So I was having *a moment* while listening to this audio (mind you, this audio is NOT safe for work and this is clearly not the intended direction)

BUUUUUUT my brain heard this clip and immediately was like ACTUALLY WHAT IF WE MADE IT ANGSTY

So here’s what I’m picturing:

•You’re a part of task force 141, and you get injured on a mission.

•Bullet wound to the shoulder and the upper thigh.

•Mission successful, Ghost tends to you, dressing and packing your wounds to get you stable enough for transport. Frantic murmurs of “it’s okay. You’re okay. It’s going to be okay.”

•carries you to the evac point, making gentle conversation in an attempt to keep you awake.

•”that’s my girl”

•”gonna take more than a couple bullets to bring you down”

•”get yourself some nice chest candy for this one, love”

•as you head back to base, you start to lose consciousness, drifting off

•*cue audio featuring a panicked ghost frantically telling you to keep your eyes open*

•Ghost, desperate to keep you awake, does the only thing he can think of to get you to open your eyes and focus on him: he takes off his mask

•he doesn’t care about the rest of the squad, everything else just fades into the background. He’s focused on you, on the shallow rise and fall of your chest, on your eyes, now focusing on his bare face

• a small smile on your face, all you can manage is a “hey there handsome” which at least earns a chuckle from Simon

•doesn’t even notice his hand is holding yours in a death grip, like you might just slip away from him if he dared let go

•doesn’t leave your side when you get back to base, even when passing you on to the medics.

•paces and waits until he hears that you’re stable and in the clear, then waits by your side for you to wake up :’)

Gonna just leave these thoughts here maybe I’ll write something more one day but I just had to get these out there into the ether before the Brain Rot went any deeper lol

in a fun silly little update in my life haha..i might have to start considering getting a lawyer because my university is currently charging me an extra $1,200 for being a returning student, despite not being a returning student and never enrolling in classes at any point for the fall 2024 semester and never at all renewing any housing contract. and that charge comes from my housing contract cancellation fee because i didn’t cancel it within 48 hours of the semester starting, which i didn’t know i even had to do to begin with because i never renewed my housing contract for this academic year anyways, but yeah i cancelled it because they were charging me 11k for housing despite never renewing my contract and they denied my appeal to get the $1,200 dollar cancellation fee revoked because they said i’m “a returning student” despite the fact I’m Not A Fucking Returning Student Lmao. and i called the housing office and they told me to just reply to the email where they rejected my appeal and i’m still waiting to hear back from them, i called the housing office back yesterday and i was told once they reject the appeal there’s nothing i can do and it’s done with so

so once me and my wife were watching a documentary where a snake ate like a million eggs. that snake just went to fucking town on eggs. and the snake made the eggs look so good that i kept thinking about it, and thinking about it, and thinking about it, and eventually it was 11pm and i ran out of willpower and decided to eat one (1) singular raw egg just to prove to myself that the snake was surely a liar.

the snake was not a liar. texture is like, super important to me and raw eggs are very Texture so i had another one, and then another one, and then another one, and eventually i ran out of eggs.

i had like, fifteen raw eggs.

i didnt really know how to explain this momentary madness to my wife, so my Plan was to put all the eggshells into a grocey bag, and then throw that grocery bag in the dumpster, and if she never noticed that would be Excellent and if she noticed immediately i could lie and say that the eggs went bad.

except i cant lie very good, and of course with murphys law being such, i got salmonella.

so i threw up a lot and my wife asked me what poisoned me so and i tried very hard to dodge the question but i was oozing shame like oil from a room temperature cheese and eventaully i gave in and told her everything and to her enormous credit she was more flabbergasted than actually upset. she did make me promise to not eat any more raw eggs, which i have stuck to, and she gives me weird looks during nature documentaries now as if desire was the only thing keeping me from eating thousands of pounds of krill anyway i made a joke earlier about being able to eat my age in eggs and my sister in law in law made a drawing to comemorate the moment and also because it was my birthday. she's excellent. thank you 10000000% @cintailed. you should all visit her page and admire her work.

reminder to myself and whoever else needs it to stop feeding the machine. I'm aware I'm yelling into the void but look at the past couple years of games. They're pushing $70, $80, $100!!! for games that are completely unfinished, unpolished, and sometimes completely unplayable. Yes the game showcases were cool. The doom game looks sick and I don't even go there, but they're shaking the shiny keys to distract you and get you swept up in the hype. They're going to push so much fomo marketing to get you to jump for it full price.

Wait for sales. Wait and buy a used copy. Hell, wait a couple days (even hours!!!) after launch and reviews and breakdowns will start coming out. Our game backlogs are already packed, and mr big AAA studio can deal with some of us waiting to see if they actually delivered what was promised.
