or neglecting to set a timer, leaving his meals charred and inedible more often than not. While eliminating Wanderers with effortless precision was second nature to him, cooking seemed to be his weakness. Typically, Xavier gravitated toward quick, easy meals—cup noodles, ready-to-eat options—and never fussed over what he ate.
Despite his mishaps, he genuinely put in the effort to learn, committing to recipes and working to improve. With time, practice, and a few burned pans later, he eventually became efficient in the kitchen. Once he mastered the basics, he started preparing large meals, focusing on quantity so you’d never be short of options, making sure you had plenty of your favorites to choose from.

Zayne embodied the perfect image of husband material. Though his job as a Linkon doctor kept him busy with back-to-back surgeries and long hours at the hospital, he never failed to make time for you—especially if you were craving his cooking. Despite his demanding schedule, he made it a priority to prepare meals whenever he came home, often late into the night, just to see your face lit up with each bite.
Zayne was meticulous in the kitchen, his precise nature extending from surgery to the ingredients he handled. Aside from his disdain for carrots, he had an impressive knowledge of different vegetables and how to bring out their natural flavors in every dish. Whether he was baking or cooking, he always followed the recipes to a tee, ensuring every detail was perfect, particularly when trying something new. His care and precision in the kitchen mirrored the way he treated you—attentive, thoughtful, and deeply considerate.

Rafayel may come off as bratty and spoiled, but beneath that exterior, he harbored surprising culinary talent. It wasn’t something he flaunted, considering that most of his meals were either prepared by Thomas, brought or ordered online. But when the mood struck him, Rafayel could whip up a dish with flair, though he often relied on instructions and recipes to guide him. His creativity shined through, however, as he loved experimenting and adding his personal touch to any recipe.
You were always his first taste-tester, the one he’d eagerly present his latest creation to—sometimes a surprisingly delicious innovation, other times an odd combination that left you questioning his choices.
. . ────────────── ❅ ⁺.
𝐒𝐲𝐥𝐮𝐬
Sylus, much like Zayne, could easily be considered husband material, though he typically didn’t need to lift a finger in the kitchen thanks to his personal chef. Yet, when the occasion called for it, Sylus was more than capable of preparing a meal. Confident and knowledgeable, he rarely consulted recipes, instead relying on his sharp memory and expertise.
While patience wasn’t his strong suit, he made an exception when you were involved. If you were there to taste his dish, Sylus would put his full effort into crafting a meal that catered to your palate, making sure each seasoning and flavor hit the right notes. For someone who thrived on power and control, cooking was one of the few activities where he allowed himself to slow down, focusing intently on every detail. After all, he wanted it to be perfect for you.

Code-Switching
super small blurb but this idea came about because of mom on tiktok raising her kid in french and english.
There's nothing better after a long day of work than coming back home to your family. You couldn't want much more in your life than living in the perfect townhouse with your beautiful little girl and handsome husband.
Spencer stayed home today and you can hear jazz music in the living room while you slip off your shoes at the front door. Having a baby is a good look on him, but so is his modified work schedule that allows him to do all his paperwork and consults from home.
You hang your coat on the coat rack. It's not yet warm enough outside to go without one, but the sun is quickly coming.
"Bonjour." You greet Spencer with a kiss as you walk into the kitchen.
He's cooking something that smells amazing, as usual. Although many people wouldn't believe it, his culinary skills are impressive.
"Hi, beautiful." Spencer smiles just seeing you. "How was your day?"
"It was great." You tell him. "Being home is better though."
He nods. "We missed you. Can I get you a drink or do you want to go change?"
"I'm okay." You assure him. "Where's Eloise?"
"She was in the living room." Spencer frowns slightly, looking over the kitchen island counter for the little girl.
Her building blocks are still there but before either of you can start worrying, two hands wrap around your ankle, and a little giggle leaves her lips. "Mamá!"
"Hola, bebé." You cheer, reaching down to scoop her up to rest against your hip in a hug. "Cómo estás?"
"Bien." She replies with a nod.
Before you can press some more Spanish words out of her, Spencer speaks, directing her attention to the dinner cooking. "Excusez-moi. Voulez-vous du riz ou des pâtes avec votre poulet?" He asks her. You can tell his speech is slowed, allowing her to hear each syllable and understand it.
Eloise looks at you instead of her dad. "Quiero pasta, no arroz." Then she looks to Spencer. "S'il vous plaît."
