I created this Womb Healing Masterpost a year or so ago. Since then, I’ve continued to grow this list of resources, adding more info as I learn it. Every book, interview, podcast on the list I’ve read or listened to and found useful in my own healing. But I realize all this info can be overwhelming, confusing, and time consuming to get through to create the real change needed to balance your hormones. So, I’ve created cycle syncing wallpaper habit reminders to support women and menstruating individuals in balancing their hormones HERE.
Tumblr media
How to use:
These are specifically created for the 80% of women experiencing hormonal imbalance. I’ve designed them to make integrating the information and ancestral wisdom needed to balance hormones easily accessible. Switch each wallpaper background as you transition through each phase of your cycle. Every time you glance at your phone you get a reminder of what to focus on at a specific point in your cycle.
Each wallpaper contains:
🌟 A hormonal phase specific grocery list informed by the Autoimmune protocol (AIP) which means it excludes largely known gut irritants like nuts, seeds, beans, eggs, nightshade vegetables etc.
🌟 A list of herbal teas specific to the needs of each hormonal phase
🌟 A list of self-care practices specific to each hormonal phase
🌟 A journaling prompt
🌟 An affirmation
🌟 Basic overview of the hormonal changes occurring within the body during each phase
🌟 A list of vitamins/minerals to focus on in each phase (grocery list includes foods that contain these vitamins/minerals!)
🌟 Best care practices and tips for each phase
I have a vision of these hanging as posters in schools to teach children about the changes in each cycle. I wanted to make balancing hormones so easy that teenage me could do it. The info on the habit reminders connects to the practices and teachings described in the original tumblr post so if you ever want to dive deeper into a segment of info you can. You can find more info on how to download HERE.
If we let it, womb healing can be a beautiful initiation into feminine power. Be gentle with yourself 💗

