♥️Reveling in Richonne - TOWL

#42: The Fuel (1.04)

Even when everything crashes down around them, Richonne's love always prevails. 🥹

And now that they’ve recentered on what truly fuels them, Richonne then gets every type of fuel they need to finally go home. So we gotta close out this masterpiece of an episode with the breakdown of ep 4's final glorious moments. 👌🏽😇

The fact that we were really spoiled from literally minute one to the final seconds of Episode 4 - I have to thank Danai one million times for writing this thoughtful Richonne love letter episode and forever thank Andy & Danai for performing every part impeccably 🙏🏽💐...

After deciding to go home together in such a well-earned way—which, that's another thing - the fact that Danai didn’t even need an extended episode to convincingly craft an arc where Richonne could start off more at odds than they’ve ever been, and then not just beautifully, but also believably and organically, bring them back together by the end, leaving them feeling more bonded than ever before. She’s an illustrious talent. 🤩

So now Richonne is ready to head out because this building is on its last legs. And as they walk, Rick is finally out of the CRM gear and in casual apparel for the first time with Michonne. And I loved seeing that. The hold the CRM had on him is finally removed. 😌

The temp controller announces another malfunction and says the elevator only has ten minutes of reserve power left. Which hearing that...it’s wild Rick and Michonne still used that elevator…even tho I’m glad they did. 😏

As they make their way to the door, they stop for a moment and I love the way it’s filmed with us being able to see them between the panels. Rick gets his blade ready and then he looks at the real source of his strength Michonne.

And then you already know I absolutely adore that Rick leans in for them to share a kiss before they head out of this place. It’s the sweetest thing. 🥰And it immediately lets you know Richonne really is back.

That kiss is pure gold and highly ranked for me, y'all. Like as quick as this moment is, it’s still so special and romantic. I appreciate any and every reminder that Rick and Michonne are each other's baby and that kiss was definitely giving that.

Also, I just have to reiterate that Danai wrote such a quality episode of television. I love how at the top of the ep we see Michonne first exit the apartment alone and in pain, and then later Rick exits the apartment alone and panicked, and then at the end they show Richonne leaving the apartment together and healed because they’re finally operating like the honest unit they’re meant to be.

And again, it’s impressive how earned it all feels with Richonne starting the ep more at odds than ever and then truly being on one accord and one being again by the end of the hour.

It's sweet that as they’re about to re-enter the walker-infested world they want this reassuring and comforting moment of connection as this kiss just communicates that they’re in it together no matter what they face outside these walls.

Then he whispers ready and she nods and Rick opens the door for Michonne to go through first. Bye, Apartment 👋🏽, you were very very good to us, chile. But now it’s time for Richonne to go home. Won’t He do it. 🙌🏽

So then once they enter the hall they have one of my favorite action sequences. I love the way it's choreographed for them to be so in sync through this whole thing. This action sequence said let us remind you who are the two baddest to ever do it. 😌

I love the way it really is like they’re killing these walkers as one in the way they’re tag-teaming. Michonne steps out the hall first but then Rick is ready to get the first one and then they just take them down like only they can and it’s a great sight.

And Rick loves the sight of Richonne in action too the way he takes a moment to look at Michonne as they walk forward. I love that it's always clear Rick is invigorated by the fact that he and Michonne are a power couple. And again, the merging of the red and blue light as it comes together to make purple is great and gives TOWL a fresh different vibe than TWD. Seeing Richonne walk in the purple light just feels like they too have blended back into one again. 😌

And then that elevator...😏

Y’all, let me express some gratitude for this elevator right here. It gave us some absolute gold, honey. 😇

They approach the elevator and work together to get a walker out of the way. And then once they enter, Rick kicks the walker's arm, and Michonne, serving with her stance, realizes hey we have some time while this elevator goes down so naturally she looks over at Rick with that 'my man, my man, my man' look.

Then Michonne grabs the strap of Rick's backpack and pulls her into him and we can see him rushing into her just as the blood-stained elevator doors close. I love it. 😋 Look at frisky Michonne wanting a piece of her man right now lol. 🤭 Who can blame her?

And when I first watched I thought that was gonna be it. Like they were just going to imply that they make out in the elevator. But no being a Richonne stan means being hella spoiled and so we actually get to see this all play out. 😊

They cut to Richonne making out inside the elevator and it’s just so good.❤️‍🔥 Also, it's funny how you’d never guess that Michonne was the one who initiated this the way Rick so quickly matches the energy and throws her against that wall. Rick can't quite be outhungered when it comes to Richonne kisses lol.

Like Michonne's always on the same page with that intense immense love but Rick's always going to be the more extra one by a little bit. Here for it. 😋

They were real into it in that elevator and had themselves another moanversation. I love that they are always on the same timing and both crazy enough to be so unconcerned with the fact that this building is about to come toppling down. Like they are just passionately present in this hot moment and it’s great. 👌🏽😋

Richonne are really and truly irresistible to each other and I love how their desire is always on display. And you can just tell Michonne loves Rick’s assertive affection as he practically consumes her and she slides her finger down his face. And as for Rick...he's addicted to his wife in the best way. 😊

Also, I always like seeing that “Failure is never an option” sign because I be needing that reminder in life and also it just feels like a thesis statement or something as to why Richonne is always able to win. When they refuse to fantasize about failing they always come out on top together. 👌🏽

So they manage to pull themselves off each other enough to run and kill more walkers and make it out of the building as they make a run for the vehicle. I remember in 2023 there were those set pics from this outdoor running moment and it felt so nice to now get to see what that all was from. Little did we know it was filmed for the greatest Richonne episode of all time. 🤩

With Richonne outside we continue to get insight into the destruction going on inside the apartment, including the death of the temp controller I believe. RIP, to the narrator of Richonne's ep 4 journey.

And then Richonne make it to that yellow truck and let me tell you Richonne + cars is undefeated. 👌🏽 It’s always going to make for a golden moment and this one here of course is no exception. 😏

They run into the car and I adore the detail of Rick holding that book that Michonne said Judith would love. A whole FATHER. 😭🙌🏽 And this just goes to show that everything Michonne said to Rick when he had those walls up at the top of the ep was absolutely resonating with him even if he wasn’t fully letting on at first.

I mean, Rick always hangs on Michonne’s every word so of course everything she said stuck, especially about their children. (Also, it just hit me that that’s likely part of why Rick was thinking about getting a gift for RJ in the next episode since he knew they’re bringing the book as a gift for their daughter. 🥲)

So they get in the car but then Rick realizes there’s a slight complication as he tells Michonne it’s a “Stick shift.” I love the way Michonne looks at him and smiles when she realizes that means her little amputee cutie won't be able to drive this particular vehicle.

And y’all, since she has to drive that means Rick and Michonne have to switch seats. 😏 It's great how even a car being a stick shift can lead to Richonne gold, because this next moment is top tier. 🤩 Richonne stans, we ate good with TOWL, honey. 😇 Practically every second in this miniseries is rooted in Richonne’s romance. 🙌🏽

Also, I heard it was the episode's director Michael Slovis who had the idea for this next golden part, and I gotta take a moment to give Slovis his tens too. He did an outstanding job directing this Richonne love letter episode. 👏🏽💐

So Rick and Michonne have to switch seats and they’re not gonna just get out of the car and do that - no, instead they attempt to just quickly climb over each other but, I’ve said it once I’ll say it 1000 times…Richonne are magnets. 🧲 So of course they couldn’t be that close to each other and not just start going to town again and making out. I love our hungry little couple that stays starving for each other. 😋

When Michonne is on top of him you can see the determination on Rick’s face to turn this into something lol. And of course she’s on the same timing as they start making out. Like this building is really going to fall in mere seconds and they don’t give a damn. 🤭

They’re so happily distracted by their love and I’m here for it. They said that whole ‘love on each other as hard as we can while we can thing’ starts effective immediately. Also, only Richonne could make switching seats hot lol. 🔥

Then it’s sweet to see the Roomba still going til it can’t go anymore. It’s resilient like Richonne.