You grin at Spencer, who's matching your excitement. He'd done the bulk of the reading about how to properly raise a baby to speak multiple languages. He speaks French to her, you in Spanish, and everyone else she is around in English. It isn't a perfect system but you've stuck to it. Her level of fluency and words in each language fluctuate, but it's not bad enough to warrant concern.
Until now, she has barely shown any code-switching. Occasionally, she'll throw in English pronouns to Spanish or French sentences, but until now, there haven't been any combinations between Spanish and French.
"Eres una chica inteligente." You tell her with a smile. Eloise can't tell exactly why you're so pleased with her, but she mirrors your expression.
"Très intelligent," Spencer adds, kissing her cheek. He follows her direction, reaching up to grab some pasta to cook for tonight's dinner.
"Smart." Eloise translates the word like it's second nature to her. You suppose it is. And it's a word that describes her to the fullest.

➸ general content: college au, house party shenanigans, kissing, sungie is exactly the smooth man I know he could be if he didn't get flustered every 0.2 secs-
➸ warnings: alcohol consumption
➸ rating: 15+
➸ author’s note: I've literally had this in the drafts for MONTHS sorry for keeping park jisung content from tumblr, that should be a crime punishable by firing squad-
♫ this fic has a soundtrack! it's empty cups by charlie puth put it on pUT IT ON
You don't know what's making you more drunk; the alcohol or the man in front of you.
You've been watching his dark hooded eyes gaze at you this whole conversation, something that should feel casual, but with no one else on the couch, feels more intimate than you would have expected. And try as you might, you can't ignore the deep timbre of his voice, almost reminding you of a siren in how you can barely focus on anything else. Even the loud music of the party seems to fade when your eyes naturally trace the sound to the curve of his mouth, occasionally curling on one side when he catches your eyes wandering lower.
Damn. You don't remember being this much of a lightweight.
“-but enough about my major,” he sighs, rubbing his finger absentmindedly along the trim of the couch, a gesture that definitely should not have your insides twisting into a coil. “I am becoming increasingly curious as to what yours might be.” The tilt of his lips gives away the mock sincerity he's using, a sarcastic stab to the dull nature of collegiate small talk. You fight the urge to grin, feeling like a silly teenage girl. It was only one shot of vodka, what the hell?
“Guess.” An unoriginal response, but he leans back and strokes an imaginary beard, looking to the ceiling as if he was consulting the gods of career choices.
After a moment, he snaps his fingers and points at you.
“Culinary arts?”
“Close. Psychology.”
He bursts out laughing at your blatant lie, and you don't think you've ever heard a sound more disarming.
There is no way it was just vodka in your red solo cup.
“Have you been psychoanalyzing me?” He says with a glint in his eyes as he narrows them.
“I can't help it,” you laugh.
“Tell me.” His voice was so clear despite it being barely above a whisper.
“You just want to know how you're perceived by a stranger, don't you?”
His jaw drops open in awe. “You really are a psych major, huh?” You nod your head and let a laugh slip out again.
“So what have you gathered about me then?” He leans closer again, quieting his voice even more just in case anyone could hear him over the raging bass of the speakers.
“Well for one, you’re quiet,” you begin, and you wait for him to open his mouth(probably to argue that that’s obvious) to continue, “but it’s not because you’re shy. You’re reserved, probably choosing to keep to yourself in public situations because you don’t crave social interaction.”
His tongue pushes the inside of his cheek, fighting a smile, and you have to digest the butterflies in your stomach to keep going.
“And you’re observant, which is pretty common amongst introverted…?” you wait for him to confirm your guess with a nod, “Right. Introverted reserved guys that get caught people watching at parties.”
“I was not!” He argues, scrunching his nose in defiance.
“How’d you know what was in my cup then?”
“Oh that?” He nods his head over to the strawberry blonde that has the kitchen on lock, entertaining practically every girl within earshot of him. “Jaemin makes the same drink for every new girl he meets.”
You raise an eyebrow, unimpressed. “A vodka cranberry?”
“With a splash of lime,” he adds, rolling his eyes. “He insists it elevates the drink.”
“Does he know it’s a house party?"
“Shh, he doesn’t need to know that.”
You’re both laughing, with heads so close that if it weren’t for the decibel levels of the party, you’d be sweating buckets at his proximity.
