I love the idea of Cale getting flirted with and it just absolutely flying over his head. Regardless of whether he's aroace, aro, ace or neither, at his core Cale is OBLIVIOUS to how people view him.
It gets even better if his protective family knows EXACTLY what's going on, and are determined to keep everyone away.
Some visiting noble at a gala spends a few hours chatting him up, and the whole time, Cale thinks they're just trying to use him to get to his friends. Either by making a good impression by being friendly, or he's trying to manipulate Cale into giving away secrets. Jokes on him, Cale would never reveal their secrets and plans so easily, and definitely not for free! Meanwhile, Choi Han, Alberu and Eruhaben are just glaring this man down, and keep interrupting their conversation when they can. Alberu makes sure he isn't invited back.
Some lady tries to trap Cale in a scandal but Roslyn just pops up and demands to know how she could ever even think the Young Master wants her when Roslyn is right there. Cale of course thinks this means the young lady is trying to replace Roslyn as Owner of the Magic Tower, and sends her off before she can get another word in. He worked way too hard to get Roslyn her tower and position, no way is he going to let some random person steal it. The next day rumours float around that Cale will only consider eligible young ladies who are extremely proficient in magic. The Roan Kingdom's number of mages grows exponentially in a few months.
As Cale grows older, more people approach him expressing a desire to "have his children". The first time Cale hears this, he grabs Raon, On and Hong and books it out of there before these kidnappers can make their move. How prepared were they to take the kids if they had the guts to tell him to his face?! The kids aren't allowed out of sight for a week, and enjoy the extra pampering, even as the others hunt down anyone who might consider blatantly propositioning Cale.
Cale gets tired of people approaching him with their weird questions and asks Raon to keep a permanent shield around him so that no one can get too close unless allowed. To the public and many of his family, however, this just looks like Cale is so worried and stressed that he's had to keep his shield up just to have some peace. The people band together to defend their hero, and soon no one approaches Cale unless he approaches them first. Children are given a free pass, but anyone else who tries is quickly intercepted by random passerbys. Cale believes people are nervous, intimidated, or have finally stopped considering him to be a major hero.
#trash of the count's family#To really understand the energy of this post just imagine Cale's friends seeing someone walk up to him#and playing rock paper scissors for who gets to go and intervene before Cale starts looking uncomfortable#Eventually they do realize that Cale doesn't know when he's being flirted with#but then they get more protective because “how dare someone try to take advantage of his innocence”#He's just so oblivious but also extremely wary#Cale henituse#tcf cale#tcf novel#choi han#alberu crossman#raon miru#Roslyn#lout of the count’s family#tcf headcanons#tcf headcanon

The Complete Henituse Family Tree (Headcanon)
At some point after the war with the White Dandruff, Cale gets around to revealing his transmigration secret as well as the conversation with Kim Rok Soo aka OG!Cale.
Much to his surprise, everyone took it well. For one thing, most who knew Cale only met him well after he transmigrated, so they were quick to get over their shock.
The Henituse family, however...
Despite their grief and regrets over not being able to make amends with Kim Rok Soo, Violan, Basen, and Lily were quick to accept Cale as another member of their family. They take comfort in the fact that Kim Rok Soo has moved on and has now found his own happiness in Korea.
Deruth, on the other hand, quietly excused himself, saying he needs more time to come to terms with this revelation. It's not that he's rejecting KRS!Cale as his son. On the contrary, he's grown to love and cherish him like he's always meant to be his child.
It's just that the revelation that the original Cale, now Kim Rok Soo, is now somewhere far away where he can't reach. And now the opportunity to fix his relationship with his oldest son is now forever out of his reach.
The following week, a sleep-deprived and manic Deruth bursts out of his office with a packet of paperwork in hand with an announcement to make.
Turns out, he only needed to sleep on the latest info bomb Cale had dropped before deciding a solid 8 hours later that Deruth motherfucking Henituse has 4 children! Kim Rok Soo, Cale, Basen, and Lily in that exact order. Now all that's left is to forge a foolproof paper trail to make it that Kim Roksu Henituse had always existed.
Which is what he spent the next six days on nonstop.
Lily is ecstatic that she can officially call Kim Rok Soo her first orabeoni and brag about how awesome he is.
Basen took out the pen Cale gifted to him a long time ago and got to correcting Deruth's grammatical errors.
Violan wasted no time in contacting the best painter Roan has to offer to include Kim Roksu's portrait with everyone else's.
While all this is going on, Cale couldn't help but feel happy for Kim Rok Soo. A weight has been lifted from his shoulders. Even before he woke up as Cale Henituse, he couldn't help but feel that OG!Cale was a lonely person just by reading between the lines of his backstory in TBOAH. Now that the truth is out, and his soul-swapped partner is getting the recognition and acknowledgement he deserves.
Now both Cales, past and present, can say they've found where they truly belong.
Meanwhile, On and Hong made a comment wondering if their adoption into the Molan family will be as chaotic and complicated as this. Let's hope Ron and Beacrox don't run into as much trouble.
Speaking of adoption...
Cale hesitates for a whole even minute and asks if his kids averaging 9-years-old want to be officially adopted into the Henituse family. Last he checked, it's not illegal in the Henituse Duchy for Beastfolk and Dragons to be adopted by humans. He found that out when looking into the legality of making Lock and his 10 siblings his wards. The rest of the Roan Kingdom, however...
Well, if anything issues does come up, he'll just call up Alberu to cut out the middleman. His kids would be get all pouty if they can't introduce themselves as On Molan Henituse, Hong Molan Henituse, and Roan Miru Henituse moving forward.
Everyone freezes.
Oh shit, Deruth forgot about his grandkids!
Welp, time to adjust the Henituse family tree again.
So the story goes Kim Roksu Henituse is the oldest of Deruth Henituse and Jour Thames. However, he was born not only out of wedlock but very early during their courtship when they weren't even out of their teens. Kim Roksu was raised in secret for his own protection, knowing how malicious Deruth's extended family would be if they knew about his existence. Once Kim Roksu turns 18, he decided to become a freelance mercenary by trade, later losing contact with his parents by the time his baby brother, Cale, was born.
At some point in his journeys and adventures, he stumbles across Arm. Taking a risk, he infiltrates the terrorist organization and finds out about the White Son of a Bitch and his plans to become a god and destroy the world. Unfortunately, he was discovered and the White Radish kills him, but not before he was able to pass on the information to his now 18-year-old younger brother, Cale, who would use his knowledge to stop Arm's plans and defeat the White Copycat once and for all.
Kim Roksu Henituse left this world at age 36. An unsung hero, and arguably, the first unofficial casualty in Cale Henituse's personal war against the White Wannabe. One man paid the ultimate price in order to give the world a fighting chance, and his gamble paid off.
