Bois Cereste, Akasaka, Tokyo, 2024.
A specialty Belgian beer bar operated by Mr. Yamada, who is also a jazz musician. The 36-year old cafe was a favorite of renowned beer writer Michael Jackson, pictured here with the proprietor Mr. Yamada. The cafe menu contains hundreds of rare selections, many imported from Belgium directly by Mr. Yamada himself. Bois Cereste is a rare treasure in the Tokyo beer cafe landscape.

The one thing I really do like about being in New York during the holiday season is seeing my favorite places decked out in decorations. It makes these places just a little cozier, so I was happy to see some lights go up at Beer Culture.

I’ll take any excuse to go back to New York, so on a recent short jaunt there I enjoyed some of my favorite foods, including getting sandwiches at All'Antico Vinaio and then enjoying some beers at Beer Culture after a visit to the MoMA.

Ludwig: We have our own drink bar, it's nothing special but, we can make practically anything, just as long as it's alcohol-free. The legal drinking age is very different here than back home, it's rather a shock to a lot of us

There was a post recently that really got me thinking about what I'm doing and how I'm going about the creative and also social media side of my life. This is it right here.
As far as it is from my comfort zone, it's true…I have to be social to get anywhere on social media. Fancy that! On top of that, this whole AI/enshittification/late stage capitalism has really been harshing my writing squee.
All this together means that hiding all my creative endeavors on a side tumblr isn't going to get me anywhere. Yeah, it's a good place for a portfolio and archive, but no one is going to see it way over there. I need to show off my stuff right here where I live!
So….let me re-introduce myself! I'm Listy and I'm a writer!
You can learn all about my little e-book right here!
And if you like the kind of weird crossover fanfiction with so many different media and OCs that it makes AO3 tags cry and the normies cringe, I am starting to post some of that over on my Dreamwidth.
Also on my Dreamwidth will be some original works: short stories and perhaps chapters from other works in progress just to show them off.
I do have a little bit of single-fandom fare on AO3, perhaps more in the coming months, but that isn't my focus right now.
All I want is to have fun, and write stories, and encourage other writers and artists because let's face it, it's not great out there, and I don't want to ever look back and regret that I hadn't tried.