Also, it was really smart to put a sort of timer in the episode, and a high stakes timer at that, with the fact that the ep took place in a building on the verge of collapse. It's symbolic of how Richonne had to come the closest they’ve ever come to wondering if perhaps their relationship is on the verge of collapse as well. But of course like the Roomba that just won’t quit, they emerge from the building together and stronger. Richonne isn't the building, they’re the Roomba.

And then y’all. Y’ALL. You already know what I’m about to address. It is now wonderfully canon to know 🗣 MICHONNE CALLS RICK 'BABY.'

I know I was previously in the camp that heard Michonne call Rick 'baby' earlier in the bedroom scene but that one I didn't hear on my first watch. This 'baby' right here in this blessed yellow truck tho - undeniably clear. And so great. 🤩

They cut to the two still making out like it’s the only thing on the agenda, but then Michonne knows that it actually is coming down to the wire with the building about to fall. So she whispers to Rick, “Baby, I gotta drive.” 🫠🤩🫠🤩🫠🤩

From “You want to drive?” to “Baby, I gotta drive.” What a journey. 😭🎁

I didn’t know how much I needed to hear Michonne call Rick 'baby' but when I heard it I was like oh I’ve needed to hear this all my life lol.

So y’all, can I happy dance one time? Because hearing Michonne call Rick 'baby' makes me ridiculously happy. 😋

Now whenever I see any pre-canon TWD moments between Rick and Michonne I just stop and think wow one day she’ll call that man her baby. 😭 Like that’ll just be their norm because the way she says it and the way he responds, it’s clear he’s used to that. It’s so sweet and fitting. 🥰

I know we often like to wonder about Richonne pet names and I think it’s so cute that she calls Rick baby because really that is her baby. When I first heard this, y'all, I rewound it so much to make sure I didn't just imagine it lol. It was perfect. 😇

(Also since this kissing moment wasn't scripted and it was something Slovis suggested they do while filming, I'm assuming that would mean the 'baby, i gotta drive' was improvised as well. If so, I love that these talented creatives know just what to do and say with these characters 🙌🏽😊)

And I love that Michonne has to remind him that she has to drive because if she didn’t Rick would have been down to make RJ #2 up in that car. Like he’s lost in her yet again while their making out and of course, the moaning has returned. The man can’t help it. 😊

This whole lovely kissing moment further proves that for Rick the world can wait when he’s with Michonne. And the way Michonne says the line you can tell that the only reason she’s stopping is cuz they literally need to go. If they didn’t have to book it out of here right now…she’d be down for whatever too. You already know. 😋

I love how Richonne’s favorite thing is kissing each other breathlessly and how they prove time and time again that the magnet thing might as well be literal. Also, the fact that they kiss during every phase of this exit - at the apartment door, in the elevator, and in the car. Real lovers are back. 😍

And they are never beating the adrenaline kink allegations, y’all. But I love how they, like us, are very cognizant of the fact that Richonne in fight mode is a sexy thing.

And then I love that after she tells him 'Baby I gotta drive' they both laugh a little knowing how easily they get caught up. And then Rick is so refreshingly looser and more himself as he says, “Right. They made a stick shift electric car” and then he looks back and sees they left tanks of ethanol in the backseat.

Let me repeat - The universe is a Richonner. 😋 The second Richonne got it together the universe was like here we’ll provide the fuel (and the food 🍜😉) and all the logistics.

I love how they both get excited learning the car is a hybrid. It reminds me when they were excited about those MREs in Say Yes.

So then Michonne notes how they have to thank the innovators for the hybrid and how those people clearly thought they could do anything and Rick says, “Yep but we can. ‘We can make this whole world ours if we want to.’” Do you know how much of a loverboy you have to be to quote your wife’s words from a DREAM? 🫠 Most swoon-worthy thing ever and I’m so here for it. 🙌🏽

I love that Rick is back to believing in Richonne. 🥰 Also I always laugh when I think back to when I first watched this because I remember just being like 'Aw he’s quoting her from the proposal dream ☺️' and then I gasped and was like 'oh that is a clear sign that he’s going to give her a ring in TOWL 🫢.' Like Rick quoting Dream Michonne in this car made me know for sure a wedding ring was coming cuz he's thinking about that particular '5 Pizzas & a Wedding Ring' dream. 👌🏽

I love seeing playful Rick again and Michonne brings that out of him so often and so naturally. And Michonne’s reaction is great when she looks at him like 'I agree but also...what??' I love that she affirms it tho saying, “Yes we can. That sounds like something I’d say.”

And then Rick all contently says, “It is.” Y'all, i'm crying. 🥹 What a touching, lighthearted, and meaningful way to close out this episode's dialogue. 👏🏽

I love that Michonne knows she’d say that phrase and that Rick knows it full well too. He’s like baby, my dreams of you are extremely accurate, trust me. And the way he studies that woman of course they are. 😊

It’s just so special that those dreams at one point were all Rick really had of her and now here he gets to refer to them with the woman herself after she’s loved him back to life.

As they get the car going there’s a little jump scare when a walker hits Rick’s window, and seeing them both jump and then be like okay let’s go - if they got any cuter my heart would not be able to take it lol. And the fact that Andy improvised that jumpscare reaction. Love it.

Rick and Michonne were just so back. Like they’re back to being the Richonne that’s playful, and flirty, and fully connected. A clear weight has been lifted off them and they're so in tune with each other again and it fills my heart with joy. 🥰

They drive and then it feels very poetic to see the building finally fall. I love the way Danai described the building as a cocoon that would determine if Richonne really can come out butterflies. And they soared out beautifully. 😭🦋

It also feels very symbolic of the way the walls Richonne had up around their hearts at the start of the episode have also officially fallen as they're back to being one in every way.

So having served its purpose of helping Richonne reconnect and bloom, the building could now come down. It’s almost like all the hard things they expressed and went through get to tumble down with the building as they head into a brighter horizon.

Having made it out just in time, Michonne watches the building fall from the rearview mirror and just smiles knowing she and Rick are finally back on track and on their way home like she's long been wanting.

Then as Michonne smiles she has this loving look over to Rick and of course he’s already looking her way. 🥰 I love how his look over at her was such a loud and clear 'I love you.'

You just know that as he looks at her he knows he’s gonna be getting down on one knee with a ring the second he has a chance.

And then the way he looks down with a smile. 😭 At this moment I really think ‘I’m so in love with her’ is the direct quote from his mind. That and “How’d I get so lucky finding you again.”

