3. Have you thought about talking to Karlack about this?

4. Your family mutilated you, but they did prevent you from getting discriminated against for being a tiefling. 

[Tiefling 1] You’ve got Karlack and me now. (If Karlack is not a companion: You’ve got me now) (Alysis approves) 

[Tiefling 2] It is difficult to see you as a tiefling, when you haven’t had to experience what a lot of us go through.

–Alysis’ Responses–

1. -she laughs-. True! If we don’t solve this little wriggler my old problems will sluff away as I get that slimy Illithid form.

2 and [Tiefling 1] -she smiles- I appreciate that.

3. She has enough on her plate right now with the engine. My surgical scar can flare up from time to time, but it won’t kill me. Hers. . . Well, you know. 

4. -she frowns- That is the pragmatic way of thinking about it. 

[Tiefling 2] That’s why I keep my horn bases hidden. In some ways I am. . . fortunate.

General 5 & 10, Story 9 for Ahn, Lani and Sylian

__Are there any instances where your Tav can permanently leave the party, depending on player character actions?__

Ahn; i keep typing up stuff with the tieflings, but i just don't know exactly beyond the whole “durge super evil” run. Prob if you betray any of the companions for any reason. You're not trustworthy at that point.

Lani; she's not going to like evil shit, like full evil. She will very much dislike using the tadpole and also leave when you get to a very specific point and choice; if you choose yes, she's going to leave. (unless you're gale, and then she's gonna try to talk him down from doing it)

Sylian; you have to physically/emotionally abuse him. He's not fond of evil shit, but.. It's not a deal breaker.

__Are there any unique NPCs associated with your Tav that can show up during the course of the game?__

Ahn: yes, her brother Max. But not til act 3.

Lani; Peaches. But you only see him in the distance and it's always when you first wake up from a long rest. (in true Bigfoot fashion, he's blurry and far away /obscured by something)

Sylian; his dad, who shows up as a summoned marionette that Sylian hates. If it wasn't so human-like, and you know, an actual dragonborn marionette it'd be okay, but for some reason his dad just thinks the little people-humanoid ones are the cutest. He'll give you some spell scrolls, maybe a useful item or two. If you find him in the grymforge, he will be on fire.

__Do they have unique dialogue if the Player Character lets them die when they steal the Blood of Lathander?__

Ahn; “YOU SON OF A BITCH, WARN ME NEXT TIME! or better yet, DONT FUCKING DO THAT AGAIN!”

Lani; “:( you know that hurt a lot right? I'm not mad, just really disappointed you didn't get some of us out faster.”

Sylian; “... did I die? Shit my appearance runes are gone.. Oh no.” what should take a few months tops happens in 5 seconds and it kinda hurts. Sylian now has a full blown beard, some scraggly chest hair, and well just hair everywhere. “you're going to help me fix this, and by fix this you're going to pay for the entire polysculpt AND then some.”

Gale stops tav to lace their boots, sarcastically tutting as he does it.

Karlach holds her hands round someones bowl and cups to warm them if they cool down too much. (Mama K microwave™)

Jaheira and Halsin share nightcaps and chat about the tadpole team. Mainly laughing at their comparative lack of experience - always ends on a 'they're good eggs tho' vibe.

Astarion and Shadowheart rate people's hair to eachother as an injoke, tav hears them mumbling numbers behind them whenever they speak to someone.

Lae'zel asks Gale to explain and pronounce things when no one is around because the 'annoying wizard' won't make fun, he's too eager to teach.

Jaheira has the best bedtime stories but they get Karlach hyped up and she asks a lot of questions till Astarion begs her to be quiet. Wyll takes mental notes for his own storytelling.

Karlach will force a game of 'I Spy' any time there is silence on the road.

Wyll is very good at little random gifts, he just remembers anything someone mentions to him. He's also low-key emotional if you return that kindness, 'you remembered?! 😭'

Halsin stops, kneels and whispers as he points and shows tav interesting plants or animals he spots when walking. 'look there's the mother and her babies' type shit. (He is camp dad(dy) ok)

Wyll teaches Lae'zel fencing. She's too keen though and tries to pin him down. She is not as graceful... But she has fun... chk!

Gale keeps a tiny portrait of Tara on him, you can't tell me modern au Gale's phone wouldn't be full of cat pics.

Astarion watches over the camp at night, he acts like he 'might as well/ I'm the only one lurking in the dark around HERE darlings' but sometimes he secretly gets a little teary looking at his first real friends all together.

Shadowheart writes moody poetry. She would tell Gale but she doesn't care for his taste... Or his possible critiques. If he ever did find her journal though he would be VERY enthused.

Astarion and tav will play with people's wardrobes when looting. Tav loves a funny hat and Astarion will do impressions of who he thinks would wear such god's awful attire.

Gale and Wyll play chess together after dinner some nights. They both say progressively cheesy lines when they take pieces, which is its own game itself at this point.

Halsin would quietly sing or hum to owlbear baby and scratch at night. Little lullabies and he'd probably tuck them in too. OR he'd be big daddy bear and snuggle up, especially when owlbear is scared and misses his mum.

The gang have played 'never have I ever' ONE time and ONE time only. It was a messy night.

... Jaheira was 100% last man standing.

I adore Halsin with the other companions, but the depth of feeling for Quarter/Tav with how much he's done for him is unmatched. Mans had the world on his back for a hundred years and someone comes in and takes the weight for him without question.

I do really appreciate bg3 having neutral pronouns/the ability to use whatever pronouns regardless of appearance but it's really amusing to me when enemies or npcs I never met gender my tav correctly it feels like this
