something i genuinely adore about tadc is how painfully flawed everyone in the circus is. and not in a small way

everyone does SOMETHING that negatively impacts the others. but it makes the fact that you are supposed to sympathize with and really connect with them all the more potent. because its easy to want to put a bunch of characters in a bad situation together and to just have them all be nice to each other and everyone and never make mistakes because theres no reason to hurt each other, and most of them dont TRY to, but the way they cope is so, so realistic for each of their personalities, and it doesnt always mesh with the others, and sometimes it exceeds self destructive and Just Hurts Others, Too

they still generally care about each other and the mistakes they make and the ways they end up hurting each other dont lose their weight but like. it doesnt take away from their humanity and the fact that they are all trying so hard to manage in an awful situation

and the characters seem to have sooome sort of understanding of this too. not fully, because the characters dont tend to be 100% communicative, but when they hurt each other, it often makes EVERYONE uncomfortable. because these are the only people they have. these are their friends. and theyre all coping. but it doesnt change how much it affects them (best illustrated by ragathas lines at the start of ep 2 or gangles 'i love her, but after a while it gets kinda hard to tell how genuine shes actually being'). its not all like this, theres a good amnt of variety, but characters knowing this but not really knowing what to do about it is very painful in an effective way

(i think a subtle example of this is how zooble handles gangles situation in ep 4- they were so genuinely trying to help her because they care. but could tell as the day went on that oh, this is not working at all and its making things worse, and they leave gangle alone- something that very genuinely couldve been the moment she abstracted, because of the mask zooble gave her- and we dont get to have a super blatant explanation of zoobles thoughts on it, but they reach a fairly healthy conclusion about it that helps both of them, and i like that a lot, because on paper zooble could be placed at fault but the narrative doesnt dwell on it excessively, because thats not the point. i dont know if that tangent makes sense but i think about it sometimes. i think zooble wasnt 'to blame' but it was still a mistake, which is a hard balance to strike, and having them help at the end feels extremely effective at rounding it off!!!)

but like. in general its complicated balancing making characters in a bad situation act flawed because it can run the risk of seeming like the story is scolding them or blaming them for the situation theyre in, or like youre expected to not sympathize with them despite it (though the inverse also has complications- if characters in a bad situation never mess up, it feels unrealistic and hard to relate to, and can imply that their innocence is why whats happening to them is bad at all), but the show handles it so well

even the characters who are genuinely trying all try in different ways- some of them have similar outlooks or attitudes towards these thing but theres vital differences for ALL of them- sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. in fact some of the more painful mistakes characters have made in the show have come from them so genuinely trying (like the thing i mentioned w zooble, or basically Everything Ragatha Does, or pomnis first attempt at helping gangle, etc), which hits harder than if every mistake characters made had wholly selfish and cruel goals.

i mean, there is a selfishness to many of the characters' actions but imo not in a way thats not warranted. because all of them are in a horrible setting. its uncomfortable to watch characters be selfish. but it is a natural instinct to survive. its not the foundation of most of their actions, but when it is, its uncomfortable but hard to completely disparage them for in a way that makes you feel kinda conflicted

and like. it hurts to be doing your best and for that to make things worse, but its what happens often in the show. because no one in a bad situation is gonna handle it well. by the very nature of trying to survive something is gonna give, but it makes the themes of the show so much more powerful. that making sure the people around you dont feel unloved, cherishing them and finding meaning with others is no less important just because everyone is fucking up. it complicates things, for sure, but it doesnt make those characters exempt fromt this. theres a reason pomni tells gummigoo that she doesnt want "anyone" to feel like theyre nothing, and that kinger doesnt add ANY quallifiers to making sure people feel wanted and loved (not that i think either of them were thinking SUPER super hard, but it conveys smth from the perspective of the narrative

it gets complicated when you add in jax for sure, since i think on the surface he IS the exception to this concept- none of the characters like him, including pomni or kinger. but i think this is something thats gonna be examined further down the line, bc hes the main complicating factor in this reading of the show, but i feel like thats on purpose. hes universally disliked (and so is caine, in a different way) and his actions arent mistakes. they are him coping. the show has made it clear that he can be a complex person AND also a piece of shit. his actions dont detract from the fact that hes a person and the show reminds us of this. so it makes things so messy, but im genuinely super excited to see how the show examines that. where his character goes is, imo, going to be a massive piece of how this show fleshes out this concept

