Historical notes on Armand’s cultural background in the show
In the interest of not playing fast and loose with South Asian history and geopolitics, I have, to the best of my ability, compiled this guide on Armand as a character in the historical context of the regions and periods he is associated with. I am not an expert on these things, so anyone more educated than me is welcome to suggest edits. Probably the most complex topic here is language, and so that is the section in which I most likely made errors.
While I do have some formal academic training in this area, I must emphasize again that I am not an expert, nor am I native to any of the countries listed here, so I am functioning mostly on outsider knowledge. In the interest of making this accessible, most of this information can also be found on Wikipedia with a quick google search. This is not definitive or exhaustive, but it is meant to encourage people to be conscientious about not slipping into Orientalist thought or discourse when discussing the character (or ever, obviously). Also please remember not to conflate the character and the actor. This may also serve as a tool for fic writers.
Content warning: discussion of slavery/slave trade
(Main content below the cut)
Period and Region
India
Armand tells Daniel in s1e7 that he is 514 in 2022, meaning he was either born or made around the year 1508. He tells both Louis and Daniel that he is from Delhi, or was at least in Delhi when he was abducted. Delhi is a city in Northwestern India that sits on the border between the states of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. (There is an Old Delhi and a New Delhi. These two cities abut and overlap one another. Armand refers to Old Delhi.) Therefore, Armand would have been living in Delhi during the latter years of the Delhi Sultanate, which was an empire of Islamic dynasties that ruled Northwestern India from the late 12th century until the Mughal conquest in 1526. (The Delhi Sultanate also pushed expansion into the south and the east during various periods throughout its reign. Its main opponents were other Muslim kingdoms along with Hindu kingdoms, especially in the south.)
Italy
Armand would have been living in the Republic of Venice during the height of the Venetian Renaissance. Like the Delhi Sultanate, the Republic of Venice was also in its later years during this time, but, although the Republic did face economic and political unrest during this period, they remained the richest city-state in Italy. Marius was a Venetian painter, a contemporary of Tintoretto, according to Armand in season 1. Tintoretto lived from 1518 to 1594. Whether the painting Daniel is examining in the episode was painted before or after Armand’s arrival in Venice is unclear, but we can assume that he was living in Venice as Amadeo in the early decades of the 16th century. The Republic entered its full fledged decline in the 18th century, by which time Armand would have been in Paris.
Language
In India
Armand most likely spoke an early version of Hindustani (likely Hindavi) while living in Delhi, although, according to the books, Armand has mostly forgotten his native language by the time Marius buys him. Hindustani first developed under the Delhi Sultanate, and is still spoken today. Its two main branches today are Hindi and Urdu. (Many other languages are also spoken in India today, including English, Punjabi, Tamil, Bengali, and many more. Sadly, not all of these languages enjoy legal status.)
Armand may have also spoken a dialect of Western Hindi, which was commonly spoken in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, and is an ancestor of Hindustani.
Hindavi and Persian were the official languages of the sultanate.
Hindavi is the most likely due to his region, period, and his Sanskrit name, Arun. Sanskrit is an Old Indo-Aryan language from which many later Indo-Aryan languages are derived. (Sanskrit names are still common in South Asia.)
In Italy and France
However, as mentioned previously, Armand forgets his native language early in life. Therefore, it is unclear whether he counts it among the languages he speaks when he tells Daniel that French was his fifth language.
While in Venice in the books, Armand is trained in classical Latin and Greek, and often communicates in Greek, which was also the canonical language of Eastern Orthodox which he practiced in the books before his abduction. Italian and Venetian were also spoken in Venice at the time, so it is likely that Armand picked up both of those while living there. Even if he only picked up Venetian, he would have learned Italian while living with the Children of Darkness in Rome. Venetian, Italian, and Latin were the official languages of the Republic of Venice.
He tells Daniel that he learned both French and English while living in Paris (making English his sixth language).