And Michonne can feel the love as she has her own 'I love you' smile at Rick and looks forward. That's the smile of a woman who knows good things can happen when you and your husband take a plunge out of a helicopter. 👌🏽

That’s also the smile of a writer who just knocked it all the way out of the park writing this brilliant episode. 🔥👏🏽

And a surefire way to make me happy is to see Richonne happy, so I absolutely adore that this stunning episode ends with Richonne’s smiles. They’re together. They’re happy. They’re in love. All is well. 😌

As they drive off, I adore the Asibe Happy song they use. I love that it feels like a homage to Danai to have it be music from the motherland. And just the lyrics are so fitting saying We're happy/We're in love/They tried to come between us but they failed. The vibe is so different from TWD in a really cool way and it’s just a great choice. 👌🏽

It’s funny tho because my extra self had this song stuck in my head for a few days after the episode aired and despite it having a positive vibe I could not stop getting choked up when hearing it. 🥲 Like now for me the song represents Richonne overcoming and driving off into the sunset and it’s so beautiful and feels so much like a happily ever after ending that the music was constantly making me want to shed tears.

But while it could have easily felt like this was the end of the story and Richonne was driving off into the sunset for good as this masterful episode faded to black…we still weren’t done yet. 😌

TOWL still had two more episodes of Richonne gold to give us with some very wonderful developments in their relationship. 👌🏽

But before we head into the final two episodes of TOWL, let me just conclude the 'What We' posts by saying Wow. This is how you do a moving, meaningful, and masterful episode of television.

What Danai so thoughtfully created with this episode exceeded expectations and truly shined the brightest light on why Richonne is so very special. Why it’s my Roman Empire. Why it’s my favorite depiction of love of all time. 😍

Never have I written so much about one TV episode, but I knew I’d have to go all out for Episode 4 because it’s what this important experience deserves. Every emotion, every scene, every choice, was pure excellence. 👏🏽

Andy and Danai have some of their greatest performances ever and I love that this episode was so packed with riveting dialogue and so focused solely on the two fascinating characters of Rick and Michonne and their extremely compelling relationship. It really gave Andy and Danai the space to again solidify why they're the best in the business and why Richonne is the greatest TV couple of all. 👑

I’m so grateful to them for giving their all as the people who bring Richonne to life and to Danai for writing something so inspiring and exceptional. 🔥

I’ll thank her 1000 times for lovingly and diligently crafting a Richonne episode that is food for the soul and delves into love, pain, trauma, and triumph with such honesty, creativity, and care.

This franchise and fandom are so fortunate to have such an astronomically gifted actress and writer share her gifts this way. 💯

Episode 4 was immensely heartfelt, hot, humurous, healing and profoundly human. It'll stick with me forever. It's embedded in my heart and I wouldn’t have it any other way.🥹

It's not every day you get to see your favorite thing reach its peak of perfection but that's what this episode was for me - capturing the mesmerizing depth and beauty of Richonne at its absolute best. So I'll cherish this shining treasure of an episode always.👌🏽😌

Iris Barrel Apfel, Decorator and Fashion Stylist

(August 29, 1921 – March 1, 2024)

Ms. Apfel was one of the most vivacious personalities in the worlds of fashion, textiles, and interior design, she has cultivated a personal style that is both witty and exuberantly idiosyncratic.

Her originality was typically revealed in her mixing of high and low fashions—Dior haute couture with flea market finds, nineteenth-century ecclesiastical vestments with Dolce & Gabbana lizard trousers.

With remarkable panache and discernment, she combines colors, textures, and patterns without regard to period, provenance, and, ultimately, aesthetic conventions. Paradoxically, her richly layered combinations—even at their most extreme and baroque—project a boldly graphic modernity.

Iris Barrel was born on Aug. 29, 1921, in Astoria, Queens, the only child of Samuel Barrel, who owned a glass and mirror business, and his Russian-born wife, Sadye, who owned a fashion boutique.

She studied art history at New York University, then qualified to teach and did so briefly in Wisconsin before fleeing back to New York to work on Women's Wear Daily, and for interior designer Elinor Johnson, decorating apartments for resale and honing her talent for sourcing rare items before opening her own design firm. She was also an assistant to illustrator Robert Goodman.

As a distinguished collector and authority on antique fabrics, Iris Apfel has consulted on numerous restoration projects that include work at the White House that spanned nine presidencies from Harry Truman to Bill Clinton.

Along with her husband, Carl, she founded Old World Weavers, an international textile manufacturing company and ran it until they retired in 1992. The Apfels specialized in the reproduction of fabrics from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries, and traveled to Europe twice a year in search of textiles they could not source in the United States.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute assembled 82 ensembles and 300 accessories from her personal collection in 2005 in a show about her called “Rara Avis”.

Almost overnight, Ms. Apfel became an international celebrity of pop fashion.

Ms. Apfel was seen in a television commercial for the French car DS 3, became the face of the Australian fashion brand Blue Illusion, and began a collaboration with the start-up WiseWear. A year later, Mattel created a one-of-a-kind Barbie doll in her image. Last year, she appeared in a beauty campaign for makeup with Ciaté London.

Six years after the Met show she started her fashion line "Rara Avis" with the Home Shopping Network.

She was cover girl of Dazed and Confused, among many other publications, window display artist at Bergdorf Goodman, designer and design consultant, then signed to IMG in 2019 as a model at age 97.

Ms. Iris Apfel became a visiting professor at the University of Texas at Austin in its Division of Textiles and Apparel, teaching about imagination, craft and tangible pleasures in a world of images.

In 2018, she published “Iris Apfel: Accidental Icon,” an autobiographical collection of musings, anecdotes and observations on life and style.

Ms. Apfel’s apartments in New York and Palm Beach were full of furnishings and tchotchkes that might have come from a Luis Buñuel film: porcelain cats, plush toys, statuary, ornate vases, gilt mirrors, fake fruit, stuffed parrots, paintings by Velázquez and Jean-Baptiste Greuze, a mannequin on an ostrich.

The Museum of Lifestyle & Fashion History in Boynton Beach, Florida, is designing a building that will house a dedicated gallery of Ms. Apfel's clothes, accessories, and furnishings.

Ms. Apfel’s work had a universal quality, It’s was a trend.

"This better be good," Renee started as she slid into the diner booth in front of her best friend. "I had to cancel a date for this."

"Kate?" Charlie said with that placid expression that just begged for a punch. "Or are you two broken up again."

"Charlie if you don’t start talking right now, I’m walking right back out," she warned

"Still broken up then," Charlie said as he nodded sagely.

Renee took a deep breath before releasing it slowly. She would not shoot her best friend, she told herself. No matter how annoying he was. "Just tell me what I’m here for."

Charlie leaned forward and Renee mirrored him unconsciously. "I’ve been investigating some shady arms deals recently."

"Do arm deals even register in Hub City?"

"They do when it’s a new supplier with tech powered by an all-new power source," Charlie said as he started tapping on the table and Renee leaned back to contemplate the information.

"Who’s the new player?" She asked

"I don’t know," he answered, pondering. "But I've heard Leblanc has insisted on a face to face meeting."

"When?" Renee asked.

"Tonight," Charlie said with a smirk. "You up for it, partner?"

She sighed. "A little forewarning would’ve been nice."

"Please," he tilted his head, amused. "I’m sure you packed everything you need for this and more."

"Still," Renee said though they both knew he was right.

A few hours later, they were laying in wait on the rooftop overlaying a dark, grimy alley that smelled vaguely of urine even so high up. They were both in their Question apparel, only the face mask being left off.

"It’s been two hours already," Renee grumbled as she looked through the binoculars she’d brought. "Either your guy is late or the tip was bad."

"One would think you’d be more patient on stakeouts considering," Charlie piped up.

"One would be wrong," Renee answered as she turned to glare at the man who looked as unruffled as ever, the bastard. Then he perked up.

"Shhh," Charlie said and she turned back towards their query.