“You’re good though,” he says, sighing, and when he sees your confused stare he elaborates, “your psychoanalysis, I mean. That was pretty spot on.” You shake your head, waving him off with your free hand.
“That was nothing– I’d rather see you try,” you subtly challenge, raising your cup back to your lips.
“Oh yeah?”
You raise your eyebrows, as if you were daring him to try and figure you out.
He leans back from you, now gazing at you thoughtfully as he crosses his arms across his chest. Immediately you feel warm, clearly unprepared for having this much attention on you, let alone his. Your outfit was nothing unusual for a college party– just a short dress you felt confident in paired with a shrug that matched your sneakers –and you smirk to yourself knowing that the only piece of your personality he could derive from your clothes was well out of sight.
“I think you have a lot of secrets,” he says suddenly, meeting your eyes and leaning in close again. There was a lilt to his voice; was he teasing?
“Doesn’t everyone?” You ask, attempting to get him to elaborate.
“No, you’re probably a vault now that I think about it,” he chuckles, eyes wandering down to your neck as he eyes the locket necklace hanging just above your collarbones. “And assuming you want to go into a career where you help people, you’re always giving advice and listening to others, but don’t bother bothering others with your problems.”
He hit the nail on the head so hard you’re practically drooling.
“Who are you, seriously,” you laugh, feeling ridiculously exposed.
“Park Jisung, creative writing,” he says, swirling his hands and giving a mock bow, and you playfully slap his hand away. “How’s your back?”
“Sorry?”
“Your back. You know, doesn’t it hurt from carrying the weight of your friends’ trauma?”
When was the last time you laughed this much? “Not nearly as much as writer’s block.”
He scoffs, holding a hand against his hoodie and leaning back as if you’ve delivered a fatal blow. Which you probably did, to his ego. “So she plays dirty. I should have seen that coming.”
“Careful, I know how to weaponize words.”
“Well that makes two of us,” he muses, leaning close enough so his voice is clear again. “I’m also good at telling people what they wanna hear.”
“Is that so?” You bend down and leave your solo cup on the floor, no longer interested in its contents. “What do you think I wanna hear then?”
He pauses, probably weighing the risk of voicing his next thought.
“Mmmm…something like how from the moment I saw you at the bar, I knew I couldn’t leave this party without your number,” he says, fighting a smirk as he lifts a hand to his face to hide his bashful expression.
“Oh really,” you laugh, mentally thanking the low light in the room for hiding the blush coloring your cheeks. He wasn’t wrong though, you won’t let him leave without your digits in his phone.
Your gaze flickers down to his pouty lips, hoping he’ll pick up what you’re putting down. ”Anything else?”
“I think…” he says slowly, leaning in just enough so his intentions are clear as day, “you want me to say that I wanna try that vodka cranberry.”
“With lime,” you add, eyelids dropping as his face inches closer to yours. “The lime is essential.”
“Right. Can’t forget that.”
He smiles right when his lips touch yours, and the action has your skin nearly bursting into flames before he finally commits to the kiss.
Pillowy and soft, his kiss is slow and sensual against your lips, and immediately you feel so dizzy that you brace a hand on his shoulder to steady yourself, which unintentionally pulls him closer. The second kiss is deeper as a result, and the buzz in your fingertips is not from the alcohol, you’re sure.
Pulling away with a smile on his lips, Jisung watches your reaction carefully, and you hope that you don't look half as flustered as you feel with his face still close to yours.
“Riddle me this, psych major,” he says, eyes flickering around your face, “can you tell me what I’m thinking right now?”
You don’t even have to think twice; following his gaze was enough of an indication.
Somehow, you find it in yourself to giggle amongst the tension. “You want to get out of here?”
“Well,” he grins, tilting his head towards the door and offering a hand to you, “since you’re asking…”

The pale chef
Astarion x f!Reader
Summary: Astarion attempts to cook for you, but things don’t go as planned.
Word Count: 1,7k
A/N: I got the idea that Astarion naturally struggles with preparing food, so I had to write some fluff about it! Hope you enjoy :)
[ AO3 ]
Astarion stirred the pot in concentration, holding a wooden spoon in his hand and wondering what exactly he was doing here.
This whole endeavour resulted from your constant need to be nice to him, he thought with a sigh – apparently it made him want to be nice as well.
