A not so quick thought I've been dying to shareeeee ahhhhh

Omg- so yk how Mc has that long table in their room??? Imagine setting up a craft station each week for the boys to do a lil craft.

Beel, Asmo, Dia, Simeon and Luke are super excited for crafting. Barbie, Mamms and Levi are excited too even if they won't admit it. But Luci, Satan and Belphie need a little bit of convincing. They're not children! But after your first successful chaotic crafting session they start to like it.

𖥸 Luci is surprisingly artistic. Even if it seems silly, this little crafting session is very relaxing and it gives him time to bond with his brothers. He likes to follow the model closely first before experimenting a little bit with his technique and style

𖥸 Mamms + Levi are trying to 1 up each other the whole time. They will hate on each other's projects and will fight over supplies. Mammon will swipe the scissors from Levi mid-cut even though there are 5 other pairs currently not being used. Then Levi will try to get them back and a fight will break out. Mc has to use "stay" before Levi summons Lotan.

𖥸 Satan bbg I'm so sorry. He will make something beautiful that he's proud of but it will get ruined. He'll just be putting the finishing touches on his craft when Levi and Mammon's fight will cause something to ruin it. A paint cup got knocked over and now there's paint water soaking his hard work. Or the glitter got spilled and now there's sparkly bits clinging to the undried glue. Mc is gonna have to use "stay" again to keep him from wringing his older brothers' necks.

𖥸 Asmo's crafts can be described in one word. Shiny. He's using all the glitter, gold leaf and sequins available to him. He especially likes those gold and silver detailing pens. But don't mistake sparkly for tacky because even if his crafts are sparkly they are still tasteful.

𖥸 Beel + Belphie will make adorable little projects but Beel will try to eat the supplies duh. Please for the love of Dia get the nontoxic supplies. He can't help it though. That shade of pink looks just like a poison strawberry tart and the colors Simeon mixed look exactly like Madam Scream's Macarons! He just wants a little taste. Belphie will be busy trying to stop him from drinking paint. If he keeps a few extra snacks on hand then it will keep Beel at bay.

𖥸 Diavolo is just absolutely enamored by all the cool crafts. Like woah you made that little scarecrow!? And you made a pom pom pumpkin? He's so excited to try out all the crafts and is that one weirdo that is absolutely covered in 8 different colors of paint somehow even though he only used white.

𖥸 Barbatos will also create the most gorgeous crafts. Like excuse me sir, you're telling me you made that out of construction paper, pipe cleaners and popsicle sticks???? There ain't no way. 100% the chillest crafter at the table but he will snap Mammon and Levi's necks if any of the mishaps of their fight ruins his project.

𖥸 Simeon and Luke will probably work together on a craft. Like Asmo's projects, Simeon and Luke will add lots of pastel colors and shiny bits to their project mostly in the form of gold flakes or those metalic paint pens.

𖥸 Solomons crafts are similar to his cooking. They never end up being what was intended. Like today we're making kites and - Uhhh Solomon made an abstract Mona Lisa with construction paper shapes?? Alright then... You do you man

Lucifer being good at everything doesn’t even surprise me anymore- but he’s genuinely very into it and it’s nice to see him try to relax and do something with his brother that’s just for fun!!!

Mammon + Levi- I wouldn’t expect anything else honestly- those two can’t stop for five minutes and they almost ruin it for everyone. (Until MC calms them down and fixes everything) also the fact Levi’s better at traditional drawing them Mammon is probably another reason they fight hskshsj

Poor Satan. Tho depending on how annoying Levi & Mams have been it might be fine to let Satan smack them up a bit- jkjk bad idea ik- MC needs to help him calm down and maybe start a new project together? (That’ll at least perk Satan up and piss off Levi ‘n Mammon which again will make Satan feel better :))

The first thing Asmo used was a pick glitter gel pen and his artwork is absolutely gorgeous~ (definitely something super shiny!!! but still gorgeous and he’s careful to stay at the other end of the table away from Levi and Mammon helpsjsj)

All the supplies have to be non-toxic and absolutely no one can try drawing or making anything resembling food- Also just imagine Belphie taking the paint water away from Beel and putting it by his drink….so a little later sleepyhead accidentally drink some instead lolol also anything Belphie actually makes looks like it’s out of a horror movie while Beel’s is just…abstract :)

Diavolo’s feels like a callout as the kid who was always covered in paint but he’s so happy with his little somewhat lumpy pompom and little painting!! Just look at his sweet smile!!!

