anyway copyright infringement isnt theft because the legal definition of "theft" requires that the act involves the depriving the rightful owner of their property ie; they do not have it anymore. If you build something on land someone else owns that can be considered "theft" because you are depriving the owner of their ability to use that plot of land. If you build a building that is an exact copy of a building someone owns that is not "theft" because they are not deprived of the original building but if they own some kind of IP right to the likeness of the building they could potentially sue over that. When people started using "art theft" to refer to like, Deviantart drama about someone being accused of tracing, that was supposed to be 'theft' in a figurative sense but it is not actually "theft" in any meaningful legal sense.

If a newspaper or something talks about a major "art theft" they are talking about someone snatching away an art piece such that its legitimate owner is deprived of it. This can even apply to digital media such as how the original master copy of Food Fight was allegedly stolen. But if you hear about say "a private detective who specializes in art theft" that is referring to someone that investigates heists and not someone thats like, really good at telling if something was traced

they are full of mischief thats for sure!

for starters they share a hideout with yasei, that duplighost obsessed with birds. yasei stays in an abandoned cabin deep in the woods outside of twilight town, so luckily its slim to none when it comes to visitors. this however means lots of plotting and scheming happens when it comes to thievery. yasei doesnt nessesarily enjoy their presence, but he tolerates it because more often then not, he gets something nice out of whatever heist they plan (be it a new form to scare people with, or coins to buy more birds)

of course thats only if they tag along though, in which most cases he doesnt. most of the time it's just wiley and flaxen, with wiley doing most of the hard work and thinking (despite not really having many braincells to do thinking with.. which is saying alot!)

but still! they manage. it definitely helps that yasei only really cares about his birds and the occasional scream of a bystander. but other then that, they are all pretty much like neutral roommates that help eachother out from time to time. a sort of a mutualism based relationship, you could say!

andor is absolutely slower than the average star wars & it does have plenty of "people talking" scenes. HOWEVER. it's as much an adventure as the rest of em!! in the first ten minutes our protagonist goes into a brothel looking for his sister and then kills two cops. then he joins the rebellion and flees his home village on a motorcycle while exploding the whole joint with bombs. then he joins a heist team and they steal a shit ton of money from the government while the space aurora borealis happens and half of them die in the process. then he goes to prison (unrelated to heist) and helps stage a massive prison break with gollum. then he goes back to his village to rescue his ex gf who has been tortured by cops & meanwhile the village stages a massive protest where they beat the government with bricks & more bombs. thats so much adventure. that's so much spectacle. that's not even factoring in the side plots. the only difference is these big action set-pieces aren't strung together & get to breathe! we build up to them! so it's more rewarding! it's

so many pmd fan stories and ocs that ive seen alot of times the main characters are set on the “caring and/or cool partner pokemon and amnesiac human-turned-pokemon that are the same age” that i wish there was more variation.

like, there are SO many team dynamics that i wish more people used, the possibilities are endless

younger mon and parental figure form a team, found family sorta thing

two pokemon who HATE eachother but have to form a team because theyre forced to

a team that has to go their separate ways because the paths their lives lead go in different directions of eachother

these idiots dont know shit! watch them try and battle this calamity!

bad guys that commit crimes! heists! look at them blow up this bank! theyre awesome!

and that’s not even considering teams with more than 2 people, the more the merrier! be creative with it!

(absolutely zero hate to any stories/ocs that are the “human and partner pokemon” team, i love any pmd content, just wish more aspects would be explored.

theres also something to be said about the usual “oh there’s this world ending thing happening and we need to stop it!” plot but thats another can of worms

Leverage Log: The Last Dam Job

I'll admit the name might be most difficult but should be doable. "They're my team..." "I certainly know them better then you"... Ok so that explains why we had the cocoa futures con. Because they were trying to seed the idea of a con-by-proxy. But that con relied in it being a mere distraction, which is why they could afford amateurs. Having the professional con-artist see through the con was part of the con. It wont be here.

Which means Nate's gonna outsource this con. Now im putting in the exact time in the episode where im analysing this. Its currently 1:49 in the episode. And im gonna make some guesses as to whom we're getting this episode.

Mastermind, Grifter, Hitter, Hacker, Thief.

I think Nate might still be the mastermind, because he doesnt have to be up front in the con for that. I mean there is

Grifter is gonna be Tara.