It started the other day when you mentioned how you would kill for a mushroom soup. At first he thought nothing of it, but for some reason the idea stuck to his head, so Astarion decided to roam the forest and gather some mushrooms. Unfortunately it turned out rather quickly that he lacked essential knowledge on the matter, so he had to consult Gale of all people.
Putting his pride aside, he asked through gritted teeth which ones were edible and which to avoid, since he had no desire to poison you by accident. Due to Gale being Gale, the wizard not only lectured him on different kinds of fungi, he had also given a detailed instruction on the soup’s recipe.
Astarion chuckled at the absurdity of the scene. He had never thought that one day he'd voluntarily prepare food for another person – and yet he found himself bending over the hearth and mixing different ingredients, hoping for the best.
He even wore an apron borrowed from said wizard, therefore he was more than glad that his companions had left for a supply run, while you were waiting in your shared tent so he could attempt this little surprise in solitude.
Gale's voice echoed in his mind: Chop the mushrooms, add them to the broth, stir until thickened, season with salt and pepper and sprinkle a few herbs on top – that’s it! Absolutely foolproof, even for someone who prefers to appease their hunger solely with blood.
The mushrooms had been the easiest part. His dexterous fingers cut them into perfectly bite-sized pieces, but Astarion bloody forgot how long the meal should rest on the fire.
Suddenly a burning smell lingered in the air, and he sensed in horror that the soup was boiling over.
“Fuck!” He grabbed the pot with haste and put it away from the heat.
Well, he thought as he gazed at the bubbling mass, that probably meant it was done.
With utmost care not to spill more of his precious loot, he grabbed a ladle and filled a large portion for you. If he already took the effort for such a novelty, you should at least get your belly full.
Astarion slipped out of the apron and made his way back to you. He assumed you were already growing impatient, as this entire affair had consumed far more time than he had anticipated.
“Hello, darling,” he purred when entering your tent, skilfully balancing the bowl in his hand.
“Finally! I thought you'd kept me waiting all night – wait, what's that?” You put the book you were reading aside and eyed the dish in his hands.
“I’m not quite sure myself, but according to Gale's recipe it should resemble a mushroom soup.”
Your eyes lit up. “Hold on – you prepared this for me? You know that’s my favourite, right?”
“I suppose I do.” Astarion offered you the soup with a coy smile. “Although you should remember that I’m not particularly versed in the culinary arts, so it might be best to treat this with caution.”
You took the bowl from his slender fingers. “Hah, let me be the judge of that! Besides, it was about damn time you returned the favour of feeding me for once, hm?”
“I couldn’t try it myself for obvious reasons, but I doubt that this could compete with your delicious blood,” Astarion replied jokingly and sat next to you, curiously watching as you sniffed the soup.
“Smells not bad…” you affirmed while blowing on the steaming broth resting on your spoon. “Now comes the delicate part – the taste test.”
The spoon disappeared in your mouth, and suddenly your face twisted into a grimace. You swallowed hard, a cough forcing its way through your pressed lips.
Astarion couldn’t help but snort over your clumsy attempt to keep the soup inside. “So – I sense I failed you miserably?”
“What? No – I mean, it’s not… terrible,” you stuttered. “It’s… Well – did you let it burn by chance?”
“Maybe.” He dragged out the syllables dramatically and shrugged. “Be honest, my dead heart surely can take it – shall we save this mess for Scratch and the owlbear?”
“Of course not!” you exclaimed with widened eyes. “I’m not hesitant to share, but not something you specially made for me. Also, some things tend to get better once you get used to the flavour, you know.”
Before Astarion could intervene, you put another spoon to your mouth and eagerly gulped it down, followed by a second and a third.
“There’s certainly room for improvement,” you eventually muttered with full cheeks, “but it’s not that bad.”
“I’m afraid you’re a poor liar, my love.” Astarion gently grasped your wrist to prevent you from taking another mouthful. “So please let me stop you right there, before you seriously upset your gut. I’m sure we can get you something more nutritious for the evening.” Then he took the spoon from your hand and put the bowl aside.
“If you insist,” you said with fondness in your eyes while wiping soup from the corner of your mouth. “But honestly – thank you, Astarion. This was… unexpectedly sweet.”
Heat rose to his ears as he rested his hand on your stomach, starting to draw circles. “Well, let's just hope my failed culinary attempt won't kill you tonight.”
“I guess in that case Lae’zel would avenge me, so you’d better start preparing yourself.”
“Mh… You think she’d stake me?” Astarion questioned and continued to caress your belly.
