Pause pause pause just found out Glowstick Entertainment is going against Monster Energy in court. Reason being the word “Monster” is used in there game title “Monster and Mortals” so Monster Energy is filing a lawsuit.

Monster said their reason for suing is because “the game is confusingly similar to their drink”. I have no words. Vince said he’ll be taking on this case and will post updates on his twitter I believe.

Hopefully this trial goes smoothly. This is to spread the word of the shenanigans this drink company is causing and shall also be a big middle finger to Monster Energy. Congrats you’ve gained a new hater!

I can never find myself see the same perspective with the khr fandom of how the girls' role in the future arc is supposed to be misogynist.

Like, what's wrong with doing chores? What wrong with providing basic necessities like food and clean clothes? What's wrong with "We do our part so you boys can go fight in the battlefield"? What's wrong BEING THE SUPPORT IN THE REAR? Asking any generals from any countries out there, how important the rear detachment of supplying contribute to the overall win. Actually no, just reread the arc again and see how a mess it is after the girl boycotts.

And Kyoko and Haru are civilians. They don't go through Kokuyo arc. They don't go through the Ring Battle. They have zero battle experience. They are not reduced to the "housework", that implies they can do something else other than the housework. No, the housework is the ONLY thing they can do. Can they fight like Tsuna? No. (And remember at the strength level of Tsuna he still has fucking hell time with this battle) Can they activate their flame? No. Can they maintain or fix the weapon? No. What they can do is providing everyone with food so they have energy to be stronger to fight in this battle. If they are pushed to the fight with Millifiore their fate would be an absolute death. So really, forcing Kyoko and Haru to fight and it would result in: 1) their death or 2) the boys defending them which would lead to more burden onto the boys. (Bonus to this, stop dreaming of the girls being badass kicking ass. Natural born hitman like Yamamoto and monster like Hibari still have to train like hell to fight with the Millifiore. How many years would it take for Kyoko and Haru to reach 1/10 of their power? There is absolutely no way for them to be like hella fucking strong fighters in mere few days so they can stand side by side with Tsuna's gang on this)

Tl;dr:

1) Asking the girl to fight in the future arc is a hella impossible task.

2) They are doing what they can do. Underestimating their supporting role is an insult to every rear detachment workers in general and provisions department people in specific.

3) Underestimating their roles in the future arc because they do chores, the only thing they can do, and telling they have to fight in the front line aka something they can't do, is actually a mysogynist mindset itself. Also sum up as "if a female character can't fight and they can only support then they are fucking useless."

And finally: let supporter be supporter people. If you write an alternative universe when Kyoko and Haru being absolute monster from the very beginning, sure, do whatever you want with their role in the future arc. But let them be supporters in canon. There is nothing wrong with them being supporter, they are doing their best.

OK, so we all agree that Legacy is a mothcat, yes. But I JUST KNOWW that Ajax is a fox, same software but much more obnoxious when he wants to.

So, while moth is cuddling you for a long while and dearest Ajax gets bored of hanging out in the back of his mind he just goes and boycotts cuddling time by taking over their shared body.

He's the kind to start poking you because he's bored and wants to do something. Knowing him, he's taking you out on long ass hikes, smh. No peace until he burns some energy. Give him attention, he's bored.

Legacy is content with cuddles and naps 90% of the time but he comes with a restless ginger that is in fact physically incapable of staying still for ten minutes on a good day.

if there's one thing you've learned, it's to be ready for anything, sudden changes of activity being on the top of that list. Foul Legacy often plucks control of their shared body from Ajax as easy as breathing, but the hijacking goes both ways, and if Ajax spontaneously decides that he wants to go outside, he will. he doesn't exactly drag you, though, instead preferring to squeeze you tightly when he's the one in your arms again. he nuzzles his face against yours, giving you wide, pouting eyes until you finally sigh and relent, his expression lighting up with a cheeky grin. THEN he picks you up and runs outside, happy as can be. Ajax pokes and bugs and annoys you with a type of mischievous delight, always taking you in his arms for an adoring hug afterwards. it's messy and a little rough, but once he gets all the energy out his hands turn soft as they cup your cheeks. sometimes there's a little blood, sometimes not- you never know with him

even when you're inside and just sitting on the couch together, Ajax constantly changes positions and fidgets. but he keeps one thing constant- he's always near or pressed against you somehow, whether it be leaning against your shoulder, having his head on your legs, or even holding you in his lap. he's always there, always around you, sometimes peeking over your shoulder and sometimes just soaking in your presence. occasionally he pokes you, gently, nudging his head against you with a pleading gaze. that's when he wants your attention, and your hand raises and plonks onto his head, ruffling his fluffy ginger hair. Ajax hums with a smile, nuzzling against you and closing his eyes. only then does he relinquish control, Foul Legacy appearing in a delicate crackle of violet electricity, looking VERY sulky and put out. but it fades when you begin to scritch behind his horns, your Abyssal monster's wings fluttering and flittering as he begins to purr again

Noury is one of the thousands Palestinians injured by the Israel military, and one of the hundreds of thousands of Palestinians that has suffered because of the Israeli occupation.

If the genocide, the death and destruction of *lives*, hasnt been enough to speak out about Palestine, youre no better than the monsters and villains in history.

Noury wont be able to draw, as she said in her post. She was an artist, she is a person, and shes suffering more than some of us could even imagine.