Religion
In Dehli
The Sanskrit name Arun also suggests that Armand was from a Hindu family living in Delhi. While having a Sanskrit name does not necessarily preclude his being Muslim, it is just more likely that he was Hindu. The majority religion in Delhi during the sultanate was Hinduism, while Islam was practiced mainly by the elite, although conversion was common. The state religion of the sultanate was Sunni Islam. Christianity, Buddhism, Jainism, and Zoroastrianism were also practiced in the sultanate.
Sanskrit is the canonical language of both Hinduism and Buddhism, but Buddhism was facing persecution during this period, and therefore becoming increasingly rarer in the north.
We can assume that Armand was devoted most likely to Hinduism, or possibly one of the others listed, as Armand is deeply religious in the books.
In Dubai, Venice, and Paris
We do see Armand praying according to Islamic practice in season 1. Even more confusingly, Daniel points out that the phrase “asr namozi” is not Arabic, but perhaps Kazakh. “Asr namozi” is actually an Uzbek phrase referring to the asr prayer, or “afternoon prayer,” in Islam. Why Armand would be speaking Uzbek is lost on me, as nothing else in his history necessarily suggests ties to the region. It could be part of his Rashid disguise to somehow misdirect Daniel. Whatever the case, as a highly intelligent five hundred year old vampire, I’m sure Armand could learn any language he wanted.
While Armand may not have practiced Islam during his life in Delhi, it is entirely possible he later converted. If Armand was Hindu, it would also make sense that he lapsed out of practice in Venice, as, in the books, Armand loses almost all ties to his native culture while in Venice (his name, his language, his religion, etc.) at least partially due to Marius’s influence. Marius’s beliefs are closely aligned with western humanism, and so he discourages Armand from complete devotion to religion. The state religion of the Republic was Roman Catholicism, but Eastern Orthodox, Protestantism, and Judaism were also practiced. There was also a small Muslim population, mainly Ottoman merchants.
The “Children of Darkness,” the vampire cult which kidnaps Armand in Venice and which he later leads in Paris, follows Catholic teachings. In the book and in the show, the cult’s obsession with Satan is explicitly Catholic. Satan is also an adversarial figure in Islam (called “Iblis” or “Shaitan”), so if Armand was a practitioner of Islam before, he likely would have been able to syncretize those beliefs and practices with those of the Children or Darkness. However, by the time Lestat finds Armand, he has lost faith (if he ever had it) in the teachings of the Children of Darkness. The last is true of both the show and the novels.
In the novels, Armand alternates between periods of religious fanaticism and zealotry and total atheism, so it would make sense that, along these oscillations, he would also move between different religions, trying to find the right one. In the books, after Armand meets Lestat, he enters a period of atheism that lasts well into the twentieth century. If the show is following this sequence, then it is likely that Armand’s praying in front of Daniel is just part of his disguise. However, the show clearly is not following the novels’ timeline to a T, so it is also entirely possible Armand is genuinely praying in this scene.
Slave Trade
(Disclaimer: Slavery is, unfortunately, ubiquitous across cultures and time periods. While slavery is deplorable in any context, the intent of this post is not to make moral judgements about any one culture. It is simply to discuss the possible historical context of a fictional character. We ought to condemn slavery wherever we see it, but we ought not to view it as pathological to one culture or another. Slavery is still practiced in various forms today (wage slavery, convict leasing, illegal human trafficking, etc.) Slavery serves a capitalist market, but it can create revenue in other systems as well.)
Slave trade was a major economic practice under the Delhi Sultanate, with the enslaved most commonly being of Turkic or Hindu origin.
(From the Wikipedia page on “Slavery in India.”)

Enslavement of Muslims was far less common under the Delhi Sultanate (although many enslaved people converted to Islam), and so this, again, suggests Armand was most likely a Hindu.
