i think a lot about the kind of meals benson cooks for himself and randy once they’ve been running long enough to settle down
#i think they spend a lot of time at campgrounds w fire pits and outdoor grills#a lot of cast iron breakfasts and soup heated up in the tin in embers#but once they get a shitty apartment with cold war era appliances. a oven. that’s when the magic happens#cornbread soaked in milk w butter & honey. one pot stews. mashed potatoes w greens. malted milk w berries from the culvert out back#everything seasoned w dollar store spices and cooked in pots they stole from other campers and served on chipped plates from the goodwill#breaks my heart in two!!! but w joy. bc benson and randy lived happily ever after in my wonderful brain!!!!!!#text#my posts