“Who knows what her creativity will lead to in the end. Knowing Lae’zel, she’d probably come up with something worse,” you pondered while tapping your chin. “But I guess you wouldn't let your preferred blood supply die that easily after all, would you?”
“Oh, don't sell yourself so short,” Astarion countered in feigned bewilderment. “You know that you mean way more to me than that.”
“Is that so?”
“Well, you also keep me warm at night, sparing me the coin for a thicker blanket. You know how expensive those things can get.”
You playfully raised an eyebrow, clearly not satisfied with his response. “And if you had to give a genuine answer this time?”
Astarion clicked his tongue and rolled his eyes. “I thought my sentiments were rather obvious by now.”
“And yet I don't seem to tire of hearing your appreciation for me,” you teased.
“Getting greedy now, aren’t we? Fine, you're ... quite decent. Despite your constant need to do something heroic, of course.”
You poked his shoulder and turned away with an exaggerated pout.
Astarion chuckled, before he cleared his throat. “Alright – perhaps you’re more than that.”
He drew you in his arms and breathed against your cheek. “One might also say you're the first person I truly came to care about. Deeply.”
Your lips brushed over his contours, searching for his own until you kissed him tenderly. “See? Wasn’t that hard, was it?”
Astarion rested a peck on your forehead and embraced you closer, a pleasant flutter spreading in his chest.
You were right, he thought as his lips curled into an affectionate smile – with you, everything seemed surprisingly easy these days.
*
The next morning Astarion woke to a rumbling. He opened his eyes and could only make out your silhouette as you hastily rushed outside, leaving the flap of your tent wide open.
“Love, are you alright?” he asked in concern and immediately got up to follow you.
“Don't worry, I’m fine,” you huffed under your breath.
Astarion knelt beside you in the grass and frowned. “Are you sure?”
“I said… it’s alright…” You gagged between your words. “But perhaps the soup… Ugh–”
“Don’t be stubborn,” Astarion said softly, when he noticed that you were still wearing his shirt from the other night. “And for the love of the gods – please be careful not to stain my clothes.”
“That's what you’re most concerned about right now?”
“No, of course not! But – That’s my favourite,” Astarion mumbled while he reached for your hair, smoothing it back over your shoulders.
“FANGS, what did you do to her?!” Karlach’s voice erupted like a thunderstorm from the other side of the camp as she spotted the two of you.
“Nothing – I only prepared some soup for her last night!”
“Shadowheart! Hurry up, we need you – Astarion poisoned our leader!” Karlach was already marching in the cleric's direction.
“What – no!” You both spoke almost simultaneously, causing you to laugh.
“I seem to have a sensible stomach,” you managed to add before retching again.
Astarion turned serious as he rested his hand on your back. “I'm terribly sorry, my love. That wasn’t meant to happen at all.”
You offered a weak smirk. “I know, and I appreciate the thought. Besides, that means your next dish can only improve.”
Astarion gazed at you in disbelief. “You’d consider letting me cook again after this entire debacle? Those mushrooms must have gone to your beautiful head.”
“Well, on second thought–” You couldn't finish your sentence as your stomach’s content finally emptied onto the grass.
Astarion felt a twist at his ribcage seeing you like this. “We’d better make sure I haven’t actually poisoned you, shall we? – SHADOWHEART! Get yourself over here – now!”
“I'M ON MY WAY!” Shadowheart shouted from afar.
“I think the worst is already over–” you began to explain, when another voice cut you off.
“Tsk’va! What is going on?” Lae’zel poked her head from her tent, obviously annoyed by the sudden tumult.
“Please, don’t let her stake me,” Astarion whispered and continued to stroke your back.
“Be glad that I love you, otherwise I’d probably let her get away with it this time,” you replied mischievously.
Astarion’s chest filled with warmth as he grasped for your hand. “My sweet, I truly am.” Then he bowed his head to place a kiss on your hair. “And I love you too. So much in fact, that I might consider forgiving you for ruining my shirt.”
You squeezed his hand and grinned. “Prick.”
Astarion returned your grin before his expression turned soft. “But honestly, I promise I’ll make this up to you.”
Next time he would surprise you with something less nauseating, he thought as his fingers entwined with yours – a safe choice like bringing another stray to your camp, or a nice perfume perhaps.