Putting the nefarious “keep reading” bc is legit blocks of text so if it interest ya go ahead!

In this silly au the idol/model etc is Heiji! Even though peak at his career he doesn’t feel a burn out but is just more for show yknow. So he usually leaves production and stuff to go solo adventures moment like what he calls a disguise is legit a outfit that nobody seen him on and his famous hat but forward cap bc he’ll get recognized point blank if he wasn’t lol…funny enough he still a detective at heart his spark for it is there so the evil insanity is that even when preforming (if a murder happened along those lines he is gonna solve the case while preforming) aka something bad happened and you are on 5 Heiji, so when he’s yknow doing his preforming to look natural he’s actually seeking and figuring out who was the culprit yknow shrugs this happens like not often but it happens!

ANYWAY!!! Shinichi is full blast detective but he’s sooo burn out and have a limited friend pool (Ran & Sonoko) have heard like songs from Heiji bc of Sonoko moment but still going but for famous people my favorite is still Kaitou KID! While shinichi just like, How does this involve the idol Heiji?? Shinichi wouldn’t say but he actually likes his songs n stuff to the point like Ran notice and she does give him a photo card of Heiji (is given in customs holder that Ran did bc Sonoko does have the materials for KID photocard moment of actual KID heist moment lol) bc she kinda notices Shinichi humming his tracks lmao

How they actually meet was accidental encounter of Heiji going out bc with out anyone know where he’s going (he does that a lot) so yayyy eating on a restaurant bc looks interesting ig, shinichi goes to the same place after a hard case just to like chill out n whatever bc he doesn’t feel like cooking at his place and hasn’t actually eaten anything sooo then the iconic part happens Woaygh murder! And unfortunately Heiji is a suspect but he instantly goes around to crack the case!! Shinichi kinda bangs his head against the table because really??? What is this cruel cosmic joke. So he goes and does his thing containing the people ironically he can’t find one of his suspects and they say he’s the probably the one who did it! Ironically hard focusing finding the clues both Heiji and Shinichi clash at each other. Imagine the shojo sparkles, on top of each other and seeing face to face a bit close! And Heiji internally is like woops…while shinichi is like IDOL HATTORI HEIJI???? but he says ain’t you one of the suspects? and Heiji goes I ain’t the murder and just trying to solve the case? After that they team up and like solve it together! Heiji gets woaugh….detective Kudo… while shinichi kinda freaking the hell out like YAYYYYY!!!! He’s a detective and a super good one at it clashing I cannot embarrassed myself in front of him.

They do have trials and tribulations in a sense Heiji did fall for Shinichi and what’s to know him personally and stuff but his career kinda blows for that but that doesn’t stop him from seeking out Kudo whatsoever lmao like Heiji legit appearing where shinichi has his detective agency just yknow say hi while shinichi is like don’t you have a tv appearance or concert you need to be at? Also the photocard holder does get bring up bc Heiji kinda notices at first when he does appear at the agency like he does tease at shinichi for it then insane comment of I can pose for you so you can have more pictures if ya want and shinichi exploding like insta blush like WHATTTT!!!!!

A deeper look at Lysander..

Lysander is based off The Headless Horseman from Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow.

Lysander is uncanny, blunt, and sassy at times. He tends to sound very monotone and uncaring, which pretty much how he feels about most things.

His skin is cold and pale due to his blood not flowing quite right since he was revived, and his eyes are a very light, piercing blue.

