Remember: The burning sensation is part of the process.
#Mouthwashing#blood#body horror#Emphasizing here that this is in reference to a media and character and not a cry for help on my end.#Mouthwashing is one of those games that tickles my brain and checks all the boxes for my niche interests -#-but it wasn't something that got the silly comic part in my cortex firing up. My analysis brain is eating well though!#What said...It is impossible for me to see this scene and not say out loud: “Me in the middle of my work day".#While there is a lot more going on with curly I personally resonated a lot with his struggles with burnout.#Burnout feels like mouthwash to me. That you keep rinsing out your mouth trying to get rid of the rotting smell#but it's just surface level solutions. The real cure requires something far more significant to actually make a difference.#The job 'is hard' and 'everyone struggles'. It's part of the process right? You're tired? Anxious? Depressed? Us too! Chin up!#Actually I resonated with a lot of things within Curly (this is a curly positive space - he's not perfect. He's just human).#One thing being his desire to see the good in people and believe in their potential.#Because here's the thing. Some people truly do just need someone in their corner who stands by them so they can grow and improve.#And some people will take advantage of your kindness. You focus so much on their humanity while you stop being a person to them.#The horrifically toxic relationship persists because Curly tries to see the bigger picture and believes in the good within.#Anyone who has lived through constantly trying to reframe the hurt as something else knows-#-just how many excuses your brain will make to avoid cognitive dissonance. It's human psychology.#Jimmy sucks so bad. But we the audience have the privilege of not having years of baggage associating him in our minds as 'friend'.

i literally can't think about life or the future for more than a few seconds without getting so distressed that i shut down. surely this is a good sign for things to come
#true about any aspect of those. personal life. local politics. world disasters etc#i can't focus on one and approach it first bc even that's already too much for me#i was genuinely truly literally not made to be alive. i am not built for this. i shouldn't have survived this long#i feel like an error in the book of fate. like i accidentally dodged the grim reaper for too long#there is too much of me inside my brain. if that makes sense. i am long overdue. etc etc#what is that even called is it still depression at this point 😭😭😭 it's like a whole new thing fr#seriously tho how the fuck does one even get over it. being in a state of mind like that means no therapist would even try working with me#(bc well if i don't think i should be alive how am i supposed to work to get better. esp when i don't see any reason to)#(kinda like a festering wound in a body part that should've been cut off ages ago)#everything feels pointless bc of how shitty the future will be no matter what. like there is truly no hope at all#this isn't pessimism it's just facts. there is no good ending here no matter what. unless you overhaul reality completely#vent#:/ i should probably try to sleep but i'm doing really bad#idk if i'll have nightmares or just a very sad dream like i had last night. i don't seem to have much else going on there in my brain#negative //#sorryyyyyy#i'd ask for help but idk what help to even ask for. what anyone could even offer. like there is no solution or a way to forget it#best i can do is distract myself all the time but that's really hard to do when a lot of what i have going on makes me feel bad too#. rambling in nonsensical ways atp sorry. brain is being mean and stupid

#I go through these ups and downs and that's okay because recovery is not linear#but my mental health is impacting my productivity and my relationships with others soooo not great#I just have a very low drive to get anything done and I can't focus for shit#and on the other side of my brain I've got the dark thoughts just offering not great solutions#anyway it is 3am I should be sleeping but here I am instead lol#I think venting helps honestly. I'm trying to do better about 'feeling my feelings'#Anyway that's all. Maybe I can sleep now idk#personal

"Pineal Guard Now! | Supplements - Health"
Sharpen Your Mind: My personal Review of Pineal Guard
Feeling mentally foggy or struggling with occasional forgetfulness? As we age, it's natural to experience some decline in cognitive function. However, I'm a firm believer in proactive wellness, and that's why I decided to explore natural solutions to support cognitive health. My search led me to Pineal Guard, and after using it for a while, I'm happy to share my positive experience.
Unveiling the Power of the Pineal Gland
Pineal Guard specifically targets the pineal gland, a tiny pinecone-shaped structure located deep within the brain. This gland is responsible for producing melatonin, a hormone that regulates sleep and wake cycles. Interestingly, research suggests that the pineal gland may also play a role in cognitive function and overall well-being. By supporting the health of this gland, Pineal Guard aims to enhance cognitive performance.
A Blend of Natural Ingredients
What truly appealed to me was Pineal Guard's commitment to natural ingredients. The formula incorporates well-regarded herbs like gingko biloba and bacopa monnieri, both known for their potential benefits in supporting memory and focus. Additionally, it includes vitamin B12, which is crucial for healthy brain function. This focus on natural ingredients aligns with my philosophy of promoting wellness without harsh chemicals.
Experiencing Improved Cognitive Clarity
Within a few weeks of consistent use, I noticed a perceptible improvement in my mental clarity. The brain fog that had become a persistent nuisance began to dissipate. Recalling information became easier, and focusing on tasks felt less like a chore. While not a magic bullet, Pineal Guard has become a valuable tool in my quest for optimal cognitive function.
A Step Towards Age Reversal?
While reversing aging entirely might be a bridge too far, promoting overall well-being can significantly enhance our quality of life as we mature. A sharp mind is a vital part of living a fulfilling life, and by supporting cognitive health, Pineal Guard can be a step towards achieving a more youthful vitality. It's important to remember that a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet and regular exercise, remains paramount for optimal cognitive function.
Combining Pineal Guard with a well-rounded approach to wellness can be a powerful strategy for maintaining a sharp mind and embracing life to the fullest.