Noury needs surgery, desperately. However, shes not able to get it. Theres little, if any, medicine in gaza, including pain medication and surgical supplies. Theres no water, even dirty, to wash out the wounds.

Because most Palestinians go days without eating, their energy is practically nonexistent. Their bodies cant heal wounds like normal, they keep bleeding because their bodies are too weak, and their internal systems cant fight infection. I have hope for Noury, but her body likely isnt strong enough to fight by itself.

Remeber that its not just Noury thats suffering, many have died because of their wounds, and many are suffering from things we wouldnt even think about in our daily life. Lice, chicken pox, etc.

Dont stop calling and texting your representatives, keep showing up to protests, be loud, be disruptive, and boycott no matter how they pretend to change. Lives are taken every day, even one post can call attention to it.

Watching people prefer to spend their energy on creativity because something doesn't feel right to them (Miracolous/HH/HB) is interesting when your biggest concern is that many fundraisers don't get done and people have to wait for it to get done , not sure whether they will die today… I know, dark thoughts…

Or seeing drama because the creator led the character than they wanted (Tia… I was with Chloe myself, although it wouldn't be so bad if Thomas didn't act like a child… THE CHARACTER HE HATES IS A CHILD, although we should be critical here, because it's an animation for children and has a fucked up message, but it's weird when it comes to adult productions like HH/HB, you don't have to be a fan of Vivzipop to facepalm over this… PEOPLE, IT TAKES PLACE IN HELL, WE KNOW PEOPLE SUCK THERE)

I think the strangest drama was about Alastor being asexual and it was so dramatic that it made you shake your head.

The second stupidest drama is about the art style being too detailed (Oh yes, because we have erased the medium of animation as an art… Great)

For boycott reasons, does anyone know any good, independent, alternatives to coca cola?

I really like local/independent stuff even before this, but the only independent sodas I could find were either fruit based or root beer/cream soda/etc. I'd like to find a non generic cola if possible. And US based. Whenever I try searching, I either find stuff like "Coca Cola's competitors, such as Proctor and gamble and Monster Energy" which... is not it. or "Healthy alternatives to Soda, did you know it has SUGAR???" which also is not it. I thought I found one once, but when visiting the site I saw something about a coca cola account so... it was unfortunately a subsidiary. Anyone have any good recommendations?

...On the voting discourse going on, I have a few thoughts I may as well articulate.

Like, firstly... witholding votes as a way of "punishing" the Dems or getting people to engage with alternate political systems hasn't worked. Like, ever.

If anything they've seen it as carte-blanche to go further right while ignoring the reasons why their "base" is disengaging due to the awful Skeksis running the party.

Granted an organized "boycott" of the Dems could theoretically work, but if we had an org powerful enough to do that (Which we don't at the moment), we could probably spend our time way more productively in other ways.

Like, I do not get why we think that "vote shaming" will work for us when it works for the Dems...

...But that's not to say I have many nice things to say about the whole "Vote for the lesser evil" dynamic either. Because "telling people not to vote doesn't work" and "telling people to vote for the lesser evil doesn't work" are statements that can very much coexist!

Like, even beyond the burnout as things still keep getting worse, there's people who the US state has never done a decent thing for, and of course people who's families overseas Biden is currently paying for the bombing thereof.

Like,from talking to them, the "read Settlers" sort of leftists often have very good reasons from their personal lives for being as pessimistic about voting's capacity to change things as they are. Especially those who're marginalized and living in the South, they have every right to be disillusioned and angry with the society of the racist; bigoted monsters they're surrounded by.

To hold that wonkish realpolitik "hold your nose" as a cudgel those people is not only more than a little ghoulish, but more relevantly ineffective. You're not going to get past trauma with Facts and Logic (TM)

Like, relating to @mostlysignssomeportents idea of activism, if activism is an ant moving forward on its legs against the flood, and one of the legs can't go any further, they should probably try to find where the other legs can go without the other one going into the drink.

I hate the world we live in. It’s hard to be hopeful in a world that is so hellbent on destruction and control. Humanity will always strive for a better future, a better world but there will always be people who are so consumed by greed & power that they’ll do just about anything to get what they want, leaving a trail of unspeakable horror and destruction in their wake for the eyes of all generations young and old to bare witness. What’s happening in Palestine is barbaric, it’s genocide, it's murdering thousands of innocent men, women & children. Rishi Sunak does not speak for me nor the United Kingdom as a whole, he speaks only for himself and those that support the destruction & slaughtering of the Palestinians. This is a humanitarian crisis. How can anyone support the brutal killing of human beings? I cannot imagine the heartbreak, the suffering that the people of Palestine, those that are living in other countries watching those risking their life to bring us news of Palestine hearing the news of their families, their people being killed & slaughtered. All i know is that I am deeply saddened, enraged that this is happening. There is so much going on in the world. It's hard to be hopeful when corrupt people are in power. Have the means & access to funds to fuel their actions. It's hard to be hopeful, but we have to be hopeful. They will try to silence them, they will try to silence us, they've already done so by cutting off their energy supply, their power, their water we have to keep fighting, keep screaming, keep protesting, keep screaming at the top of our lungs for them to stop. And there are some interesting brands concerning F1, like Amazon (AWS in particular, which is used for F1 data), Monster Energy (LH sponsor) and Oracle (Red Bull Racing Sponsor).

So glad I don't pay to watch F1 any more.