His sacrifice will never be forgotten if the Henituse family has anything to say about it.

The Kidnapped Wife
[Authors Note]: Look! I updated again! Not my main muse, but I finally got a good idea for this one. Hope you all like this one! This request in back from June. PS. As you can see I don't have my iconic title. that's because of the limit in characters you can have per post. I hate it :D.
𝚆𝚘𝚛𝚍 𝙲𝚘𝚞𝚗𝚝: 1084
»»►Getting kidnapped is something that would definitely happen to us, because, you know…we’re the wife of the most powerful man in existence.
»»►How did we get kidnapped? Oh, I don’t know…maybe it was because of the temptation of FOOD?
»»►Seriously, out of all the things they could have bribed you with, it had to be food? So uncouth.

…
“What do you mean [Name]’s been kidnapped?”
That was the first question Cale asked when he was informed his wife had been kidnapped.
Yes, you read correctly. You have been kidnapped.
And no, you did not take a nap. You’re no kid. I mean that bad people abducted you to an unknown place, far away from any village–hell, far away from any living soul.
“I received a letter from the letter’s boy under your name, Master Cale. When I grabbed it, I smelled the faint traces of poison coming from within it,” Ron explained.
There’s poison in this…?! Cale yelled in his mind, and let go of the paper instantly.
The butler smiled sinisterly, amused at Cale's actions of dropping the letter at the mention of poison. “So, to secure your wellbeing, I decided to open it and see if it was life threatening. But you needn’t worry, Master Cale. The letter only had a small amount of poison in it. It would only take effect if you were to hold it for a longer period of time.”
Bullsh-t. You knew it had poison, and didn’t bother warning me about it, you creepy old man.
“Right… Well, thank you for taking my health and well-being into consideration, Ron.”
“You are very welcomed, young master.” Bastard.
Cale turned his body to look outside the window. “Anything else regarding her?”
“Unfortunately, these foxes were more cunning than this old fool could have anticipated. They left no trace of their presence behind for us to possibly find.”
“...” Cale looked out where the children were playing, unaware of their ‘mother’s’ disappearance. “Call for Rosalyn and Raon. We need their magic for this, also…” he looked back at Ron, “get the crystal.” Ron’s smile widened. “We’re calling the imperial family. This could very well be an attack on the kingdom.”
…
Grunts and pants are the only sounds heard in a room turned upside-down from battling.
“You B-tch!” a man yelled.
“You’re calling me unpleasant?” The man went flying to the wall behind him at full speed. “Me?”
“Ah!” Another goon charged at you from the opposite side. You blocked it by grabbing his hand, going underneath, you punched him in the stomach. “Agh..!”
“Screaming your attack is very ineffective. Weren't you lot professionals?” You saw a small glimpse of the shining of a gun's metal. With quick reflexes, you throw one of the limited pieces of furniture from the palace you had been held hostage and threw it at him, rendering him immobile. “Cute try, but not good enough.”
You stood in the middle of the room full of bodies of men laying there in the ground either whining or crying out of pain. All this would have been avoided if they just decided to negotiate with you.
“Poor souls…”
…
“HAHAHAHAHA!” static cackling came from a ball on a table. It belongs to none other than the crown prince.
Cale looked at the prince like he had lost his mind. “...Why are you laughing?” Alberu looked up and stared at him through the crystal ball. Cale did not like that.
“Isn't it obvious?” He smirked, “clearly I think all of this is hilarious.”
Well no sh-t. Cale’s expression began to sour.
“Now, now, master Cale. Don’t look so distraught, [Name] is completely fine. In fact, I think she’s doing better than even I could have imagined,” he picture you beating the crap out of the kidnappers, much to his pleasure.
“Is that so…” Cale wanted to punch Alberu in the face. He just wanted to wipe that smirk off his mouth, even if it is a crime to do so.
“Master Cale, if you would allow me?” Ron approached his master from the other side of the table.
“What is it, Ron?” Cale was as irked as he could be.
“I agree with the crowned prince,” Cale looked betrayed at Ron’s agreement on the situation. “Master Cale, [Name] is a talented individual. Surely, you should put some trust in her abilities.
“I’m also in support of this, [Name]’s prowess is no joke. She’ll make it home safe on her own,” Rosalyn commented.
“What the humans are saying is true,” Raon landed on Cale’s lap. “You can trust the Great Raon Miru’s judgment!”
“...” Cale closed his eyes. With all of this faith in you, he can’t ignore it.
“Fine.” He glared at Alberu. “But if she isn’t here by sunset, I'm sending Choi Han and Raon to get her.”
“That’s fine by me!”
With that, the call ended, and Alberu couldn’t stop from giggling at Cale’s worriedness for you.
“Ah… [Name], you’ve gotten yourself a worrywart as a husband.”
…
The sun had gone down a while ago, the birds went to rest, and the children had all gone to sleep on your shared bed. Yet, there was still no sign of you anywhere in sight.
Cale paced back and forth in the balcony, he did not enjoy worrying about someone's safety, much less yours.
“Master Cale.”
“Huh? Oh...Choi Han. Has there been any news?” He looked down and shook his head slowly. “I see… It’s getting late, you should head to sleep.”
“But, master Cale, who will–”
“I will.”
“...” Choi Han wanted to protest, yet he remained silent. He knew better than to argue with a stubborn man. “Yes, sir…” He left Cale with himself.
Hearing a click from the door, Cale let out a frustrated sigh and scratched his head, annoyed at the situation at hand.
“...Where are you [Name]?” he whispered.
“I was gone for a day, and you missed me that much?”
“!” Cale twisted his body and faced the person that had spoken to him.
And it was none other than his lovely wife.
“Hi, Bo,” You smiled sweetly. “How are you?”
Cale sighted for what seemed like the 100th time this day. Only this time, it was out of relief. “I’m fine…” he said with a small smile.
“I’m glad…” You leaned and gave him a kiss on the check.
“Only there..?”
“Well, yes. I’m extremely hungry right now, and I want to eat,” with perfect timing, your stomach growled loudly.
“...” Cale’s eyebrow twitched at your response. He motioned his hand to look like a knife, and karate-chopped you in the head.
“OW–”
“I’ll go get Beacrox to prepare something for you. Wait here,” opening the door, he pointed at you. “And don’t. Move.” You giggled.
“Eye, eye, captain.”
With an approving nod he left in search of your meal.