Lysander's talking tag is 'unwidowed winship', after his mother.

Lysander has a horse named Thalia, who is pictured at the bottom of this post.

Lysander was born to Widow Winship and The Headless Horseman in 1799, when the events of Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow take place. If you recall that Winship was pregnant when she was murdered, this is a scenario where the baby (Lysander) is saved, and raised by the remaining townsfolk, and the father just so happens to be The Headless Horseman.

Lysander was beheaded for unknown reasons in 1814, and buried with his head. Over 200 years later, in 2021, some children in Sleepy Hollow hear the story of The Headless Horseman, and try to revive him by reuniting him with his severed skull. They accidentally reunite the wrong head with it's body, and revive Lysander instead.

Lysander cannot be killed via beheading, but if his head is severed his body can be controlled by whoever is in possession of it (like his father in the movie).

He came to the school (explained on Vessie's blog) after Vessie wound up in Sleepy Hollow, and he took her back to the school somewhat against her will. The Headmaster decided to keep him, and now he's sort of stuck.

MAIN HEADCANON MASTERLIST

i have at least SOME things that might be different from main bayverse canon! thought it would be good to make a list of it here in my personal headcanons! this will be added to the main PINNED post.

note 1: i have not read the comics. while i have seen the movies, some details may've slipped my mind and i am currently basing my bayverse headcanon solely on a mixture of the movies and personal headcanon! note 2: while these are my headcanons, please note that OBVIOUSLY it depends on the mun im writing with on if theyre comfortable with them! i wont force these headcanons or character dynamics on others-- but it's a general idea of events that made him who he is!!

THERE WILL BE THEMES OF DEATH, WAR, TORTURE, BRAINWASHING, MENTAL HEALTH, DISSOCIATIVE DISORDERS, AND SO ON. PLEASE READ AT YOUR OWN RISK.

first things first-- optimus was a miner. similarly to tfone, his orion days were mainly filled with mining, mining and more mining. it led to a while of yearning for something better-- and it's influenced many of his modern habits such as going for long periods of time without sleeping, an intimate understanding of the many shifting changes of the mines (as Primus's body/Cybertron attempts to heal), how to refine energon and an understanding of rationing said energon. however, if you give him an abundance of food that he can indeed have and does not need to share-- it will be wolfed down. he is not used to eating so much, and is only used to rationing and even then only simple meals.

he was mentored by stormreign, and meets megatron (and some others such as ratchet) through stormreign. during orion's struggles in the mines, he was eventually found and taken in by stormreign (the red knight in the Last Knight movie) to become an aspirant and then a knight of iacon. in order to study important topics such as battling and duels, orion meets megatron, a powerful gladiator who-- at first-- did not like orion and believed him a higher caste bot due to his role as aspirant. however, when orion explained his origins, this led to them bonding, and this is where optimus would have his more brutal fighting style when against several of the decepticons. he ALSO meets ratchet, as knights are expected to have basic medical knowledge, and ratchet was someone suggested due to his amazing medical prowess. this is where optimus has gotten the basic medical equipment that his servo can transform into.

as a knight-aspirant, he becomes an archivist/librarian. this was to encourage his studying, and help him understand not just more of Cybertron's history, but the concepts of art, literature, and many fine arts.

optimus meets MANY of his eventual old friends through the knights as an aspirant, save for Kup, whom he meets as a Prime. obviously, Optimus had a lot of old friends during the war. as a basic explanation: orion meets elita, who helps him with learning how to conduct his job as a new archivist/historian once he becomes a knight-aspirant. orion meets megatron to ask for his tutelage in one-on-one or one-on-group combat. orion meets ratchet in order to study basic medical treatment-- this is to allow for in-the-moment and emergency medical procedures to save someone's life on the battlefield, or to allow for quick tendings so as to heal for a time (however, quick tendings cannot replace proper medical care). orion, once becoming the leader of the Knights of Iacon, had personally requested for the assistance of Ultra Magnus (once requesting for the possibility of tutors) to learn how to properly lead a force as important as the Knights of Iacon. optimus (once made a prime) would eventually meet ironhide and kup in order to learn actual war tactics-- optimus was someone who wanted to understand what was happening on the battlefield, not being a leader that would sit back and watch things happen. he was determined to help his fellow soldiers and as such, he needed to learn how to PROPERLY fight on the field. kup and ironhide were his best choices.

