Random headcanons on the Weston boys

Okay since Weston anime is out, I’ll be sharing some headcanons I’ve collected during 10+ years of being obsessed with this saga and its characters.

I’ve been so invested into these headcanons that I consider them to be canon at this point. Anyway please don’t be mad if they don’t match your personal headcanon, it’s still my own interpretation and silly ideas about characters that don’t belong to me so anyone can disagree.

First I’m gonna write down the ones that involve more than one character, then I’ll be more specific and list them by character.

Brace yourselves for a pile of totally self-indulging blabbering.

Lawrence and Edgar are canonically childhood friends (Yana confirmed it), I like to think they grew up together thanks to their mothers being best friends with each other.

While Lawrence and Edgar already knew each other since birth, they met Herman and Gregory during their first year at Weston.

Because of the rivalry, friendship between students from different dorms has always been rather frowned upon, so the boys decided to put all their efforts in becoming the best students of their respective dorm to one day become Prefects and be free to meet and be friends without being judged by other students.

To freely chat and keep in contact prior to becoming P4, they secretly exchanged letters hidden among the library’s textbooks.

While we know Lawrence has 7 sisters, Edgar and Herman don’t have any sibling, while Gregory has an older brother. He’s doesn’t talk about him often as they’re not very close and don’t get along well.

Gregory met Cheslock while he was at his 3rd year (Cheslock is one year younger). They often spent their free time in their dorm’s common room, Cheslock would practice violin and Gregory would silently sit near him while drawing. One day he made a portrait of Cheslock and left it near him as a gift with the encouraging inscription “Keep playing”. The next day Cheslock asked him if he had any request for him on what to play, and that’s how they started talking to each other.

Headcanons by single character

Edgar:

His zodiacal sign is sagittarius

He has a sweet tooth and would live on sweet food alone

His maternal grandmother is french

His noble title comes from his mother, who is a Viscountess and older sister to Viscount of Druitt

He’s either pan or gay

Lawrence:

His zodiacal sign is capricorn

He’s ambidextrous (he usually writes with his right hand but is more comfortable doing other activities with his left one)

His sisters’ names are: Isabel (6 years older than him), Deborah (4 years older than him), Madelyn (2 years older than him), Adela (the only one to have a canonical name, 5 years younger than him), Rebecca (the one who has a crush on Edgar, 7 years younger than him), Rosalind and Amelia (identical twins, 9 years younger than him)

His father is a banker

Pretty sure he’s either ace or gay

Herman:

His zodiacal sign is libra (though I feel like aries might suit him better)

He took after his mother the most

He’s notoriously good at many sports, but he’s not very good at dancing (he’s not graceful enough for that kind of activity)

He’s good at cooking

He’s either a straight ally or a disaster bi

Gregory:

His zodiacal sign is cancer (mayhap also aquarius could suit him tho)

He used to wear charcoal and inks as make-up in his early years at Weston

His father is a politician

He’s kind of a picky eater and doesn’t like meat and seafood

He’s 100000% ace-spec

Cheslock:

His zodiacal sign is scorpio

His iconic “scar” is actually make-up, though beneath it he does have a smaller scar on his left eyelid, which is the result of a quarrel with his sister when they were kids

His father is a surgeon

His full name is Victor Theodore, which he hates

Pretty sure he’s bi

I might add more in the future, though I don’t have many headcanons for other characters but who knows.

Riddle, Vil: A Family Affair

Riddle’s vignettes are so… interesting?? We can see how he’s trying to take small steps to have more agency. I like to think that, very slowly, he’s coming into his own as a young man, an entity separate from his mother.

It’s nice that Riddle’s Groovy shows him in a fun pose. You’d think that someone as strict as him wouldn’t want to fly abnormally, but you can tell it's a manner that's unique to him. Riddle may be upside down like Floyd is in his own Broomquet Groovy, but you can tell that there is a marked difference between the two. Riddle’s holding bis broom in a much more secure way, which is reflective of his personality, whereas Floyd is much more precarious in his pose. It reflects their personalities well!

And now we wait for Jamil’s Birthday Platinum Jacket SSR… 👀

A Boy in Bloom, and his Flowering Future.

“What do you want to do in the coming year?”

Riddle cleared his throat and stood straight as he provided his reply. He was the model student, interviewee... and, of course, birthday boy. "I would like to expand my culinary knowledge."

