(SAMS Spoilers)
The Bloodmoon’s are definitely the favourite child. Love the family bonding 😭. Also they called KC father too! Eclipse once again is attempting to break a duo up.
I’m also so invested in Trashcan, Trashcan best character fr 💪💪
I wonder why he called Kc and Moon Penelope though. Pretty sure she was mentioned by him earlier

Trash Can Man: Penelope...Crescent, it's okay to grieve, tall lumbering giant man.
Kill Code, still crying: Where the fuck did you even learn my name?

CH. 4
A/N: I thought long and hard about this, but I wanted some good sibling interactions, well, as well as you can get with two respectable blood hobos, a small child, and a trashcan man to maim. You're welcome. Also cuz I think its funny, trash guys name keeps changing.
2 1/2
Magic had many uses, ones so great that the author of this story can't even tell you all of them, apparently making some one changes ages and sizes was one of them. To be completely honest, it wasn't Eclipse who noticed it, it Was Harvest. Harvest was the more vigilant of the twins, there were times where the sleepier twin knew when they had taken it to far and did his best to atone for both of them. A shred of humanity residing deep within the bot. Nights where Eclipse lay in pain tucked against the bot, a broken melody playing from the larger of the two. Harvest was the closest thing the child had for comfort.
Eclipse tugged at the gown, it no longer reached his knees, the exposed skin made him feel uncomfortable, a second gown had been cut and wrapped around his waist in a sad attempt to mimic a diaper. Toilets weren't a thing when all that inhabited a base were robots. Well minus two, but that would change soon... hopefully. Harvest sat behind his twin, watching over the two, nothing too damaging could happen to Eclipse, Harvest was going to make sure of that, if he stayed awake long enough. Eclipse glanced at Blood, what he was doing to that trashcan? man? was none of his concern, though the jumbled up nonsense and breaking of bones certainly didn't help the child calm down.
"Sibling must you hurt the trash headed man now?" BM paused, a long intestine dangling from their mouth, then resumed, not bothering to answer. Eclipse gagged, berrying his head between his legs, new bowl of food left untouched. Unsurprisingly when one watches someone get ripped apart in so many different ways they tend to loose their appetite. "Penelope! Why?" the odd squelching sound of blood and guts being magically drawn back in was nauseating, "was the beheaded rat not enough for you my love?"
Eclipse wrinkled his nose, gross, rats were yucky. "BROTHER WHAT IS HE TALKING ABOUT?!"  BM whined pausing to look at their twin, "Penelope, I can give you ALL the rats you want!" Eclipse giggled, BM wouldn't want rats! Waste basket  was silly! Eclipse lifted his head to look at BM's face, a look of disgust coating the nano machines face.
There was a pregnant pause, the odd sounding relationship between The tin head man and Penelope, furthering the overall discomfort in the room. The man resumed screaming and Eclipse buried his head between his legs once more.
       3.
Eclipse was sleepy, that's all he ever felt. Several bowls lay empty at his feet, those bowls were meant to last the week while KC and the twins were gone. He hadn't meant to eat all of them! He was just hungry! He felt around for a bowl, it was too dark to see, he didn't like the dark. His hand brushed one and he immediately got to work on scraping the sides clean, it tasted funny, not as good as it had a few days ago, and it left a bad taste in his mouth.
His whole body went ridged as the door opened, KC? No to short for KC or the twins, his eyes hurt as they adjusted to the light assaulting his eyes. "Penelope?" the man staggered into the room, the bowl slipped from the child's hands, landing with a clatter. The ashcan turned towards the noise "PENELOPE!" he lunged at Eclipse, picking him up with an iron grip, "why, you are much smaller than the last time i saw you!"
"NO! NO! NO! NO!" Eclipse screamed, kicking the trashcan with a mighty clang of bare feet meeting metal. The tin-headed man let go, he stumbled for a moment. Eclipse scrambled off the floor, his foot hurt. The door! he could get to the door and get out! the idea left him giddy as he lunged out of the crazy mans reach. He scrambled past the door and was startled by a loud blaring sound, he didn't like that it was too loud, he couldn't hear Trashcan head, and his eyes still hurt.
Get out. Get out. He had to get out! Eclipse ran down the hall as fast as his little legs would take him. The blaring only got louder the further he got from the room. His foot caught on an upturned plate of metal and he came crashing to the ground, his body trembled, he hadn't moved for the last few days, only to eat the scraps left behind in the bowls.
The floor beneath him trembled as if something heavy was landing on it, Dumpster man? Eclipse whimpered at the thought of the creepy man standing over him. The alarm was almost overbearing. He moved, just to cover his ears, he wasn't able to do much more than that. A loud screech pierced over the alarm, "NO! NO! NOOO-"
Eclipse curled into a ball as if that would protect him from whatever was killing Bin man. Seconds, what felt like hours, passed by as he listened to the screams fade under the alarm. Eclipse yelped as he was lifted of the ground, No! he didn't want to be with pail man! Eclipse weakly clawed at the metal chest... wait, Eclipse opened his eye, Meeting a thoroughly soaked Harvest moon, in what looks to be blood. Harvest said nothing, or maybe he did, who knows Eclipse couldn't hear anything over the alarm anymore.
A firm, sticky hand covered Eclipse's ear, muffling the sound. The child shuddered in relief, nuzzling into the bots chest Eclipse sighed. This was nice. All too soon Eclipse was set onto the cold floor of the lab, the alarm had stopped, when had it stopped. Harvest walked to one of the cabinets scrounging around for something. Eclipse waddled to the bowls, looking at them now he wished he hadn't eaten them, the little remaining food was fuzzy and smelled bad, or maybe that was the blood, who's to say.
Harvest appeared next to the child, "you know, you grow faster than any child I have seen" Harvest turned Eclipse around and began unbuttoning the back of the flimsy gown, "much too tall than you were a week ago" the cold air hit Eclipse's skin and he shuddered. Harvest laughed at himself, "I have killed most children I have seen, so maybe not the best example" Harvest carefully put the too big gown on Eclipse, the neck bit fell over his shoulder.
"BIG!" Eclipse swished the garment, it almost reached his ankles!
Harvest nodded, "has to be, yo-" *Yawn* "you want it to last more than a week" Harvest stood up, bunching the old garment in his hands. Eclipse sat down, exhausted, he grabbed a nearby bowl and looked at the rotted contents. It might not hurt? Before he could even make a decision, the bowl was snatched from his hands,
"Ah~ Ah~ Ah~" Eclipse stiffened, eye looking up at KC, when had he come in? KC crouched down to his charges height, "that's... icky, you don't want to get sick do you?" Eclipse shook his head. KC smiled and patted Eclipse, "good boy" he turned to Harvest, "go join your Sibling downstairs, clean up that mess you left outside of the room" Harvest nodded and left with little complaint. KC grabbed Eclipses face, tilting it side to side, his hand rested on Eclipses forehead, his smile fell.
"Stupid child" he lifted Eclipse off the ground, this time under the armpits, and set him against his chest. Eclipse's eyes drooped as Kill code walked out of the room and over to the teleportation pad.