Soap stared at Daisy in confusion, holding her up like a distant artifact. Meanwhile, Price, donning an apron, attempted culinary feats, with Gaz lazily consulting Wikihow on baby-holding.
"Soap, not like rubbish," Price advised, as Gaz half-heartedly researched.
Soap held her with his hands under her arms, keeping her far away from his own body.
"How else am I supposed to hold her?" Soap pleaded, prompting Gaz to read out the title of the website "'How to hold a baby: 10 Steps (with Pictures)'"
"'Be calm and confident before picking up the baby,'" Gaz recited, causing Soap to panic.
"Well, I'm not calm!" Soap said, as if he had just made a huge mistake.
"Perfect," Gaz deadpanned, clearly unfazed.
"'Support the baby's head with one arm and support its bottom with the other,'" Gaz continued. Soap attempted this, creating an awkward hold on Daisy. "That doesn't look right," Soap confessed.
"Are you serious?" Gaz quipped. "Yes, I-"
"Just pull it closer to your chest!"
"But it's not even listed! And it's not an 'it'!" Soap defended, giving Daisy a reassuring look.
"It's step 3!" Gaz informed. Soap, begrudgingly, adjusted, muttering about Daisy not being an 'it'.
"That's it," Gaz declared, ending the baby holding tutorial at step 3.
"But you said ten steps!"
"I'm too lazy to continue."
"Go fu—"
"THE KITCHEN IS ON FIRE!" Price's yell interrupted, leading to chaos and screaming.
"You had one job," Simon scolded as he returned with you, holding Daisy close to his chest while Price looked remorseful.
"We tried our best!" Soap defended, to which you responded with "Your best is burning our house down?"
Daisy, amidst the chaos, began cooing and giggling. Simon, amused, turned to her "Having fun, aren't you?"
"It's all her fault," Gaz blamed.
"She's a baby!" Simon retorted.

Top 5 Benefits of Drinking Turmeric Milk
Introduction:
In the pursuit of a healthier lifestyle, people are increasingly turning to natural remedies that have been cherished for their medicinal properties for centuries. One such golden elixir gaining popularity is turmeric milk, a traditional beverage that combines the goodness of milk with the powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties of turmeric. In this blog, we'll delve into the top five benefits of incorporating this golden drink into your daily routine and how consulting a professional Dietitian In Delhi, such as Dt. Shreya Katyal from Diets & More can be a game-changer.
1. Anti-Inflammatory Powerhouse:
Turmeric, the vibrant yellow spice that gives curry its distinctive color, contains a potent compound called curcumin. Curcumin is renowned for its anti-inflammatory properties, which can help reduce inflammation in the body. Chronic inflammation is linked to various health issues, including arthritis, heart disease, and even certain cancers. By regularly consuming turmeric milk, you may contribute to managing inflammation and promoting overall well-being.
2. Immune System Boost:
A robust immune system is crucial for warding off infections and illnesses. Turmeric milk is rich in antioxidants and has immune-boosting properties that may enhance your body's defense mechanisms. The combination of turmeric and milk provides essential nutrients like vitamins D and B12, along with minerals like calcium, which are vital for a healthy immune system. Regular consumption may help you stay resilient against common ailments.
3. Joint Health and Arthritis Relief:
For those grappling with joint pain and arthritis, turmeric milk can be a soothing elixir. The anti-inflammatory effects of curcumin may help alleviate pain and stiffness in the joints. Many individuals have reported experiencing relief from arthritis symptoms by incorporating turmeric milk into their daily routine. However, it is advisable to consult a healthcare professional for personalized advice on managing arthritis.
4. Digestive Aid:
Turmeric has been traditionally used to support digestive health. It can stimulate bile production, which aids in the digestion of fats. Turmeric milk, with its anti-inflammatory and soothing properties, may provide relief from digestive issues such as indigestion and bloating. Additionally, the warmth of the milk can have a comforting effect on the digestive system, promoting a sense of relaxation.
5. Better Sleep and Stress Reduction:
The calming properties of turmeric milk extend to the realm of mental well-being. Turmeric has been associated with reduced stress and anxiety levels. When consumed with warm milk, it creates a soothing bedtime drink that may promote relaxation and improve sleep quality. In a world filled with stressors, incorporating turmeric milk into your evening routine could be a natural way to unwind.
