I've come to the conclusion that loving young royals doesn't mean I can't be critical about it, maybe especially bc I love the show so much I have such strong feelings about it, good and bad and I can love parts of canon and agree with it and appreciate it but I don't have to love it all. I have accepted that it's okay if I don't accept the ending and I don't have to force myself to support it. It's okay to not agree with all of canon and it's okay to not side with all of the creators' intentions/views. Loving a show doesn't mean you have to take everything the writers say on face value and that's the only version that is allowed to exist. Canon isn't everything and fandom is about curating your own experience that makes you happy and not miserable. You don't have to dismiss canon in every aspect and ignore it entirely, that's certainly not what I want but there is a fine line between being canon respectful, allowing some parts to exist and sometimes, yes, you just have to say "fuck canon" and move on for your own sanity and wellbeing

#yrtalk #young royals #personal #especically in the first two weeks of a new release everyone is feelings lots of intense emotions ranging from ecstatic to angry #everything in between is a part of it and i know i'm also feeling very strongly about it right now #i always try to stay levelheaded and rational and see things from an objective pov and be diplomatic about discourse #i don't want any of what i say drift off too much into meaningless hate instead of the constructive criticism it's supposed to be #but when you feel so strongly about something and sometimes you really just wanna say yeah i fucking hate it lol #but i always try to explain why and give understandable arguments and not just blindly hate on something #for example - I'm aware there are fans who have some problems with s2 and don't love the season whereas i do and it's my fave #and there is a difference between expressing some criticism and justified concerns which you can understand where it comes from #and those who are just like 'oh it's a horrible season. it was so shitty and we should get rid of it' which is dumb hate and just not true #and i can't support people like that and take them seriously #i can have my own issues with s3 from a subjective pov which can also include some justified criticism as well #but also still acknowledge it as a truly good piece of tv media and the quality is top notch #and that's why you have such high expectations and have critique because it is so good and sets such a high standard #with that being said i understand ppl not wanting to see any critic about it if they are riding the high of happy wilmon endgame #but that doesn't mean that i can't express my own opinions on my own blog and i will continue to do so #and maybe one day i will feel differently and accept or even like the ending who knows #but it doesn't have to happen. it's fine if it does but it's also fine if it doesn't

#moreso an issue with work training than at the dmv thank god.#not at all an issue w my permit test but some of the training websites i visited last night idkkkk ....#v #all the training websites that implied you should Always turn on your highbeams in construction areas #then i googled it and got one lawyer who said you shouldn't put them on to not blind the workers #and another lawyer saying to only put them on at night in construction zones ??#neither of the drivers i asked about this had a concrete answer on this . i will personally try not to blind construction workers.#one of the websites i visited used an example of 16-17 year olds in the year of 2008 though so one might not expect perfect quality there.

#this type of shoe is a calceus btw #it is slightly baffling to me how these are actually constructed byt. thats part of the fun of it #it also made me realize i hadnt looked at them closely enough before to draw them accurately. i didnt notice the little ties....#also what the hell kind of material are they made of thats soft enough to show the outline of the toes through it???#felt maybe???#they look so soft&floppy on the top side its kind of dubiously practical but they do seem to have some kind of harder sole at least #one statue that shows the shoes in their entirety instead of being hidden by fabric is the aulus metellus/orator bronze but i cant find a #high enough quality image of it to get a detailed look</3

My cat tree needed some new posts so in addition to doing that I cleaned and recovered it over the weekend and Theda was so mad the whole time.

All of my cats were confused, but Theda was mad. I stole her cat tree!! Mother is evil!!!!!! Every time I added a new layer she had to climb on it, regardless of it was screwed down yet.

She’s finally at peace again. In time I may be forgiven.

#theda bara true millennial kitten #I had one basket and the cats were obsessed with it #so I decided to buy a second when I ordered more posts #then I discovered the first basket was like #horrifically filthy on the inside #soooo now they once again have just one basket #I did keep the metal structure in case I get super ambitious and decide to try and make my own basket #I basically know how it’s constructed but whether my sewing machines can do it is another question #I bought four yards of fleece assuming it would be overkill #but honestly? this was more or less the correct amount of kill #I have some leftover but not that much #I love that this cat tree manufacturer sells replacement parts #tbh not that much cheaper to buy five posts compared to buying a new tree #but so so so much less waste #and this is a good quality tree