I appreciate how angry you are that people are scamming folx.  Your kind heart made my day.  AND!  You are SO RIGHT that some education is needed here! Taking your advice, I used Google and Google Scholar for this research.
WHAT I LEARNED:
1. The fucked up wellness influencers are often, though not always, neofascist girlies (of all genders) trying to get people with chronic medical problems that are UNDER INVESTIGATED & UNDER TREATED to feel appreciated as a recruitment tactic.  It’s a Problem.  And we all know a fascist Loves a GOOD GRIFT.
2.  The stuff that isn’t about vaginas and shit is actually about stuff that is UNDER INVESTIGATED & UNDER TREATED.  3.  Personal note on the subject of GETTING OUTDOORS AND TOUCH THE GRASS:  Most of the consequences of having under investigated and under treated invisible disabilities like the various types of arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, and many others limit how much and what kind of outside time you can do.  How much gardening you can do, for example.  I am in CONSTANT pain that varies in intensity.  My hands sometimes stop working altogether.  Me trying to prune a bush in my garden is not practical.  Me trying to weed my garden, or harvest there isn’t always something I can do.  This year, I couldn’t harvest my radishes in time due to a pain flare, so now i have the most BEAUTIFUL radish flowers!  Enjoying them, too.  So pretty!  So yeah, many of us who need some of the things on your list of scams the wellness influencers were making up really do feel very disconnected from Earth BECAUSE OF OUR INVISIBLE DISABILITIES.
4.  NOW TO THE GOOGLE LINKS! 4a.  AIP is the AutoImmune Protocol used to identify what is making someone with an autoimmune illness unwell and here is what the CLEVELAND CLINIC (not a ‘fraudster’) says about it. https://health.clevelandclinic.org/aip-diet-autoimmune-protocol-diet/ Autoimmune diseases are horrible and most people tell people who have them that we just want ATTENTION.  No, we just don’t want to die because our body think our body is THE ENEMY.  Quite often the result is INFLAMMATION and CHRONIC PAIN which varies in intensity and location in the body.
4b.  The MAYO CLINIC’s thoughts on those annoying gluten free people (i’m one of them, alas!): https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/celiac-disease/symptoms-causes/syc-20352220
4c.  There is clearly some debate among medical researchers about how valid the nightshade allergy might be as an across the board thing: (apologies, that these are behind paywalls)
https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s10620-023-07955-9 https://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007/978-3-030-88473-4_3 4d.  LINK TO THE TOMATO ALLERGY SEARCH I JUST DID ON GOOGLE SCHOLAR:  https://scholar.google.com/scholar?hl=en&as_sdt=0%2C48&q=tomato+allergy&btnG= apparently some people WILL die of eating a tomato, trust me I was surprised, too. 4e.  LINK TO THE DIETARY TRIGGER NIGHTSHADE VEGETABLES SEARCH I JUST DID ON GOOGLE SCHOLAR:  https://scholar.google.com/scholar?hl=en&as_sdt=0%2C48&q=dietary+trigger+nightshade+vegetables&oq=NIGHTSHADE+VEGETABLE
and nightshades seem to be causing inflammation issues all over the place which is one of the hallmarks of many autoimmune disorders.
5.  ON THE VAG NONSENSE - You’re right that stuff is a scam and it can make your body unhappy if you use them.
6.  In case you want reliable, experiment and research based understandings of herbs as used in Germany - you can read:  https://shop.elsevier.com/books/the-complete-german-commission-e-monographs/blumenthal/978-0-9655555-0-0
which is THE COMPLETE GERMAN COMMISSION E MONOGRAPHS.  This book relates all the science done on each of 300 herbs commonly used by German herbalists.  Helpful.  Very science.  Much research.  COOL.  7.  LINK TO THE GOOGLE SCHOLAR SEARCH FOR ‘AMERICAN HERBAL MEDICINE RESEARCH’  https://scholar.google.com/scholar?as_ylo=2022&q=american+herbal+medicine+research&hl=en&as_sdt=0,48 8.  FINAL THOUGHTS Hope that helps everybody understand some of the stuff that is REAL that is still being researched and discussed and debated by actual medical experts and researchers.
I know and deeply appreciate that you didn’t intend to throw disabled people without proper access to doctors who give a shit under the bus.
Those of us with these oddball autoimmune diseases are overwhelmingly not taken seriously by doctors.  We are objects of intense interest to RESEARCH SCIENTISTS, so if we catch one of THAT SORT’s EYE we are guinea pigs.
We spend a lot of time on Google Scholar finding everything to do with our WTF is wrong now experiences and then we bring that full ass note book to the doctor, who says 'oh you really want attention don’t you’ and how he knows best and won’t even talk to the authors of the study to see if your situation and the ones they’re investigating are a match.  It’s horrid and common.  ESP FOR WOMEN, and even more so for women of color.
The wellness industry sprung up at first to serve those of us that the medical people generally don’t take seriously.  And then it morphed into a money grab by icky sorts.  Nothing more horrifying than watching people trying to heal while enduring medical neglect get coopted into weird toxic delusional shit.
i hate you alternative wellness natural chemical free vegan non-GMO herbal intuitive whole foods healing raw high vibrational plant based cleanse gluten free superfood supplement blend bullshit!!!! You're not healthier and more balanced and connected to the Earth because your smoothies are full of unidentifiable green and brown powders you got from a subscription box to ✨URTH-CRUNCH VAGINAL ENLIGHTENMENT✨!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What you really need to know about Pathogens in your body
Pathogens - Bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites are all types of pathogens that can cause minor or severe health issues when they enter your body.
Pathogens – Bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites are all types of pathogens that can cause minor or severe health issues when they enter your body. Each of these pathogens includes a variety of sub types that are responsible for a wide range of infections or diseases. I believe there are 3 causes of dis-ease and imbalance namely, stress, pathogens and toxins. Yet most times when people come…

Tolerance and Autoimmunity
Tolerance and Autoimmunity Tolerance and autoimmunity are foundational concepts in immunology that describe how the immune system distinguishes between the body’s own cells and foreign invaders like pathogens. Properly functioning immune tolerance prevents the immune system from attacking the body’s own tissues, while autoimmunity occurs when this tolerance breaks down. Immune…