megatron is a fellow knight!! yes indeed! obviously, he did not stay in the knights of iacon for very long-- but, with orion's many pleas to stormreign during the time he'd been training with megatron to understand battle and duels, stormreign eventually allows megatron to join the knights of iacon-- orion wanted megatron to have the chance at a new life, for them to truly be friends and to go on journeys together. obviously, that... didn't last too long.

optimus isnt just a knight-- hes the LEADER of the knights. orion didn't only just become a leader when he became prime. after the death of Stormreign (which happens in my canon and at a much earlier time), orion is deemed his successor and is expected to lead the knights. this catches Sentinel Prime's attention, and leads to Sentinel eventually choosing to take him under his wing and make orion into optimus.

sentinel makes orion into optimus. after orion is made into the leader of the knights of iacon, Sentinel catches notice of orion and, in order to make a political move of keeping the Knights of Iacon in his pocket, takes in a very emotionally-distraught orion that recently lost his mentor/sire-figure. this would be around the time of a rebellion being led by a newly-formed group called the Decepticons... and this would lead to Sentinel making Orion into Optimus, to make him the face of the Primacy and thus gets to leave Optimus to do his work while Sentinel leaves with the Pillars.

sentinel didn't betray optimus once, but THRICE. with stormreign's death-- it wasn't just a matter of sentinel waiting for the right time 'til stormreign eventually died. in order to have power over the knights of iacon through using a grieving orion, sentinel killed stormreign... very similarly to that of how ironhide was killed. with his back turned, and with his familiar blaster that'd turn poor mechs into rust-dust. it was nothing personal for sentinel. it was simply an advantageous move for him. and THEN, when optimus DID become prime? sentinel had used it as a way to make optimus the figurehead of the war that was beginning between Sentinel and the Decepticons, thus allowing optimus to take the fall while Sentinel left with the Pillars.

during the war, optimus was called 'nemesis prime'. yes! i have it to where nemesis always has been an active part of optimus, and not something that he was just named out of the blue. during the war, when it got worse and worse optimus began to take a more cold approach towards his foes over time, acting more like a gladiator than a knight due to his feelings of a need to survive as well as to protect the others around him-- this led to him becoming far more ruthless, brutal, yet efficient on the battlefield. thus, this led to the Decepticons giving him the name of Nemesis Prime, originally out of propaganda against the Autobots. THIS is what is eventually used by Quintessa, who is actively using his past traumas to control him more. this will be talked about more later.

this is a lot for the pre and mid-cybertron war eras! here's some mid-series and post-war!

just like in the Transformers (2007) game, Optimus does not ask for the Allspark to be pushed into his own sparkcore. Instead, he does THIS with it to Megatron while saying 'you left me no choice, brother'.

the matrix is optimus's life support. with optimus having been killed at the hands of megatron and the other decepticons, this obviously led to a... lack of life. lack of spark. you know the deal. however, with the matrix being granted to him and as something that is possibly connected to the allspark/well of sparks/primus himself, it's given optimus a new chance at life, though his spark has a wispy 'cracked' or 'shattered' look to it due to the matrix being plunged into his very sparkcore by sam. depending on his physical state-- if he is left without the matrix, he will die within a few months or weeks if he's lucky, or within a few days if not.