I just thought of this idea while reading through Klarion’s (Dan’s) mother meets his fake friends au and that is a side post about the tcf gods and hero party founding out and interacting with Bite. (I think it would be funnier if the gods thought that Bite was just a person that ascended to the position of God of Death then him being the son of a God of Death or any other way to a ascend to godhood without the gods finding about Danny)
There’s multiple ways to do this with ether Bite getting in trouble and Danny having to help him or where like Dan’s situation Danny’s just visits him to check on how he is doing. It’s just that everyone is surprised that Bite is Danny’s son and Cale just looks at him like “How could a bastard god like you come from him” and just points at Danny
(You could make side post where the people of the world where one of Danny’s kids lives in meets him and is surprised)
I... LOVE THIS!
Honestly I wanted to write something for TCF for a while but never really had the guts to do so really before other than my brain thinking up scenarios...
Soooooo here we go!
[Added note: sorry this took me way longer than it should have. Just saw it in my drafts, and i was horrified for how long it had been in there....]
----------------
Bite groaned as he leafed through his paper work that had accumulated once again. He had just worked through his latest pile and now there was another pile on his desk already. His mom was going to be annoyed that he was going to miss another family dinner. Hopefully he wasn't going to be the only one sitting out. He knew if he missed the family dinners to often his mom would just up and show up in his space or rather his dimension with the different worlds he took care of.
His head hit the table dramatically. Sometimes he hated being the responsible one among his siblings to the point that his mother trusted him with taking care of a couple of worlds of his own.
"You look tired God of Death." A voice hummed amused.
Bite had enough dignity to lift his head up so his chin was now resting on the table as he glared at Angelina, the Sun God, who in return only chuckled amused.
"If you are here to try and take Cale from me again...."
"He still hasn't agreed to be your Saint. I still got a chance."
Bite only glared more as he began to mutter. "No you don't. You already got Alberu, who should be mine but he is of the Crossman linage, so lucky you! You are not taking my child from me."
Angelina laughed amused. "You know Cale doesn't like it when you call him 'your child'."
The recent God of Death only huffed not dignifying her dig with a response as he pulled a random sheet of paper from the stack of his desk as he sat up straighter again. "Don't you have your own work to do instead of pestering me?"
"Not really." Angelina hummed. It was in that moment that Bite felt a shift, he shivered. Something wasn't right and that didn't have anything to do with the Sun God bothering him. Wide eyed his hands slammed down on his table as his chair clattered to the back when he stood. "Oh no...."
.........
"Oh is that so? Has he been bothering your 'Young Master' a lot?" Danny hummed, sipping politely a very good lemon tea. Mentally he was filing Cale away as a grandchild already, taking his son calling the young man his child very serious. Because come on, his son was raised in a Ghost Community, if he claimed that soul as child than that made him Danny's grandchild.
The old man, Ron, before him, smiled eerily as if sensing Danny's thoughts. Still judging if this man before him was a danger or not. Though the little dragon wasn't threading the man as a danger to Cale. Nor was the blond older Dragon that apparently instantly marched over the moment he had sensed Danny's arrival and was watching the white haired man critically too.
"Say, does the boy need another grandpa? You can never have enough grandpa's though. My son is calling your Young Master his child and... i wanna be a dotting, spoiling grandfather. Always wanted to be, but my sister didn't even let me spoil my own kids before." Danny smiled innocently as he let the little kids play with a harmless ball of ectoplasm.
Meanwhile, Cale while outwardly appearing very calm and collected, watching Ron and apparently a white-haired, other wordly deity, had a blank expression. And after he was done mentally questioning how the entirely different word system worked, how screwed up it was and how he could exploit it. Also started questioning, how such a man could be the God of Death's apparent father.
Once he was done with that mental gymnastic, Cale wondered... at first he wanted to ask that man for compensation for his sons doings but then... he thought if that man wanted to be a dotting and spoiling grandfather.... maybe there was a good way to use that to his advantage, after all he was trash.
Danny, meanwhile, enjoyed getting to know more extended family. He definitely was going to spoil this grandson and then the great grandchildren. And then he would also drag his son Bite home to have some words with him.

@nerdpoe I saw ur krs doesn't get instant au and i wrote something short for it 👉👈
There are no thoughts running through Raon miru's head as he stared at the rubble in front of him.
At his human. Cale, who is inhaling raspy, short breaths. There is blood pouring out of his mouth. He looks like he is in pain.
How-
What just happened?
They were at camp. Everything was peaceful. Choi han was sharing stories of his homeland, everyone was telling jokes and laughing and singing songs. There was- an earthquake? The mountain must have been unstable. The prince said there was an abandoned mine nearby that needed to be sealed off because of rising bandit activity. Cale had only accepted because Raon, Ohn and Hong wanted to go on a vacation-
It was supposed to be an easy, fun trip. Then they noticed the shaking and the falling rocks and not even Choi han could have helped without making it worse. He had panicked. He was relaxed and happy and wasn't thinking properly when the Boulders started falling.
Cale stumbles the slightest bit and Raon is the first one to get to him. The dragon lowers him down gently with magic as Ron starts checking his vitals, getting him to breath.
Raon miru is ashamed to say that there was a moment of silence where no one could move. Once Cale is cleared for transport, the dragon gets ready to teleport everyone back home.
It feels like his ears are stuffed with cotton, the only thing in his line of sight being Cale covered in his own blood. Cale does not fall unconscious until he is laid back in bed and a healer is called. But he does not speak. And Raon does not know what to think.
---
The dining hall is dead silent. Cale is sleeping and Jack had been called to keep a close eye on him.
Raon would love to be by his human's side and count the seconds until he woke up again but...
Cale saved them.
(Again.)
And he did it using- well. That's what raon wants to know. And he wants to know so he can ban Cale from using it ever again.
Raon miru would do anything to never hear that sound come from Cale Henituse's throat ever again.
Cale is not one to cry. He is known for his levelheadedness. Even in situations where a normal man would break. Its one of the reasons why he is so dependable, trustworthy, the shield of the roan kingdom. (His human hates that nickname but it doesn't mean it's not true in a way.)
In that moment of weakness, cale opened his mouth, let out the most gutteral scream-
and decimated the entire mountain.
'indescribable. Full of anguish and fury and sorrow.' Is what the people that were with Cale that day agreed on when reporting back to Alberu. A scream that wouldn't belong anywhere but the funeral of your most precious person.
A scream that fuels Raon's drive to be stronger. So that Cale will never be in a situation where using that is the only way out.
Raon hears Choi han make the same promise to himself later that day while at Cal's bedside. While Raon, Ohn, and Hong are trying to distract themselves by drawing together (it's not working). He knows that the other two heard it as well by the determined look they all shared and he knows that they are thinking the same thing.
---
When Cale woke up, (A few people cried. Choi han included.) he was banned from talking by Jack and Ron and Eruhaben and raon and Rosalyn and the kids and-
Cale was not allowed to talk.
