Entitled: Sweet Time (my high-school story)

an AU in which Jin-woo unexpectedly transfers into a school where all Korean S-Rank hunters are there.

Choi Jong-in is the president in the student council. Cha Hae-in is the vice president. Bonus: the two are fiercely competitive at each other in terms of academics.

Baek Yoon-ho is a captain at the basketball team.

Go Gunhee runs the school. Woo Jin-chul is the supervisor.

Min Byung-gyu shows Jin-woo around.

Lim Tae-gyu often sleeps in class, yet still gets his answers correct.

Ma Dong-wook acts tough when he first met Jin-woo, who just chuckles at his antics, and Lim Tae-gyu shouts, "see? Stop acting like you're scary at newbies, you clown!"

Song Chi-yul as the history teacher.

Baek Yoon-ho, Ma Dong-wook, Lim Tae-gyu, Min Byung-gyu, Choi Jong-in, Cha Hae-in, and Sung Jin-woo hang out at the student council room (inspired by Horimiya).

Younggil, Choi Tae-woong, and other characters that appear in the Side-stories also study in the same school too.

Jin-ho studies in a different school (bc he's a rich kid), but he'll eventually appear.

Jin-woo feels like he's forming a friendship with the S-Rank hunters from the forgotten timeline once again and thinks they all could've been friends right from the start.

Jin-woo joins the track and field and often makes a bet with Hae-in on who is the fastest and whoever loses will treat the other a snack.

They always make fun of Mr. Park.

Choi Jong-in occasionally acts as everyone's tutor, but the rest teasingly prefers Hae-in to be the tutor since they understand hers better.

They "try" not to get into Jin-chul's nerves each day.

IU, who has established herself as a female solo artist representing the music industry with her inborn sensibilities and singing skills, has finally released her third mini-album, [Real] . IU's new album [Real] was co-produced by Cho Young-chul, who has been showcasing trends in the music industry with consecutive hits such as ‘Abracadabra’, ‘Nagging’ and ‘Irreversible’, as well as Choi Gap-won, who has worked with IU for a long time and understands IU's musical sensibilities well. First of all, composer Kim Hyung-suk's song ‘Not Like This’ is a Shibuya-based electronic medium song that IU tried for the first time and it stands out for its unique structure that flows throughout the song. Kim Hyung-suk, who has always praised IU’s voice tone for its feel, made use of IU's bright and sophisticated singing skills in this song.

The song composed by Yoon Jong-shin, ‘The Night of the First Breakup’ depicts a hectic and embarrassing day of a girl after her breakup and IU expressed the feelings of the song with excellent interpretation skills and emotions. After working on the song, Yoon Jong-shin praised IU as a ‘singer with both musical sensibility and intelligence who is sought after’.

‘In a Room Alone’ with its sensuous arrangements and sophisticated melodies, is a song written by composer Jeon Seung-woo, through which you can sense that IU’s singing tone has become more advanced and her vocals more sophisticated. In particular, IU was directly involved in writing the lyrics for ‘In a Room Alone’, together with lyricist Choi Gap-won, coloring the whole song with the emotions of an 18-year-old girl.

The mournful ballad track ‘What I’m Doing Slowly’ is a collaboration between composer PJ, Min Woong-sik and lyricist Choi Kap-won, who also wrote the lyrics. The song leaves an impression with its lyrical melodies based on acoustic sounds that best match IU and beautiful lyrics about breaking up with someone you were in love with and slowly forgetting the person, so as to love the person just a little more.

Shinsadong Tiger’s ‘Merry Christmas in Advance’ is a confession song, as a gift from IU to her fans and Chundung, a member of MBLAQ, who has built a friendship with IU since her trainee days, participated in the rap and gave her his support. Sinopsis: Choi Woong (Choi Woo Shik) y Gook Yeon Soo (Kim Da Mi) se separaron hace 10 años; sin embargo, un documental que filmaron durante sus días de escuela secundaria se vuelve popular y tienen que pararse frente a la cámara nuevamente. Choi Woong parece un hombre ingenuo y de espíritu libre, pero quiere tener algo por primera vez en su vida. Gook Yeon Soo era la mejor estudiante de su escuela, pero ahora es una adulta que vive ferozmente, adaptándose a su realidad.

Decidí ver Our Beloved Summer porque amé la actuación de Kim Da Mi en Itaewon Class, y presentí que no me defraudaría en Our Beloved Summer… ¡y efectivamente no lo hizo! Sí fue extraño al principio ver a Yi Seo actuando de una manera más fría y reservada, pero Kim Da Mi es una excelente actriz por lo que al instante me convenció que ya no estaba viendo a Yi Seo sino a Yeon Soo.

Our Beloved Summer (2021 - 2022) es una historia entretenida, tranquila, dulce, llena de romance y una pizca de angst, solo para rematar al final con un pizca aún más grande de fluff.

Creo que el highlight de este dorama fue mostrar las luchas, los dilemas, las relaciones y las realidades de la vida de un grupo de jóvenes adultos.

Cada personaje lidió con sus respectivas batallas y al final, el amor entre Yeon Soo y Woong triunfó de la manera más bella, pues se conocieron nuevamente, esta vez de verdad y no se rindieron pese a las inclemencias de la difícil realidad de ser un adulto.