optimus still has his jetwings! hell yeah he does! when revived and given the extra parts through Jetfire's sacrifice, some of this had permanently altered the way optimus would transform, allowing for the possibility of transforming to have wings on his back and thrusters to help him fly through the air. however, as most of these parts had fallen, Optimus couldn't really get them again until he'd rescanned a truck during Age of Extinction and had gotten a fresh glow-up. he does not use them often, and they are TECHNICALLY 'detachable'. he still has the mechanisms for supporting wings within his back, but the 'wing' plates themselves will come from the hauler he sometimes has. the hauler can transform (it is more 'sectioned' with how the plating is than it may look to the human eye, due to it also needing to be disguised). this can form the mighty wings optimus has.

optimus and megatron form a rather rocky truce to take down sentinel together. this is the ONLY thing i know about the comics due to the fact michael bay got pissy mad at it DFKSLDH but... optimus, at megatron's offer of a truce, accepted it without fail. things were getting rough on earth by this point, and optimus could tell that sentinel's shit was gonna make things worse... if they wanted to take down a more wiser fella like Sentinel, they had to work together. so, like old times during their knighthood together, they fight to take on sentinel and kill him once and for all. and while obviously the two would separate after this, it wouldn't be for long, as around this time the CIA would force NEST to become Cemetery Wind/the TRF, and thus begin to hunt down Cybertronians. megatron would be nearly killed in his weakened state by lockdown, who would take him to KSI in order to let them experiment and create their own transformers

sam is dead. you heard that right. for most interactions mid-AOE and onward as well as post-series (obviously save for exceptions based on interactions with other muns), sam was killed. this was during one of optimus's attempts to escape along with some of the remaining Autobots (bumblebee) to reach a place where they could hide. however, as they were attacked, sam was killed in the crossfire by Cemetery Wind. he had his body gently prepared and returned to his family.

optimus doesn't kill attinger. i imagine that optimus, despite EVERYTHING, would not have attinger killed. it was no doubt that cade was in danger, but i imagine optimus certainly could've managed another way to distract attinger or knocking him out through the use of a blast nearby him to send him flying instead of killing him, or using other tricks like his optics that made it look like he could have the goddamn ground crumble beneath people's feet. as seen in the previous movie(s), he could INDEED take on multiple opponents at once.

ALSO, optimus does not instantly leave earth when the battles are over. optimus sees it as HIS fault that cade and tessa lost their homes, despite cade willingly bringing him in and offering to tend to him. so, optimus takes this time to find them new homes (and help tessa into college somehow) while also ensuring their safety. this is when he eventually gets to help cade with reaching the junkyard and having it be a safe place for bots. he does everything he can to at least make sure everyone is safe enough before he leaves. and even THEN, optimus communicates what he plans on doing: finding their creator, the one who killed so many just to get Optimus back. and deal with whoever this creator might be. and while he does know bumblebee may struggle with the leadership role due to the behavior Drift showed with him-- optimus will do EVERYTHING to give him the confidence to lead, and shows him that he really can be an amazing leader.

due to different timezones and orbital cycles on planets, Optimus was tortured for far longer than what was seen on-screen. cybertron and earth have different orbital cycles, different timezones, and different ways of measuring time. this means that optimus was tortured for longer than what was possibly seen in the movie by Quintessa-- he could've arrived to Cybertron far earlier than expected, and thus tortured for longer than expected. and she certainly did a lot if OPTIMUS PRIME had his will broken and thus forcibly controlled by Quintessa. this has left Optimus deeply traumatized, afraid of intimacy if it is not with someone he's known for ages (i.e, Kup, Ratchet, Ironhide, or any others, as well as Cade), and often has night terrors.

NEMESIS PART I: despite Nemesis being rather cruel, he is still Optimus at spark. obviously, there's major differences, like Nemesis actively threatening to kill humans, going out of his way to get the Staff to let earth be harvested, and striking down his fellow knights (as well as fighting Bumblebee). HOWEVER, i imagine Nemesis is someone who will not actively fight if people do not get in his way. he is not actively hostile to fellow Cybertronians-- after all, his goal is to revitalize Cybertron and kill Unicron. if humans are not actively trying to attack him, kill him, or get in his way with retrieving the staff, they are spared.

