context and explanation: EA's quarterly earnings conference call for Q4 and FY 2024 starts in just under 15 minutes at 2pm PT. before the calls start, some of the associated files/documents pertaining to the call get put up on EA's website. The "Core Business and FY25 Title Slate" image is from the Earnings Slides. the quote under the table reads "We have two unannounced titles in FY25: one partner title expected in Q4, and one owned IP title, which is not included in the above table. We expect to provide more details on timing at a later date." DA:D is an owned IP title of EA. The Twitter user asks Jeff Grubb (a games media person who revealed the title of DA:D) if the referenced "one owned IP title" is DA:D. Jeff confirms that this does indeed refer to Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, meaning that this slide confirms that DA:D is planned to release in FY25 (Financial Year 25). for info, I think FY25 runs from 1st April 2024 until 31st March 2025.

Still in the trenches with this Twine port (and will be for a while), but also trying to be more diligent about keeping people more informed about stuff: I never really used Twitter to begin with, but will officially no longer be on it as of today and have made an account over on Bluesky at lenanguyenauthor.bsky.social. There is nothing there at the moment, but if you're on Bluesky as well and looking for accounts to follow, I'll be using that account to share updates about my books, games, and all other such news in the future! :D

There's speculation that a twitter account (everydruidwaswr, previously wilboooo) is William Pellen, one of the lead developers at Team Cherry. A post made yesterday says "something big is coming. keep your eyes closed tomorrow". The profile picture was changed to be a Brooklyn Blackout Cake. On the website, the date says "April 2nd, 2024".

In other news, the Nintendo Switch 2 was just announced today, and there will be more info on April 2nd. This is exactly one year after the cake article was made.

Fun fact: I decided that the colors around him would mean that he would have a spark instead of inserting banal hearts. This is most likely a new feeling of being needed by your best friend.

A lot of DRS3 information today, courtesy of DuckBricks and Bricks By Mind's interviews with Lego designers:

Zarkt is the Elemental Master of Misfortune. Could have done "Luck" (much like Brute Force could have just been Force) or smth like that but ig we're just going with evil powers

Thunderfang wanted to be a Source Dragon but was denied by the Council. Elevating a regular dragon to the rank of Source Dragon is both a) a massive lore drop and b) probably what happens to Riyu at the end of Dragons Rising

The Arc Dragon of Focus (why are they not the "Arch" Dragon -- e.g. Matriarch, Patriarch?) is a "Champion of the Source Dragons." I'm wondering if this means they are also a Conduit, or something more akin to Lloyd and the Ninja acting on the orders of the Motion SD in S2P2

In the first scene of the first episode of DRS3, we'll see a battle (presumably a flashback) between the Arc Dragon of Focus and Thunderfang, which occurs in the First Realm. Thunderfang is defeated and imprisoned under a mountain in the First Realm, atop which the Dragonian Storm Village is established

This battle occurs shortly "after time had a name," so after the creation of Ninjago. Wondering if it was around the time of the FF, before them, after them?

Thunderfang is creating some sort of storm, which is the reason for the Ninja's new suits -- although that just raises further questions as to why Sora and Wyldfyre don't have new ones. Kinda doubt this connection will be explicitly stated in show

The Forbidden Five were invented for the show first, then translated into sets. No lore implications but it's interesting to hear how the behind the scenes process works (Wyldfyre was a similar show -> set character)

The animation for the S3 intro might be the best one yet and has a cool setting

If this doesn't totally de-confirm the "leaked episode descriptions" that went around a few weeks ago, it should. Not only did the site they came from change the mention of "two blades" to "Prismatic blades" only after we heard about the prismatic blades publicly (of which there are five), the Arc Dragon of Focus isn't mentioned in the descriptions until Episode 7, despite appearing in the first scene of the season