Vil arched a perfectly sculpted brow. "Judging by your prompt response, I take it that you studied the interview questions and prepared suitable answers for them in advance. How like you--but what a surprise that you have a goal that isn't related to school. You're infamous for your tenacity in that regard."

"I-I am capable outside of the realm of academics too!" Riddle hastily said with a frown. “… Though I admit I may be lacking in some departments. That is precisely why I would like to dedicate time and energy to strengthening my areas of weakness.”

"Oh, please. You can't possibly be as nightmarish at cooking as..." Vil paused, shuddering, "Lilia is."

The birthday boy paled at the mention of his senior. Lilia, who left kitchens looking like a natural disaster had torn through an active warzone. Lilia, who tossed in everything under the sink and then some. Lilia, who was known across campus for all manner of food borne illnesses and poisonings.

"Surely not!!" Riddle insisted. "I know how to read and follow a recipe! The issue lies in flexibility. Trey is able to make an entire meal just from leftovers, but I wouldn't be able to do the same."

"My, if you're concerned about food waste, couldn't you simply ask Trey to teach you? I'm certain he wouldn't refuse you. That man is too nice for his own good."

"Perhaps that's true. But even so... this is a skill I'd like to learn for myself. I don't want to become overly reliant on others' strength. What I must cultivate first and foremost is my own. To that end, I plan on enrolling in more Master Chef courses during my time at NRC. There are many styles of cooking I've yet to master. For example, Trey prepares meals that are very different from that of my mother."

"How so?"

"Well..." Riddle hesitated. The way he gnawed at his lower lip reminded Vil of an anxious rabbit--a far cry from the self-assured dorm leader he knew Riddle as.

"Mother cooks with nutrition as her priority. She is very health conscious and goes out of her way to ensure that I am eating what I need. When I am studying at home, she brews tea to drink. It's rare that my entire family comes together for a meal, given that we're all busy.

"Meanwhile, Trey's food is... I can't quite put a finger on it, but it's flavorful and fun, yet balanced. The experiences are unique from my time at home. Sometimes it's something warm, hearty, and comforting like hamburger steak. Sometimes it's something hopelessly indulgent and loaded with sugar, like tarts decorated with jewel-like fruits."

"Your eyes are shining." Vil smirked. "You enjoy his cooking that much?"

"I don't understand it myself," Riddle replied, scrunching his brows. "When Trey cooks, people are lured by the smell and gather around the table, wanting to join for the meal. It happened the other day when I was to eat with him and Cater. Ace and Deuce barged in on us, and... well, I suppose it wasn't all bad. We had a delightful conversation over lunch. There's something magical about that."

"There is a different feeling to eating with others than alone," Vil agreed with a slight nod. "My father and I can hardly align our schedules, so it's rare that we can sit down and eat together. Then again, maybe it's that rarity that makes us appreciate those moments all the more."

"That's right. It's a special spell that I realized I can't reproduce. Just memorizing the recipes and recreating them... that alone isn't enough."

"Fufufu, so you want to master that kind of 'magic'. That's surprisingly cute of you."

"N-No, you're mistaken! While it's true that cooking would come in handy for entertaining guests, it'd primarily be for self-sufficiency. After all, it's not as though I can always ask Trey or my mother to cook for me." Riddle shifted from one foot to another. "Someday, I'll have to move out of my dorm as well as my house, and live independently as a fine adult."

"Yes, cooking is an essential skill for that distant future. Have you already started on making those arrangements?"

"Er, not yet. I've been looking into it, but to actually take those first physical steps is... that is, I don't know how my mother would react."

"She sounds very stern from what you've told me of her. However, every mother must let her child go eventually."

"Maybe so, but I have never known my mother to back down from her beliefs. She's... not a woman you want to challenge." Riddle's voice strained at the final word. It was the lightest way he could put it, too afraid to acknowledge the whole truth. "I've tried to get her to hear me out, but..."

"If you can't draw that line in the sand now, then when? It will only make things more difficult for you when you start live alone."

"I'm fully aware of that." He couldn't bring himself to say more.

Vil sighed, bringing a hand to his temple. "... Listen, Riddle. Think of life as a stage, and you as the actor upon it. Worried about how the audience will react to your performance, working tirelessly to hone your craft.