NEMESIS PART II: Nemesis Prime is a result of an identity disorder for protecting himself from his trauma. nemesis is not some 'evil part' of Optimus Prime, but is actually Optimus mentally and emotionally retreating to a point in time during the War on Cybertron, where he took a far more cold and ruthless approach against his enemies and became far more distant and brutal-- it is a separate identity formed from his experiences during the war. he is intense. he is determined to push people away. it is a means of protecting himself and focusing solely on survival. it could be something akin to some sort of dissociative identity disorder. he threatens because he is afraid... but does not actually want to hurt anyone. it is simply because when Nemesis usually fronts, it is to protect Optimus's psyche-- if you are kind to him, he is confused by it (but will, inevitably, return the kindness... in his own way). Optimus will not remember what he did as Nemesis Prime unless he is told.

as of current, Optimus blames himself for EVERYTHING that happened on Cybertron. it does not matter if Megatron himself started the war or if Sentinel Prime forcibly put Optimus into the role of Prime to make him the face of said war. Optimus blames himself for the actions taken-- for the Allspark, for fighting against the Fallen, for fighting and killing Sentinel, for 'allowing himself' (being tortured and broken) to be brainwashed by Quintessa, and for ultimately stopping Earth from being harvested multiple times... as well as for what happened to the Autobots.

he is also attempting to rebuild the commandeered knight ship from Age of Extinction. yes, the ship that Lockdown himself commandeered-- Optimus has retaken it (somehow, probably through a BUNCH of work). considering it held Optimus's very sword within it (as well as his reaction to seeing what Lockdown had done to it, AND Lockdown mentioning his fellow knights), it is safe to say it was once a ship used by the Knights of Iacon. Optimus is attempting to have it fixed in order to eventually leave Earth to try to somehow revitalize Cybertron or find a new planet to call home, all to protect his fellow Autobots. however... that doesn't mean he'll just leave forever. ESPECIALLY considering Cybertron is in place of Earth's moon now.

IMMEDIATELY before this he gave a whole miserable speech at the graveyard about how much he misses the kids and how he wants them to come home. He was grieving so hard it started to rain. He cried while he sang to them. It was the perfect end to 5 days of grieving- and then he does this.

and the rain isnt about grief anymore- the thunder isnt a peaceful background to a heartbreaking scene. It is rage. the whole context changes. The storm raged on while he grieved like he raged during the Everything Else that happened (“there are a lot of federation workers on today. I need to interrogate them about some things” he said while he was following forever ALONE to distract him. he knew forever was fucked up and about to put more marriage pressure on him and for anyone else that would have been Terrifying. how could you focus on anything but that? but. bad was thinking about tormenting more federation workers)

i just!!!! its so good. its SO good its so scary its so good. bad hasnt accepted the loss of his children but he has accepted how far he will go to get them back. (he will do anything)

PERSONALITY

Eliott is, first and foremost, good at finding the good side in almost every situation. His family treating him like a servant? Well, at least he's gaining a lot of skills that may be useful to him in adult life! His step-brother is fighting with him again? Maybe he can use their fights as an inspiration for dialogue in his next fanfic! Hope is the only thing he has, and he holds onto it as tightly as he can.

At home, where making himself be too noticed would probably do him more harm than good, Eliott is quiet and obedient ― he knows when to put his head down and bite his tongue, keeping the complaining to himself, and when to exit the scene. Away from home, though, he transforms completely. He's cheerful and full of energy. Even if he can sometimes be a bit awkward when talking to others, he's still very friendly (sometimes to the point of not knowing when to stop talking) and loves meeting new people. To make up for having to be quiet and calm at home, he often indulges in a bit of harmless chaos. He jokes around a lot, tends to pull little harmless pranks on people, and is not above a little rule breaking if he knows he won't get into too much trouble for it.