Meaning he had to listen to everyone lecture him while being unable to retort. He was given a pen and paper that was mostly filled with apologies and attempting to avoid any questions about the mysterious ability. Cale could only eat soup for the time being because of the internal wounds in his throat. Ron stuck to sweet, room temperature tea for fear of the acidity of his usual blend aggravating his throat more.
Eruhaben and Ron drilled it into his head that he could never use that ability ever again. (Cale privately apologized in his head because he would do so in a heartbeat if necessary. The ancient dragon and assassin pretended as if they didn't also know this.) Hong thinks he heard Ron and Cale have a heart-to-heart. Although it was Ron questioning him and fast responses in the form of writing for Cale.
Alberu did not mention the reports of citizens in the nearby town being scared of the scream that came from the forest. The sadness some felt from the sound. His royal highness feels a bit guilty for being thankful that he did not have to hear Cale's ability.
Rosalyn was quick to create a device so Cale can communicate better, something to play the writing outloud. And if she spent a bit of extra time in Cale's room where she braided his hair, sharing new stories about her siblings when asked, then that's between them.
---
I feel like if roan has a version of sign language then everyone would make the effort to learn it. Even though Cale can still technically speak, no one wants him to strain himself. (Vitality of the heart fixed most of it but they weren't hearing it. He still gets phantom pains sometimes so Cale is quietly grateful for their support.)

Personal pet peeve: When a particular character has a lot of paperwork and such associated with their job and it has been established in universe that the work is extremely hard, complicated, and tedious but then in fanfic another character in another job position takes up this character's paperwork and does it perfectly. That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works.
Paperwork is not some nebulous pile of papers so easy that anyone can just waltz in and fill it up just like that. Paperwork, especially for large organisations, requires specific training and knowledge. A particular situation might have at least ten forms associated with it depending on how it happened, when it happened, who were involved, who were affected, who filed the initial report etc. It could be form A.1, it could be form B8, it could be G3 or D-3.2e, and then it has to be filed away in a specific way under a specific designation. At times it could be completely nonsensical but still necessary and part of proper procedure....all of that requires training and experience. Someone from a totally unconnected role can't just take over this position and do an excellent job at it, unless it has been previously established that they too had prior training and guidance in this.
Example: Cale(KRS) and Basen Henituse in Trash of the Count's Family. Kim Rok Soo before trasmigration into Cale Henituse was a team leader who has experience with important official documentation and paperwork for the Company. Basen Henituse is established to have been send to territory heirship classes and doing well in them. These two people being able to take on the other's paperwork load is not at all farfetched. (Same with Cale and Alberu though the latter would still have to sign and seal his insignia separately in the end.)
So no someone who's untrained can't just take someone else's paperwork and just breeze through them unless they are like supernaturally intelligent to the point of figuratively downloading all the necessary data and information directly into their brain or something.
Let's not even talk about how the character might have a particular way and organisation of doing things and someone else taking over their workload without permission might just mess that order up and their well intended actions might end up doing more harm than good.
Look at MXTX's Shang Qinghua or Ling Wen. As I'm reading SVSSS right now let's take it as an example.
Someone who can conduct and lead an audit: Shang Qinghua, specifically trained as an auditor. Yue Qingyuan- can possibly fill in for a specific kind of audit.
Someone who cannot conduct an audit: Literally every other Peak Lord on Cang Qiong. Not trained for it. Should not be in charge of it.
Someone who can file in medical paperwork: Mu Qingfang, head of medical operations in the sect.
Someone who can't do that: his Peak Lord colleagues. At most they'll be able to file in incident reports and other such forms that guardians of patients will have to fill in at a hospital.
People involved with merchants and associated business transactions: Shang Qinghua(logistics expert-procurement logistics), and for large contracts, Yue Qingyuan(Sect Leader). Other Peak Lords depending on the goods. For example the Zui Xian Peak Lord when they are negotiating prices for the raw materials or equipment for alcohol brewing or Wei Qingwei when they are sourcing metal.
Someone who can handle annual budgeting: Shang Qinghua. Person who allocates the funds according to the final budget- Yue Qingyuan.
Persons who can't do that: His colleagues who are definitely not trained in finances and accounting.
And so on and so on.
Shang Qinghua was invited back to the sect after literal treason because nobody else could do his job. That should tell you that people without specific training can't just take over the paperwork of another person's job unless their own jobs are connected enough to be sufficiently similar that they can handle it.
So no someone like Shen Qingqiu who's a scholar and tactician primarily, can't take the entirety of Shang Qinghua's or Mu Qingfang's or Yue Qingyuan's paperwork and fill it in for them, no matter how intelligent he is. Though I'm sure Yue Qingyuan would let him sect be damned lmao.
You see things like this in many other fandoms as well. Innocuous forms that anyone can fill in are okay but complicated paperwork for auditing, budgeting, logistics, diplomacy, business transactions, internal affairs, etc? No way. That all takes time to familiarize with before even properly filing them let alone actually doing them.
This is of course a personal pet peeve as I mentioned from the beginning. People are free to write what they want, read what they want, like what they want. This is no way an accusation towards particular individuals. It's just that for me it breaks immersion pretty quickly.

If I had a nickel for everytime I dreamed that Lily was kidnapped and Og!Cale ran looking out for her, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird it happened twice.
In the first one, Lily got kidnapped in the Capital and og!Cale instantly started running around, doing detective work but also really in panic. At some point he figured out who could have a hint on Lily's kidnapper, but the person in question was in the castle dungeons. So he went and straight entered in a room where Alberu was having a meeting with other nobles, not caring at all who was there, and asked him to sign a permission.
Og!Cale: *opens the door* Your Highness, sign this! *Slams form on the table*
Alberu, who wasn't expecting a random noble to crash his office: ...
The nobles: *shoked in victorian era* ...
Alberu: how did you got here?
Og!Cale: I flew through the third floor entry. It has my mom's name on it. More important, I'm in a hurry. So could you sign it already?
Alberu, confused as fuck because 'wdym by third floor entry? That's just a window': *reads the paper* permission to visit the dungeons? Why do—
Og!Cale, too worried to even keep his trash act and also practically a mind reader (not really): My sister was kidnapped and that guy may know where she could be. As I said, I'm in a hurry.
Alberu: That's terrible. *About to sign it* Is there any other way I can help?
Random noble: Excuse me?! Your Highness, this is not according to the protocol. I had to wait for months after my solicitude was sent to have this meeting. Why does he get a special treatment?!
Og!Cale, without paying an eye: Aren't you that Viscount that keeps wasting big sums on gifts for a mistress? *To Alberu* I guess he's asking money "for his territory". I bet he spent all his budget and is trying to hide it from his wife.