Budleigh Salterton Literary Festival
BUDLEIGH SALTERTON LITERARY FESTIVAL
Sept 21 24 Blog by Lynne Pearl
Tumblr media
The sun was brilliant and the gardens beside the Temple Mount Methodist church in Budleigh were resplendent, the sun was so strong.  We might have been in Greece, the sea was nearby.  But we were in a small seaside town in the far South West.  It is beautiful and far away from anything.  And it has a very good literary festival.  On the programme were many quite renown writers such as:
Rick Stein, Frank Gardner, Patrick Grant, Carol Klein, Rev Richard Coles, Iain Dale Jonathan Dimbleby Susan Fletcher Liz Earle Lesley Pearse Cathy Rentzenbrink Craig Brown Wendy Joseph KC Sir Anthony Seldon.
Chair of the festival Cathy Rentzenbrink welcomes us to the festival in the festival programme like this:
‘What a complete delight it is to be writing these words, thinking about how wonderful it will be to be back in beautiful Budleigh Salterton, and what an honour it is to be introducing you to this year’s offerings. The programme is full of familiar favourites, new discoveries and mind-expanding treats. There’s plenty of war, politics, fashion and food, workshops for the curious, and lots of entertainment in the Marquee. I’ll be exploring brotherly love with the amazing Manni and Reuben Coe, and am honoured to be chairing the Hilary Mantel Emerging Writers’ panel. My President’s Event this year is with the erudite and amusing Sam Leith who has written a fabulous book about the history of children’s literature, and I’ll be talking about my own novel Ordinary Time which is about a reluctant vicar’s wife - there is a hint of Budleigh and her churches in my fictional St Breda. Literary festivals and those who organise and attend them are very much on the side of the angels, I think, and I am heartily looking forward to seeing you all in September.’
Tumblr media
And these were the authors we came to see and listen to them talk about their writing experiences:
TOM LAMONT, PENELOPE SLOCOMBE, CARLA JENKINS
Emerging Writer’s Event where: Temple Church time: 2pm | ticket: £5 Talking to Cathy Rentzenbrink
This year’s trio of debut writers are certainly ones to watch for the future. Their books, which share the theme of relationships, include the story of a mother’s desperate search for her son, the magical relationship that grows between a young boy and his unexpected foster father, and the disturbing tale of a therapist and his patient. Tom Lamont’s Going Home is already one of the Observer’s Debut Novels of 2024.
We were attending a session with two of the three emerging writers being interviewed about the books they had just written and these were their first books.  They were debut writers, their stories were fascinating. One was a journalist by profession, the other an English teacher.  They had just written successful novels one set partly in India and the other book was about the parenting of a very young child and the trials of difficult friendships.
Each writer read from their novel which is always a treat to be read to by the person who has written the words so one sees the personality behind the story.
When I tell a story, I am enchanted with my words, the world and the situation I am creating out of nothing.  It’s rather like being a magician creating worlds that tell us stories and hopefully teach us.
For example, when the hero of my third book, Thiel, is on his travels in a created landscape and country, he has to find accommodation for the night for himself, a young child and his horse so he steps into the pub on the harbour at the sea port of Ive:
The warmth inside made Thiel’s head reel and the brightness of the light blinded him.  He stood quite still on the door mat as the door banged behind him.  No one in the bar seemed to notice the addition of one more body in the room.  They were sitting in groups, some in high-backed benches, some clustered around the huge fireplace, some talking, some listening, and a few playing some kind of game with wooden counters.  When his head stopped reeling, Thiel stepped forward from the shelter of the door to the bar.  He had seen the innkeeper, or so he took him to be by his wide, warm face, standing behind the bar serving customers drinks and food.  Thiel crossed the floor, and a few turned to look and stopped their talk to study the stranger.  Some spoke to their neighbour, they were trying to place him.  Where did he come from?  His appearance and clothes were not easy to identify.  It was a favourite game for the folk of Ive to guess where a stranger’s home port was from outward signs that gave him away.
And in ways like this the author has to make a world out of nothing as it were, which is what the two authors did who were being interviewed that day.
They both happily answered questions including about their book deals, one author had a book deal with US and the other author had a book deal with Germany.  They talked about the luck of it.  One said he nearly didn’t send it.  This was a story about parenting a young child and a problem friend who lets you down.  He had sent it out before, but it was not accepted, so he began to give up, but he edited with help.  He added who you meet is luck, that you can anticipate nothing and have to be grateful for what happens.  But as a result of their book deals both authors are able to continue to write.
It was a lovely day by the seaside and we were in the company of some excellent writers, to listen to how others make a story out of nothing, or just what they know, that is always fascinating.