Amongst other Royal Sword Academy he has a reputation of being always willing to help others, though Eliott himself is not exactly proud of it ― he's not sure how much of it is the natural goodness of his heart, and how much is just a habit of agreeing to other people's demands without even thinking.

A dreamer at heart; he spends most of his time fantasising about the life he will lead once he moves out of his house or, better yet, completely strange worlds. Often times, he gets lost in his own fantasies, making him seem a little airheaded.

Signature Spell -> A Dream, A Wish ; It allows him to bring to life things he had written about, within certain limitations. For the thing to came out looking good and actually function as intended, he needs to describe it in as much detail as possible, and the bigger, more complicated the thing, the more magic it requires. Most of the things disappear after a some amount of time.

BACKSTORY

A leftover child ― that's what Eliott calls himself, usually when trying to make a joke about his situation. He never knew his mother; she died in childbirth. His father, trying to give his son a good life, remarried quickly, not noticing that his new wife seemed to be more concerned with his money than his son.

After Eliott's father died too while Eliott was still a young boy, his step-mother sold their house and their family moved into a more prestigious part of the town. His step-mother didn't hold too much affection for the son of her late husband, either leaving Eliott to take care of himself, or pushing him around to do whatever needed to be done at the house, and clearly favouring her biological child.

Growing up, Eliott quickly found ways to escape his situation. Sometimes ― quite literary, as he would start to spend more and more time at his friends' houses, his absence often unnoticed by his step-mother. Other times, he would escape into the world of fiction, devouring one tv show after another or, even better yet, discussing his favorite shows with people online.

RELATIONSHIPS

Grace Celestique [OC] ― Eliott's vice-housewarden and his senior, they basically adopted Eliott the moment they saw him. Eliot can see that despite Grace's usual silliness, they can often be pretty mature and he trusts them with helping him run the dorm well. He often comes to Grace for advice, and even without that, the two of them hang out a lot ― they simply compliment each other's chaotic energy quite well. Duncan Lawerence [OC] ― Eliott's freshman year roommate. At first Eliott was afraid that the two of them wouldn't get along, considering how cold and aloof Duncan was acting. Luckily, the two of them quickly bonded over their favorite tv show and now not only is Duncan a part of Eliott's closest friend group, the two of them have also co-authored a few fanfiction together. Allan Embers [OC] ― Eliott's younger step-brother. To say that the two of them never got along would be an understatement. Eliott was always jealous of Allan getting all the attention and support, while Allan, being the spoiled child, would often treat Eliott horribly just for the sake of it. Growing up, the two of them would either constantly fight or ignore each other for days. Now, with Eliott going to RSA and Allan going to NRC, their relationship seems more strained than ever. They simply don't talk to eachother at all, and during every interschool event, Allan seems to be avoiding his brother like the plague. Eliott isn't sure why Allan suddenly stopped picking on him and started to just ignore him the whole time, but he chooses to think of it as a blessing. That way, he can have some peace. Trey Clover ― Growing up in the same neighbourgood, the two of them quickly became friends. Not only did they spend hours playing together, Eliott would spend most of his free time at the Clover's house, adoring the atmosphere there. He very much sees Trey as an older brother figure, and even if they can't spend as much time together now, they still keep in contact and meet up as often, as they can. Che'nya ― The two of them are childhood friends as well, and they grew even closer after they both got into RSA and if Eliott is not spending time with the friends from his dorm, he's usually always with Che'nya. Separately, Eliott is almost a model student, but together with Che'nya, they're the staff's biggest headache, as Che'nya often happily enables Eliott's mischief seeking behaviours. ♡ Riddle Rosehearts ― They're both childhood friends and neighbours, as the new house Eliott's family moved into was next to the Rosehearts' house, with the windows to the boys' bedrooms being opposite eachother. Eliott would often see Riddle through the window and grew curious about the boy, readily taking the first chance to befriend him. Despite how different their temperaments were, they quickly grew close ― when they couldn't see each other anymore, they would exchange letters through their windows. Eliott didn't understand why after some time their friendship suddenly stopped altogether, with Riddle ignoring his letters, but he assumed he must have done something to make the boy upset. He missed his friend, but there was nothing he could've done about it, and with enough of his own problems, he didn't have the time to dwell on it. They only rekindled their friendship after Riddle's overblot; they slowly learn how to be friends again, often meeting up on the weekends or after school, if Riddle has the time.