“When the lights dim and the cameras turn off, the staff and the audience leave the theatre. You’ll be left only with your own thoughts. The onlookers may have one impression of you—but when the curtains fall, so long as you are proud of who you are away from the public eye, that, I think, is a sign of true maturity.

“If it’s courage and confidence that you seek, then you must work toward it. Never let your eyes stray from it. Even should the world deprive you of a happy ending, you must claw for it, believing that, someday, it will be yours.”

“Vil-senpai… Is this your way of encouraging me to see my goals through to the very end?”

His upperclassman scoffed. Thin, soft—like a rose petal, almost imperceptible as it passed upon a breeze.

“Think of it what your will. I merely speak from my own experience,” Vil replied. “We are both prideful NRC students at our very cores. Standing strong on our own two feet is something we all desire. That we can one day recognize that dream… It goes for us all.”

“Recognizing a dream, hm?”

How curious. I wondered not too long ago if it was really possible. Now, here I am, taking those first, small baby steps. A world where I can think for myself, live by my own rules… It sounds like a wonderland within my reach.

Soon, but not yet.

“… One day,” Riddle whispered to himself. “One day, I’ll be the person I want to be.”

Not the person I’m told to be.

A palm came against his back—a pat from Vil. “Really, I thought the dorm leader of Heartslabyul would know better than to mumble. You’re usually so good at barking at your card soldiers. Do remember to speak up—now, and forevermore.”

“I don’t recall asking for your advice.” Riddle brushed off his touch, stepping forward with his broom at the ready. Still, he chuckled. “… But yes, I will work on gathering my courage so that I may be comfortable leaving the nest. Thank you for your concern, senpai.”

“Ara, what cheek.” Vil tossed his golden locks. “If I’m to share the stage with you, then of course your skills must be on par with mine. Don’t you dare disappoint me, understood?”

“Hmph, when have I ever been the type to fall short of meeting expectations? Observe.”

Riddle confidently mounted his broom, assuming the position he had practiced many times over. There was a diagram of this exact pose in the mountain of textbooks he had in his dorm room. Straddling the handle between the legs, arms straight and steady, one hand gripped over the other, elbows locked.

He could have been the textbook diagram himself.

When Riddle looked up, he saw the vast sky, sunlight spilling across the sea that surrounded the island. Sunset on its way to soon paint the day with darkness.

The sky… It connects many different places and people. The future is stretching out before me, chalk full of possibilities.

Then… I can try, can I? To soar, to break free. Just this once…!!

Riddle’s hold on his broom tightened.

He called forth his magic, letting it pool around him in a shower of scarlet sparkles. The power collected, coalescing as a tingling warmth dancing across his skin, until he at last unleashed it in one burst. Like a cap popped off on a bottle.

Riddle buckled off, propelling into the air in a corkscrew motion. Rose petals fell free from his bouquet, perfuming the summer sky with them.

“Whew���!”

He stopped spinning, flying forward upside down. The world shifted, shapes and colors rearranging into a new perspective. His head and vision spun, seemingly colliding all of his senses against one another.

A moment or two later, and they had rattled neatly into place.

Riddle looked again, taking it all in. Rich gold dappling the grand spires of Night Raven College, the honeyed aroma of roses, the wind from on high tickling his lashes. The delicious freedom of flying freely.

“… Hah.”

Who knew it could taste so sweet?

Okay, if you were asked who are in Merlin BBC & Voltron that you can see based on canon that are gay/bi/pan/demi, which characters are they? Why?

What a fun ask I'm totally not doing to procastinate on cooking... XD

BBC Merlin

Arthur Pendragon is, in my head, demiromantic and bisexual... It sort of depends on the circumstances/episode. Arthur needs a very long time to really feel connections with people and only starts to consider love after he really gets to know them, hence his constant search for true love in the show. With Merlin I'm not entirely sure if he was attracted to him instantly, strangely enough feeling a connection from the moment they met, or if it takes him till the end of the series when Merlin confesses his magic and finally shows his true self to realise the depth of his feelings.

Merlin is, well... Bi Bi Bi. A disaster bi in fact. With a preference for sweaty men in metal boxes, he's not very peculiar. However, Merlin is a one person hyperfixation kind of guy. Most people are convinced that Merlin's gay.

Gwen: I feel like most people in BBC Merlin are bi and Gwen is no exception. Like Merlin, she prefers the hero type in metal uniforms. But she also had a thing for Morgana in the beginning.