Barbatos doesn’t even need to threaten Mammon or Levi- they take one look his way and see that smile and know they better knock it off and behave- also how??? Sir it’s gorgeous but how??? Hell he probably made a fully functioning little model of MC XD

Simeon and Luke are adorable as always!! It’s definitely something sweet, yet a little more simple, but still very cute! The shiny bits are perfect and they definitely made it with the intention of gifting it to MC when they’re done <3

Solomon……Solomon wtf why?….you could’ve drawn a stick man and it would’ve been better that…uhhh that- But he’s happy!! Also very, very proud of it and when you ask what it’s supposed to be he looks a little offended-

- I quite literally cannot get over how INSANE the sound design and lighting design are. Like, I can’t even express my thoughts about it. I wish they could have gotten 5 of each of those Tony’s. Absolutely insane.

Possible spoilers!!!

So now that I've had some time to digest and formulate thoughts, can I just say that I adore how The Church on Ruby Road was able to show Ruby's good influence and just how much she mattered in that small, personal way - to her mother, to her grandmother and neighbors - both in The Scene where she's not there and in how she cares for them throughout the episode? Like... THAT'S what "show, don't tell" means! Her absence was so loud and her presence was so warm, the actual EPISODE LIGHTING changed! I'm so excited to see her as a companion, she seems like she and the Doctor are going to be great fun.

And, of course, her family is just spectacular. I love those three queens in the sky, as Cherry put it.

yes!!!!! ohhh you've said it so well, that's exactly it. we're shown what an interesting, brilliant and caring character Ruby is without being told that she is all of those qualities, which i think a lot of Doctor Who in recent years has suffered from...especially when their importance gets bound up in plot? i love her so much 😭💖 ahhhhh i absolutely adore Carla, and found her personality shift when the timelines changed so distressing. you could really see how despite her selflessness and all the love she gave throughout her life, how having that large family nourished her...and i think she and Ruby are both able to show the Doctor why he is deserving of love and family. they don't need to be blood relatives and it doesn't need to be transactional...love is a two-way street that benefits both people involved. i hope the Doctor takes that on board from Ruby, Carla and Cherry 🥺💖 speaking of, Cherry was hilarious!! bless her heart, she is taking no nonsense from anyone - i'm so glad she got her tea 😂 her interactions with the Doctor were so funny too - she was in a near-swoon!!! (although who wouldn't be 😳)

OK. SO. You know how Dazai is Not having a good time rn.... like bro is seeing the pearly gates. And Chuuya (who is not in control of his own body) is on his way to kill him via Fyodor's orders.

NOW, many people, including myself... ARE SO EXCITED FOR THIS SKK REUNION!!! like... so many monumental things abouta possibly happen. SUCH AS (list off the top of my head): 1. Chuuya bite Dazai vampire style and that nullifies the curse. Aha. i can imagine the edits now. (and to see that animated at some point.. ough) 2. Skk beats up Fyodor double black style ;) 3. Skk bantering that we have missed so so so much 4. Chuuya potentially faking being vampire, lifting his hat up, and looking at Dazai... "You missed me?" OR "You look like shit. Almost makes me forgive you for that stunt you pulled with the water." 5. Dazai being carried princess style by Chuuya ahhahahtg73849ewk 6. Now, what me personally wanna see.... Chuuya BOOKING it down the halls trying to get to Dazai in time. I don't think this will happen because the shock value of seeing Chuuya actually faking being vampire wouldn't be as good. BUT OH BOY AM I IMAGINING IT. 7. oh and Chuuya having his own flashbacks ab their relationship too!!

Now, I don't think Dazai is going to die. But. It a possibility that we cannot ignore.... and I've got some angst that it can cause. Like. Agh. This is the reason I'm making this post; I want to shock others with fear. Fear that I don't want to suffer through alone. NOW, MY ANGSTY LIST FOR HOW THIS SKK INTERACTION MIGHT PLAY OUT:

Fyodor calls back vampire Chuuya (Sigma situation) and he doesn't make it to Dazai in time and Dazai dies Alone. (I don't think this is going to happen at like. All. But it could! Maybe!)

Turns out Chuuya is faking being vampire, but he gets to Dazai and it's too late to do anything (poison kicks in, bro bleeds out, etc.) He dies in his arms! ^^

Chuuya is forced to activate corruption, Dazai can't save him because BROKEN LEGS and both Chuuya and Dazai die (i will stop reading bsd.