Out of the shadows were coming a group of men looking armed and mean.

"Leblanc & goons," Charlie said quietly and Renee looked down, as the guys spread out on one side of the Alley. They settled in place for a few minutes before settling down. It was calm again, but there was now a tension in the air.

Then, from the other end of the Alley walked in a lone man dressed in a black suit with a red bolo tie, his gray hair tied in a ponytail.

"Gentlemen," he started affably. "What a pleasure it is to meet you at last."

"Masters," Leblanc answered. "You showed up."

"I’m a man of my word," the newly-dubbed-Masters said with a cold smile. "Am I to assume you are as well?"

"You’ll get your money once I get my shipment," the arms dealer answered.

"You have it," Masters answered glibly.

Leblanc gave him a look and Masters smiled.

The arms dealer took out a phone and talked quietly in it for a few seconds before he snapped it close and turned towards Masters again.

"Would you look at that," Leblanc then said, "you really are a man of your word."

"As I said," the suited salt-and-pepper man deferred as he shrugged.

"Pity for you, I’m not," the arms dealer said with a smile, and Renee tensed but even as the goons raised their guns, Masters only sighed.

"What a shame," he said and then snapped his fingers. "Boys," he barked sharply.

From the ground emerged a handful of giant neon green vultures wearing… were those fez hats?

Renee wasn’t the only one taken aback, as the goons stood gobsmacked for a second, and it was a second too long. As a group, the vultures all dove for the gun-toting goons and in a few seconds it was over.

Masters alone stood in the alley littered with still bodies.

"I hate when my plans fall through," he muttered as he nudged one of the bodies laying on the floor. Then he continued, his voice pitched louder, "Make sure none of them remember about tonight."

One of the vulture straightened. "Will do, Boss."

"And get the ecto-guns back to the mansion," Masters added.

The same vulture did a little salute before turning towards the other birds. "You heard the Boss, get to work!"

All the vultures scattered, with half of them flying off and the other half diving for the downed men, as they dove through them - no, Renee thought, it was more like they dove into them.

There were a few moments of stillness before all the birds flew right back out and then away to rejoin their flock.

"Where have the honest crooks gone," the man bemoaned to himself once he was alone once again, walking out of the alleyway. "This industry has gone to the dogs…"

As he disappeared from view, he was soon too far for Renee to catch his mutters and silence fell again.

After a few minutes, once she was sure they were alone, she turned to Charlie, with slightly wide eyes. "What the hell was that?"

"That," he answered with a gleam in his eyes, "is an excellent question."

Things to notice at your campus' pro-Palestine protest

A\N: I'll try to keep this concise as people here ignore long posts, and I've talked about most of these issues in the past.People here will believe the most outlandish claims about Jews, especially if they're Israelis. -Protect your Jewish friends. -Stop spreading blood libels and non credible images about this war. please check your sources.

Antisemitic rhetoric, blood libels and misinformation

I'm a secular Jew, but the amount of misinformation and antisemitism in those protests is just exhausting. At this point, people will believe anything about Jews Zionists.

2. Nazi- like rhetoric is making it's return Just replace the word "Zionist" with "Jew", and you'll get Nazi propaganda.. Examples: Pro- Palestine doing sieg heils in protets, describing Zionists as animals (pigs, rats, insects..), "Zionists control everything\the banks\the news", Zionists have "tentacles"...

STOP CALLING JEWS NAZIS! What is wrong with you people?? 3. Revisionism- rewriting history to fit the Anti-Zionist narrative. Check what is being said, in a neutral source as people are apparently now editing Wikipedia articles about Jewish holidays and history. PLEASE- stop trying to correct us and teach us about our own history, you're wrong 99% of the time.We're constantly being accused of revisionism, while the opposite is true...We're constantly asked to cite our sources and show "proof", while the source is simply our personal experience, our family's history.

4.Double Standarts I'll start with the best example: It's not a war- it's a genocide. I get it , I don't like war either and I am literally living through this one.

Again- I'm not denying the deaths and definitely not supporting them. However, it is important to note that the numbers and stories are often exaggerated (either by heat of the moment or knowingly ). 5. Using Jewish culture against us

Many protest try to incorporate Jewish elements, and even "celebrate" Pesach (in some cases, they did this a week late lol)... However, all of this is simply Dog- whistling and a try to use our culture against us.

You can't do this and then harass Jews on campus, target Jewish events or prevent access from them. You're pro-Jewish when it's comfortable for you: You can not wish us a happy holiday or try to be inclusive, and then chant "from the river to sea" or spread misinformation...

Anti zionists are treating this like a trend: Just like the war in Ukraine and treatment of women in Iran. Only in this case, the sentiments quickly turned into Antisemitism in the guise of Anti Zionism.

Supporting Palestinian businesses, trying traditional food and apparel is all great- just don't erase or mock Jewish Culture while you're at it.

6. Look out for problematic Sources and stop telling Jews to "educate ourselves"

-Suddenly Western media (which is heavily biased against Israel and is inaccurate) isn't trustworthy. Do you want them to just call us all killers? is that it?

Ironically , when actual Israelis (like myself) tell you about our actual experiences and link credible sources, it's dismissed as propaganda.

Me, with the objectively worst opinion: Oh...I liked the idea of a QPR Lila x Five.

I'm only halfway through S4, but I like it over S3. (Victor's son caused me to mentally block out like 90% of S3)

Review so far:

Luther's plot: 3/10. I'd love for him to stop being the butt of the joke.

Diego: 0/10. Horrible. You're going to make him a dad and tell me he is not like a super loving and caring father and show me any of that????? Why???? Is he always treated so bad by the plot. Stop making fun of him ffs. Oh, he's barely even chubby, but make fun of his weight. Oh, he's kind of concerned his wife doesn't love him...when she doesn't....make him seem paranoid and in the wrong when...like??? What? WTF is Diego's character.

Allison: 6/10 Thank you for not sticking with Allison is the bad guy...though why throwing any character progression...uh what's with her and Claire??? Are they gonna expand on the last 6 years??? Why 6 years??? Hello??? Anyway, her plot is passable so far. Not best, but....not S3 which is a win

Victor: Only solid 7/10 because he's really hitting me-core. Only characterization I'm kinda on board with. Actually, yeah, have Victor living a really moderate life at a bar. I think he should take you another instrument that isn't the violim. Though not a fan of how they're depicting his powers. I liked the more ethereal powers. Though no on Victor having failed relationships. He needs an awkward cute romance like Sissy? WTF was with that whole beginning? Like...anyway.

Five: 2/10 I don't hate it. But it is the worst five plot thus far IMO.

Ben: 5/10. Actually, I do think Sparrow Ben would be arrogant enough to be in Crypto. I don't like Sparrow Ben, but his depiction tracks. Still wish we could...have OG Ben........Second thought, hate Sparrow Ben. Though whatever, love interest, okay.

Lila: ...1?/10 I feel like the one person who didn't like Diego x Lila, and didn't think she'd settle down. I like a QPR with her and Five. However--How they're handling this? Awful. Also, her powers????? No more mimic. Boooooooooooo.

Klaus: 2/10 I wanted them to go angst with Klaus' immortality, but...ughh. Compulsive cleanliness and over anxiety about common fears is a legitimate way paranoia can develop...as a person with those kinda issues, but they do not depict them in any. Like I'm going to be honest, when you do have those fears to that level...you aren't sober or if you are...you're not looking well. But forget all that crap, why couldn't we have whatever story was Klaus bonding with Allison and helping raise Claire. Why was that the plot we had to be told about rather than shown????$

Other thoughts:

-Gene and Jean are like...10/10. Solid villains. Love em. Costume, actors, quirks--great.