Hitter... I dont think we have much for that, there arent a lot of Back-up Elliots around in this show. There's his friend from the Boys Night Out, and there's his distaff counterpart from the Van Gogh Job. (by which i mean the first Van Gogh job, where everyone was up against their equivalents. The woman who was former Mossad or something?) Im betting on her,

Hacker: We literally only have Chaos, if there is a second hacker im forgetting then im blanking entirely. So i think we're going for "tell everyone Chaos will betray them. But we do with what we must" situation.

Thief: Its strange how Parker has three counterparts and everyone else has only 1 or 2 up for grabs. But Thief could be Archie, Himbo-lupin or Apollo. Now i've already bet on at least 2 members of that crew so its not gonna be Apollo, and i dont think Himbo is as likely as Archie is. (especially with last episodes plot being thematically linked to his debut episode, and this being a two-parter that is verry much about family and parental relationships) So my prediction: Nate is still mastermind, but he probably has a decoy. Tara Chaos and Archie are locked in. And I dont think that Distaff Elliot whose name isnt coming to mind RN would willingly work with Chaos again, so probably pull his friend back?

Those are my predictions. Time to let time resume ---" "welcome to the next time". Congrats on the directors and actor for selling a line that stupid. Its not a good line but they somehow made it work. (8/10)

"Dubenich is already in jail what's left to do to him" Sophie, you know Nate. There is so much left to do to him. --- Ok yeah, its a proxy-job like the Futures Con. Also shout out to last episodes creative use for duct-tape as an improv weapon, it was awesome but i didnt feel like stopping to write it. But combined with this seasons use of the Wurlitzer pipe and now the fire extinguishers for a blinding chemical excellerant gun that serves as a bludgeon i want to compliment the fight choreographer or whatever position is in charge of that decision. You did good work this season.

So to see if my predictions are right: Quinn. I have to admit i dont know who you are. I think you might've been a hired goon from an earlier episode but I did not remember you. Archie! I almost feel like I shouldn't score you. But also, Parker has the most non-imprisoned foils in the show so you actually had the most competetion for the thief slot. I wonder what is going through Bio-daughter's mind. "Dad has a second family?" Chaos. Because every episode needs a designated moment where the plan seems to get fucked, and a designated traitor was the simplest call.

Im counting three not five. Thats suspicious. Now Tara famously got introduced by being in disguise for an entire episode so she might be a man on the inside when our heists get called. But so far im gonna call it as 2/3, with a possible "nate is still mastermind" for 3/4 ---

Cant really read the glass-board. But also, every bone in my body says this episode could've ended right this moment as Dubenich looks at the glass board. I think it was the Season 1 finale where Hardison blew up HQ? Using Dubenich own signature move against him, in a way that directly parallels the S1 finale? That would've been the move. --- Hardison and Chaos in total agreement for the one time in their life. (they are right, this is legally a batcave)

Archie straight for the jugular. (also tasers, good to see where Parker gets it from) --- "How many fingers do you need to type? round down!" Im sorry for not remembering you existed allright. --- Ooh i love the invasive species ploy. Its simple yet genius. --- Double-heist! Stealing the sword and destroying the entire vault! Dubenich realises he fucked up in his conversation with Nate. (always love it when the mark is just smart enough to realise how he fucked up). --- Elliot almost shooting Dubenich... Quinn and him are bros. --- and that is Maggie! I'll admit, i expected Tara. But i guess she meets the "someone who is not in the game" requirement. Shows got one over on me twice. 2/4.

"if temptation counted as cheating no marriage would last for a year", and going straight for the jugular with Jim. --- Chemical Warfare! Drug a guy and smuggle him off to the fucking Cayman Islands. With all the goods you stole from him. (remember, if Nate has a "signature move" its framing them for Insurance Fraud.) --- -"I do care" -"how does that feel" -"getting used to it" --- "my son would be ashamed of me if I was a murderer... My father on the other hand, he's buy me an ice-cream". good line. 9/10. Ah, Now i understand the importance of the experimental job. Seeding Prisoners Dilemma in the audience awareness so Nate can play them against eachother in the finale. Good one. --- BIG KISS! --- I like how they ask nate if they can keep the cave, like little kids asking their parents about a stray dog that has been following them around.