Es tan fácil sentirse identificado con los sueños, miedos y deseos de cada personaje, por lo que este drama es un alivio y un dolor para el corazón al mismo tiempo.

Personalmente me sentí tan identificada con la personalidad orgullosa, y aparentemente fría y distante de Yeon Soo; misma que heredó de su abuelita. Gracias (o por culpa) de dicha personalidad he tenido que lidiar con varias situaciones similares a las de Yeon Soo. Al mismo tiempo, el mideo de Woong de no ser alguien que no hace nada solo para no defraudar a sus amados padres es algo que también me llegó al corazón. Definivamente el mejor kdrama del tipo Slice of Life que visto hasta ahora, y lo mejor, con un final satisfactorio.

Cada capítulo guarda un par de frases especiales en él que estoy segura que habrá una para cada espectador, una que le llegará al corazón.

En el último episodio Choi Woong dijo:

"Todo el mundo tiene recuerdos inolvidables de un determinado año de su vida, aprecian tanto esos recuerdos que duran un tiempo, y nuestro año, aún no ha terminado."

PD1. Hubo un momento en que mi corazón se partía a pedacitos por Ji Woong, su historia fue muy triste.

PD2. Solo había visto actuar a Woo Shik una vez en Fight My Way, y resultó se un completo imbécil ahí haha y ahora amé a su personaje haha.

PD3. Creo que una de las razones del porqué toleré tantos momentos chessy fue porque ví el dorama mientras estaba en emisión, es decir, tenía que esperar por el capítulo siguiente cada semana por lo que no sentí que me dieran una dosis alta de azúcar; sin embargo reitero que no puedo soportar tanta dulzura emanando de una pareja haha. Woong y Yeon Soo era muy dulces juntos, un poco demasiado xd.

Nota: Park Jin Joo estuvo en el dorama como la mejor amiga de la protagonista y como siempre, sus papeles de mejor amiga son lo mejor; sin embargo deberían darle también su propio papel protagónico :( ya van varias veces que la veo en el mismo papel y creo que merece tener su momento estelar.

Le doy a Our Beloved Summer 5 estrellas.

From the title itself, Prison Playbook, this kdrama revolves inside the prison. The story started when Kim Jae Hyuk, a famous baseball player, defended his sister from getting rape. Kim Jae Hyuk was sentenced one year in prison for assault. The first two episodes where he was spending his time in detention center was kinda boring. The fun of the story begins when Kim Jae Hyuk was transferred into a penitentiary. At first, you will thought that Kim jae Hyuk cellmates will caused trouble based on their initial actions (except for Jean Valjean ofc). But they are all warm hearted and have unique story to tell. Wing 2 Room 6 showcase different kinds of prisoners. Kim Jae Hyuk, our cutie baseball player. Although he was first shown as an idiot in the drama, he was actually smart in his own ways. He was just simple minded person. Although he was just defending his sister, he was jailed because of excessive used of force. He used a glass trophy to hit the rapist. In court, it was filed as excessive and exceeded justified self-defense. As he was spending his time in prison, he faced difficulties and some of it actually leads him into the decision of retiring in baseball. Kim Min Chul, the gangster. He did not actually directly killed someone but he started a gang fight where someone dies. His friend was sentenced to death penalty while he was sentenced of life imprisonment. After his friend died, he regretted that he became a thug. He spend his days in prison regretting, praying and supporting his cellmates(even tho he knows they will never visit him). It just sad that while he is in prison, he never knows about his daughter's identity until 22 years later. He spend most of his time in prison than in his supposedly family. Captain Yoo, he was actually defamed as a murderer. He was called demon captain way back then. Luckily, one of his troops decided to be the witness for retrial. The witness convince others to witness too. Two years after, justice serves. Better late than never. Tho, it was actually sad that money and power takes everything. Yoo Han Yang, the druggies. He took drugs just because he felt no one ever loves him honestly. His boyfriend cannot completely says he loves him and his mom was always thought of money. It was just sad that in the end, when we thought he will be better because finally his bf was proposing and his mom was being supportive now, he took drugs again and was caught again by the police. Dr Ko, an employee. He actually took the blamed/ cased against their company. It just sad that people will never admit that they are wrong. And they will used someone just to cover it up.

In short, this kdrama was superb. They were never dull moments with the squad! I also love Kyung Ho here. His character was very different from his character in Hospital Playlist. The only similarities is that they always yell! Furthermore, I commend the love story. Krystal's acting was so natural here and she have great chemistry with Park Hae Soo. The age gap of the two was actually cute tho. What bothers me is that when the two of them met, Ji Ho was still in grade school or junior high school. It was shown in the drama their huge age gap. Luckily, the directors confirmed in the drama itself that the two of them fell in love with each other when they are in legal age. Aside from the life inside the prison, they also showed as how difficult the life of an athlete and when he encounters the difficulties involving his health(mental or physical). Prison Playbook is a dark comedy. It all had its fun scenes but lowkey showing the injustices inside the prison. Real life prison was never this cute. It was all fun until you realized that in real life, being in prison was never this funny. And there are a lot of people who was actually just defamed. May the justice serves for them.

All in all, the drama was great! In fact, I actually developed a small crush on Park Hae Soo. He was cutesy cutie here. Definitely worth watching. Try to listen to their OSTs, too!