"Harm reduction for diy hrt" WHAT HARM ??? SHOW ME THE HARM !!!
Years of paying attention and talking w ppl, not ONE "so&so happened to my buddy's metamour's friend" report of a major incident let alone a credible even 2nd or 3rd hand case study.
Actualized negative events associated with DIY hrt i DO have credible reports of: 1) swollen/itchy/painful injection sites in people reusing needles, not sterilizing vial tops, using poor injection technique 2) mild to moderate allergic reactions to carrier oils 3) using an ineffective dose with minor to moderate mood disturbances, flares of some autoimmune conditions, fatigue/weakness/brain fog/pain in people already susceptible to chronic pain, that subside with dosing/cycle adjustments
NONE OF THESE ISSUES are UNIQUE to the DIY element. In the cases of 2 and 3, there are significant pros to DIY bc it is easier/cheaper to access a preparation without an allergen when you are your own compounding pharmacy, and dosage changes can be made without permission/folks aren't stuck on shitty doses that could possibly create more significant health problems down the line for extended periods while waiting for prescriber approval to change.
Injection protocol education for IV NEEDLE DRUG USERS is harm reduction because there is HARM associated with the socio-medical conditions created by the war on drugs to ACTIVELY BLOCK access to safer use knowledge and tools. There is REAL HARM in the REAL WORLD that is REDUCED by addressing politically-introduced risk vectors in a specific class of autonomous medicine use.
Harm reduction is a specific term for a specific socio-medical concept regarding activities that, while involving inherent risk (as most aspects of Being Alive do!), occupy a position of ARTIFICIALLY INFLATED RISK due to criminalization, policing, and specific means of knolwege gatekeeping and/or disruption of transmission. As a term it has a specific history and purpose, to assert that the same risk mitigation and best-possible/acceptable/desirable care options should be available to all people regardless of their participation in stigmatized or illicit activities.
Discussion of risk and protocols associated with any form of medicine is vital to building robust, effective, desirable, and sustainable common-knowledge medical strategies; but to be effective at that these discussions have to be as accurate to the data points they describe as possible. Referring to risk mitigation strategies that do not address ACTUALIZED CONDITIONS RESULTING IN HARM as "Harm reduction" is inaccurate and occludes reality. One reason this is bad, among many, is that the fact that widespread negative events unique to the DIY element of DIY HRT are not CURRENTLY actually happening could potentially be an important datapoint in problem solving if it DOES happen in the future. If in three weeks some kid or collective somewhere starts DIYing and getting really sick, it is important for those people to know that THAT IS WEIRD!!!!!! and deserves a lot of detailed exploration of what went wrong, & not just assume that they just got unlucky/didn't Reduce Harm good enough.
Just say "these are what i think are best practices based on xyz evidence," and leave it at that. If for some reason you're uncomfortable saying THAT, it's probably a sign you don't know enough about what you're talking about and need to interrogate your epistemology more before opening your mouth to tell other people what to do.
That is all.

Chinese Herbal Silkie Chicken Soup
A popular immune-boosting elixir
Most often, a main ingredient of this soup is the Chinese Yam, a recommendation substitute for potatoes (a Nightshade vegetable) for those with autoimmune disorders because of its anti-inflammatory properties
Hannibal notably left out this ingredient in the soup he gave Will.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Treatments for Anti-NMDA Receptor Encephalitis:
Immunomodulatory/immunosuppressive therapies
Anti-seizure medication
Autoimmune Protocol Diet (AIP): a diet tailored to reduce inflammation, pain, and other symptoms caused by autoimmune diseases
Of the 5 ingredients Hannibal listed, 4 of them are potentially harmful for those with autoimmune disorders:
Wolf berries ("Goji Berries") - A 'Nightshade Vegetable', recommended to avoid if you have an autoimmune disorder
Red Dates ("Chinese Dates" or "Jujube") - The extract has been found to interact with some seizure medications
Ginseng ("Ginseng Root") - Studies have shown it can boost the immune system and exacerbate autoimmune diseases at the same time
Star Anise - Recommended against, according to the official AIP diet for people with autoimmune conditions
Hannibal enjoys creating situations where Will feels compelled to seek comfort (whether physical or emotional) from him, because he enjoys when Will needs him. He enjoys providing Will comfort, and he feels no guilt causing Will to need that comfort.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
His actions are always multifaceted.
Giving Will a comfort food that often holds friendly/familial/romantic connotations and ALSO causes Will to be more dependent on him is a 'killing two birds with one stone' plan.
Sweet and cruel in equal measure

