I really don’t mean to rile people up with this but, as a firm believer in “shipping/fanfiction is not activism”, I just feel so uncomfortable whenever I see men (of any sexuality, for the record) enjoying f/f content, especially if it’s specifically labeled “yuri”. Like I won’t go after them but it just makes me feel so icky 😭 Again I have no problem with fujoshis but there’s just something that feels so off about anyone who is not a woman being super duper invested into f/f content like… that’s not for you.

I had the impression that commercial yuri really varied in who was producing it and who the target audience was.

Feelings are irrational. People often feel discomfort over strangers liking things, often in the form of "That's mine, not yours!"

I've been lamenting how so many people these days have a story about losing a relative to Qanon. It's a shame, watching someone you love turn into a completely different person. You look at them and it's like all you can see is the person they were, and the person they could've been.

But for every one of those guys, there's always some real fuckin loser who was like that from the start. People who were never normal. Just a dumb as fuck meathead from the day they could talk that grew into a perpetually baby-brained reactionary. And what's truly sad is that those guys are hilarious. The fodder for dril tweets and Tim Hiedecker characters who never shut the fuck up about wanting to go through navy seal training and how they could totally disarm an attacker with a firearm using nothing but ninjutsu.