Slave trade was highly regulated under the sultanate, and private slave trade was essentially banned. The exporting of enslaved people on the international market was an important source of revenue for the sultanate, especially during military campaigns. (Slavery continued in the Mughal period, but in somewhat different contexts.)
Therefore, Armand was likely a young Hindu who was abducted in Delhi with sanction from the state and sent overseas to be sold on the international market, landing him in Venice.
However, it is also possible that Armand was abducted by Venetians, as the Republic often sent merchant ships to foreign countries, including India, during this period. The Republic also had many trade outposts and territories in various central and west Asian cities. I am unsure whether this type of trade would have been considered legal or permissible under the sultanate.
In the books, Armand is abducted by the Ottomans and taken to Constantinople/Istanbul to be sold. This is a less likely possibility for the show, given the shift in region.

Muse Info;
Name: Born; Kshama "Sir Pentious" Phaṇin क्षमा फणिन् Anglicized: Chris Pendleton Age: 48 Born: August 8th, 1840, Delhi. Died: August 8th, 1888, Whitechapel. Gender: Intersex, they/them Bisexual Ethnicity: Biracial, Indian/white Occupation: Inventor, engineer, prosthetics. Hobbies: People watching, fashion design, reading, eggs. Family: Egg Bois. They laid them, themself!
Pentious doesn't care too much about having power, not really. But as the foreright currency of hell, well. They want to take care of their Egg Bois. Using their life experience as an inventor, they hope to leave a mark and make sure no one fucks with them. Due to their awkward and ernest tendencies, this usually backfires.
Trying, and failing, to impress people usually ends up with them running away. At their core they are lonely, and don't know how to fix that. Kshama wears their heart on their sleeve, and takes most people at face value when their paranoia doesn't get the better of them.
Living
1840: Born to a father (Christopher aged 40) that doesn't much care for them, Pentious develops a drive to impress through style and intellect. Their mother (Sharda, aged 16) resents them, but comes to love them more than words.
Growing up as an intersex person, Pen was made to adhere to the female gender role by their family. Despite this, skewed towards traditionally masculine pursuits and queer attraction.
Pentious' life is threatened by a maternal uncle. Honor killings took place when a child was disgraceful. This uncle, however, just loathed Pen's very existence.
1854: Sharda decides to move to Britain with Christopher after Pen's attempted murder. Despite discrimination, as the kept mistress of a wealthy man, she can live more comfortably. She has complex feelings about this.
Pen grows up feeling lonely and estranged. They discover the 'hijra' identity exists, and studies it in private. Having lived as a girl in India, they live as a boy in England. Neither felt right.
Sharda funds Pen's education and lifestyle. She passes at the age of 42 to illness. Pen is devastated, their mother having been their best friend and ultimate source of comfort.
---TBA---
1888: Pen dies after witnessing one of Jack the Rippers unknown killings.
Dead
Waking up in hell, Penn was unsure of anything. The landscape was barren, save for a city on the horizon. This would later turn out to be Limbo, where a soul is first brought.
Upon learning more of the afterlife, Pen besides to settle down in the first ring, it's seeming like the most developed and with 'first world' levels of amenities that very few locations had.
Learning the way of violence for power, Pen sought overlordship. A goddess in the underworld, Mahakaali, drew Pent's patronage. She felt like home, and provided them with power to protect the weak. Suffice today, their eggs.
Brooding for the first time, Pen was frightened and confused. Producing asexually, the Eggs Bois came to be. One or two laid every year then on, not all making it by the end.
Later, the goddess would be slain by angels, weakened due to so few worshipers and the eclipsing worship of the 'one gods', of abrahamic faith.
Pen was returned to a weakened state, never quite regaining overlord status. Instead, ingratiating themself to more powerful sinners who brought even greater technology and resources.
Eventually, jaded and paranoid, Pentious would wind up at the Hotel.