TRIVIA

he's the housewarden of Cendrea. he took the position at the beginning of his sophomore year, after being chosen by a popular vote by his dorm mates at the end of the previous school year

Eliott is a passionate ― and a quite prolific ― fanfiction writer. he specialises in writing long-winded modern AUs for fantasy shows that may be bittersweet, but still always have a happy ending. he's not particularly shy about this interest of his and will happily show his works to whoever asks about it

his dream career is becoming a children's books author

while he is good at doing all the various house chores, he doesn't especially enjoy them

not only does he feed the mice living in his house, he also gives them names and talks to them as if they are his friends ― he's been doing it since he was a child

he has an old shoebox that he keeps under his desk, full of the rocks he collected on his walks

he doesn't like eggs because when he was younger, he often had to cook for himself and eggs were the easiest thing he could cook in different ways, so now he says after eating them so often, he got bored of them

I'm a LOUD AND PROUD HUFFLEPUFF! BADGERS UNITE! Seriously, literally every test I have ever taken, Pottermore or otherwise, good and bad, has put me in Hufflepuff. I am so agressively Puff it's not even funny. My secondary house is Ravenclaw, and my Ilvermorny house is (probably) Pukwudgie.

I put waaaaayyyyy too much in my tags, seriously (siriusly. Heh). Check the tags of any post I put tags on, and you will find at least half of them are disorganized rambling.

I currently cannot pick a favorite marauder. I love them all too much. My favorite HP character is probably Ginny Weasley.

I am very much a book fan, not a movie fan. I've read all the books at least 5 times, but have read the Sorceror's Stone and The Prisoner of Azkaban more times than I can count. I have watched the first 3 movies all the way through once and have only seen the later movies in bits and pieces. I don't hate them, but they're not my favorites.

In case you didn't catch it in that last paragraph, I'm American, and nothing I write will be Britpicked. Sorry.

I love Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, but I don't watch them on official platforms because JKR sucks. I don't have a favorite character; Newt, Tina, Queenie, and Jacob are all favorites.

While I loved Harry Potter as a kid and have a deep emotional attachment to it, it is a children's book with a LOT of worldbuilding and story issues. I like to use the world and magic as a sandbox to play in, less as a strict rule.

I don't really care too hard on ships. My aroace ass honestly says "the less you focus on it the better," but if you write it well, any dynamic can be good. That said, my usual likes are as follows:

Marauders: wolfstar (I'm basic trash), jily (again, basic trash), peter thinks everyone is hot but never gets to seriously date anyone r.i.p., marlene mckinnon/mary macdonald (although marlene has a fat crush on Dorcas Meadowes that never really goes away), Dorcas Meadowes/Pandora Lovegood, and optional Rosekiller but I get sad if we spend too much time with the Slytherins.

HP: Ron/Hermoine, Ginny/Harry if you like or Ginny/Luna if you don't, Perciver, dislike Tonks/Lupin but I don't care that much, and I really really don't give a shit about anyone else.

I hate muggle AUs with a burning passion (no shame if you like them, just not my cup of tea), but I do like it when we get to let the wizards use muggle tech and in general be more integrated into the muggle world.

Peter Pettigrew is a marauder and I will DIE on this hill. I will defend this slimy turncoat disaster rat man to the end of my life. Please fight me, I'm excited.