During this week was our draft presentation pitch. My project partner also had time to create a model of the area we wanted to instal in, which we used in our presentation.
Tumblr media
As pictured here, she created a hilly sculpture reminiscent of the area in the park we were wanting to create our work. She did this by bending pool noodles over a base, gluing and tying them together. Then she covered it with fabric before then covering it with fake grass. I'm seriously impressed by what she managed to do, and the result is amazing. When we used it in our presentation it helped visualise what we were thinking for our project. I own it to her for creating this.
Tumblr media
Great Petition (2008) is a stand-alone sculpture featuring manipulated steel on a pedestal. Created by Susan Hewitt and Penelope Lee, it's meant to pay commemorate the 100th anniversary of female suffrage in Victoria. It is 20 metres long and it's smooth, curved shape resembles a roll of scroll.
I love this sculpture a lot, I think it's really interesting to look at. Being able to curve a material as heavy as steel to make it look fluid and smooth is an incredible manipulation of materials. I saw this similar sort of manipulation when creating my wooden bird base . It was jagged and rigid at first, but soon it became smooth and good to touch. Not to mention, the mock-up sculpture from this week as well. My partner changed the rigidness of the pool noodles to something that looks like it flows. I think this similarity between the sculpture/module my partner made and this sculpture is a mix of similar and different. They both work appearance wise.
Tumblr media
On the other end of the visual spectrum, What we can do to respect each other is a metal sculpture created by artist KC Adams. It's located in Winnipeg Canada, and is made with sheet metal and wire. The sheet metal is sculpted to imitate fire, encircling the wire sculpture resembling a human and an animal of sorts. It's meant to tell the story of spirits in the native culture that exists in Winnipeg, telling a story of brotherhood.
I like this sculpture a lot. I love working with wire in my own practice, and the way it's moulded in this is really impressive. The contrast between the solid sheet metal and the wire creates an interesting effect that actually accentuates the wire figures. I realise there isn't much contrast between our own sculptures and Adams', but I wanted to talk about it because of how impressive it is. The sharp shapes of the sheet metal fire compared to the gentle curves of the wire really draw me to it, and I love the effect that it brings.

