More Durge x Tav brainrot. This from the file tentatively titled "Meet Not Cute"

Awareness, when it comes, is a torrent of awful sensations. A horrible pain that beats like a heartbeat in his skull, a wriggling behind his eye that makes his stomach twist, and an overwhelming stench of blood, ash, and sulfur that somehow manages to line both his nose and his throat and his lungs with utter pervasiveness. Most pressing of all is the feeling of something soft and warm tapping him gently but insistently on the tip of his snout. Without opening his eyes he instinctively darts his hand up to grab it. He curls his clawed fingers around the offending thing and hears an accompanying gasp before whatever is in his grasp begins to tug, as if to break free. His eyes slit open and he stares in puzzlement at what he finds.  A woman with wide frightened eyes stares at him cautiously, her struggles giving way to wary curiosity. “Are you,” she licks her lips, eyes flicking down to where his hand encircles her wrist. “Are you still…you?”  The question should not be difficult but when he tries to pull an answer from his mind about who exactly he is a sharp pain jolts him so suddenly he releases her wrist in favor of clutching at his own head, grunting at the vicious agony.  “Well the other one didn’t react like that so I suppose you are.”  “The…other?” He shakes his head to clear it, his vision smearing around the edges till he can focus back on her. “He came in through that, er, door,” she gestures to a round orifice looking thing set in the wall. “Saw me and charged me with a knife.”  Climbing out of the pod he gives her unimpressive stature a skeptical look. “And you killed him? Impressive.” “What? Oh no!” She gestures to where a pair of legs are sticking out from under a broken pod. “The ship shuddered, I lost my footing and that pod broke loose from the tier above us. Squashed him flat.”  “Hm.”  “Anyway, hello! I’m Tav. Who are you?” “I’m...” He half expects another wave of agony but instead, like a muscle memory, he blurts, “The Dark Urge.” The Dark Urge?  “Oh!” She registers it and scrunches her nose at him. “That’s…that's not a name.”