-OH. My. God. Can Reginald stoooooop being a character.

-Music and set designs are a 10/10, costumes this season and apparel is a 2/10. What are some of these looks????

-Uh...The plot is kinda...feels like a fanfic that the author continues after 6 years, half-assed and wings, and has no love for the source material. Some parts seem so lazy. The stakes feel weak. There's traces of a great story...buried in there.

Overall, my theory for what happened: Umbrella Academy leaned into its comic book elements in the worst way possible. For that to have worked, a cohesive and fully fleshed out plot would need to be in place first then followed by a style of editing, composition and mise-en-scene, and then characters can play into cartoon styles.

The editing and filming have not changed between seasons. There's no style. Actually, they've gotten worse. The camera angles are painfully standard. If you wanted comic book, that camera needs to be at some different angles, but no, 3/4, eye level, always capturing same length. Whoever directed this? For shame. You don't use the foreground. You don't use the background. Everything happens on the same level and has the same amount of presence on screen. It screams "no time for flare, let's just get this done!"

So many of the BTS/production elements feel...rushed. If that wasn't the case, if this didn't have a painfully short filming timeline and they didn't have severe restraints compared to the last seasons...than...no one had any love for the series anymore.

Summer Style: Pretty in Pink

Harvey's summer outfits have really popped lately with some intriguing pieces in pink! Even better, these items come from companies with mission statements that tie into some element of Harvey's style ethos. So here's a rundown of all the fun & thought-provoking summer style he's been serving.

This flowy, handmade chiffon kimono by Jennafer Grace screams summer relaxation. Though of course there is margin for error whenever we cannot see specific labels or defining features, it appears that these trunks are the Electric Pink LungeMan shorts from Sleeves Sold Separately, a family-owned athletic wear boutique based in Southern California.

The LungeMan is described as a retro gym short that doubles as workout shorts or swimming trunks. The shorts are made of a stretchy nylon-spandex blend with a low-cut elastic waistband, moisture-wicking liner, zippered back pocket, and a 4-inch inseam. They are designed to be comfortable while also being fitted, to allow the wearer to show off their legs. As such, the cut is tailored for men with larger glutes and thighs, and comes in sizes up to XXL (37-38-inch hip). They are currently low in stock, with sizes M and XXL being out of stock entirely. They retail for $75.

The founders of Sleeves Sold Separately, Naomi and BJ, say they aim to provide athleisure apparel that celebrates the masculine body, a goal stemming from BJ's own struggles with weight, body image, and fashion. As a both a kid in a larger body and an adult in a thinner body, BJ says he struggled to find any fashion options that made him feel confident and like his body was being celebrated. (A personal note: While I don't agree with the way BJ implicitly equates fitness with a smaller body on their about page, I definitely sympathize with the struggle to find clothes that make me feel confident, and celebrate any company working to alleviate that struggle for others.)

Technically, the trunks already fall into the "under $100" affordability threshold. But here are a few other options as well!

Hot Pink Beach Shorts - $9.96 from Walmart, available in sizes up to XXL (45-inch waist).

Neon Pink Swim Trunks - $55 from Coastal Cool, available in sizes up to 3XL (45 5/8-inch waist, 52 3/4-inch hip).

It was surprisingly difficult to find any full-length chiffon kimonos that matched the vibe and quality of the one Harvey wears above. In the end I only found one, and it didn't meet the affordability threshold.

I wanted to ask you about your writing process. I've been trying to get myself to write a longer piece of work for QUITE some time now, but I always chicken out. As a reader, I love your style. The ability to communicate effectively without sounding dry and lackluster, your character building, your storylines... they are what I hope to achieve in my own work. So some of my main questions are:

How do you work up the perseverance to stick with a project?

How do you stay consistent with a character or a storyline without getting carried away? Do you do something specific to get you in the head space of the story you're working on?

What are key things that you think helped you as a writer create more complex and intricate works?

How do you come up with a satisfying pace or arc for your stories?

And lastly, how much time do you spend on the storyline creation vs actual writing? Or do you tend to go with the flow more so than following an outline?

Again, no need to answer these if you don't feel like it.

Hello sweets!! Ah stoppp you're such a nice person, I'm happy to answer your questions Trouvaille related or not 💜 Also thank you for liking my writing and seeking out advice, that is such a wonderful compliment 🥺

Writing a story that has multiple chapters, long word counts, and/or both can be very daunting, but also rewarding! The key here is to dive into what you're most excited about. If an idea pops into your head (for example: perhaps a BTS Ot7 fic where they're princes, and MC is a princess) maybe you'll start with moodboards on Pinterest to get your "vibe" down visually. Maybe you're into music; you can make a playlist that captures the general themes of your idea to get you amped up to write. Gather books/movies/TV shows that share similar themes, and if needed, write down any research you'd have to make (for the Prince!AU, perhaps research royalty, societal classes in your target time period, apparel, etc.) This first step, gathering initial inspiration, is crucial in my opinion to "commit" to your idea and bring it closer to reality!

How do you work up the perseverance to stick with a project? This can be a personal thing, in my opinion. What I've written above is another way to keep persevering when tackling a longer written work; keep returning to your sources of inspiration and add to them if you come across new ones. I find if I'm lacking motivation to write, returning to my Pinterest boards to freshen them up, watching a movie that inspired a character, or updating a playlist gets me excited to write again or even give me new plot ideas! Other than that you can try two things that I've done A) Give yourself a deadline (not recommended if you struggle with those, but it does force you to work on time management and create a writing schedule) or B) Make a document where you briefly "dump" plot points or arcs that you have planned off the top of your head, then write a general drabble about the points you're most excited to tackle. You don't have to write everything in chronological order if you are struggling to get started!

How do you stay consistent with a character or a storyline without getting carried away? Do you do something specific to get you in the head space of the story you're working on? So what I've done to keep track of my character's general backstories and traits is make a separate document dedicated to that alone. I recommend making a profile for EVERY character, even the minor ones, just so you can refer to this profile whenever you forget details about them (this is particularly helpful for minor characters Ex. Ben, Laura, Alice in Trouvaille). Here you can list their physical appearance, personalities, media that inspired their character, backstories and families, etc. This rough document is crucial to me, and truthfully it is what I tackled before I even started Chapter One of Trouvaille. As for getting into the right headspace, I'd say it's all about writing about things you truly enjoy. I love spooky/paranormal things, so I knew that was going to be a theme in Trouvaille. I'm not a fan of sports, so I'd never write a sports!AU. Write what you like, and that's half the battle!

What are key things that you think helped you as a writer create more complex and intricate works? Inspiration, inspiration, inspiration! I'll say it until I'm blue. You gottttta go live life, enjoy good books and movies, and listen to an array of music genres. You'll never know what you'll end up liking! The best way to feed your imagination (which of course fuels your writing) is to sample many things life has to offer. Trouvaille is like a big quilt of many things I love (Ex. TV show Twin Peaks, movie Constantine, Alice is based off of a friend of mine, my brother lives in Wyoming like Namjoon once did, Jeongguk has experience with paranormal investigation like me!) Think of yourself as a weaver, connecting all of these things together. It can be hard to see how they fit, but it's a FUN challenge! Another important thing to remember is that your characters carry most of the weight of the story, so make them as realistic as you can! People aren't perfect, so give them flaws (Trouvaille MC is non-confrontational, for example), give them challenges and obstacles, and when you write dialogue, read it out loud to yourself to make sure that it flows naturally. Try not to use vocabulary you wouldn't use on a day-to-day basis. You do not need to compare a character's eyes to thirty different gemstones LOL!