Jotaro probably couldn’t be paid to watch a musical. Whether it’s live on stage or a movie, he simply won’t budge. His only quiet exception to that, are actually animated movies. Suspension of disbelief is much easier for him in that medium specifically. That said, he doesn’t really watch animated movies all that often anyways. Oh, well. His favorite: Swears he doesn’t have one (it’s Disney’s Oliver and Company).
Much like his grouch of a grandson, Mr. Joestar generally doesn’t like musicals. He’s a lot easier to nudge into seeing one, though. That is, at least, when it comes to his wife. Suzi Q loves going to live shows, and drags him to a good amount. In her eyes, they live in New York City- they must go to live shows! So, despite claiming he doesn’t care for them, Mr. Joestar still manages to have a weirdly educated opinion on them. Plus, being a casual enjoyer of musicals at best, he does have a movie musical or two close to his heart. His favorite: Funny Girl.
Now, if someone with a secret affinity for musicals is what you’re searching for, Avdol is exactly where you should turn your attention. He quite likes live stage performances, whether it’s a musical or a play. Easily prefers them over movie musicals and will jump at the opportunity to see a stage version instead. Avdol especially favors funny and lighthearted musicals that aim to make audiences laugh. He’s even seen a show in New York with Mr. and Mrs. Joestar. He vows that never again will he see a musical with Mr. Joestar after that experience; next time him and Suzi Q will have to leave him at home. His favorite: Something Rotten!
Throughout his childhood, Kakyoin was the type to scoff and turn his nose up away from musicals. His mother used to let classics like Hello, Dolly! and Singing in the Rain play on their family TV more times then the redhead can count- much to his annoyance. But then, upon reaching his late teens, he ended up watching Little Shops of Horrors by chance one night. Since then, macabre and (admittedly) weird musicals float his boat. Give him the oddest or most unconventional musical choice imaginable, and he’s bound to enjoy himself a little. His favorite: Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
A true softie at heart, Polnareff adores classic musicals focused on soft romance. Although not one to go see stage performances, he’ll happily watch an old movie musical from time to time. That said, his modern musical exception is probably something massively successful like Hamilton or The Book of Mormon. Once, him and Mr. Joestar sang the song Rose’s Turn in the car together on the Crusaders’ way out of India. The side-eye Kakyoin and Jotaro threw to one another during it was a clear enough indication that it was meant to be a one-time thing. His favorite: West Side Story.
Iggy loves stage musicals. No, seriously, any chance for people to go away and leave him be for hours on end- he’ll take.

Mikey reads ASOIAF: Bran V AGOT
Short summary: Bran rides out of Winterfell on Dancer using the special saddle. All seems well, though Robb’s recent change in demeanor troubles Bran. And then, out of nowhere, wildings and two Night’s Watch deserters appear to rob the boy.
I'm back from the coma Daenerys IV put me in.
JK, I had a bunch of uni projects to work on. Let's get back into it.
Shoutout to Tyrion for the disability friendly saddle, best non related uncle of the year. It’s actually heartwarming to be reading a story in a medieval setting where people don’t just immediately kill people who are disabled, because in reality they often tried to keep them alive. Some researchers even consider healed fractures in vital bones an indicator of a society forming. The only way this can happen is if the group is tending for the injured person and providing them with food. Bran being accommodated means a lot to me.
I also appreciate the fact that Winterfell has a smaller town built right outside it in order to provide for those in need during winter. It’s an interesting case study of seasonal migration. I’m not too educated on the topic of medieval peasant movements (I believe most had to stay on the lord’s lands as they were considered part of the property) but I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s been similar movements in harsher climates. This is barely related, but I do know the Adivasi tribes in India often move to cities for half of the year to work the arduous factory shifts that provide them with a small yet vital wage. Came to think of it as I read this part.