Note
Penelope Hocking and Cheyna Matthews have both been very good. And KC are struggling in midfield and defense this game. KC had some promising moments early, but failed to capitalize and then the game got away from them.
Good draft pick for Hocking to be paying off. Would love that to be AC some day. Chicago have always done well with draft picks.

Criminal Minds 2x22:
'Legacy'
Reactions/Commentary Below The Cut
This cop cares about homeless people, prostitutes, and junkies :') Don't often hear anything like that. Nothing you can't be suspicious about, at least.
----
I hate how Hotch and particularly don't seem to care. Like, that's consistent with law enforcement. But under normal circumstances, 63 people just being gone, and Reid saying that that is unlikely but still possible, should be a trigger for them. Gideon shouldn't brush this off as people being "gone," they are missing.
JJ didn't care as much until she heard "63 people" but that damn we snapped her out of it. She has a heart, and I appreciate it.
Seems like Derek, Penelope and Emily also care. Which also nice. Maybe Derek learned his lesson after the comments about the cheerleaders.
I mean, I guess Hotch did wake up about it, but not really Gideon.
----
He is already a killing machine. He's killing multiple people a day. She kind looks like Mischa Barton, at least from some angles and under certain lighting.
Honey, you are very dumb due to those drugs.
Daaammmmnnnnn.
----
The guy who played Rufus on Supernatural! (Steven Williams)
And so what if there aren't missing persons reports, he noticed they were gone!
----
What a smart thing to do with the jacket.
----
I mean, shouldn't they have realized he was a house cleaner when the detective told them what kind of people they were? Geezus.
----
False outside light?
----
That's not possible. They wouldn't promote someone that quick just to get them somewhere where they think he won't cause trouble.
Good on Hotch for calling them "missing"!
Oh good, they know KC MO and KC KC are super close. And Nice spot JJ! The guy taunted him across state lines! FBI jurisdiction, baby!
---
Yeah, false outside lighting.
Also, you can't stand on feet that bad. Though adrenaline is a hell of a drug.
She's giving a fantastic performance though.
Her nose should be swelling.
Get out!
----
What a fucking twat of a Captain. Also, nice comeback, Hotch!
Nice spot Derek! And looks like Captain believes now!
Oh man, not a dog.
That's not a pla-oh shit.
Did, did she beat it? Come on, go faster!
DAMNIT!
----
His ENTIRE life? This guy must be older, right? I guess they could have know each other since they were kids.
----
God I hope they find her in time.
----
Girl's got gumption. Extremely impressive woman. Glad she made it.
Yay!
I mean, it's not going to ever be over for her. Not with the trauma. Though, seems like she can handle what's to come.
Unsub kind of like Alan Tudyk.