Chuuya kills Dazai as a vampire, the curse isn't nullified (FYODOR is the one who sent Chuuya there afterall) and this is when we get Really Angsty: (1) It's obvious that Chuuya and Dazai care for each other on some level, even if you don't ship them. Chuuya would be killing somebody that he cares about, and he would probably blame himself for it. Dazai is somebody that he has known for SEVEN YEARS!! That shit would HURT!! The sheep, flags, all of his subordinates that have died on the field, now Dazai. (2) NOW as for DAZAI!! If I remember correctly, Dazai says something along the lines of "Everything I want I lose" or something like that, right?? Now. Imagine this. Dazai, someone who craves death and constantly tries to commit suicide, dies. OK so what?? No. I think that Dazai very much wants to try and stay alive, it's hinted at multiple times (15 novel, his character song, a much happier life with the ADA in contrast to the mafia, etc.). Let's circle back to what I said earlier, "Everything I want I lose." Dazai goes full circle from wanting to die -> wanting to live -> dying. It hurts and it would prove what Dazai thinks/thought is right!! Everything he wants, he can't have! (Also, cherry on top. He hates pain!! He would be dying a very, very painful death. He even says that he is in a lot of pain in the chapter) OK, ONE AGAIN I DONT THINK CHUUYA OR DAZAI IS DYING!!! im sorry. lets.. focus on the positives!!! Sskk reunion yayyy! (it's also really painful to think about them)

Haiji nearly drops the plate he's washing when he hears it. 

Even the interviewer, it seems, is surprised enough to cough onscreen and say with open curiosity, "Really, Kurahara-san? Shoelaces?"

But Kakeru turns to look seriously at the camera and says, "It's true. The way I lace my shoes is the same way my college track captain used to. I made him sit down with me, the afternoon of his graduation ceremony, just to show me.” He laughs, and to Haiji’s ears he sounds wistful. “I wonder what he thought of that.” 

Haiji had forgotten, but he remembers it now — the cherry blossoms in Kakeru’s hair, the unbearably blue sky. The way his hands had trembled when he’d leant over to tie the knot with Kakeru’s laces. How absolutely certain Haiji had been, in that moment, that there was nothing between them to start. 

Onscreen, Kakeru is smiling at the camera, an unexpected curl to his mouth. "I wouldn't be anywhere near here if I hadn't met him. I truly believe that joining the Kansei ekiden team changed the course of my life.” He ducks his chin. The tips of his ears are pink, even in the studio lighting. "Anyway. I owe him a lot. I suppose the lacing was, selfishly, a way to keep him in my life after he left running."

"There you have it," the interviewer says. "Kurahara Kakeru, Japanese national team marathon runner, on the greatest influences of his running life.”

“Thank you very much,” Kakeru says, bobbing politely. Haiji can’t tear his eyes from the screen. A way to keep him in my life after he left running. 

The interviewer continues, “Kurahara-san’s college running career culminated in running Section 10 of the Hakone ekiden three years in a row, breaking his previous record each time. Kurahara-san will be one of our guest broadcasters for this year’s ekiden, please be sure to tune in next week to catch his segment!”

The show cuts to commercial and Haiji lunges for his phone. Even as he's dialing he has no idea what he'll say, and no idea how long ago this segment was filmed, only that he can't just — leave that said without a response.

There's a thirteen hour drive between them, but he can close it with a call.

The line clicks over to voicemail. Kakeru's voice — Haiji's heart thuds — says, dry and rote, "It's Kurahara Kakeru. Please leave a message."

"Kakeru," Haiji says. It's been years since he addressed Kakeru by name. He’s always Kurahara-san when he comes up in the newsroom at work. 

Haiji doesn’t know what to say next. His university self would have found a way to just — start talking, shrouding the truth in layers of misdirection, discovering what he meant to say midway through and talking in circles until it was hidden again. But now, a decade later, he just wants to get to the point.

“I saw your interview,” Haiji says. He chews at the inside of his cheek, and adds, “I remembered you asking me to teach you how I tie my racing shoes. Only after you said it, though.” He paces a slow circle in his kitchen. It’s easier to say this, knowing that Kakeru will only hear it later. “I don’t know your racing schedule, but … if your season brings you here to Fukuoka, I would like to meet up, or — dinner, perhaps, if you would like. I’ve mi—”

The line clicks again and for a moment Haiji thinks he's run out of time. But then, a breath over the line and Kakeru's voice, worried, says, "Is this ... Haiji-san? Is something wrong?"

Of course he’d think that. They’ve barely texted in the decade since Haiji’s graduation. Calling like this…

“Nothing’s wrong,” Haiji says. “I’m sorry to call you so suddenly. I — I watched your interview. The teaser for the ekiden broadcast.”

