I need people to understand how important it is that Inej launched herself. Kaz held steady and provided the foothold, but she launched herself.

Kaz gave her a ship and a place to return. He holds steady in a different way waiting for her return. He supports her fully. But she launched herself. This is her mission, her endeavor, her drive, her purpose.

i love it when kaz manages to finally overcome and heal from his trauma surrounding touch as much as the next person, but it deeply frustrates me when it comes too quickly and when it's regarded as the only way for kanej's relationship to progess. give me intimacy that doesn't revolve around touch. give me love letters, and quiet nights spent in the company of one another. give me stories told in whispers about everything and anything, give me the trust and vulnerability that comes with showing the other your soul and mind, give me sleeping in the same room even if it's not in the same bed and knowing that the other might witness your nightmares, give me comfort that doesn't need touch to be effective and an Inej who doesn't demand from Kaz that he heals his decade-long trauma in a single week, because I refuse to believe it fits her character to be so inconsiderate when it comes to trauma

In all seriousness, when we’re grieving it’s very important to take the time you need to rekindle and remember the things you still have that you love. I know it’ll be hard for a while, as is with loss, but don’t forget to take care of yourself too. Your heart will thank you for it later, after you’ve healed.

Inej. no, he doesn't hear her movements. he doesn't hear her footsteps, or even the way her body moves through the air. he hears her silence. he feels her presence, yet hears the way she hasn't yet chosen to speak to him. he wants her to speak to him. he cherishes every word out of her mouth, every interaction he gets to have with her. he loves her, and he's always looking out for the next time he gets to see her again