The noble: *pales* That— you— Your Highness, I can explain *faints*
Alberu: *sighs* I'll have someone investigate it. *Signs the form* Is there anything else I need to know?
Og!Cale, already exiting the room with the permission at hand: *tilts head* I've heard that people had been dissapearing in the Southwest region. *Narrows eyes* Huh. It's near the Gyerre territory now that I think about it.
Og!Cale: Anyways, goodbye. *Leaves*
Alberu, absentmindedly: So that's what father meant when he said redheads are "a crazy force of nature that could destroy a little country without force".
Antonio, who happened to be in the meeting: *silently having an existential crisis*
It turned out that the culprit was Og!Cale's past teacher (yes, that guy) who was working with traffickers. He wanted to see whether Og!Cale would resolve his "little game" or he would "lose" (have Lily sold before someone finds them). He also kinda hates her because "he lost his student by her fault" (no, it wasn't her fault. He's just crazy).
Og!Cale found out where Lily was being held and he, along with a pair of knights, went for her. All of them had a fun time beating the creepy bastard.
Then Og!Cale walked to their house carrying Lily on his arms.
In the second one, a monster-like creature broke into Lily's room, took her and flew away. Og!Cale was sitting on his bedroom's window and saw his little sister being taken away by a blurr of mass. He jumped out of the window to follow, of course. Then the knights saw a thing flying over their heads and the young master speedruning after it.
Og!Cale: Come back here!
Hillsman: Young master Cale?!
Og!Cale: What are you doing?! Stop that thing! It has Lily!
Knights: Ah! *Start chasing the thing too*
I don't know what happened next because I woke up.

illusions
He didn’t know what had happened—nor did he care.
All he knew now was that his energy had been completely drained.
He could no longer feel anything around him; the sound of the breeze had faded, and the colors vanished from his tired eyes.
All he wanted now was to surrender to sleep, even for a few minutes, beside the embodiment of that illusion gently stroking his hair.
Those cold touches were something he had longed for all these past years.
With a heavy breath, he let his eyes fall shut, and the fatigue that had clung to his soul like a second skin at last rose to the surface.
Slowly, his mind began to drift—
To the events that had led him to this very moment...
It was an ordinary day—or so it seemed on the surface.
As usual, he moved from one official meeting to another, spent hours listening to ministers’ reports, then received several nobles who arrived bearing their familiar complaints, flattering words, and the ever-persistent marriage proposals, though he had long since made a public declaration relinquishing the throne to one of his brother’s children.
Later, he devoted hours to reviewing the kingdom’s development plans—adjusting here, striking through there, adding a suggestion or rejecting another, his eyes sharp though his mind bore the heavy weight of duty.
Everything moved as it should, as if the wheel of routine turned without the slightest falter.
The sun was breathing its last on the edge of the horizon, casting golden threads across the sky like a silent farewell curtain—a quiet gesture of mourning, as if the heavens themselves grieved for him.
And then it left him behind, adrift once more with his silent companion—solitude.
It crept in through the cold corners of his room, slipped in with the last breath of day, and settled in his chest like an unseen void.
There was no noise, only the heavy silence that cloaked the room like a shroud wraps a lifeless body—just as he had wrapped his own feelings in smiles, masking them with polished lies.
The last fingers of sunlight slipped into the palace, reaching for the emperor seated amid towers of documents, his pen tracing its final signatures like a poet weaving verses on parchment.
The glow of dusk kissed his weary features, casting a quiet enchantment upon him, as if time itself had stopped—and the world, for a fleeting moment, forgot everything but that solitary, spellbound scene.
The room was quiet, broken only by the soft scratch of the pen gliding across official papers.
His hands moved fluidly over the pages, as though his fingers knew the path by heart, requiring no conscious thought—signing, stamping, reviewing reports with a precision that had long since become second nature.
Alberu was immersed in his work, absorbed in completing the weighty tasks.
And though everything was over—the wars, the White Star, the hunters, even his own personal battles—though he had achieved the dream he had fought for so long, a silent desolation still clung to his soul.
An emptiness he had once believed would vanish once he fulfilled his long-held wishes—only to be struck by the bitter truth.
There were many people around him—his aunt, cale, the children, his allies—but their presence, no matter how warm, could never truly fill the hollow carved deep within him by the passing years.
And even with all that weight he carried within him, he locked the doors around himself tightly—
As if confession were betrayal, as if asking for help were a weakness unworthy of him.
He never reached out, never raised the flag of exhaustion.
Instead, he wore a calm smile—polished, composed, a mask that betrayed nothing of what stirred beneath it.
He smiled with the finesse of someone who had learned how to deceive the world, how to wrap his wounds in glittering paper made of pleasantries and fleeting laughter.
Even when loneliness gnawed at his heart, even when the emptiness grew heavy in his chest, that smile remained—reassuring, steady, as if nothing was ever wrong.
---
But to the one who looked a little deeper, it became clear that this smile was nothing but a fragile wall—
Behind it, a small boy quietly ached.
A boy who asked for so little—
Only to be held by one of his parents,
To hear a simple “Well done”, or even “I’m proud of you”.
To feel a gentle hand ruffle his hair,
To catch a single glance of pride that could have sustained him for a lifetime.
He wasn’t asking for much—
Just begging for a little love, a touch of warmth from the ones who gave him life.
But all he asked for, he asked of the void—
And the void never answered.
His mother…
She left too soon—so soon that he forgot the details of her face, the warmth of her voice, even the scent of her embrace.
All that remained was a faded image that hurt him every time he tried to remember.
And at her funeral, he didn’t cry.
He wasn’t allowed to.
How could a prince break down before the eyes of the world?
But the truth was—he simply couldn’t.
Back then, crying wasn’t weakness... it was betrayal.
A betrayal of the little boy who believed—
It was his fault.
Yes, his fault.
That’s what he came to believe.
If only he’d been stronger, smarter—
If only he’d done something—
She wouldn’t have died.
She died because of him.
Because of his weakness.
So, when the tears welled up in his eyes, he felt like a fraud.
How dare he cry?
How dare he grieve, when he was the one who had caused it all?
And when his aunt wrapped him in her arms, whispering that it was okay to cry—
He couldn’t.
He didn’t cry.
She was close, warm, offering him what he had lost…
But he was afraid.
Afraid to let her in.
Afraid to love her the way he had loved his mother—
Because what if death took her away, too?
It had been greed—selfishness, really—wanting to keep her close despite his fear.
And yet, he couldn’t let her go.
Because she was the only one who loved him without conditions, without titles, without expectations.