Anyway, Bran yet again insists upon being a man and is still virtually a toddler in my eyes. I patiently and gently disagree. Oh, how badly he'll wish he hadn’t wasted his developmental years trying to grow up faster, only to realize there is no such thing and everyone’s just pretending to be adjusted to life’s various challenges. The responsibilites are crushing, yet you feel mostly the same as you did as a teen. You do not want to grow up, Bran.
I do agree that it would be best if Robb told him what was going on though. He deserves to know if events outside Winterfell are impacting his family, and they happen to do just that.
“No one ever told him what was happening, yet he knew it was not good.”
See? Bran is more aware than they realize. Robb does talk to him in this scene, which is good. I feel really bad for Robb by the way. He’s still a kid in my eyes, and being 14-15 is tough enough as it is. Now he’s suddenly the Man, the one people turn to for advice and the one who's expected to make decisions that affect so many people. That’s a huge burden to bear. I couldn't even do it at 23, I'm sure.
““I listen to him (Luwin),” Robb insisted. “I listen to everyone.””
Yeah…Poor baby.
It's very relatable how annoyed Bran feels with people fussing over him. That is something people can’t seem to stop doing when you suffer from something chronic. Like I’m alright guys, if I die I die, and otherwise I live. That’s just life.
They go into the Wolfswood in search of the direwolves, and Bran is left alone. Very conveniently the small pack of wildlings and deserters appear the moment Robb disappears. Maybe they were watching them ? This scene isn’t all too interesting so do forgive me for skipping over it. They just want to rob him, then threaten him when he won’t get off the horse. Just your typical villain stuff. Robb returns with the wolves and they absolutely wreck the to-be robbers. “Glistening blue snakes” as a description of guts is nasty as all hell but also really cool. It did ruin my appetite for an hour to visualize it though. Long story short, most are killed by the wolves. Robb takes down at least one guy (is this his first kill?) and Theon puts an arrow in the man holding Bran hostage. For some reason Robb gets pissy about it because of a bunch of what-if scenarios. Didn’t happen though did it? Done is done. Theon really isn’t given a break in this book ever. You can definitely tell why he snaps, even if it’s ultimately misguided and a poor decision.
So Osha survives the encounter and is taken hostage for questioning, allowing her to be present and aid Bran and Rickon when they need to escape Winterfell. I do wonder what she and Rickon have been up to at Skagos. We haven’t been there, so it would be interesting to have a POV there in Winds. Davos was on his way there wasn’t he? Exciting stuff.
It’s an okay chapter overall, though not as captivating as some of the other chapters.

How Civil Engineering Courses Are Evolving with New Technology
Civil engineering is no longer just about bricks, cement, and bridges. It has become one of the most future-focused fields today. If you are planning to study civil engineering, you must understand how the course has evolved. The best civil engineering colleges are now offering much more than classroom learning.
You now study with technology, not just about it. And this shift is shaping your career in ways that were never possible before.
Technology is Changing the Civil Engineering Classroom
In the past, civil engineering courses relied on heavy theory and basic field training. Today, you learn through software, simulations, and smart labs. At universities like BBDU in Lucknow, classrooms are powered by tools like AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro, and BIM.
These tools help you visualize structures, test designs, and even simulate natural forces.
You work on 3D modeling tools
You test designs virtually before real-world execution
You understand smart city layouts and green construction methods
This means your learning is hands-on, job-ready, and tech-driven.
You Learn What the Industry Actually Uses
Most construction and infrastructure companies now depend on digital tools to plan, design, and execute projects. This is why modern B.Tech Civil Engineering courses include:
Building Information Modelling (BIM)
Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
Remote Sensing Technology
Drones for land surveying
IoT sensors in smart infrastructure
Courses in colleges like BBDU include these topics in the curriculum. You do not just learn civil engineering. You learn the tools that companies expect you to know from day one.
The future of Civil Engineering is Data-Driven
You might not think of civil engineering as a data-heavy field. But now, big data is used to monitor structural health, traffic flow, and resource planning. Many universities have added data analysis and AI basics to help you understand how smart infrastructure works.