Expert Opinion:
We reached out to Dt. Shreya Katyal, a top dietician in Delhi, known for providing online diet consultation at Diets & More. According to Dt. Shreya Katyal, "Turmeric milk is a fantastic addition to a balanced diet. It not only offers a myriad of health benefits but also complements overall nutrition. The combination of turmeric and milk provides essential nutrients that support immune health, joint function, and digestive well-being. It's a versatile and delicious way to promote holistic wellness."
Conclusion
In conclusion, the benefits of drinking turmeric milk extend beyond its delicious taste. From reducing inflammation and supporting joint health to boosting the immune system and promoting better sleep, this golden elixir has rightfully earned its place in the realm of natural remedies. As with any dietary change, it's advisable to seek guidance from healthcare professionals or qualified nutritionists like Dt Shreya Katyal to ensure that it aligns with your individual health needs and goals. Embrace the golden goodness of turmeric milk, and embark on a journey toward holistic well-being.

Yet Another Major Revamp: Semi-Realism Edition + make-your-own toolkit!🥳
🐸 DOWNLOAD: SFS
This is an edit of Phaenoh' Realistic Major to Career Linking BUT with the following BENEFITS:
🌟 NOT REALISTIC... BUT MAXIS-REALISM: this edit made the ideal careers for each major somewhat logical and coherent (consult the table below for the changes) yet respects the internal logic of the game because Maxis' humor is underrated, slacker and criminal are treated as serious career pathways in this game so why not 🤩
🌟 ALL MAJORS BALANCED ⚖️: frustrated with the lack of benefits that some majors offer compared to others? want an easier time being a job-hopper?? what do you mean my skills aren't transferable in this market??? WELL:
All majors are now supporting at least 5 or more careers
Art [6]: Adventurer, Architecture, Artist, Culinary, Gamer, Slacker
Bio [5]: Athletic, Medicine, Natural Sci, Ocean, Science
Drama [6]: Athletic, Dance, Entertainment, Law, Politics, ShowBiz
Econ [5]: Business, Criminal, Music, Politics, Show Biz
History [5]: Adventurer, Artist, Law, Military, Politics
Lit [6]: Artist, Edu, Entertainment, Journalism, Law Enf, Music
Math [6]: Business, Culinary, Edu, Gamer, Natural Sci, Science
Philo [5]: Culinary, Law Enf, Music, Paranormal, Slacker
Physics [5]: Athletic, Dance, Medicine, Ocean, Science
PolSci [5]: Intelligence, Journalism, Law, Military, Politics
Psych [6]: Architecture, Business, Criminal, Edu, Intelligence, Paranormal
All careers are now supported by 2 or more majors, only the Politics career is supported by 4 (cause Maxis' choice was so good I didn't want to touch it!)
8 careers that require degree (only available for graduate): Architecture, Education, Intelligence, Law, Medicine, Nat Sci, Oceanography, Science.
🌟 OTHER INFOS:
🎓 You'll need UNI EP 🎓
Credits: Phaenoh (for the base mod I edited and the tutorial!), SimPE
Conflicts:
mods that lock/unlock degree requirement like Lamare's getUniCareerWithoutEducation
any mods do the same thing (Belladovah's, Phaenoh's & Cyjon's) which you might want to consider shopping around first before picking mine so look below 🛍️🛒👀
also conflicts with lauratje86's but their mod works with default replacement majors so it can't be covered here, check it out though!
note: Cyjon altered some majors' names and skill requirements (he also hates Philosophy methinks), Phaenoh offers a different version that changes which career requires degree (just like mine but ADDED Business), Belladovah offers Education version in which every major benefits the Education career.
📁 MOD RESOURCE: Linking Maxis Majors & Degrees to Maxis Career Toolkit 🥳
🎯 Difficulty: EASY (no modding experience needed)
It's easier to customize own or track which majors your career is linked to with a bunch pre-made templates right???
Download my edited mod as a base & start making edits 📝 Have these templates to easily cross-reference 0x2(2) values you need to change in SimPE following PHAENOH'S TUTORIAL.