I am feeling SO MUCH better today, no idea why. 😭 I feel like a whole new person again. So much energy!! I had my medication for the past two or three days, but I have doubts that it took this long for it to 'kick in', you know? So I wonder what the trigger was for the pain and inflammation to wane.
Regardless, I spoke with a good friend who experiences chronic illness via inflammatory issues and autoimmune issues, and so do some of her children and other family members. She's well-versed in the world of symptom management via naturopathy, so she made some sound recommendations for me. I'm going to start by adopting an anti-inflammatory diet. It seems the most sensible and least restrictive option, and has a lot of common sense health advice that I think anyone would agree with.
I'm going to suffer so much since I am absolutely obsessed with sugar and baking lol. But I think introducing a strong, stable, whole food diet for a while will have multiple benefits regardless, and if I notice that my symptoms are lessened because of it, great! And if I don't see a change in symptoms, I will talk to my doctor about the Autoimmune Protocol Diet.
The AIP is much more strenuous and restrictive, but it's a very specifically driven elimination diet. And I have a family history of heavy autoimmune disorders. So it is a concern I have in general. But because it's more involved, and I don't have a diagnosis for any of this pain yet, I'm trying not to take any extreme measures of my own. Just looking for relief that's safe, healthy, and within my control and access.
Does anyone have any experience with these diets, and have any advice or tips and recipes they want to share? :)

Leukocytes and Venipuncture Pages of Lab Scrapbook
Notes : I am sorry for the lack of posting, but I did kinda write about it already so I won't get into it. I am very tired and I'm just glad the dining hall opened today. I feel a lot less weak after I've eaten. I will probably have more to talk about every day since this is the last day of fall break, and it's the week before finals.
Thursday Study: Medical Lab Practical ; Mass Spectrometry ; Alkene Mechanisms (~4hrs study time) Friday Study: Mass Spectrometry ; Infrared Spectroscopy ; Anatomy Practical - CNS (~2hrs study time) Saturday Study: Infrared Spectroscopy ; Anatomy Practical - CNS ; Med Lab Practical (~4.5hrs study time) Sunday Study: Alkane, Alkene, and Alkyne Mechanisms ; Infrared Spectroscopy ; Mass Spectrometry ; Anatomy Practical - CNS ; Other Remaining Topics I Procrastinated (~7.5hrs study time)
I am thugging it out. I really feel the finals season nightmare coming. I am kinda excited because it gives me something to do. I am trying to keep my anxiety down by doing fun stuff, like coloring books and making schoolwork into a sorta game-ified challenge. We'll see how it goes.
Tumblr media
Yap Session:
I'm very annoyed at my school right now. I don't have enough credits to be a full-time student in senior year, but I don't have the right schedule to graduate early. I am considering another minor just for fun and something to do, but it might be hard to do that. I kinda want an art minor. I need to work on my painting skills and I need some accountability for that.
I said I wasn't going to study during the holiday, but I did anyway. I decided to make my medlab practical binder into a scrapbook so that I can have fun. I got pictures!! I also did some degree planning work because I have an advising appointment on Monday (tomorrow).
After break I really need to get back on my Autoimmune Protocol Diet. I think the inflammation is throwing all of my joints out of wack. I don't need to go full elimination phase, but maybe I do because the first time I refused to cut out coffee and tomatoes. I'll talk to my doctor lol.
Update on that last one: my hands aren't really working anymore, so I did start AIP, because I'll literally try anything. I's very hard to study when my hands keep getting tremors or stop working altogether. Just gotta make it through finals, then my body can do what it wants.

I don’t know if I can do AIP in December. It really limits my activities. I want to go do fun holiday things but a lot of them involve food and I don’t want to be talking about chronic illnesses and diets when I’m just meeting people. But if I just pause AIP now is it going to cause my body to be super inflamed and painful? I’m also on my period right now so I have cravings and no fucks so maybe I should wait until it’s over to make decisions. I’m also annoyed that if I stop it’s going to be a thing with my aunt because she was so proud of me and impressed that I was losing weight even though that wasn’t the point. It like becomes a reflection of her in her mind. But it’s not. I’m an adult. Let me do what I want even if you think it’s bad for me!