“Oh,” Kakeru says. A surprised little laugh. “Really?”

“I watch most of your interviews,” Haiji admits. “This time, I just wanted to—” This had been so much easier without Kakeru on the other line. “I remembered, after you said it. When you asked me to show you how I laced my racing shoes.” 

“Ah,” Kakeru says. He sounds embarrassed. 

Haiji almost says: I didn’t think there was something between us, then. I thought it was just me. “I was happy to do it,” Haiji says instead, as firmly as he knows how. “It made me happy that you asked.” It’s been years. The circumstances have changed. They’ll be different people, when they meet again. 

“Come to the team reunion this year, Haiji-san,” Kakeru says. Haiji can hear the tentative smile in his voice. He presses his phone closer to his ear to hear Kakeru add, “It hasn’t been the same without you there.”

The rush of wind outside Haiji’s apartment window. The feeling of a new beginning rising in his chest.

“I’ll be there, Kakeru,” Haiji says. “I’ve missed you.”

but!!! when SHI MEI specially catches the moments when you feel emotionally vulnerable and gently "wraps" you with words and questions, smiling affectionately, like a heavenly fairy descending to earth, before sitting down next to you, instantly emotionally adjusting to you; he is so perfect, you can't believe you ever lived you can't imagine living without him, — it's so good to be with him, especially when he understands from a half-breath what you feel and makes you feel so... full, complete, and his warm, like spring rain, words are absorbed by you as the earth absorbs water. you are not surprised that his element is water — SHI MEI himself is like water, gentle and soothing, always understanding and enveloping that you just want to hug him and never let go.

THEN 🐱: Do they have pet names for each other, if so what are they? How does their partner feel about their pet name? and of course 😑: How easily do they get jealous and how do they handle it? But alsoooo 🕊️: Give just a general domestic tidbit for em (things they like about each other, routines, habits, and just overall sweet stuff) 🥰

Wingman question- I feel like overall in the story I’ve created, Allie’s experiences with the guys are much like how I handled them in high school.

Allie is basically Hellfire’s hobbit, the guys gave Eddie absolute shit for bagging a “Baggins” because she’s short and has tan skin (in my last fic, Eddie compared Allie to Valerie Bertinelli, and the guys immediately said she looked more like a hobbit). I imagine they have no tact and are socially inept, so they immediately started calling her Frodo. But Allie’s pretty feisty and angry, so she’ll often talk shit right back (all in good fun of course, but to the outside observer it looks like they all hate each other, but that’s nerd groups for you).

When they get to know her a little better, she actually finds out that Jeff has read the entirety of Frank Herbert’s Dune series like she has, and is the only one of Hellfire club who didn’t drop off after Dune Messiah, so they have their own little clique within Hellfire called “House Atreides” made up of only those who have read all the current Dune books of that time (up to Chapterhouse: Dune) complete with their own little code names.

Jeff is Leto, Allie is Alia, and Dustin eventually is Muad’Dib because he helps her the most during campaigns (it’s a very complex Dune reference, but the Muad’dib is the name of a desert mouse who taught the Fremen Desert People to produce water in the deserts of Arrakis, and a quote from Dune calls the mouse instructor of boys, hence, Dustin is Allie’s Muad’Dib).

Allie by contrast doesn’t have any friends besides Eddie’s own friends, but she does have a close relationship with Chrissy who talks to her in the bathrooms when they skip periods together. Chrissy at first doesn’t really know who any of Allie’s friends are, but an incident with Eddie makes her mistrustful of him and she constantly warns Allie not to be too reliant on her boyfriend, as Chrissy doesn’t think highly of Eddie after this incident. So Chrissy is highly protective of her little dorky friend, especially after Allie tells her this is the first real relationship she’s ever been in.

Pet name question- Ooooh! Okay! So, the name Allie in of itself is Eddie’s special pet name for Alejandra. Ordinarily, people in Hawkins will use her anglicized name (Alexandra), or they’ll shorten it to Alex, Lexie, Lex, things like that. But since Eddie’s name is shortened, he wanted to match with her, so he started calling her Allie (he did not want to call her Al, for obvious reasons).

At first she HATED that name, but after a while, she got used to it and loved it. Eddie also often calls her simple things like baby, babe, sweetheart, sweetpea, princess, they both call each other “eebies” which is basically “baby” after it’s been woobified so many times the word is no longer recognizable.

