i found a book abt the anti lawn movement at the library & decided to sit out in my yard & read it. but ironically there was a neverending barage of power tool noises making it difficult to focus. so i walked to a nature park near me in order to escape the dreaded sounds. almost stopped at the mowed picnic table area bc i hate walking but fortunately pushed forward and made myself walk up an annoying hill to an area that is a preservation of a native oak savanna & sat down against a tree near the edge of the path & did my reading there. and honest to god that was a 100/10 experience. there was something so powerful abt being in a preserve for a locally native habitat while reading abt the impacts homeowners can have on native plant preservation! it powered up my energy towards my life mission (evangelize abt enviormentally sustainable gardening to every single person who comes within a 10 ft radius of me) by like. 15 points. also a deer walked up to me and that was super cool

the space heater in my room keeps ticking fast and loud at random intervals for like a full 5-10 minutes. the most similar experience i found on the internet to what its like is that it wasnt the heater, its the pipes expanding, and to fix it you would need to open the wall and cover the pipes in protective foam. this is a rented apartment so im not feeling v lucky on that. so i will be ending up on the news

I am always very very careful about staying on mute during group calls but I needed to respond to something so turned on my mic. My dog then sighed SO DEEPLY (as only one who sleeps 20+ hours a day can do) and it sounded like it was a reaction to what someone had just asked. I was like, "oh my god, that was my dog!" and it turns out no one had heard it.

It always seems a bit unbalanced on The Great Food Truck Race when there will be multiple teams who are cooking a wide variety of complex dishes with 10 different components and a bunch of prep work, and then there's that one team who like... exclusively serves plain crepes with some premade nutella on them, or plain waffles with just some whipped cream and cut up strawberries lol...

not even gonna lie wireless headphones were SUCH a game changer for me like i can move around freely with no cables getting stuck on things? i dont have to rip my headphones out everytime i go to do another thing and have to stop the whatever im listening to?

Can’t believe it took the psychiatrist’s office I got referred to for an autism assessment nearly a month just to send me the following email

Like how fuckin back logged do they have to be for them to have taken this long just to tell me they couldn’t take me for an assessment (not additional repeat therapy visits)