@ofarchibalds !
Penelope prided herself in being the kind of person who often felt BORED. She never really cared for long conversations, meek people or simply being left alone with her own thoughts. It was easy to find her in loud places in search of the right company            she never quite knew what came over herself to end up like that, she had never been an easy child, that much she had learned over the years, but she didn’t came to be the most bearable adult either. Her job filled a void she could no longer feel, but there were certain types of THRILLS that she could never get enough of. Loud music boomed in her ears as bodies and bodies touched and ground on each other in the dance floor. Arles would never offer her something she went to New Orleans for, it was a well-paid one hour drive to show off the expensive dress that had came to her doorstep just that morning. Getting up from where she was sitting and maneuvering herself over to the bar, the lean woman slipped in graciously in one of the stools and crossed her long legs, brown hues attentive on the bartender picking up orders here and there and bringing her something she hadn’t ordered or bought. Her eyebrow shot up and she shook her head in decline, instead asking for her own Cosmo.

You think maybe the 45 min negotiations were not with KC/PoW and the couple but Hazbeen and Penelope. Like he was begging for her to go and her not wanting to go because she wanted to do her thing?? I can see Haz going back and forth between PoW on the phone and Penelope arguing in the background. Lol

okie what are some song recs you have for us? List as many as you want (pls explain why they are so amazing too!!!)
Oh babe you have unlocked something you probably shouldn't have buckle the fuck up
Pictures in my head from the Muppet movie- Out of all the songs on here this is probably the one I relate to the most. My insecurities tend to target my relationships with my friends, so when I feel really bad about maybe ending a friendship I listen to this (Also the amount of times I've imagined animatics to this song is unhealthy)
A Pearl by Mitski- I want to scream this song from the top of a mountain that is all
Dead man's party by Oingo Boingo- Honestly this song is just a bop
Passing Through by Kaden MacKay- Sometimes it's easy for me to feel like I'm just watching my life as a movie and not living it the way I should. I also go through phases where nothing feels real and I feel really disconnected from my body and this song helps me rationalize that feeling and help me overcome it
Best Friend by Rex Orange County- I can apply the lyrics of this song to events of my life and every time I listen to it I either jam out in my room for hours or lay on the floor and cry. There is no in-between
Talia from Ride the Cyclone- This song is so lovely. I've never seen the musical, but in this song he's talking about how much he loves his online girlfriend. He's also Ukrainian and some of the lyrics are in Ukrainian! It also goes from a soft love song to disco to soft love song
The Uranium Suite from Ride the Cyclone- The ending of this song is one you belt while standing on a cliff. The lyrics are good and sets up the show well. 10/10
Adventure is out there by AJR- Prefacing this by saying that AJR holds a special place in my heart. My best friend introduced me to their music and they were also the first concert I ever went to. This song speaks to me in a way I can't describe and it's just fun to listen to
Navy Skies by Egg- This song makes me feel capable of loving someone. The soft music and sweet lyrics combine to make a song that makes my insides feel like maple syrup
Time Alive by KC Katalbas- This makes me feel like I'm driving along a road beside a beach with my hair blowing in the wind. I've cried to it several times
Death of a bachelor by Panic! At the disco- This is so good and it was also my top song of 2021 :/
Lotta true crime by Penelope Scott- My bestie and I both went through a true crime phase at the same time and she introduced me to this song. I'm still a true crime fan but I'm not as fanatic about it as I used to me, but this song reminds me of her
Karma by AJR- The ending of this song makes me cry because I can relate to it and holy shit it hits me right in the insecurities
Lay all your love on me from Mamma Mia!- THIS SONG IS A FUCKING BANGER AND IF YOU DISAGREE I WILL BECOME A VERY VIOLENT INDIVIDUAL!!!!!!!
505 by Arctic Monkeys- Sometimes I just sit on my bed and listen to this song and when I do that is the only time I feel like a whole human being, not just a consciousness in a body
Introduction to the snow by Miracle Musical- This is one of the saddest yet most beautiful songs I have ever listened to. It makes me feel emotions I didn't know I had and has gotten me through some pretty rough times. Just.... *cries*
Lavender by Penelope Scott- The only way I can describe this song is "Spinning downwards very fast" and honestly it slaps
The campfire song from The lightning thief musical- This song helped me get through the worst chapter of my life because I could relate to it so much. I can also sing it from memory
