I feel so bad never been in this situation before so I started to cry.

This is a PSA for you all because this was a real shit week for me.

Sometimes you're going to have a shit morning that turns into a shit day that turns into a shit week that ends in just a helping pie of disappointment, and the best thing you can do for yourself when that happens is have a little cry and move into the next week on as clean a slate as you can.

Because for many of us out there with mental health issues, our mind constantly tells us that we are no good. That we're too loud and take up too much space. That our friends hate us, and we would be better off keeping to our own corners.

Our brains are wrong. They are always wrong. You do more damage than good trying to tuck yourself away from everything that might hurt you. I don't know if any of you needed to hear that, but I sure did, especially as someone who usually prides themselves on being unflappable.

Anyone have a new sci-fi or fantasy series to recommend? Preferably with an audiobook? I am in a lot of pain everywhere atm and need a distraction, but reading makes my headache worse. Sounds are apparently ok today tho so that's a plus.

In the past 8 days:

I’ve Been hospitalized for what we thought was a heart attack

Found out I have a leaking Aortic valve that’s going to need surgery

Quit a high-stress job

Got hired for a low-stress job that was supposed to start tomorrow

My dad died in Ohio Friday night

Gave myself a memorial tattoo

Wolf came down with Covid

Josiah also came down with Covid

Today Kai came down with a fever. They aren’t quite as sick as the other two. Maybe it’s early yet, or maybe they just have a bad cold

Got my orientation postponed 2 weeks by the company so, even if I don’t get sick, I don’t bring Covid from home to the workplace

Spent all but the last $100 of my last check in groceries. Now it’ll be 3 weeks before I get another paycheck. Sigh.

Found out we can’t go to a big Halloween party in the mountains, that I already made costumes for, because it’s on Saturday. Not only is everybody sick, but my dads funeral is the same day, 2 states away.

Might not even be able to go to that either

This is the 3rd Baby Daddy Groove Night of our rear neighbor in a week. To be fair, she has 3 baby daddies. But on groove night they play music loud enough to rattle the pictures on our wall, until midnight.

This has been a week of bad news and disappointments.

At least:

I have a lot of food laid in, so I might not have to shop for that for a while (oh yeah except 4 items I thought of today)

The cars all have fuel

Only one bill to pay until rent

We have room for everyone to isolate, and I can sleep and cook downstairs

I’m not exhibiting any signs of being sick

My week has been stressful! Like every day is Friday the 13th for 2 weeks stressful. Like AAAAAAALLLLL MAAAAAH LIIIIIIIIIFFE I HAD TO FIGHT stressful!!

Woke up late every day, anxiety out the ass, wardrobe malfunctions every day, nothing going the way it should or as I planned, everybody getting on my nerves.....

So I said fuck it and got myself a lil treat. 2 of my favorite mental health activities. Fuck it and food. 🤗🤗🤗