Allie’s pet names for Eddie mainly consist of baby, babe, hunny bunny (she loves rabbits so this one was a must), angel, angel baby, and Cherry Garcia because he teased her once for being a cherry girl. So she started calling him Cherry Garcia because he popped hers 🤣.

Jealousy question- I think the one who gets jealous the most is Allie for sure. Homegirl has wack jealousy issues and often just wants to keep Eddie to herself.

I think Eddie is at first big headed about having a girl get jealous and possessive of him, but definitely weirded out by it when it extends out to her being jealous of his friends, and it might actually be one of the factors that he calls her out on the most often. Especially when she starts getting snappy and mean to people who don’t deserve it.

But Eddie is more inclined I think to be self defeating about his jealousy. His hackles don’t raise when he gets jealous of other guys showing interest in Allie, instead he fucking panics. Tries love bombing but when she gets weirded out by it, becomes convinced she doesn’t like him and that she can do better. So he gets depressed and stops if he feels like all his scrambling and love bombing isn’t working.

Domestic tidbit- They spend every waking second together and are actually kind of a little unhealthily codependent. They’re like cats following one another into the bathroom and just hanging out talking like it’s no big deal while they do their business.

It’s usually because they’re mid conversation about something, and don’t see the point in pausing when they can just chat while they do whatever. They figure it’s also easier to just chat while they’re both in the same space so they’re not having to yell through the door. Especially if it’s a private conversation. So it’s common during events to be like “where’s Eddie/where’s Allie” and someone responds “they went to the bathroom” nonchalantly.

Everyone thinks it’s weird and sexual like they’re off screwing in there, but it’s literally just shit like them discussing why you can tell Tolkien is more of a historian than a story teller in the chapter Concerning Hobbits. Or talking shit about how someone looked at them wrong during lunch.

also, i had such a fun time listening to the playlist while reading. i also ended up with justine skye’s collide playing on repeat and that made part 2 feel even more intense. music is such a source of inspiration for my own writing, and i love that it’s something you weave into your stories. it’s also a joyous and fascinating experience to see and read the art music inspires and creates. it’s like a constant pool of rebirth and i’m obsessed with that

I'm here to toss my hat into the "I can't believe you made me ship this and cry over it" ring, it was emotionally devastating. The comic got me curious and then when I saw the word count of your series I thought to myself "there's no way there's that much to be said on Finn kissing himself" but boy was I proven INCORRECT. I really appreciate how you took Fern and fleshed him out into such a developed, deeply dimensional character, how you handled him being a demon, how you turned the grass demon into a real character of its own and how you explained its motivations and the effect that had on Fern/why they snapped. The 0 to 60 fight or flight response that gave me a pit in my stomach at parts was so potent. Oh, and the nasty crying!? My sleeve was actually soaked because I didn't want to stop reading to get tissues. I had to put my phone down and walk circles in my living room after reading the older Finn/HW scene. It saddens me that you've crafted this novel length fanfic with such care for a selfcest ship because it deserves so much more attention than it'll get, and I'd love to recommend it to people but they'd look at me like I've grown a second head while I insist "it's not what you think, I swear!" update on hazbin hotel #5

yeah im back with my thoughts on episode 8, the 1st season's finale!

WARNING: This article contains spoilers for episode 8 of Hazbin Hotel, and spoilers for the series as a whole.

- Sir Pentious still manages to crack me up! There was a scene between Sir Pentious and Cherri Bomb at the start of the episode that made me laugh and say "bro can't flirt"

- Adam's face reveal was kind of underwhelming, but I suppose it makes sense he would look kind of generic since he's meant to be the "original man".

- I really love Niffty so much ahhhhh! That moment where Niffty managed to land the finishing blow on Adam during the Extermination got me laughing my ass off!

- Two plot twists at the end of the episode (Sir Pentious going to Heaven and Lilith turning out to be in Heaven) left me kind of confused... but did leave me wondering about where the series could be going with this.

- Oh, I'm also very curious about what Vox and the other Vs might be up to in the 2nd season, since a 2nd season was already confirmed to be in production before the series even aired.

- Wait wait wait, I did also notice that Arackniss (a character that was planned to be part of the series) did make a cameo during Katie's new broadcast at the end of the episode. It makes me really want to see him get an appearance in the show proper.

- Oh also another thing, I do have some gripes about Lute claiming Adam was dead at the end up the episode. I just feel kind of weird about having Adam, a guy that seemed set up to be the main villain of the series, be killed off in the 1st season of a show that's confirmed to be multiple seasons long to be off-putting, because it just feels a little too quick to kill him off (unless he secretly actually survived the episode...)