William. It's essentially pronounced the same as William. (I actually got the spelling of it wrong anyway, it's supposed to be Viljem, but it's still pronounced pretty much the same as William)

It's kinda like the intro to Sacred Stones, except without Seth dragging Eirika away before Grado's army gets in there- Viljem and his father (though his sister is absent) are trapped with the only exit blocked by an army. And in sneaks this thief who has been planning a heist for months, scouting all the secret passages and exits and entrances to the castle and it's at both the completely wrong and completely right time as Viljem is told to escape and Valentin just grabs him and tells him "there's a secret passage we should be able to get out of here safely". They still have to fight a couple of soldiers though (that's essentially the whole prologue summarised)

Ok first things first. For the Bigtop Burger au, I'm still rolling with Lark's idea where Dood essentially infested and turned a normal food truck into an eldritch, Doodler foodtruck. That FUN and CUTE. ALSO SEI IM MAKING YOUR'S AND LARK'S MAKEUP IDEAS CANON IN MY HEAD BC THEY BALL SO HARD.... Scary purple drippy makeup, Normal has school-spirit pep rally dots ( I think maybe either blue and red bc purple OR yellow and blue bc. cute?), Taylor in my head has orange flame inspired makeup, and Linc has green football stripes :]

As for the function of the food truck, I haven't thought too hard bc this au strikes me less as a super serious story one, and moreso as a S1 Bigtop Burger au where Shit Just Happens For Fun. The teens run it on the side as a cover for Dood and to get around while making some money ( maybe the money they earn is converted into daddy Warbucks bc that gimmick was good). Also Scam Likely has a food truck and it's a zomburger esc. rivalry. And I was maybe think the Mayor/The other Dooderlized people have one too but i'm not sure about that! I'd like to hear thoughts!

+ I was just thinking it would be cute if the other NPCs got roped into it for a brief amount of time. Like Erica, Margherita, Hermie OFC ( he's gonna pull grand-theft auto instead of a mascot heist), maybe the Varsity Soccer Team... something something, another Agent Schmegan car chase but it's an eldritch clown food truck filled with teenagers. I JUST MISS THIS SILLY AU AND I'M ALWAYS DOWN FOR BIGTOP BURGER,,

The Actor au is super similar in that it's not really anything besides silly, but I was just thinking of more fun scenarios! Like Henry having to be suspended in the air while doing "magic" because I love. shots of actors dangling in their dumb littles harnesses. Or clips of a show without the effects put in so it's just dorks waving their hands around and yelling. I was also thinking about how actors do side interviews/gameshows(?) and how the bonus episodes of the show are Just That.

OKOK and for the Krampus au(?) or whatever I'm doing with that because I'm just. thinking. plotting. But I wanna keep the silly art side idea with Glenn as Krampus, Darryl as Santa, Henry as a Christmas Elf, and Ron as like....a big gingerbread man. but I was thinking maybe a real au.

the main setup I have right now is the Dads being normal. vaguely-fantasy. villagers. Darryl being a carpenter/woodsman, Henry being a town healer maybe, and Ron being a traveling merchant who lives there/sets up shop. But there's a Weird Fucked Up Creature in the woods and everybody tells their kids its Krampus and they're gonna get stolen/eaten if they misbehave and he becomes this genuine myth. But turns out! probably after one of them runs into him in the woods ( probably Darryl), it's just. Glenn. and he's a goat demon monster but he's actually Pretty Chill! and he starts coming around town more and messing with people bc the Dads pretty much "invited him in" y'know. I was also thinking about having Nick as a baby goat demon...... unsure if Morgan would also be a demon or a human woman....

Thats just my way of getting my fill of monster content because I LOVE. WHEN PEOPLE HAVE TO PUT UP WITH MONSTERS... and they're already so awkward around monsters in universe so them having to navigate this demon who hangs out on their roof is PERFECT.

I also have my various unplanned/nonsense-aus cluttered around. Like the Dads as monsters, I was thinking a Swap Au ( either just Closeson or all the Dads. If all, I think it was that Darryl was the Bard, Ron was the Barbarian, Henry was the Rouge, and Glenn is the Druid. Alternatively, Darryl-Rouge, Glenn-Barbarian, Henry-Bard, and Ron-Druid).

