Wah Sing Dim Sum, 135 S San Gabriel Blvd, Ste A, San Gabriel, CA 91776
Tumblr media
Wah Sing Dim Sum is a new takeout dim sum spot. Everything is already cooked and kept warm.
Grab a paper menu and write on it to place your order. The items are labeled A, B, and C. A dishes are $4.49, B dishes are $4.79, and C dishes are $5.59. They make their dim sum daily.
They have your typical dim sum: buns, dumplings, chicken feet, spare ribs, shu mai, taro cakes, sesame balls, rice noodles, sticky rice, porridge (they ran out though), etc. There’s a picture menu too.
Har gow (4 pieces, $4.79): Wrapper was on the thick, gummy side but plenty of shrimp filling. On the bland side though.
Leaf wrapped sticky rice (2 pieces, $4.79): best thing that I ordered, with sticky rice, a bit of Chinese sausage, ground pork, dried shrimp, even salted egg yolk wrapped in a leaf and steamed so that the flavors of the leaf, rice, and meat meld together. Could use a bit more seasoning.
Pork & vegetable bun (3 pieces, $4.79): soft fluffy bun with cabbage, carrots, scallions and a bit of ground pork. Filling was juicy but a little bland (more veggies than pork).
Egg tarts (3 pieces, $4.79): Very flaky, custard was sweet but didn’t have much egg flavor.
The interior looked clean. There are a few small tables. Credit card minimum of $15.
3.5 out of 5 stars

Whether it was intentional or not, I do like that the one Sonic Unleashed short has them fighting over a dumpling like in Kung-Fu Panda.

Kung Fu Buns🥟
Had steamed buns, beef tripe soup, peanut noodles, and chicken fingers. Small meal that can fulfill its appetite. Tasty with simple flavours. From “Gong Fu Xiao Long Bao”

One of my favorite activities - dim sum! 😋 its always difficult to order though with all the variety. I want to eat everything ya know?!
Heres an ode to some of my favorites; aside from 燒賣 (siumai) which I forgot to draw 🤡😂

Dinner at the Joy Luck House. Amazingly delicious. Two thumbs up for the Steamed Roast Pork Buns (Pictured) and the Crispy Shredded Beef.

I got high and only remembered the baos’ fillings (the animals are red bean, the lil’ones some kind of custard) and not the fact that they look like they do