Morgana: lesbian. I have never seen a woman so disinterested in men, I'm not surprised that they casted Katie McGrath in supergirl as supergirls love interest. I might settle for homoromantic and asexual. But definitly in love with Gwen in the very beginning.

Sir Leon, my beloved, the immortal, the one and only, the eternal suffering aro/ace. I don't have to explain this one. The only counter moment is the Lamia episode where Leon suddenly develops interest in women out of nowhere. My personal take is that anyone could be fallen under a Lamia's spell, this one just had a taste for men (and male presenting).

Sir Elian: once upon a time I clocked them as nonbinary and sadly that's as far as I thought into this character. Pretty sure he's aromantic. He/they pronouns. I dunno, I don't think Elian would conform to anything if given a choice. Aromantic too, I think. Like Leon, there is no interest there, but he does play around with Percival and Gwaine quite often, so I'd take that as allosexual.

I am excluding Gwaine because I think canon Gwaine is written as a straight oblivious fuckboy. Albeit a kind one XD fanon Gwaine is often poly/ pan... Or into apples. Lmao XD and I'm not sure about Percival because the man has a dead wife and kids.

Voltron

Keith: with his lack of interest in women, he can only be gay. That man looks at no one quite the same as he looks at Lance. what the hell was the whole bonding thing if not a hint for post canon klance? Sorry, not sorry XD rivals to best friends to lovers.

Lance: *bi bo bi* bisexual lighting Lance. Doesn't matter if you prefer klance or shallura, this man is a walking bi flag. I don't know what you mean by proof, just look at this wiggly boy with the fingerguns. He can't even sit straight! Can't do math either. He's perfect!

Shiro: probably the only character in my entire history of shipping that I would unqueer without feeling bad about it. I know he's gay, I just don't really see it in the writing. Of course there aren't always clear signs that someone is gay which is why this is good rep actually (+he's married), but you asked me for proof in the show and all I see is that this man is a dad. That's his gender and his orientation and that's all I really need to know.

Pidge: aro/ace because I love my aroaces and this child loves robots and robots only. Also nonbinary/genderqueer. Pronouns: fuck/off XD

I think Lotor should have been bi. Pre-canon Lotor had us Langsters ship Lotor x Lance and it was so much fun :D

Bob: gender: evil, orientation: villain. I hate this guy

Coran: the georgous man is either gay or pan. More likely pan because I vaguely remember he had a son?

AU #12 (Nona Di Angelo)

I could not tell you where this one came from, but then, most of these are me getting dragged by my unconscious into funky stories

-anyway, mortal au

-Nico's family is him, Hazel, and their grandma

-nona di angelo is only really related to Nico, but she loves Hazel

-obvs the sibs love their nona, she's the best

-however, with Hazel on college and Nico working several jobs to support nona, neither sibling sees her much

-Nico reaches out to Reyna, who reaches out to Piper who takes care of her in small ways (she can handle herself, but she's an eldery woman and her body doesn't always agree with her)

-one day though, the lights go out on them, and if they call for professional help they might not get fixed any time soon

-so Piper calls Leo, who's there in seconds after her short explanation, and then he has the lights fixed in minutes

-he's invited to stay for dinner, and only agrees after nona acepts his help cooking

-they totally exchange recipes, and Leo gives her his number for any other mechanical misshaps

-"I work for good food and gossip"

-nona totally invites him again, and they totally become quick friends

-Leo tries pick-up lines on her and she's visceral with her criticism, but it sort of becomes their thing

-she does her best at learnign how to work with machines, and he's always ready to compliment and advice her

-Piper def notices and starts handing him her tasks, which he does bc he likes nona

-also he knows piper's been missing out on having free time for herself

-they gossip to each other, nona abt her book club or something, and Leo abt his coworkers and clients at his job

-Nona, an ally: why don't you have a partner? | Leo *bi disaster*: I'm too ugly

-nona is ready to throw hands with whoever hurt this boy

-Leo meets Hazel first, and the great grandparents thing goes both ways, and she has this old photo abt it

-it's a little weird but she's cool so Leo befriends her

-by the time Nico finds out, Leo's already besties with two out of three women in his life

-Nico totally thinks Leo's trying to get into Hazel's pants at first, even though Leo's nona's friend first

-Nico *protective brother mode*: wow, try hard must work so well for you | Leo *offended*: yeah, yeah, I'm too ugly to get any, can I fix your granma's ac now? | Nico: ?????