She loved him as he was—
With his broken pieces, his silence, and his counterfeit smile.
He felt disgusted with himself for clinging to her.
And still—
He was willing to burn in silence,
If only... to keep from losing her.
So he held his aunt close—
With the last sparks of childhood still flickering inside him—
And silently vowed, from the depths of his small heart,
That he would never let her shed a tear because of him.
She was everything he had left.
The last of his family.
The last trace of warmth, of anything that could be called home.
He cherished her as he did his own soul—
Placed her on a pedestal unreachable by doubt,
Untouched by the fear that stained the rest of his wounded heart.
She was the only reason he kept breathing,
The reason he turned away from death when it called to him.
And yet—
In a fleeting moment,
When his eyes met hers one day,
He saw it.
Fear.
And a sorrow so deep, it could not be spoken—nor hidden.
It was etched into the silence between them like a scar.
And in that moment—
He understood.
He understood then—
She had seen him. Always.
She watched him as he wore his hollow smiles.
Heard the tremble he tried to bury by lowering his voice.
She noticed the pallor behind his pride, the emptiness that lurked beneath his crafted might.
She had seen his soul.
But what truly shattered him—
Was the belief that she had seen the monster.
The monster that lived inside him,
That whispered, over and over, “You killed her.”
The child who survived death, but never escaped guilt.
She had seen the murderer in his eyes—
The killer that still breathed beneath his skin.
And yet… she never pulled away.
She never turned her love into hatred.
She looked at him with eyes full of silent mercy,
Wishing—pleading—that he would stop blaming himself.
Wishing he could believe he was worthy of love and light.
Because he was.
And in that quiet gaze, she told him:
“I don’t see you the way you see yourself.”
In that moment, the ground beneath him cracked.
He was on the verge of collapse.
But he didn’t fall.
Because a prince does not break.
And because she… she was all he had left.
So he began to step away—
Carefully, steadily, quietly—
that no one would notice.
__________ he had always known, deep down,
That his desire for the throne was never a noble ambition, nor the royal dream everyone believed it to be.
It was a quiet hunger—
A silent yearning for a single glance from his father,
For a word of pride,
For the simplest of recognitions: “You are my son.”
He wanted the crown because he thought reaching it would make him visible—
That it would make his father turn, smile, say something… anything.
But as time passed,
With every council meeting he was never summoned to,
With every decision made while he stood behind closed doors,
With every warm laugh he heard from afar—never meant for him—
The cold truth took root:
There was no place for him in his father’s heart.
The king didn’t need him—
Barely even saw him.
As if his existence were a mere historical accident,
Important only on paper.
And with that truth, the dream began to fade.
The throne no longer gleamed in his eyes—
It became a mirror,
Reflecting only his fragility,
And how far he was willing to burn just to be loved by someone who never offered him warmth.
Everything he did...
Everything he longed for...
Had always been for a man
Who never once reached for him.
But he never admitted that to anyone.
Because—
Because princes are not meant to ask for love.
And so… he continued.
He pressed on toward the throne with steady steps, sharp eyes, and unyielding silence.
It was his way of screaming without sound—
Of saying, “I’m here… I exist.”
Every political battle he fought, every brilliant decision he made, every move that brought him closer to the crown—
Was nothing but a desperate attempt to carve his name into the memory of a man who had never truly been a father.
He never realized—
Or perhaps he refused to realize—
That with every step forward, he was straying further from himself.
Clinging to the illusion of royal affection,
Leaving behind the little boy who was never held, who never truly believed that love could come without conditions.
He won councils.
He earned the loyalty of nobles.
He inspired admiration with his resilience and cunning.
But his eyes grew emptier,
And his heart—heavier with every passing day.
He thought he was ascending.
But the truth?
He was drowning
In a delusion he had crafted with his own hands.
And he didn’t notice—
Until he no longer knew who he was without the title of “heir.”
Until he became afraid of stopping—
Because stopping meant facing the void.
The void no crown could fill.
No applause could silence.
No one suspected a thing.
No one noticed the distant look in his eyes, nor those fleeting moments when his eyelids fell as if holding back a tear that had no permission to fall.
Everyone chose to believe the lie he had so patiently woven—
That he was strong.
No one ever asked him how he truly felt.
No one saw the weight pressing on his shoulders, or the exhaustion spilling shadows across his features.
He played his role too well—
The resolute prince, unwavering, unbreakable.
_______________
They saw him as strong because he never bowed,
Brave because he never ran,
Steadfast because he never screamed.
But cale… saw.
He was the only one who saw without staring, understood without questioning, believed without needing proof.
That enigmatic, quiet young man—
So alike him in ways too deep to count—
As if wreckage recognized wreckage,
As if the rust on one heart was drawn to the rust of another.
Cale didn’t pat his shoulder or flood him with empty comforts.
He simply said, with that unwavering certainty of his:
"Your existence is valid. You were born to be king."
And for the first time…
Someone believed in him as he was.
Cale, with his recklessness, his wild defiance, his madness that flirted with chaos—
Was pure loyalty.
Uncompromised.
He gave Alberu a devotion that couldn’t be demanded,
A companionship that couldn’t be bought.
And every time Alberu thought he had figured him out,
Cale surprised him again—
With his brilliance, his insanity,
His humanity tucked away behind a mask of indifference.
And so, without meaning to,
Alberu began to rely on him.
To treasure him.
But every time death brushed close to cale—
With each reckless abuse of his power—
Alberu’s heart trembled.
Just one more loss
Would break him.
Losing his mother had taught him one brutal truth:
Everyone who gets too close… dies.
And so, in the quiet corners of his heart, he began to pull away.
Trying to protect cale from the curse of his presence.
Trying to save him—from himself.
And yet… cale, as always, returned.
Unshaken. Uninvited. Unafraid.
And there, deep within Alberu, a bitter question took root—
One that gave him no rest.
If cale knew…
If he knew the truth—
Would he hate him?
Blame him?
Leave?
In that moment, Alberu wished for nothing more than for cale to leave quietly,
If he had to leave at all.
Because he was tired.
Tired of begging life not to take more.
Tired of holding onto hope like it was a blade.
Tired… of loving someone else,
Knowing that no one survives it.
With every paper he signed, every task he completed,
He felt himself slipping further and further away from reality,
Falling deeper into delusions.
He was like a drowning man…
Clinging to a straw,
Convincing himself that it was a lifeline,
While the water rose, the sound faded,
And the cold seeped into his bones.
But he didn’t scream.
He didn’t cry for help.
Deep inside, he knew no one would save him.
So, he continued holding onto the straw…
Perhaps because sometimes,
The illusion is kinder than the truth.
With the final signature on the last document, the pen stopped between his fingers.