How do you come up with a satisfying pace or arc for your stories? Unless you want a slow-burn, pace is entirely up to you! I love both slow-burn fics and ones that are more fast paced. Depending on your plot, some things happen more slowly than others. Falling in love usually doesn't happen over night. Resolving a huge fight can take time. If it's Ot7, stretching out how the MC gets with each of them can not only seem more organic but also can lengthen your work and give you time to develop other aspects to your plot aside from the romance (give it some meat!) Going back to what I said earlier, you can plan out basic bullet points to an arc that you're working on, then tackle each bullet point in your first draft to see what the pacing is like and if you're satisfied with it/it seems natural to you!

And lastly, how much time do you spend on the storyline creation vs actual writing? Or do you tend to go with the flow more so than following an outline? So! Honesty time! I usually dive straight into writing 💀 Since I've been writing Trouvaille for a little over two years, I usually come up with new arcs or wrap up existing ones by sitting down and going for it. I'm familiar with the characters by now and the BIG parts that need to happen, so the minor details and subplots come out while working up to the "main events". Very little time is spent on my separate docs for basic arcs these days, however, they were crucial in the early ones. I'm writing a new fic Sanctity, however, where I'm in the middle of creating storyline docs just to get my footing! So I'd say the further along you get creating a work, you feel more comfortable just going with the flow. Getting started is the hard part, so outlines are your friends until you are familiar with your characters and all of the plots you are working with ❤️

INCLUDING: a scene with the CHIMAERA, connected to "The Eye of Sion" in front of "Dathomir" as well as THRAWN, standing in front of the windows at "The Eye of Sion" by starting the jump into hyperspace out of the "AHSOKA"-series! 👏😃 So Thrawn and his flagship Chimaera made it to be seen at this huge event in a huge size, part of Star Wars and its phenomenal history! Notes: Some of this is based upon my personal headcanons and this isn't specifically set in any Obey Me and Nightbringer chapters.

His face was tear-stricken.

He never felt like he truly belonged.

He felt as if they were all mocking him;every last one of them.

He didn’t want them to take pity upon his poisoned blood and shelter him for a ruse.

He never asked to be created, he never wanted to exist.

Born from rage, whilst every body was born from noble intent with no malice being sensed.

He felt alien and inferior from his creator…his so called brother.

He felt alien for not sharing the same blood.

Rage was all he knew…rage was all he had.

Satan felt that emotion was unnecessary and confusing. He believed that the apparel was something that purely came with territory and opted to ignore it. Confusion and stress always swirled around in his disarranged mind whenever the foreign concept seemed to vaguely wash over him. Despite reading about them in novels for hours on end, his experience and knowledge upon the topic was not as vast as one would assume.

Books were his main/true source of comfort (other than his feline companions) in his life. When the environment got too chaotic, when he was far too overwhelmed…when he needed to find consolation in the vast amount of pages after hurting his familial by mistake - books were always there for him. However one day a peculiar human dropped down from the world above and changed his views upon the concept of emotion entirely, in addition to allow him to fully experience the blooming desire of romance.

As time passed by with the human, the more and more Satan felt more accustomed to love. He rather enjoyed the whole conceptualisation and began to act upon these tendency of love and desire more when in the comfort of his beloved in a private setting.

Satan’s trust towards his partner slowly grew over time and his emotional barricade was beginning to lower bit by bit. However he never showed his true state when in an episode of depression. Wrath was a different story as he was the avatar of it, meaning whenever he had outbursts of rage he wouldn’t bother covering it up…but the after math was an entirely different story all together.

He’d lock himself in his room just before the tears began to spill. His regret would swallow him hole, his pessimistic thoughts would hold him prisoner until he was prepared to put his mask on and proceed to his day as per usual. Whenever he was restrained, locked up his thoughts of paranoia and inferiority would scream at him! Thoughts about his so called brothers laughing behind his back, regretting taking him in, taking an insulting amount of mere pity upon him…they’d all mix together with his emotions and add to his intense fire of negative thoughts and emotions. As it collects and builds, it eventually adds to his wrath more and more (like adding more wood to a fire) meaning he will yell, he will scream, he will damage everything in his path.

Sometimes he’d accidentally destroy things dear to him, like his favourite book or a small cat plush gifted by his partner. Once he has cooled down, he will notice and break down because the things he holds the most close to him always get destroyed by him. He’d simply pick up the broken pieces and hold them closely to his chest (sometimes even hug it) and cry. He’s terrified of hurting his beloved in the near future if he can not control his violent urges.

One day it was all too much for him.

Everybody and everything was becoming too overwhelming for him.

He couldn’t scream for you and the others to get away from him.

He wasn’t close enough to a bathroom or his room…

The tears kept building and building the more he saw your worried glance whilst you queried if he was alright.

His thought kept screaming, ‘They don’t care about you!’ ‘They think your weak!’ ‘Everybody’s laughing!’ ‘What a pathetic mess you are’.

Until he eventually snapped.

“Shut up!” He yelled whilst pulling at his hair, “Shut up, Shut up, Shut up, FUCKING SHUT UP!!!”

He fell to his knees and the tears that were once trapped, flooded his eyes and streamed down his beautiful face.

His brothers took a step forward prepared to ask him what was wrong and attempt to console him but (y/n) signalled for them to leave the room.

His sobs and pleads were painful to listen to.

There was so much pain…so much emotion.

He grasped at his chest as he continued to cry out all whilst slamming his fist against the carpet.

This time his wrath was far too much and it developed into something he wished his partner never saw.

Satan’s significant other knelt beside him and cupped his cheeks gazing deeply into his glassy lime hues. They then proceeded to embrace him and stroke his hair whispering, “You’re alright Satan. I’m here for you.”

“Y-you’re a liar! Stop lying to me!” He choked out.

(Y/n) tilted his head up in order to make him look in their direction and they softly spoke, “I’m not going to leave you Satan. Whatever is plaguing your mind you can share with me. I want to help you.”

He rested his head on (y/n)’s chest as they slowly rocked too and fro. “I’ll be here for you Satan always.”

Kissing his head they spoke, “I love you.”

The tears didn’t stop for a long time but they eventually dissipated as did Satan’s energy. He would surely be out of commission for a few hours, but that would be alright so long as he felt slightly better once he awoke

Outright Games has announced a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Game set in the world of the recently released animated feature film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem. It will launch for unspecified consoles and PC in 2024.

PMDD awareness month is almost over, but there‘s still 11 days left for pre-ordering my PMDD t-shirt on Everpress!

I will donate half of the profit to IAPMD global.

I myself suffer from the premenstrual dysphoric disorder. As of now I had to teach every doctor about this condition because it is still pretty unknown. This has to change because so many people don't know they have this condition. Some get wrong diagnoses like borderline personality disorder or bipolar disorder. But PMDD is a neurobiological sensitivity to natural and normal changes in progesterone and estrogen levels.

The symptoms can include anxiety, depression, irritability, extreme anger, hopelessness and suicidal tendencies.

In a recent study with 599 individuals that have been diagnosed with PMDD, »34% have attempted suicide during a PMDD episode. On average, patients waited 12 years and saw around six providers before receiving an accurate diagnosis of PMDD.