-you know that Nico thinks Leo's hot shit, like he thinks Hazel would date him, obvs he thinks he's attractive

-Nona totally smaks him when she finds out

-he finds out Leo meant the ugly thing, and is like, 'what the hell?'

-Nico: sorry I was an ass I thought you were trying to bang my sister | Leo: you thought I could bang your sister? have you seen her?? | Nico *gay disaster*: I've seen you!

hello hello!! hope you're doing well <3 so i saw ships were open again... and i did get one as an anon a while ago, but the format has changed for the 10k so back i am for your amazing writing <3

i'd love to be shipped with someone from the boys!! (i do feel bad requesting for specific characters even though it's incredibly easy to see who i want to smooch in this show. i love them all though and above all love to see authors get creative. go crazy go bonkers. ok with any character but the deep, homelander, stormfront, and firecracker.)

i'm a bi & ace jewish brazilian girl, 1.72m tall, with long, straight, brown hair (that i've always thought about dying but always chickened out of). no tattoos, even though i have a list of which ones i'd get and what do they mean. i'm from brazil but currently go to college in new york, majoring in theatre and minoring in translation. i'm fluent in portuguese and english, learning french, and have the life objective of becoming a polyglot.

i'm in love with theatre, literary analysis, linguistics, music, writing, and art in general — will absolutely ramble about anything i am interested in, and also might have strong opinions on stuff that maybe i didn't need to have a strong opinion on 💀 i can get a bit combative about that at times... i definitely take as my biggest skill, besides singing and acting which are quite literally my intended job (i want to be a musical theatre actress), eloquence and just my way with words (toxic trait is believing i'd talk my way out of a murder fr fr). friends that know me more recently would even say i'm an extrovert because of that, but honestly i am a pile of nerves of an introvert with social anxiety that simply loves yapping and putting on a show. most notable quirk/habit might be how precise i always am with finding the right words because i simply cannot leave an opening for misinterpretation (and that's on anxiety and a suspicion of undiagnosed adhd oops); that might lead me to be a bit picky (for the lack of a better word), specific, and/or literal with the words other people use as well.

other tidbits: i can't cook for shit, i love cats (i have a rescue named lily) but also like dogs a lot, i love kids and have been told i'm good with them. i'm crazy lucky for some reason and i love crime comedy movies. i'm almost always writing or thinking about writing but i can't ever finish a project (and you may have realized by now i write too much). i love arts & crafts & other manual activities, i do knot friendship bracelets to de-stress. my default hangout with anyone ever is grabbing coffee. i'm also pretty proud of my music taste — from alt rock to 40s-50s music, love curating the vibes and i'm a bit of a playlist freak. also i would 100% show brazilian music (mostly rock and mpb, brazilian popular music) to whoever i'm paired with 💥🇧🇷

when it comes to love life oh boy i am a disaster — the two situations i have ever gotten myself into were the objective hottest girl i know and the weirdest guy i've ever come across (and both are my good friends atm). for me doing something creative, like a project together, is the quickest way to bond; and being in cahoots with someone is the deepest form of connection. let's ramble about our interests, be weird together, cause a diplomatic crisis, watch a movie, write something, idk.

Annie is actually blown away by both your love of and intelligence with languages. She's always trying to learn both Portuguese and French sayings (mostly nicknames/"I love you") to surprise you. She loves the look of joy on your face when you realize what she's trying to say. Her pronunciation could use some work, but it's still very adorable

It melts Annie's heart when she sees you around children. She knows it can be a lot, with kids and their parents running up to her, asking her for pictures, showing off their Starlight costumes. She would understand it got a little exhausting. But you have never minded, instead you ask them questions and make them laugh, telling them they're little superheroes, too

Annie feels like she can truly be herself around you. After all those years with the religious conventions and the time she spent with Vought, she was never allowed to be herself. She couldn't show off her real laugh that's squeaky and high-pitched. She couldn't swear as a teenager or say all the crude jokes she thought of. With you, though, she can let loose. She doesn't have to uphold this image like she's had to her whole life

You and Annie are as equally terrible at cooking. You make a plan to cook together, learning recipes and measurements. Sometimes the food gets burned, or worse, under cooked, and a few times you've had to split it out, wondering where you went wrong? But, overall, it builds your skills together and it makes you feel better about your lack of skills

Annie comes to every show you're in at least three times. She'll bring Hughie and Kimiko first, then M.M. and Frenchie, and the third time she goes along, wanting to see you in your glory, feeling like this moment belongs to her. She shows up with flowers every time and tells you parts and songs she's loved as if you hadn't spent weeks practicing lines and songs with her. She's so proud of you, she can't contain herself. She definitely happy cries at the end when you take your bows!