Law's Eleven is a play on the movie Ocean's 11! a las vegas casino heist movie with george clooney that had two direct sequels and a spin off. (oceans 13th is the best) and i thought that fit the vibe. it was a placeholder name but it stuck. and the universe ive started to call ocean's verse bc ocean, the ocean, ocean is the chracters name in the movie, you get it.

W: Do you like more general prompts, or more specific ones?

both can be fun! but i think like general prompts with like one specific hook or a vibe is also cool. really depends what gets me monkey brain going that day, some days itll be nothing and other days ill be like

how has se changed since you first created it? are there any plot ideas or concepts that fell by the wayside?

oh god, let me travel back in time mentally almost 3-4 years or so-

well first off, i rmm that a large foundation of SE was inspired by the Venture Bros? the guild of villains aspect of it most likely cuz i genuinely found that interesting. Dez and Francis were proper like, apprentices to VILLAINY and it was all meant to be a more lighthearted story, of them going on adventures while trying to be “professional criminals” (Dez doing so accidentally). Francis was actually NICER somewhat? and Dez’s family loved him to bits. Carmine was much more of a father figure to Frank (EUGH) and he wasn’t a former nazi? And Maya acted more like a chill business partner/friend to Carmine rather than like, his leash holder of sorts…Carson was also egging to be a prof villain and sucked at it so Hammond had to help her or something

i rmm also that the worldbuilding aspect of SE was ULTRA FLIPPANT? like, i would make just the stupidest/most fantastical shit happen in the timeline for no reason and i think that mainly fell through cuz i ended up wanting to justify everything…and the timeline became so cluttered and chaotic tbh. so much was going on that didn’t make sense, im much happier with the one i have now (smaller/less detailed tho it may be)

i genuinely don’t rmm how the city of Necropolis came to be however. i just knew it was Necropolis and it was BIG and built on top of the ruins of an old city, inspired by the coast spanning megacities in judge dredd. the babel-like structure of the city is entirely new/recent and its no longer in new york (got tired of ny…TBH…)

mmm what else…ah plotlines. i rmm one that primarily featured tugarin as an antag and old foe of Carmine’s and there was gonna be a big confrontation in Soviet Russia or something…tugarin is now like, SUUUUPER background fodder. the villain awards ceremony plotline. dumb asf. i also rmm exploring a plotline where Martians tried to like, pull a transformers 3 and PUSH MARS right next to earth for some reason. it was dumb 😭 lots of nigh world ending events that these kids had to deal with…not anymore!!! and superheroes! that was a major thing. like them being corporate tools and such, and there being a lot of them that the kids had to fight due to aforementioned villainy…thats all def backseat now, there’s like only a handful of people considered supes now, everyone else is just a freak…and as of rn im wondering whether or not to dash everything with ATLAS and the comet and stuff like that…or maybe just redo the lore surrounding them! im unsure

EDIT OMFG LAS NEVADAS!!! how can i forget ok so like, it was meant to be a sort of solo arc kind of? like how pokemon had the spin off movies that weren’t like lore accurate. the main crew were to go to the city state of Las Nevadas and do a whole nuclear casino heist thing inspired by oceans 11 and casino 1995. WOW ya that got abandoned sadly 😔

1. the crew must, at some point, pull off a massive caper-style heist. idk what they steal, idk why. but they’re all dramatic, queer, and eternally bored, CMON ofc they do it. i need marius sitting in a van talking to everyone through earpieces. tim the whistling janitor with a duffel bag full of bombs. femme fatale brian/jonny/raphaella/idc but SOMEBODYS gotta put on the slit dress+sparkly earrings. (the tension of it is probably lessened by neither death nor life sentences carrying any threat, but maybe they pick a delicate/time sensitive target to make up for it?) 2. i feel like the actual audio quality of the albums isn’t really supposed to have any lore attached to it but here me out. the audio quality improves a bit over the course of albums, yes? so, if the mechs themselves record them (rather than like. the real human members of the band), then there must be a reason for the change— they had to upgrade their setup. thus my conclusion: in order to afford better mics the crew all worked like. a fast food joint together or something. or retail. wait thats the real reason the themes are anti-capitalist, that mustve been oof (idk why they wouldn’t just steal mics but…) 3. somehow didn’t notice this until my mom pointed it out but we don’t talk enough about the angel/devil metaphors we could do with raphaella and jonny?? hello? so i think they should smooch or at least plot and scheme together every once in a while