something something anthropocene = masculine connotations and splatoon post-anthropocene = feminine/genderless focus
#rotating it in my brain....#the one paper that said the technological solutions proposed to climate change are full of masculine confidence#and then there is splatoon in the post-anthropocene with its focus on female characters (looking at boxart etc) and genderless looks#and the pretty masculine octavio who's failing and the enemy#there is something here sdghksdk#esp because those technological solutions failed in splatoon universe. humanity went extinct bc of the damn rockets.

Okay I get that the toxic positivity way I was raised is bad and venting about things is good and healthy but there's a grim sort of hilarity in the complete miscommunciation between how my boyfriend and his family process complaining and how I was raised to do it. Because I was raised with the attitude that if you've got a problem, you either do something about it if you can, or focus on things you can control if it's something you can't change. And the way he was raised, simply complaining about things because they worry you is just what you do to process things, venting to make yourself feel better.
So when he brings up something that bothers him, and I ask him what he thinks we should be doing about that, it's a baffling question to him. To him, verbally stating that Life Is Just Bad Sometimes is a neutral thing and not a prompt to start coming up with how to solve this issue. And my brain just fucking short-circuits right there.
So when he's just stating out loud that things just be like that sometimes, what I'm hearing is "life is intrinsically, ontologically bad in a way that cannot be in any way improved, endured, nor ignored, and there is no hope of it ever being any other way." And like a solution-seeking missile, my singular brain cell jumps into the next passably logical solution and goes
"So are you suggesting we should do double-suicide?"

Astrology observations - Part 4 (use whole signs)
🌟 Moon in 4th is one of my favourite placements. These people usually have a good career, like an emotionally fulfilling one. They won't stay in a job that doesn't make them happy. Their mom can help them choose a career or give them interview tips.
🏮Mars in 2nd house people are so lucky when it comes to earning money, it's like, they get a new money making opportunity just when they're on their last penny. They're also not afraid to get their hands dirty and are willing to do almost anything, very hard working people. They're also the ones managing all the money in their family.
🌟 Mercury in 8th house people are the ones with a "sexy brain" like the WAY their mind works, are so good at analysing arguments and coming up with the best possible solution. Good debating skills. These people have great manifestation skills, I have a list of 100 + incidents, it's honestly a little scary. Can also develop clairvoyant abilities if they work on it.
🏮I haven't met a single non religious, Sun in 9th house person in my life. Even if they're not that religious in their younger years, they will be when they get older. Always willing to help others even when they themselves are suffering, my mom has this, and.....it pisses me off so bad. The "put your own oxygen mask on first" advice is for you all. Stop helping people, be selfish, it's not your duty to make everyone else's life better. My mom doesn't listen, but maybe you all will.
🌟 Venus in 11th house is a placement that's really good from a business perspective. They're great at negotiations so that's helpful. They won't like doing a regular 9 to 5 job as it will suppress their freedom and creativity. They will open their own business pretty early on in life, in like late 20's or early 30's. Great architects and interior designers. I remember when I made the architecture and astrology post, a lot of people had this.
🏮I haven't seen anyone talk about this, but moon in 6th house people can be really good leaders, they're very helpful and kind and their ability to understand emotions makes them extremely likable. They have more of a people oriented leadership style. They focus on building strong relationship with their group members or employees. Also, why are you all always sick 😭? Prone to anxiety and stress and this leads to body pain and digestive issues. Please put your health first.
🌟 It's really funny how ALL my friends, every single one, has Venus in 1st. I would say that rather than us being pretty, we're just very likable. Even if they're introvert or shy, they have a communication style that makes other people want to talk to them. It's just an aura thing, tbh. Also, they're huge people pleasers and will do their best not to offend anyone, like even if a person is being annoying, they won't say anything. (Mars in 1st can change this)
🏮 Jupiter in 2nd house is not good for marriage but great for career and friendships. I know people with this who are still in contact with their pre school friends. Their friends will help them in their career as well. They're intelligent but they think they're not, and this makes them lose a lot of opportunities. Need to have a little bit of courage to succeed in life.
🌟 Sun in 12th house people probably had a painful childhood (more so than others), if mercury is with sun in 12th, then they write poems to express this pain. They're good writers, and can be lyricists, authors, script/play writers, etc. these people are physically weak. Might also not know who they are, as in, not aware of their own personality traits.
🏮Saturn in 12th house people lack confidence when they're young, but become more confident as they get older and learn to get out of their comfort zone. These people have better luck outside of their homeland. This is a good placement if you want to become a psychologist as it gives you the ability to properly analyse those with mental disorders. They also look aloof most of the time. This is another placement that is good in terms of writing skills, many famous authors have this (those who write sad stuff)