When he was in high school/college his sleep schedule was pretty fucked since he stayed up late studying and working on homework. He’s woken up with his notes plastered to his face multiple times. Luckily once he got out of the Academy he didn’t have any schoolwork to worry about so he started getting an actually consistent sleep schedule.

I mentioned this before but I feel like his taste in music is like 2000s/2010s pop, sometimes pop rock. His favourite band is ARASHI and he has a poster he got in high school in his closet.

He can’t really cook for himself, he’s tried a few times but he doesn’t really like the food he makes so he usually just either gets food at a convenience store or eats out. His favourite thing is his mom’s cooking.

Disaster bi. I don’t really think I need to elaborate too much on this but I also see him as the kind of guy to have have a ton of celebrity crushes. Also I could see him being enby but not realizing and just going “oh everyone hates being called a guy that’s normal”

Her taste in movies is all over the place. I see her as being a fan of both cheesy romcoms and very gruesome horror movies. Idk I think she’d like the SAW franchise.

Idk why but I think she’d like going into pawn shops and getting little trinkets. Like a little ceramic cat or a small teapot or smth. And then she’d proudly display all the stuff she’s collected on her dresser. Idrk I just think she’d like that :>

She’s trans and ace! She figured out she was trans when she was really young and basically just told her parents “hey I’m a girl” and then just corrected anyone who referred to her as anything else. I imagine she knew she was asexual by the time she was in high school but only learned the word for it and that it was an actual thing and not just her when she got older.

She got a tattoo on her back when she was a teenager. She doesn’t regret actually getting it but it does make her get some weird looks whenever she has it visible. I’d imagine the design would be some kind of flower going up from her mid-back to her shoulder, maybe a lotus.

Sorta half-stole this from you (Rin), specifically from this post but I hc her to be like a quarter French from her paternal grandfather. Her grandparents died when she was pretty little but she still has vague memories of her grandfather teaching her stuff, and when she got older she taught herself some of the language/culture.

He's a bisexual disaster. Has had crushes on both Kai and Nya.

The same age bracket as the ninja.

He grew up in the slums of Ninjago City, very poor.

Man has an iron stomach, he can and will eat anything.

A god at makeup. Go to him if you want your eye shadow to look amazing.

He can be rather flirty once he gets comfortable around others, might take him a while to reach that point.

Touch starved, though he won't admit it.

A twink (lol)

Collects knives because he thinks it makes him look cool and edgy.

Taught himself lockpicking as a kid also in an attempt to be cool and edgy, but really he was just trying to impress a crush.

Ace-bi solidarity with Neuro. Also really gets along with Tox. Has a a playful rivalry with Griffin; they race a lot.

Cannot cook without setting something on fire.

Loves animals, especially cats.

Kai loves using PDA to get a ride out of Shade. Shade pretends to hate it, secretly loves it.

Kai is almost always stuck being the big spoon because Shade just likes being cuddled.

Kai loves using pet names and only uses actual names when being serious. Likewise, Shade only uses pet names when being serious.

They do each other's makeup.

Kai is always the one who has to drag Shade out of the house.

Shade is over at the monastery pretty much all the time. Everyone just rolls with it.

Shade's love language is drawing pictures for Kai. Kai keeps each and every one of them.

Shade is the only person allowed to touch Kai's hair, and that's only when Kai is in a good mood.

Between the two of them, they own so much hair gel.

They don't go too public with their relationship because they're not super comfortable with the spotlight.

All right, time for some stoners and one of my favorite little backstories that's barely relevant to TFA. So, as of the latest draft, Zel's brother Zalen, his partner Silas, and their friend Trixie all live in a rowhouse on Hoscha, the island next to Elbas.