The data also showed high rates of lifetime active suicidal ideation (72%), planning (49%), intent (42%) and preparing (40%) for an attempt, and non-suicidal self-injury (51%) among patients with PMDD diagnoses.« (source: https://neurosciencenews.com/pmdd-suicide-20820/)

In my case, I only have two out of four weeks in which I can function. The other two weeks are always a struggle. And sometimes in the good half of the month I have to recover from the hell weeks, because these experiences alone can be traumatizing.

PMDD impacts every aspect of my life. Relationships, work, taking care of basic needs, interests and hobbies, anything. Everything seems meaningless, everything is called into question. Every month.

Part of why this disorder has not gotten a lot of attention is sexism. The patriarchy leads to medical issues that mostly impact women being ignored. This means that there is a lack of clinical studies and there is no cure for PMDD. There are a lot of ways to try and treat the symptoms, but every affected person has to do their own research. We all have to go through a lot of trial and error which is extremely frustrating.

This needs to change. I hope that with this project, I can contribute to spreading awareness.

A Hero’s Job

‘What the fuuuuccckkkk!!!!’ Screams erupt, the culprit being Writer, as they scamper around the corner of a hallway, wild look in their eyes like a cat fallen into water.

They run past a few Egos, all confused but amused at the same time. Wilford catches them by the arms, ‘Hey, hey, who do I need to stab?’ They struggle a little, ‘kill it, kill it please’. That’s all Wilford needs to charge in the direction Writer came from, drawing his pistol. As he runs, he passes a small, scruffy bear attached to a moving Roomba. Writer shrieks hysterically, and bolts away, dragging Eric with them by the arm. The source of their fear, the Roomba bear, with it’s devilish eyes, sharp grin, muddy stained apparel and bone white (yellow?) claws.

Wilford, at the sound of their scream, pivots, and shoots the bear. He hits his target, and sparks fly as the bullet collided with the metal inside of the bear. It’s actually a small animatronic, like those children’s toys. Wilford laughs, ‘Not so mighty now, are you?!’

Yancy walks up to it, and squints down at it. ‘Is this the thing theyse was scared of?’ He jolts back as it moves toward him suddenly, faster than before. He acquiesces to himself that he can see why Writer was scared of it, and mind set, kicks it straight in the head, the toe of his shoe impacting directly on the bear’s cheap plastic nose.

‘Good job, Yancy-!’

Yancy’s kick has bent the metal of the bear’s endo framing, and it’s head now stoops to the side, cheek touching it’s shoulder, only serving to make it more terrifying, with it’s nose hanging on by a few threads and several of it’s triangular teeth kicked out and bent out of place.

Writer had crept back, and been congratulating Yancy when they both realized the bear’s new form. They scream again, dragging Eric with them out of the area, nearly running into one of the Jim twins.

The bear increases in speed, with all Egos parting to avoid getting their feet run over, and the few stragglers running away. Wilford takes one look at the reenergized Bear and books it, ‘Not today, Batman!’

The bear chases in the direction Writer had gone, and upon seeing it coming towards them, the Jims call it quits and nearly fall over each other trying to escape.

Meanwhile, Writer had been encountered by Google IRL, as they had run into the room dragging a winded Eric behind them. They showed no interest in stopping, and backpedaled when the large android had stepped in front of them.

‘Mx. Writer, I suggest you release Eric Derekson. He is showing signs of over exertion. In addition, may I query what you are running from so frantically? You exhibit signs of elevated fear.’

Writer releases their grip on Eric after a moment, both of the humans breathing deeply in to try and replenish their oxygen supply, lapsing into a short coughing fit after breathing in too much.

Writer explains, ‘There’s this little demon on the loose and it’s after us! Wilford shot it and Yancy kicked it’s face in but it only got stronger!’ As they speak, the bot’s expression deadpans further and further.

‘A demon.’

‘Yes.’

‘Demons do not exist, Mx. Writer.’

‘Well this one does!’

Behind them, the Roomba mounted bear catches up, and upon hearing it, Writer pales visibly, making to run before they’re stopped by Google.

The AI is utterly disappointed. This is a new low for humanity.

‘If this cleaning device is of such issue to you, allow me to dispose of it.’

‘NO! It’s too dangerous!’ Writer yelps, and Google glares over at them, seeing that the human refuses to budge on the frankly ridiculous matter.

‘Then allow me to disable it, at least.’ The android grits out between his clenched artificial teeth, gesturing with his forearm and head to the projected field over said forearm, filled with permissions boxes and lines of coding.

The human relents anxiously, and they and Eric watch as the bot in front of them types in commands at rapid speed, tapping and swiping away boxes and alerts after reading them at inhuman speed.

The sound of the Roomba deactivating fills the room and an anxious moments passes before Writer hesitantly bursts into celebration. Google rolls his eyes, but under the ruckus, only he is able to hear the tone emitting from the Roomba, signifying it’s activation. His eyes widen fractionally, before, ‘Not to cause you alarm, Mx. Writer, but it appears the Roomba cleaning device is activated once again.’

Writer pauses, eyes drifting to the side, meeting the plastic eyes of the bear, seeing the glow, before shrieking in terror. They try to run away, but are failing, because they’re not strong or heavy enough to pull the Android that they are currently trying to drag out of the room. They release Google, and flee, leaving the bot and Eric behind.

They run through a few rooms before running into (quite literally) Bing (ouch). ‘Hey, dude! What’s wrong?’ They explain the situation, and Bing’s eyes widen momentarily before the bear rides into the room and he realizes that it’s the ‘demon’ his friend is so scared of. ‘Oh, don’t worry bro! I’ve got this,’ cool and assured. He pats the sides of their shoulders with his hands, grabs their hand, and runs off.

‘Where are we going?!’

‘To find K

They find him, a few minutes later, out in the yard, surrounded by his squirrel subjects, who scamper away as they run to him before stopping. King peers at them, peanut butter strewn across his cape and shirt and smothered over his chin in a mock beard.

‘What’s the meaning of this?! You have frightened my subjects!’

‘King, bro, we need some of your peanut butter. Writer’s got a monster chasing them that can only be defeated by peanut butter.’

Writer looks at Bing incredulously, before looking back at King as he begins to mutter to himself, hand smoothing across his chin in the way that the more eccentric of Mark’s Egos do.

‘A monster? Why, that sounds horrible! They may very well have endangered my subjects by coming here! What if it follows them here?!’ He pauses for a moment, before peering up at them suddenly, and smiling after a moment, in a moment that reminds Writer of Wilford in his more sane moments.

‘But if it’s for a friend, then I can’t say no. To the Royal stash!’ He stands up suddenly, and runs off into the woods, Bing and Writer sharing a glance, proud on Bing’s part and bewildered on Writer’s, before following suit.

They follow the vibrant, billowing red of King’s cloak, before finding him peering between two entwined trees, into a hole large enough to fit Writer’s fists side by side. He glanced back at them with a grin, before turning back and reaching a hand inside, grabbing something, indicated by his eyes crinkling at the edges from his excited smile, and pulling it back out.

The three behold his treasure for a few moments, before King hands it to Writer with a kind, sagely smile. Closing their hands around it and patting their hands. Before straightening up, turning away, and running off, yelling, ‘I’M KING OF THE SQUIRRELS!’

Writer, hands covered in peanut butter, looks at Bing. Bing is gazing off after King, an easygoing smile on his face, before he turns back to them, grabs their arm, and says, ‘Now c’mon, we gotta discuss the next section of our plan!’ They run off, Writer stumbling behind their android friend.