sorry if you've already answered this 700 times, in which case totally feel free to ignore. but how do you lengthen your attention span? is it as simple as watching/reading progressively longer things?
First of, I am by no means an expert, but I'm happy to help as much as I can! There are a lot of great articles, books, and podcasts on the topic if you want any further info.
The most important thing to realize is why are attention spans are getting worse:
Information overload and distractions make it difficult to focus. (Ex. social media and text notification going off while you are doing other tasks)
Intentional multitasking gets your brain used to doing more than one thing at once so it becomes very difficult to make it do only one thing (Ex. having the tv on in the background while doing other tasks)
Consuming a lot of media focused on having minimal downtime and immediate gratification decreases our patience and ability to do slower tasks (Ex. watching a lot of action packed movies and short TikToks)
Getting constant small hits of dopamine from social media decreases our ability to do tasks that don't give us dopamine hits (Ex. getting likes from a post or messages from friends)
The solutions to most of these come down to two things: (1) Do only one thing at a time (2) Limit distractions from that task (3) Reduce immediate gratification
So some example of ways to do that would be:
Read a book without your phone being on hand to distract you.
Watch TV without multitasking.
Reduce time on social media, especially social media focused on short videos.
Spend a day or part of a day without technology.
Spend time with friends without looking at your phone.
Watch slow-form content like unedited lecture or panel videos where people are just speaking at their normal pace without cutting pauses.
Listen to music albums all the way through instead of shuffling and skipping.
Eat meals without multitasking (ie mindful eating)
Make yourself a cup of tea and sit on a park bench or by the window and watch some birds.
People-watch at the coffee shop.
Write long emails or letters to friends and family instead of short texts.
Call and have a conversation with a loved one without multitasking.
Meditate.
Take a walk and enjoy nature.
Don't scroll through your phone while waiting in a line.
Read long posts when you come across them on your dashboard.
Have an ebook on your phone to read whenever you would normally scroll through social media.
Don't go on your phone/online for a certain amount of time before bed.
If you are having trouble doing these things, try to do one tasks but increase the stimuli of that task. For example, read a book while listening to the audiobook at the same time. Or listen to music while watching a lyric video. These are great baby steps!
Another great baby step is (like you said in your question) doing things for progressively longer amounts of time! Set a timer for a certain number of minutes and then read without distraction for that amount of time. That way it won't feel like it is never ending and you can track your progress.
Obviously not all of these will be for everyone and some of these are too hard for people with ADHD or serious attention issues, but they are a good place to start!
I hope that helps 💕

As soon as the concept for this materialized in my head my brain very adamantly would not allow me to focus on literally anything else, so my solution was to throw all my other responsibilities out the window and make this as fast as I possibly could, thus freeing it from my brain prison and letting me do my actual work lmao.

I really don't get it. I love rules when writing. It's my favorite challenge. "Nobody likes X and Y. What happens when you smash X and Y together and how can you make it work?" So why when you put a list of rules in front of me and ask me to play a game, does my brain just fucking dissolve?
#literally dissolve#looked at the genesys character sheet today and read the word skullduggery and could feel my body recoiling#had to smack it back into my skull#like- no brain you're fucking fine I /know/ it's not /that/ difficult.#this is not the mysterious 5e this is just a lot of new words#It happens with board games too. You start reading the rules and I try my hardest to pay attention and then halfway through the game when#-I finally start getting the rounds right and into the swing of things#I'm too far behind to strategize and just kinda vibe my way through the last bit.#then I lose.#It's really hard to stamp out all the negative self talk.#It's not true but it feels true when something that's supposed to be fun and IS fun for the last half is just... idek.#The only visible solution I can see is forcibly fixate on the New Braemar and Genesys ruleset three weeks before the campaign starts#Just do a fucking blood sacrifice to the fishpeople and play half a dozen sessions by myself before it starts.#it'll be miserable but I might not make a fool out of myself and I can focus on whatever roleplay I'll get to enjoy#... I could also read up on whaling#that would be a lot more fun