Albero stared at the completed page in front of him, not truly seeing it, as if the whole world had vanished, and only he remained, alone in the midst of a heavy silence.
Cold crept into the tips of his fingers, despite the warmth of the room,
And suddenly, he felt that the achievement he had once dreamed of… was crushing him in the most painful way.
He closed his eyes for a moment, trying to find solace in the silence.
Minutes passed before he silently, tiredly, decided that he needed to walk for a while,
Away from this stillness that began to suffocate him.
He slowly rose from his seat, ignoring the scattered papers on the table,
And the pile of scattered teacups, stepping out of the room with heavy footsteps.
The palace hallways were drowned in the quiet of the evening.
Everyone had finished their work and retired to the world of dreams.
He walked aimlessly, moving through the parts of the palace, the winding corridors,
Listening to the soft echo of his steps on the cold floor.
Here, too, he was alone.
Then, out of the corner of his eye, he caught a glimpse of a distant corner, barely touched by footsteps,
A faint light emanating from it.
He tensed, gripped his pen, and walked towards it with careful, cautious steps,
To see that door—camouflaged in the ornate wall, as though part of the very fabric of the palace itself.
He had never remembered seeing it before, despite knowing every corner of this place in detail.
He stopped in front of it, his eyes staring at it with a cautious curiosity.
This door...
It was nowhere to be found in any of the official records or the blueprints he had memorized by heart.
It was as if it had appeared from nowhere.
He reached out and gently pushed the door.
A faint creak reached his ears as it opened, as if the door hadn't been opened in years, or perhaps never before.
The door revealed a narrow, dark corridor, filled with the scent of ancient time and forgotten dust.
Albero walked inside without hesitation, as though some unseen force was guiding him forward, farther and deeper, until he reached another door.
This door was different—engraved with ancient symbols that seemed to pulse beneath the dusted fingertips, glowing for a brief moment as his fingers brushed them.
He opened the door, and before him stretched a vast space, filled with endless waving green grass under a soft, source-less light.
It was vast in a way that defied reason, and at the center, a massive tree stood, impossibly large, emitting a faint, silver glow.
But he barely noticed the tree.
What truly caught his attention was the figure—an ethereal presence standing near the tree.
He held his breath at the sight, then began to move toward her, as the features of the woman slowly became clearer.
A woman, her hair flowing like a silken waterfall, her eyes carrying a warmth that had long been his secret yearning, and a sad smile that found its way to his soul without hesitation—a face he had always wanted to remember.
It was his mother.
Her apparition, or perhaps her spirit, or maybe just a mirage created by the place, it didn’t matter.
For all that Albero saw in that moment was his mother, as he had longed to see her for years.
He took a step, then another, his breath faltering, his lips trembling.
"Mother..." he whispered, barely audible, as though afraid that the dream would vanish if his voice rose.
The apparition smiled at him with tenderness, opening her arms as if inviting him, without words, without explanation.
Albero rushed forward, feeling the weight of an entire lifetime lift from his shoulders, and fell to his knees before her.
He couldn't touch her—his hands passed through the light—but she was there, close to him, in a way deeper than any physical contact.
Warm whispers rose in the space, like an old song his heart knew.
He felt the warmth seep into him, filling the emptiness he had long believed would never heal.
Tears fell silently down his cheeks, and he didn’t try to stop them.
For the first time in a long while, he allowed himself to break, without fear, without pride.
He cried as he had never cried before, overwhelmed by sorrow.
Soft whispers reached him — not words, but ancient melodies that spirits hum when they return to visit their loved ones.
He closed his eyes and surrendered to that illusory embrace, to the warmth that seeped into his heart, heavy with loneliness.
He felt as though something inside him, something fragile, had finally healed... if only for a moment.
In that instant, nothing else mattered anymore.

Tcf part 2 chapter 266
“Hey, human! The crown prince has dark circles under his eyes right now! His cheeks are hollow! We need to give him 10 apple pies, no, 100!” Cale sighed and wiped his eyes with both hands. He barely opened his mouth. *Aren’t you having a hard time?” - Crunchy. (Writing on paper sound idk) Alberu, who was working hard, stopped for a moment and smiled at Cale. With fresh eyes and a dull, yet innocent and pretty face, -You mean doing both work and games? “Yes, wouldn’t it be better to do it in moderation?” Cale spoke in a good way, and Alberu casually shrugged his shoulders and opened his mouth.
-Is it worth a try? At that time, Raon suddenly shouted. "Th-the crown prince looks like our human now!” And at the same time, Cale blurted out without realizing it. “This is driving me nuts.”

How does it feel Cale? Exhausting isn't it? Now you know how Alberu has felt for years🤣

Master-post guide on [In the Borderline]
Hey guys if you’re wondering why this exists is because I think that ItB has too many words so I’m just gonna straight up give you guys summaries of each chapter. + other world building stuff that’s important because there’s a lot of it and with how long it is, it’s hard to remember lol.
Chapters for s1
Prologue: Changes
Summary—> The people around Cale Henituse noticing how he’s changed, a set up chapter for the bigger plot.
What’s important:
Events have happened differently from canon(most notably, Violan and Deruth’s marriage being pushed back three years)
Basen being vaguely aware about his brother’s reasons to acting that way (implying that Cale’s trash act wasn’t completely perfect from the start)
Jour’s study housing novels and research books of all kinds.
The regression goes back to year 777 (4 years before the Harris Village Incident)
Chapter 1: Welcome Back(1)
Summary—> Kim Roksoo witnesses the end moments of Cale’s death and interferes with the deal after passing out while reading [The Birth of a Hero]. He now knows the voice in his head(concerning I know.) was actually the trash, Cale Henituse. The first few days of the regression on Roan are detailed. Cale begins to repair his relationship with his siblings
What’s important:
They won the war. Roan Kingdom was never razed to the ground.
Lily Henituse is alive(actually count most of the hero party here too, they all would’ve technically bit the dust by the final battle in TBoaH)
The deal being imperfect.
Once again Jour’s study being basically the library of Alexandria i guess.
Chapter 2: Welcome back(2)
Summary—> Cale wakes up on Earth, they go to a library before the chapter cuts back to Roan. Cale trains and spends time with the north-eastern nobles. Two year time skip after this. At the ending Cale’s whole death is revealed alongside the deal Choi Han made with the God of Death. He is now aware of the existence of [The Birth of a Hero].
What’s important:
List of survivors: Lily, Lock, Rosalyn, Hans, Alberu, Amiru, Choi Han.