Thirty minutes later finds the two in the kitchen, Writer looking over a spoon held in their hand, listening to Bing before turning their head to him.

‘Yeah, so what next?’

‘That’s the tricky part! We bait it. We gotta catch it off guard and get close enough to get the bait on it!’

‘WHAT?!’ Writer looks at him like he’s insane, ‘and you said ‘bait’ twice.’

‘I know! That’s the genius! We’re gonna use you as the bait! And the peanut butter is the bait for something else! Or, someone else.’

‘Wait, wHY AM I THE BAIT?!?’

‘Because you’re the one it’s after! If you can lure it into a good position, then we can tag it. Downside is, you’re also gonna have to be the one to do the tagging, cus I’m not built for agility and speed, despite my awesomeness.’

‘How is that supposed to work?’

Bing beckons them to his side, and they walk over, peering down at the counter where he’s (poorly) sketched out some schematics. ‘So, if you can lure it to this three way section in the hallway on the right, enter the room connected to it, then come out of the other door back into the hallway behind it, you should be able to dash in and smear it with the PB without the J.’

Writer looks up at him with a grin, ‘Pffttt, ‘PB without the J’? You’re such a dork,’ looking back down, and making the route they’ll have to take in their mental map of the house. ‘Yeah, that might work…’ they say reluctantly, impressed by Bing’s strategy.

‘But what’s the end goal with this,’ they ask, peering over at him quizzically. He turns his head to look down at them, his hair falling over his face and glasses starting to slip down his nose as a boyish grin overtakes his face, ‘That’s the surprise!’ He winks at them playfully, before turning to them and gesturing for the spoon and peanut butter jar, which had been cleaned off and had been sitting on the counter next to where Writer is standing.

They give him a clueless look for a moment, looking around and down at their hands before realizing what he was asking for and handing the items over bashfully. The AI chuckles, turning back to the counter with one last glance at his companion before opening the jar, spoon clenched in the hand holding the jar, and turning the lid with the other.

Writer harrumphs playfully under their breath, looking up at Bing, ‘I could’ve done that, y’know!’ Bing grins, leaning down slightly, ‘But this way’s faster!’ Writer ‘uh’s, mock offended, ‘Are you saying I’m not strong enough?!’

Bing laughs, shoulders shaking, before he sets the lid down on the counter, hand raising to his shades, taking them off. He turns halfway to Writer, and puts the shades on them, looking down at them with a smirk, ‘That’s exactly what I’m saying,’ before booping their nose lightly with the tip of his finger.

Writer flushes, flabbergasted, as their taller friend turns back to the jar and releases it, keeping the spoon, and then plunges it into the jar, scooping up as much peanut butter as he possibly can. ‘Hey! I can do that!’ Writer protests, regaining their footing in the situation. Bing looks at them mischievously, ‘yeah, but it needs to pass my standard.’

They shove him lightheartedly, ‘since when were you an expert on peanut butter scooping’, in a joking manner. The android replies similarly, ‘since I got my latest algorithm update.’

Bing pulls out the spoon, eyeing the load of peanut butter on it, before nodding affirmatively, turning to Writer and handing it to them carefully. ‘There you go, all set.’

‘Now what?’

‘Now, we figure out where it is. I’ll page Google.’

Bing brings his hand up to the temple of his head, pressing two fingers to it. Writer giggles at the sight, and he smiles.

Elsewhere in the house, Google had been going over what he had missed with the Roomba, having long since parted ways with Eric Derekson, after calming the man and ascertaining that he would be fine, telling him to go rest. Google, in his distraction by Writer, had missed a command and it had resulted in the Roomba reactivating.

Suddenly, Google receives a message, opening it he finds it to be from Bing. He rolls his eyes, but looks through it. From the janky data lines he parses out that Bing is requesting that he access the security system and ascertain the whereabouts of the Roomba from earlier. He reasons that his lesser quality counterpart probably encountered Mx. Writer.

Google accesses the system, finding the bear in the living room. He sends his findings back to Bing, and goes back to coding.

Back in the kitchen, Bing reads through the message, before turning to Writer with a large grin, ‘Looks like he’s in the living room! Luckily, that’s not far from our hallway.’

‘Yeah… yay…’ Writer tries to share in their friend’s enthusiasm, but can’t help dreading their coming part to play.

Bing picks up on their reluctance, walking over to his friend before hunching over and ducking his head slightly to be on eye level with them.

‘Hey, you’ve got this! That thing won’t know what hit it!’ He socks them in the shoulder very carefully, keeping his strength in mind. They look up at him, doubt clear to see, and he hunkers down to seem smaller, placing his hands on their elbows, ‘I’m serious, dude, you can do this, that bear won’t see you coming from a mile away!’

He puts on a funny voice to drive the point home, and they giggle despite themself. ‘There we go,’ he grins, standing back up. ‘Now let’s get ‘im!’ He cheers.

Twelve minutes later finds Writer waiting around the corner of the hallway for Bing’s signal, peanut butter spoon clenched firmly in hand. In their ear, they hear, ‘Now!’

They dash out, catching the bear’s eye, and run to the hallway junction, the bear in hot pursuit. They turn the corner and slip into the room on their right, hearing the bear turn the corner only to stop, unable to see them.

They quietly open the door in front of them, step back out into the hallway, and turn the corner, before sprinting to the bear and smearing the peanut butter on it. They sprint away, back to the kitchen, where Bing is waiting for them.

They reach the kitchen, and nearly run into Bing, who catches them and helps them to sit down on a stool. He grabs their shoulders and proceeds to help them steady their breathing, before getting them a water bottle. ‘Now what?’ Writer asks, guzzling the water despite Bing’s protests.

‘Now,’ Bing says, with a grin, ‘we go to the backyard.’ The two walk to the backyard, where Bing calls the Jim twins. ‘Hey, Jim, could you two lure that bear thing to the backyard? I’ll get Dark to let you go to that one place… you know what I’m talking about, right? Okay, good, thanks.’ He turns back to Writer, ‘And now we wait.’

‘Why are they bringing it here?!’ Writer asks him, in confusion. He grins, winking at them, with a finger to his lips in a ‘shy’ gesture, ‘Just wait!’

Two minutes later, the Jim twins come tearing into the backyard hollering at the tops of their lungs, with the bear in pursuit. Bing puts his fingers to his lips and whistles long and clear.

The group starts to hear bushes cracking, and the footfalls of something heavy. A tan blur shoots into the clearing, comes to a stop, and looks around. Bing whistles again, pointing to the bear, ‘Go get ‘em, HeeHoo!’ And the blur, now identified as a naked man, takes off again, heading straight for the Roomba-mounted bear. The bear seems to realize it’s mistake, and tries to back up and retreat, but it’s too late.

HeeHoo seizes it in his mighty jaws, and shakes his head violently. Sparks fly, and the bear’s head finally gives up, tearing off of it’s base with a loud ‘crunch’.

Writer congratulates HeeHoo excitedly, nearly crying with relief. The other Egos enter the backyard en masse, drawn to the horrendous noises coming from the area. Wilford celebrates, dancing around in a hap-hazardous manner. Dark finally exits the house, looking over the group, before shaking his head and turning to go back inside. Wilford seizes him, and drags him to the others.

Amidst the chaos, Yancy walks up to the defeated bear, kicking it over to end it’s reign of terror. Unfortunately for him, the job was already done. He’s thanked by Writer regardless.