By learning how to handle real-time data from buildings or roads, you become more skilled and more employable.
Real-world exposure is Now Part of the Course
Good civil engineering colleges in Uttar Pradesh understand that you need industry exposure. Colleges like BBDU offer:
Internships with construction firms and government bodies
Industry guest lectures and site visits
Capstone projects linked to real problems
You are not just attending lectures. You are solving real-world construction challenges while still in college.
Why Choose BBDU for Civil Engineering?
In Lucknow, BBDU is one of the few private universities offering a modern civil engineering course with world-class infrastructure. You learn in smart labs, access tools used by top firms, and receive career counseling throughout the program.
Here’s what makes BBDU a smart choice:
Advanced labs and smart classrooms
Training in AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, BIM
Live projects and on-site construction learning
Career cell and placement support
Affordable fees and scholarships for deserving students
Civil Engineering is Still One of the Most Stable Careers
Reports show that India will spend over ₹100 lakh crores on infrastructure in the next few years. Roads, smart cities, renewable power plants, metros – all need civil engineers. And companies prefer students trained in construction technology, digital tools, and real-world planning.
So, if you're thinking about joining a course, look at how it prepares you for tomorrow.
The future of civil engineering is digital, and your education should be too. Choose a program that keeps up with the times. Choose a university that helps you build more than just buildings – it helps you build your future.
Apply now at BBDU – one of the most future-focused civil engineering colleges in Uttar Pradesh.

Do you know of any petitions or email scripts to call for support for South Africas genocide case against Israel? I'm from the US and I've had trouble finding anything.
i do!
Here are the emails of:
President of the ICJ, Joan E Donoghue (United States): [email protected]
Vice-President Kirill, Gevorgian (Russian Federation): [email protected]
Judge Mohamed Bennouna (Morocco): [email protected]
Judge Ronny Abraham (France): [email protected]
Judge Georg Nolte (Germany): [email protected]
Judge Dalveer Bhandari (India): [email protected]
Judge Patrick Robinson (Jamaica): [email protected]
Judge Yuji Iwasawa (Japan): [email protected]
Judge Nawaf Salam (Lebanon): [email protected]

Judge Julia Sebutinde (Uganda): [email protected]
Judge Hilary Charlesworth (Australia): [email protected]
Judge Leonardo Brant (Brazil): [email protected]
Judge Xue Hanqin (China): [email protected]
And here is an email chain, taken from twitter here! They have more specific copy-pastes, like calling the ICJ “Madam President” or “Vice President, but the general one is below!”
Subject: Urgent Concerns Regarding the impending matter of South Africa v. Israel with the ICJ
Dear Honourable Judge [JUDGE NAME HERE]
I hope this message finds you well and resolute. My name is [Your Name], I am a concerned citizen of the [Your Country]. I am reaching out to you with a sense of urgency and sincere apprehension which prompts me to break my customary silence.
I have always held the belief that individuals in positions of authority, such as yourself, harbour the best interests of humanity at heart. However, recent developments in the Middle East and the global response to them have stirred doubt in my convictions, compelling me to express my concerns directly to you.
As I explored the International Court of Justice's website, I took solace in the fact that it consists of "independent judges, elected regardless of their nationality from among persons of high moral character." With this understanding, I address you regarding the impending South Africa v. Israel matter, the provisional measures hearing of which is scheduled for Thursday, 11th and Friday, 12th January 2024.
I am sure that you are acutely aware of the gravity of the case before you, and I believe that your ability to discern the truth, resist external pressures, and deliver a just judgment is foremost on your mind. The Genocide Convention, a cornerstone of international law, was established in 1948 as a commitment to 'never again' allow atrocities akin to those committed by the Nazi’s in WW2. 152 states out of 194 nations of the world honourably signed up to the convention. It is a testament to our parents and grandparents that their generations committed to a set of standards that constitute the basic principles of right and wrong, which underpin the fabric of the world we live in and form the basis of the lives most of us are lucky enough to lead.
