what are Ezira and AJ like on a long road trip? Which car from their garage would they take? What snacks do they bring? Which one gets pulled over for going eighty in a thirty?

aj and ezira did go on a road trip across california when they were first starting out as a couple! though of course, it would have taken a lot of work to import a car to the states, and so they had a rental. if they could have taken one of their cars, they would have settled on the la ferrari, which could handle the switchbacks of the serria nevada.

maybe someday they will take the road trip that newt and ligur talked about from montpellier to cologne.

the actual reality is that they would take the gti, if they had a choice from their own garage. hypercars are notoriously unreliable. they are not meant for road trips. they aren't really meant to be driven, honestly. replacing brakes on a la ferrari (which is a common maintenance item!!!) costs 40k. the SO works next door to an italian repair shop that exclusively does ferraris, lambos, alfas, and fiats. they have had a lamborghini aventador sitting in the shop for months because it requires a new set of special tires, which they only release every couple of years. so it's just waiting for a random shipment that may or may not come in the next year. the lifespan on hypercars for maintenance items like oil changes and brakes are much much shorter than the average car.

also, where would their luggage go? they will definitely need boot space. crowley's a pain to fly with because he always has extra luggage for stuff: skincare, haircare, nail polish, nail polish remover, extra hats that he will not wear, extra shoes that he will also not wear, but he has them just in case they do the beach or a hike. (and still, he wears his boots.) chargers for his electronics and back up batteries just in case. and weed. road trips are excellent when transporting the goods.

but crowley has no opinion on snacks. thankfully, ezira has all the opinions on snacks. healthy choices such as snacking peppers and carrots and seaweed chips to just cake. lots of biscuits. he has a kettle in the back so they can make periodic petrol stops to boil hot water. and should they stop and pick up more ice for the cooler? just in case? and in the end, they only eat half of it because every four hours, he's on google maps researching local restaurants and cafes for nibbles.

and realistically, neither of them will get pulled over for speeding, but if one of them had to, it'd be crowley. ezira hates driving around civilians. it's much safer to be going 190 on a race track. but average joes are unpredictable. get off your phone! use the indicator (to the beemer, i'm looking at you). oops you missed your exit and are now crossing six lanes of interstate... everybody's out here being lance stroll. ezira absolutely hates it, and if you spend 15 minutes on r/idiotsincars, you will too. there's very little ezira sticks his nose up at, but civilians. *shudders*

but they wouldn't drive over the speed limit, not too much. that's for work. crowley will take it slow through the alps so ezira can take pictures of the clear blue lakes and snow-capped mountains. they'll take turns with the bluetooth, donna summer and pink floyd for crowley, abba and death cab for ezira, and they'll talk about the race season and the spots they want to revisit in america and italy and japan. they'll wonder what ceres has destroyed at marnie and lili's and what the nibling is up to. if she's crawling yet because that means she's almost walking and if she's running they can stick her in a go kart.

but the silence would be good too at night, windows down, one of crowley's feet out the window when it's ezira's turn to drive (less people, more deer, but he will take his chances). and they'll stop on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere between two cities and look up and up and up at the sky, stars twinkling above. and crowley will think about how he's crossed finish lines filled with fireworks, stood on the platform in monza once upon a time when the tifosi flooded the track, sat in the cockpits of wheeled rocketships, unbelievable feats of engineering from mankind, and think nothing could compare to the darkest night in the quiet with his beloved.

it's not about going fast. it's about drawing it out, sitting in the cabin with each other and no one else, as if they could sneak one more minute, one more hour together before they're pulled across the globe in opposite directions. they love it. they love the racing and the adrenaline and the fireworks (but not the jet lag and missed calls and wondering if the other is sleeping ok). they love that feeling of peeling their racing gloves off after hours of sweating and swearing, the long drink of water after a long drive. but. but they love each other more.

SPN Season 8 rewatch thoughts

- Currently my least favorite season (post season 5 I think it goes 7, 6, 8) The plot is at least coherent but I hate Benny and Amelia. Both as characters and their use as devices to cause tension between my boys.

- Even though the plot is coherent it’s pointless bc they don’t even complete the trials!!!! Can demons be cured? We still don’t know!

- We also get information about Cas basically being alive forever and continually having his memory wiped and angel mind control that I don’t remember getting revisited?

- Kevin is the bright spot but he is like GOING THROUGH IT and is basically abandoned

- if the fandom didn’t love Cas when I watched I honestly and am unsure how I’d feel about him he is soooo stupid at the end of this season. And mean to Kevin which is not cool!