Trixie has a jacket covered in patches that she doesn't get to wear much in this tropical climate, but wore all the time back in her northern home city. Her most prized patch is from a combined neighborhood in that city that no longer exists, because it sprung up as an administrative necessity and then split again a few years later when the second neighborhood got richer and more populous. She loves the idea of liminal places and would be the first person to volunteer to go explore an abandoned building even if (maybe especially if) she's high, which she is often is in her off hours.

Where Zel is a disaster bi (she's both but the disaster is more all-consuming), Zalen is a bi disaster, or at least used to be. He's ace but was also that guy in high school who would get out of a relationship and instantly be "in love" with someone else. That spontaneous fall also happened when he became Silas's roommate in college, but then they spent like 12 years living together and he really did fall hard. Despite not being a reformed villain (though he was a villain way back in the earliest drafts of this world), he follows the same pattern of doing something well-meaning but not great and only realizing later that it was not great.

Silas is very sweet and fastidious and excellent at understanding other people's feelings, which means he collaborates easily at a variety of things, like cooking with Trixie, home improvement with Tirias, and being Zel's second brother in a meaningful way. Unfortunately he is not so good with his own emotions, which means he didn't confront his feelings for Zalen until after Zalen graduated and moved to Hoscha with Trixie, leaving Silas with a half-empty apartment and a cushy architect position he didn't feel like he could leave. Ultimately he decided that it didn't matter whether he was in love with Zalen or vice versa because a house without Zalen couldn't feel like home.

- Whenever they get together, contrary to their usual demeanor, they can be rather chaotic

- Expect a lot of drinking

- A lot of elaborate drinking games

- And a lot of philosophical conversations that can range from super serious conversations between a DA and a detective to chats between two women drunk off their asses

- A LOT of encouragement and A LOT of trust in this relationship, damn is it beautiful to see

- A lot of: “Trust your gut”

- “I know you’ve got this”

- “I believe in you”

- “This case is so yours!”

- But also a lot of: “Don’t overwork yourself”

- “Hey, have you eaten?”

- “Please tell me you’re not pulling an all-nighter. Regardless, I won’t let you”

- Both suck at cooking but both are equally willing to keep trying until they one day miraculously succeed

- Until then, takeout it is

- They main Becky’s apartment just because it’s closer to the restaurant from which they order food

- Becky stayed in touch with Finn, being able to now call him a friend

- Felicity’s tolerating him but slowly warming up to him too

- Fun fact: he was the one who talked Becky into asking Felicity to officially be her girlfriend

- Even funnier fact: She owed him twenty bucks cause Felicity said yes

- That’s money she still hasn’t paid him but who cares

- They are by no means clingy or anything, but a phone call whenever they can squeeze one between their work after not seeing each other for 2+ days is enough to put them both at ease

- Getting overly excited when they get to work on the same case

- Count on Becky’s apartment looking like a wreck, aka papers EVERYWHERE

- Finn, who stops by to check on them often, ends up being the poor soul to organize all the files

- Regardless of the mess at home, the two are the most cut-edge, strict and no-nonsense women at work, kicking ass at every case and destroying every obstacle in their way

- Needless to say, the city can rest assured that while there may be a ton of corrupted law enforcement workers, these ladies would be there to prevent disaster

i stumbled across a bunch of old hinata fe hcs i had back in the day and i am compiling them here on the new blog cuz theyre cute and i miss my puppy man

(i’ve also adjusted them a little bit to align more with my current hcs for him)

- hinata is an only child and likes to think of takumi as his little brother

- disaster bi with a slight preference for women, as well as a sex-favorable ace

- i also can’t get the t4t hinata/oboro hc out of my head. it’s so good. honestly the entire ponytail squad is t4t. t4t4t

- kinda sorta had a crush on oboro when he first met her. he got over it real quick when she began showing interest in takumi

- he has, at one point or another, had some sort of crush on every girl in the army. plus subaki, cuz who doesn’t have a crush on subaki?