The templates will look like the 2 tables you see above, they are available in:
odt (highly recommended, easy to use word doc file with Phaenoh's tutorial included)
md (markdown file)
csv (for both of the tables you see above)
Comparison Table - use to compare your edits to MAXIS original Career By Major Table - work out which major supports your career and calculate 0x2(2) values
4. zip (for SiYuan users to import, highly rec because I used that program to make the tables, it's Notion but ✨uglier and offline✨)

storytime!!! so basically im going through a mini writer's block right now so i started cooking to get my mind off it and now all i can think about is cooking with ino takuma
wc: 0.8k contains: pure fluff and nanami's here too i guess, reader is referred to as girlfriend, modern au author's note: fun fact! so i lost most of this and i had to rewrite all of the parts i lost and when i found out i actually started to cry! but i hope yall like it! inbox open for requests + qna questions + anything and everything
first off, i firmly believe this guy is the most mediocre chef EVER. you cannot convince me otherwise. however!, i will give him his props. he can cook his cute lil suspiciously scrumptious dishes when he has the time but that does not stop him from trying to get better at cooking
once you two started dating, he without a doubt begun brushing up on his skills. he went from being able to make a "banger sandwich" to a "banger le poulet frit et les gaufres" which was just chicken and waffles but he's trying okay!!!
he definitely consulted (begged) head chef nanami, as he called him in this situation, to help with his culinary skills. and i'm not talking regular begged, i'm talking groveling at his feet, begged. and nanami obliged, teaching ino how to cook, starting at the very basics, the importance of mise en place: the practice of organizing and preparing your ingredients and equipment before starting to cook
soon enough, ino's culinary lessons with head chef nanami blossomed. he started from basically nothing and now he's mastered the perfect milk to cereal ratio and a near perfect filet mignon. did he know what that was? no. did he watch nanami make it under the excuse of watching is the best form of learning? yes.
but you have to start somewhere! and you have to give him his tens!! he did light the stove and he preheat the oven. he's practically a chef already! and all that watching definitely paid off
"here, try this recipe with your girlfriend." nanami slid a slip of paper over to ino, tiny, uniform inked words on it. "and here is your copy, good luck." an identical piece of paper was given to ino again but it had handwritten notes like pay attention to the flame and i wouldn't recommend substituting this ingredient, it is very vital for the overall taste of the dish
so here you both were in the kitchen, aprons on and eyes peering at the recipe. "step one," takuma started, tightening his apron like he was about to do some serious work. he lifted up a comically large pot and placed it on the stove, pulling out (and flaunting) the crabs he handpicked from the market right after. "get your pot and your crabs."
"step two," you filled the pot halfway with water, sprinkling in a bit of salt and lighting the fire underneath it. "bring your pot of water to a rapid boil."
"what're you doing babe?" your words were clearly a question though it was one that you could answer simply by looking. "i'm paying attention to the flame." takuma pulled your shoulder flush to his, eyes still watching the blue flame with intent and unwavering focus. "i don't think it's going anywhere but okay."
once the water bubbled up violently, ino threw in the crabs and you went to the bathroom to freshen up. you were humming a sweet song while drying your hands when the all too familiar shrill scream of your boyfriend pierced your ears. "takuma?!" you called out, running to the kitchen, hands an uncomfortable damp. and there he was. takuma had the pot lid propped up as if it were a shield, tears pricking his eyes, "baby...", he called out to you. "the crab... it jumped out of the pot..."
"you bought live crabs...?"
"they weren't moving when i bought them."
"ah."
grabbing some nearby tongs, you placed the crab back into the salted water, "wait..., shouldn't we kill them first?" ino slowly nodded, pulling his phone from his pocket, "let's see... wikihow... how to cook a crab..."
"freeze the crabs?!" your in-sync voices rang through your house, bouncing off the walls. "we're not freezing any crabs." you continued, confusion and sass dripping from your lips. "damn right we're not! but, uh, how're we supposed to kill them then?" gulping at your boyfriend's question, you thought for a bit
tugging at one of the drawers, a collection of knives, given to you both by nanami, were revealed. picking the biggest one up and holding it's handle firm and tightly. "surely we could just," the blade sliced through the air, mimicking the swift movement of killing a crab. takuma shook in his place, "hey, queen, you should, uh, watch where you're swinging that. you might hurt yourself," he came closer to you, fingers squeezing and squishing your cheeks. "and then i would have to nurse my pretty girlfriend back to health!"
slapping his hands away playfully, you sighed, "babe, focus! what're we gonna do? i don't wanna kill the crabs..." ino put his hands on his hips, a triumphant smile on his face, "don't worry, i got this."
long story short, he did not.
"oh my god." the plastic fork slipped from takuma's hands clanking against the matching plastic container of takeout
"what?"
"we didn't do mise en place."
