This year I had the pleasure of being part of this amazing event, THAUC 2024! And now it's time for reveals!

The wonderful creators of Thauc proposed us three different prompts but my partner @luthiendraws and I were really interested in one theme in particular:

Bilbo's deeds on the quest have garnered him attention from eligible sutures and Thorin is trying to handle his jealousy with grace.

While I worked on the first part of the lineart, the amazing @luthiendraws made the other, then we switched for the colouring phase!

I had so much fun in the making of this comic, having the chance to exchange ideas and create something together was a blast. I loved every step of the journey ;-)

See you next year hopefully!

Common Deer Dreams

Weird Fucked Up Human encountered on the road

You show up to the communal grazespot and everyone has antlers. They stare at you with disapproval: You forgot mating season started today and didn't grow yours.

You're bounding through the forest trying to say hello to all your friends but they keep running away. You pass by a small pond and something feels off. You look at your reflection and a wolf stares back.

You're happily grazing in the woods when you hear a rustle. You try to bound away but you're stuck. You look down and your hooves have sunk into the ground. Your head starts to feel heavier and heavier and a shadow grows across the ground but you can't see above you. You look back down and the world seems... smaller you look to your legs -oh no they've grown together you're... you're turning into a tree!

Exploring, you suddenly find yourself outside of the woods, in a field of oddly low grass. You look around and see two Cars in the misty distance. You freeze. Suddenly, three small cars drive out around the back wheel of one of the big cars, which bends down and snuggles them. You've found the fabled Automotive Breeding-grounds!

You're munching some leaves from a bush when it suddenly yelps and a rifle drops out of it. You just begin to see blood pooling out from beneath its lowest branches as you leap away.

You're running and something's chasing you you dont dare look back but you know it's getting closer and you're getting tired

Oh Shit look at all these berries!

You encounter a human in the woods and, rather than stopping and staring at you, it approaches you casually, talking. You cant understand the noises it's making but you CAN understand what it means. It thinks you're being silly. It tells you to get out of that nonsense and it'll take you to town. Hell no it's not taking you anywhere least of all TOWN you back away preparing to run but the human keeps coming and talking. You're about to leap when it reaches out, quicker than natural, and grabs your hooves. They pop right off. You look down and see hands.

You're nibbling on some lichen on a tree root and it's the best thing you've ever tasted.

you meet a deer and somehow they chirp perfectly but the things they tell you are incomprehensible

you're flying as hard as you can but you stay stuck in the same spot

every time you've nearly caught a tasty bug a cooler bird swoops in and steals it and it Keeps Happening

you're back in your parents nest except it looks different but you can tell it's supposed to be your parents nest

it's time to do a sexy dance for your crush but you forgot all the moves and also you have no feet

walking like a human (symbolizes freedom)

you're back in bird high school and you can't remember your seed locker combination
