About the book: Sukhjit Kaur Khalsa knows a thing or two about telling a story. From her experience on stages and in front of live and television audiences, she now offers us her first book. Sukhjit reflects on her own experience as a Sikh-Australian woman, performing it against a backdrop of comfort and calamity: how we live our lives in a messy and multi-layered society.
Using the staging of meals as her mode, Sukhjit explores presumptions and the nuances of all that we can bring to the table. She plays with the etiquette of what is carried into public arenas and what stays in our private worlds: our aspirations and heritage, and all our baggage. There are no exclusionary zones for this courageous, passionate, irreverent, and very funny, writer.

A man raped a woman on a busy street in India recently and the bystanders (all men) recorded and posted the videos on the internet, instead of saving her.
Another recent news from India, A 6 year old girl was saved from a rape attempt by a troop of monkeys who attacked and chased away the rapist.
We live in a world where even animals who have no socialisation about basic morals are safer than men who create those morals and laws.
Men talk about being protectors to protect us from dangerous animals when in reality it’s the animals protecting us from these parasites.
The irony!
No wonder women chose the bears 🐻

As an Asian woman, it makes me laugh how libfems try to degrade the whole radical feminism movement by calling it "white feminism". When in fact it is libfems who are white feminists, and never the other way around.
It's they some white privileged twitter dumbasses who have never seen what a REAL poor life is like in their lives, that sit around thinking that prostitution is okay and there's no shame in surrogacy, knowing full well that the victims of these "jobs" are we, women of color.
Women who escaped their countries from dictatorships, poverty and lack of any women's rights to more "progressive" countries, without knowing language or having papers, thinking they had gone to a better life where they would be helped, only to find themselves as a piece of meat for men's amusement.
So libfem, shut the fuck up. I can't take your bullshit. And it's good to know that radical feminism is prevalent in my republic, as it is in most Asian countries. I love all my Asian sisters that I interact with now and have been able to interact with in the past, in all the years I have spent in this wonderful movement❤️❤️

“Noa Argamani was treated well!”
She was kept as a hostage slave in a wealthy family’s apartment, forced to clean it whenever they knocked without warning, for EIGHT MONTHS. Just because they fed her does not mean she wasn’t a hostage and a slave. Her mother also has terminal cancer and was afraid she was never going to see her again.
If you start justifying human rights abuses against women, Jews, and Asians (she is half Chinese) because they are Israeli, you were never against antisemitism, misogyny, or wanted to stop Asian hate.
You can support both Palestinian and Israeli civilian lives.

A Thousand Cuts series, Sujata Setia, 2023
Derived from the ancient Asian form of torture “Death by a thousand cuts” or “Lingchi”, A Thousand Cuts is a series of portraits and stories that present a photographic study of patterns of domestic abuse in the South Asian community.

Stop Saying "The World's Oldest Profession".
An article about the racist origin of the phrase "the oldest profession" being linked to sex work.
You may have heard selling sex referred to as the world’s oldest profession. People who claim to be allies to sex workers will sometimes use this phrase in a positive way, to lend sex workers legitimacy by referencing how long sex work has existed for. In reality, this phrase has a deeply racist origin and sex workers have no need to be legitimized through appeals to the age of the profession.

South Asian men and their usual obsession with using racism-card to play victim. Good that nobody likes you disgusting men anymore. You are worldwide known as rapists now. Deal with it! It’s your fault! And btw, india is actually a rape capital. India is in the top five countries with the highest rape rates. Thanks to Indian girls for not staying silent and defaming south asian men everywhere in the world.

Asian beauty standards
Now it's already getting hot in my home country and the sun is shining more and more, so it's time for SPF creams. But the main problem here is not the UV index, but the fact that no matter which store I buy the SPF from, it always comes with bleaching.
Like what? Is that a necessary feature? I hate asian beauty standards. It's so brainwashing, if only u knew. Every single goddamn day you see people with bleached skin on the street in billboards, you turn on the TV and it's the same thing but now with filters, it's the same thing on the local YouTube. Just constant pressure on you.
And sometimes u go to the mirror and see how tanned u r compared to what you were recently and u r like: "Damn, I'm already so brown. Am I that ugly?..😭😭" So u have to mentally slap urself in the face and tell that there's nothing wrong with brown skin.
And it doesn't come easy, cuz ur friends suffer from it too, constantly criticizing themselves for tan, too "dark" skin. People are so into saying that women aren't pressured with beauty standards, but how can I escape it at all if it's all around me? Even I radfem find it hard to turn a blind eye to such things.