The very fact that the responsibility of adjudicating on this case has fallen upon your shoulders underscores a disheartening truth – the failure of existing systems of checks and balances within the international community. It is disconcerting that national interests have tainted the operations of our global systems, allowing the mass killing of civilians to persist without intervention. I find this reality appalling, as do countless citizens around the world who have expressed their horror through protests on the streets of cities across the globe.
The upcoming case is a litmus test for humanity's commitment to the solemn pledge of 'Never Again.' Generations have been educated about the horrors of the Holocaust, and this case challenges us to live up to the principles we profess. It is a stark reminder that the values we hold dear are being tested in real-time, with devastating consequences.
In March 2022, the International Court of Justice ordered Russia to immediately suspend military operations in Ukraine and ensure that affiliated units take no further steps in furtherance of the military operations. Despite this intervention, an estimated 10,000 civilians have tragically lost their lives in Ukraine since Russia's military operation in 2022. Moreover, and by comparison, the death toll in Gaza has already surpassed 22,000 since October 2023, with a staggering 70% of the victims being women and children.
In an age where mainstream media faces scepticism due to perceived biases, the global community has been witness to Israel's actions in real-time through various social media platforms such as X, TikTok, and Telegram. Enclosed with this letter, you'll find compelling evidence pointing towards Israel's culpability in intending to commit genocide and engaging in genocidal military actions, among other alleged war crimes.
We find ourselves in a world where trust in global institutions is eroding rapidly. The International Court of Justice, in particular, cannot afford to make an erroneous judgment in the #SouthAfrica v. #Israel genocide case. A misjudgement in this matter would not only underscore the ICJ's ineffectiveness but also prompt scrutiny regarding its autonomy from nation-state political influences, potentially compromising the esteemed moral character of the individuals involved.
In 1945 we celebrated Winston Churchill as the leader that brought the world together in war to put-down the threat of Nazi Germany and the horror it inflicted. That war claimed over 50 million lives. We do not wish to celebrate a wartime hero again; we wish to celebrate new heroes who averted a war by presiding over justice without fear or favour.
I humbly beseech you to approach this case with the utmost diligence, impartiality, and commitment to justice. The eyes of the world are upon you, and the outcome of this particular case will reverberate through history, shaping perceptions of the ICJ's impartiality and moral standing.
Yours sincerely,
(Insert Name)
Also, here’s a bigass link about what’s being done and what you can do
And here’s a link where you can search for protests near you (remember, never give your personal information away if you’re going to a protest—don’t announce it publicly or nothing, yadda yadda):
hope this helps :D!

here is an outline of subjects and ideas I would like to write about Pens childhood/living life
Colonial British rule of India, subsequent poverty
1840: Life in Delhi, construction and westernization of cities
Life as a biracial child (unsure which parent is from Britain, I'm thinking the father.)
Growing up as an intersex person, how pen was assigned female at birth, but skewed towards traditionally masculine pursuits and queer attraction.
Honor killings and the effect it had on their family unit. I want to be very careful about this-- The topic came up when I was researching, and there are still honor killing among families in the US. I think one of the maternal male family members was upset at Pens very existence-- being mixed, queer, gender non-conforming, and it culminated in a threat or violent moment.
1854: Pens mother decides to move to Britain with pens father, under a vague hope that it would be safer for the family. They face the same descrimination, but as the kept mistress of a wealthy man, she can live more comfortably. She has complex feelings about this.
Pen grows up feeling lonely and estranged. They discover the 'hijra' identity, and explore it in privacy. Having lived as a girl in India, they live as a boy in England. Neither felt right.
With hush money from the father, mother funds pens education and lifestyle. With her child as her joy. And they were very close, best friends even.
---
1888: Pen dies after witnessing one of Jack the Rippers unknown killings.