- actually a pretty good cook. his favorite thing to make is onigiri because it’s easy and takumi loves it

- really, really, really wants a dog

- is deathly afraid of heights. he hides this fact to seem cooler

- *wants to appear manly and cool, loves sunflowers anyway*

- his parents had him not long after they got married, and on the day before their wedding day, his father gave his mother a sunflower. this was the initial inspiration for his name

- they actually thought they were having a girl and planned on naming her himawari, which literally means sunflower. when they had a boy instead, they decided on the name hinata, which has a similar translation

- the reason he wants to travel so badly is his mother used to be a traveling merchant before settling down to start a family. she told hinata all kinds of stories about all kinds of places

- their home is filled with odds and ends his mother picked up on her travels and couldn’t sell

- hina’s mom had kind of a rough life, and he wishes he could undo all of it because she deserves the world in his eyes

- and the reason he loves wide open fields so much is his father used to do his samurai training there (he liked the solitude), and sometimes he’d bring hinata along. hinata strongly associates meadows and fields with his father and all the memories spent sparring and getting stronger there

- the scar under his eye he got from his father while they were training. he still feels bad about it years later

- when i designed hinata’s parents all those years ago i based his dad off of hanzo from overwatch, and now i have a very special place in my heart for hanzo :)

- thanks to all the small injuries and scars he has accumulated over his career, hinata’s pain tolerance is quite high. i mean, have you seen his defense stat?

- getting hurt that often does have its drawbacks, however, and he has a hard time understanding that. he tends to be reckless in battle, especially when takumi’s life is on the line, and gets himself hurt unnecessarily a lot. but he says he’s fine with it because at least takumi is okay

- he initially didn’t want to be takumi’s retainer. he really didn’t have a choice thanks to his lineage and his family’s reputation as protectors of the royal family. he was expected to follow along with that tradition. although he had other plans for himself, (i.e. to travel and just do whatever the hell he wanted) he felt like he couldn’t say no

- takumi had a large inferiority complex even when he was young, and hinata knew that better than anyone. even if he didn’t want to at first, he still cared about him. he had to. takumi’s wellbeing was his wellbeing, whether he liked it or not

- so hinata stuck as close as possible to takumi and tried everything in his power to keep him as happy as possible. soon enough it became second nature and he started acting that way with everyone he met

- despite being really cute and nice and all around an amazing person, he’s afraid nobody actually wants him around because he’s annoying them :(

- god i have so many faves that fall into that “really bubbly and energetic but are afraid of being too annoying and not having any friends” trope. what does that say about me

ofc after doing luke and alex i had to do reggie, so here’s ray adopting reggie hcs!

when ray first finds out about the band, reggie is the first to really start opening up to him, and ray does his best to make reggie feel at home so that the other boys will begin to feel comfortable too

along the vein of pride, ray helps reggie realize he’s bisexual! ray also gets him a guitar strap in the bi colors to match luke’s ace one

reggie starts learning to cook and is actually really good at it, so ray pulls out all of rose’s old recipes and the two of them cook together while jamming out to the band’s songs

during one cooking session reggie spills pasta sauce all over ray. ray, being the adult he is, begins a food fight. julie and carlos return home from school to find that the kitchen is a literal disaster. weeks later they still find sauce in the tile cracks

after luke babysitting carlos was a disaster, ray asks reggie to babysit. reggie’s really good at it and bonds with carlos and so he becomes ray’s go-to babysitter when tía victoria isn’t available

reggie’s really interested in ray’s photography and so ray teaches him the basics and gets him a nice camera to practice with. in turn, reggie helps teach ray the bass as a surprise for julie’s birthday. he’s actually pretty decent at playing and julie and the boys are all impressed

whenever carlos or julie get mad at ray or get in trouble reggie is always the first to talk to ray about it and help them all work things out

when ray finds out reggie didn’t have as many clothes left behind in the studio as the others, ray takes reggie thrifting! they pretty much only get five new pairs of flannel shirts in different colors but reggie loves all of them

the two make thrifting a habit and go on the hunt for cool finds at all the nearest flea markets

ray takes reggie to get his ears pierced when reggie asks. reggie cries a lot but ray holds his hand the whole time and tells reggie how cool he looks when he’s done

ray also finds out from julie that reggie’s been experimenting with her makeup, so with julie’s advice, he buys reggie a bunch of new products he can try out. reggie becomes really good at it and starts doing a bunch of julie and flynn’s looks

speaking of reggie, julie, and flynn, the three have sleepovers all the time that ray eventually crashes. the four of them watch animated movies together and reggie’s favorites quickly become ratatouille and tangled

reggie is the one who convinces ray to start dating again! everyone is super supportive of the idea and ray really starts opening up, which makes julie and carlos really happy. rose will always have a special place in their hearts, but it’s time for ray to get back out there and they all know it