- Crowley remains the smartest character. Team Crowley. Abbadon is meh. Does she use that “tell me what you see” thing ever again?

- this season is when Sam became my favorite. Dean is so mean to him at the start of the season and is such a little brat about it.

- Garth/Southern Comfort another bright spot but again Dean is such a dick!

-Charlie/LARP and the Real Girl Another bright spot and Dean is not a dick in this ep!

- I forget if Goodbye Stranger is when Meg actually dies but what a lame way for her to go

- I do like the plot line of Cas hiding out in a chain restaurant to escape angels

- I can’t believe Abbadon comes back because the boys WILLINGLY STITCH HER BACK TOGETHER

- oh I do love Crowley talking about Girls! And calling Sam Marnie to his Hannah!

- Still can’t believe Benny had to die, Sam had to almost die, and the gates of hell were almost closed just for these guys to talk about their feelings! Men!

- the shot of the angels getting cast out is great! I do like that plotline

A Vent

I don't care that it didn't happen on screen. I believe Jack who is God himself brought Crowley back. I find comfort in the theory I have that some fanfiction writers have a sort of clairvoyant knowledge of the many different original and alternate universe iterations of a character. They write the character so well that I can't help but believe they are psychically getting information about what that character and what their different iterations are doing without even realizing it

I would have accepted another actor or actress for Crowley though

1. Even if Mark does it better, it is still CROWLEY's dialogue. Still his phrases. Having more Crowley quotes would mean having more content to analyze and more evidence for my theories and headcanons

2. I really really really doubt the idea that only one actor or actress can pull off a character. I mean you would think only Christina Ricci could pull off Wednesday but then the talented Jenna Ortega enters the chat. The theory is that because Wednesday is a teenager now, she isn't going to be exactly the same as her preteen self. Similarly an alternate universe Crowley may have ended up possessing a different vessel, because his original universe vessel was not living in New York. Or maybe he wants a fresh start and thinks a new vessel will give him that

2a. I have an open mind about new actors and actresses playing a character, because you never know how brilliant they will be

2b. Or if you aren't familiar with Wednesday then what about Meg as Nicki Aycox and Rachel Miner? Both of them captured Meg wonderfully. Imagine if they turned down Rachel Miner just because she isn't Nicki Aycox? Imagine if Meg just stayed off screen and we didn't get "Hi I'm Meg I'm a demon" because they thought only Nicki could be Meg?

Honestly the reason Kipling didn't fit is because he states he was pretending to be Crowley tbh. He made it clear that he would rather not act this way. So you can tell he's faking it. You can sense that he is faking long before he even says he is faking, because your intuition tells you. But there are absolutely actors and actresses out there who could capture Crowley perfectly and not be faking it e.g Marnie or lady!Crowley

I'm angry that the show runners humiliated Mark by not only cutting his even when I lose I win line but also turning his character into Lucifer's pet. Look it's not wrong to play a pet role aka Alfie Allen playing Reek in Game of Thrones but there are certain badass, intelligent characters that do NOT suit that kind of treatment. It doesn't fit them. It discredits their intelligence. It discredits their brilliance. It's like they are wearing something that doesn't fit their character

But after their screw up they could still go some ways in making amends by at least giving us lady Crowley. She killed the role and she is believable as Crowley because Crowley has never once been bothered about referring to himself as "a girl" "Daphne" etc

Plus it would have been iconic for a woman looking character to want to be called King rather than Queen. And iconic that just like in a male presenting body he referred to himself femininely just imagine in a female presenting body she refers to herself masculinely? It would be Crowley being nonbinary as he touches on one gender through his appearance i.e his Mark Sheppard vessel but then touches on his other gender through dialogue. "I'm much more of a Daphne" "Can't blame a girl for trying"

But imagine if he touched on his feminine side by being in a Marnie vessel and then touched on his masculine side through dialogue like "King"

I suppose I could get a pair of cows for Nina and Maggie, but I don't really need nor want cows (I didn't want goats but I needed to finish the collections and no one ever sold baby goat milk so 🙃) any suggestions otherwise? I was thinking maybe blue chickens eventually?

I also decided to see if I could do the community center year 1 (I did!) and complete the collections year 2 (working on it!! Cooking is all that's left!) which has been a really fun challenge after so many years of playing!! Now if I could just get my hands on 1.6 😆