HABITS TO IMPLEMENT BEFORE THE END OF THE YEAR ᡣ𐭩ྀིྀི₊ ⊹
DAILY AFFIRMATIONS
You can choose whatever time you’d like to say positive and affirmative statements to yourself. When saying affirmations, use the first person and present tense. E.g I am healthy, I take care of myself, and I am strong academically.
Affirmations are so helpful because our brains struggle to tell the difference between imagination and reality. So, when we visualise ourselves doing something that's not actually happening, it stimulates the brain areas as if we were actually experiencing it.
So, repetitive affirmations will encourage your brain to treat it as fact. While this only works to an extent, it does help with self-sabotaging thought actions and thought patterns.
EATING MINDFULLY
Eating mindfully is the practice of when consuming anything, you put your full focus on that meal. There are no devices that may distract you, you’re eating slowly and paying close attention to how different meals make your body feel.
To eat mindfully, focus on the time it takes for you to finish your food. Is it enough time for your body to give signals about your meal? To chew thoroughly? Another thing is to turn off and eliminate any distractions. Such as being on any devices or multitasking.
Eating too quickly means that your body may not have enough time to tell you that it's full. When you eat mindfully, it's easier for your body to register when it's full. Furthermore, it's easier to distinguish between true hunger and non-hunger triggers for eating.
CREATIVE OUTLETS
For a lot of us, 2024 was a stressful year. We’re constantly hustling and not letting ourselves process what's happening in and around us. Having a creative outlet helps us to release and detach from those emotions. It allows us to experience that feeling, but leave it all behind in the end.
Some examples are painting, clay artwork, creative writing, designing, sewing, crocheting and music. There’s a lot more you could do, but ultimately you have to do what's best for yourself.
LEARNING SOMETHING NEW EVERYDAY
At least one thing each day: aim to learn something completely new to you. Other than the fact that you are learning something new, it allows for your curiosity to grow and expand outside of your typical education institution. With curiosity, comes with the skill of being able to explore complications and come up with solutions.
There are many ways you can learn, but I think the best way is by coming up with your questions in an area you’re unfamiliar with and then looking for an answer to your question.
My favourite way has to be watching video essays. Doesn’t always have to be social commentary, but anything that seems interesting enough for me.
COMPLIEMENT-A-DAY
I love receiving compliments from strangers. It leaves the widest smile on my face and I swear I feel so much lighter like I’m floating around. However, I never think to give a compliment to someone else who I don’t know. So, whenever you see the cutest outfit or the perfect lip combo, make sure to say it!
For those who may be shy in those kinds of interactions, practice saying it in your head. You don’t have to say it out loud to them, but thinking positively of other people will reflect on how you think about yourself.
That is it for this post, thank you for reading until the end ♥︎ Until next time, take care of yourself ᡣ𐭩ྀིྀི₊ ⊹

Sharper Focus and Clearer Thinking: My Experience with NeuroActiv6
I Use NeuroActiv6 for a Cognitive Boost
For years, I'd struggled with brain fog and a general lack of focus. Juggling work, family, and personal commitments left me feeling mentally drained, and it impacted my productivity and overall well-being. I tried various strategies to improve my cognitive function, from getting more sleep to implementing focus techniques. While these helped to some extent, I still felt like I was operating at less than my full potential.
Natural Ingredients Backed by Science
That's when I came across NeuroActiv6. What initially drew me to this supplement was its focus on natural ingredients, all supported by scientific research. I'm wary of synthetic solutions, and NeuroActiv6 boasts a blend of vitamins, superfoods, and nootropics – all designed to support cognitive function. Some of the key ingredients include Ashwagandha, known for its adaptogenic properties, Citicoline, which plays a role in brain cell health, and Lion's Mane mushroom, which has been linked to improved memory and focus. The fact that NeuroActiv6 is FDA-approved further instilled confidence in its safety and efficacy.
Enhanced Focus and Improved Memory
Since incorporating NeuroActiv6 into my daily routine, I've noticed a significant improvement in my cognitive function. My focus has become noticeably sharper. I'm able to concentrate on tasks for longer periods without getting easily distracted. This has been a game-changer, especially when it comes to tackling complex projects at work. Additionally, I've experienced a positive impact on my memory. Recalling information feels easier, and I'm less prone to forgetting important details.
Reduced Brain Fog and Increased Mental Clarity
One of the most welcome changes I've experienced is a reduction in brain fog. That sluggish, foggy feeling that used to cloud my thinking is mostly gone. In its place, there's a newfound sense of mental clarity. I feel more alert and engaged throughout the day, which has improved my overall mood and energy levels.
Finding the Right Supplement for You
It's important to note that everyone's experience with supplements is different. What works for me may not necessarily have the same effect on you. However, if you're looking for a natural way to support your cognitive function, I highly recommend giving NeuroActiv6 a try. Just remember to consult with your doctor before starting any new supplement, especially if you have any pre-existing health conditions.