List of those who had died: Jour, Deruth, Ron, Basen, Violan, Eric, Hilsman (Ron’s situation is complicated, though lol)
Lock and Lily were not there for the finale of the battle as well as Alberu, Rosalyn was there but she did not see the final confrontation with the WS
Despite Cale making the deal immediately after he died, those in Roan lived one more year until the world was reset.
Chapter 3: What was left behind(1)
Summary—> Aftermath of Cale’s death. Backstory stuff to how Henituse got involved with the hero party. Choi Han becomes count, one year timeskip and everybody becomes the papers in [The Birth of a Hero]. Choi Han’s deal with death in detail. Death monologs about important plot stuff
What’s important:
The amount of words everyone had on their papers. For example, Lily having several blank pages despite living and witnessing major parts of the war while the original protagonists of [The Birth of a Hero] have many words on their pages.
Removing/repressing memories from souls being a difficult process since souls r memories.
The only thing stronger than Death was Memories. No one truly dies until they are forgotten.
The more GoD messes with things the less power he actually has cause of # punishment (he’s getting beat up)
Chapter 4: What was left behind(2)
Summary—> Choi Han’s back in Korea and tells his mom he’s suicidal(self aware king!) , eats food and has several flashbacks. Choi Han lives life in Korea for a month before he runs into the dark forest cause he’s paranoid (# self sacrificial king, he didn’t need to do all that tho) and he wrote a lot in diaries and journals about his time in Roan
What’s important:
Choi Han and Choi Jungsoo actually interacted in the past and Choi Han’s time on earth is closer to CJS and KRS’s time
CH’s dad(Choi Sujin/CSJ) noticing CH’s presence even though CH is literally a war veteran.
CH being mentally unstable (VERY IMPORTANT)
Chapter 5: Old friend(1)
Summary —> Cale posses KRS on earth. Cuts to Roan and Cale makes plans to go to Harris Village without Deruth’s knowledge. Important nightmare sequences happen. Cale goes to Harris village
What’s important:
The first signs of the imperfect regression.
Cale’s depressing and somewhat gay dreams
The concepts of ghosts as a whole
Chapter 6: Old friend(2)
Chapter summary—> Cale goes to Harris village and collects the Rings of Life and he also starts bleeding and looking like he’s almost dying. Choi Han was stalling meeting Cale so he took a walk near the forest only to meet Cale anyway and rush him to medical attention. CH can see KRS too and communicate telepathically. Choi Han follows them back to Rain City
What’s important:
Everything about RoL
CH being able to see KRS
CH getting out of the forest earlier.
CH having unreliable memories and narration of events
The Granny who took in Choi Han having grandchildren unlike in [The Birth of a Hero]
Chapter 7: Old friend(3)
Summary—> They get back to rain city. CH and Cale talk and communicate feelings (rare, they don’t do it again after this) Cale finds out abt Choi Han’s depressing villain origin worthy story. Deeper insight into the war. Choi Han and Beacrox face off.
What’s important:
Flashback scenes
A/N; I edited the chapter I’m okay with it now :D
Chapter 8: What to do?(1)
Summary—> Hilsman and Hans gossip while Beacrox begrudgingly listens. Hilsman gets humbled by Choi Han. Choi Han and Kim Roksoo talk and have a bonding experience abt Cale giving them gray hairs. Time passes and flashback to Choi Han talking abt killing Raon first time around. Chapter ends with them planning to sneak out
What’s important:
Everything about time and about how that is detailed
Cale and KRS not knowing anything abt why stuff is like this (they will find out eventually, unfortunately for them lmfao)
Chapter 9: What to do?(2)
Summary—> Choi Han and Cale go on a date but they don’t call it a date also Cale finds out abt Lily taking sword lessons. Chapter ends with KRS finally being able to physically interact with things after 2 years of not being able to
What’s important:
Cale’s trash act not being completely perfect.
Robin(yes they don’t show up again after this chapter but they will eventually, not rlly a major OC but their existence is something to think about time to time)
A/N: This chapter is very skippable ngl. Unless u like reading yaoi u don’t rlly have to read in between the lines for this one, only the ending segment is important. This was a filler chapter
Chapter 10: A dragon is here?!(1)
Summary—> Planning to save Raon and all of that stuff. Flashback scenes about the Henituse family, Cale promisss to get his five year old sister a great sword and no one questions it. Kim Roksoo didn’t show up for a bit and came back looking like shit which is brought up later
What’s important:
Stuff about the Henituse family.
Lily talking to Choi Han about her problems WHEN SHE WAS YOUNG(important cause she didn’t do that anymore after she got older lmfao)
Chapter 11: A dragon is here(2)
Summary—> the first half of the chapter is basically how saving Raon went in the novel with some extra dialog here and there. Cale and CH go on another date because Cale is lonely and he misses his friends and wants to see Kage and Taylor again.
What’s important:
There’s nothing important in the big scheme of things.
Kage and Cale r friends tho (guess I should say were)
Raon can see ghost Cale but because Cale is Cale he looks weird and scary like an actual ghost
A/N: tbh u could skip this chapter or just read a summary and nothing would change other than missing silly character interactions.
Chapter 12: Enjoy your youth(1)
Summary—> Cale goes to a noble meeting. We go back to earth for a flashback and find out why KRS looked like shit a few chapters ago(it was because someone was attempting to bully him but then Cale scared the shit out of the losers so it’s all good) anywho they all kinda settle into doing regular fun things and they all realize they had fucked up childhoods. They have fun and play around
What’s important:
Not much of mega importance this is just like a filler/fun chapter
Chapter 13: Enjoy your youth(2)
Summary—> Cale and KRS go to theme park and have a good time. More insight as to why KRS isn’t living with his uncle. KRS and Cale talk a little abt feelings(rare occurrence)
What’s important:
KRS originally being adopted at 14 instead of as a young child
That’s it.
Chapter 14: Getting to know you(1)
Summary—> character interactions happen, I can’t summarize all of that I’m sorry but um yeah there’s a lot of stuff about the original timeline in this chapter
What’s important:
Original timeline mentions
That’s it.
A/N; the summary for this one sucks but honestly this chapter while not super relevant is pretty important so um yeah live laugh love
Chapter 15: getting to know you(2)
Summary: Flashbacks to the past and KRS finds out CJS and CH are related because CH draws and records stories because he’s lonely and depressed and hates forgetting things important to him
What’s important:
Basen being a mage even though he’s not supposed to be (he’s not a master or anything he just learns it because he likes to study anything and everything)
Sacrificial tendencies
Okay that’s the end for now 🥹 the summaries got worse as time went on sorry about that HAHA , I’ll reblog this with the other chapters when I get the energy to continue. Anything that’s been in the ‘Whats important’ section is just kinda stuff to keep in mind. I’ll write abt the word building in another section. Tbh this mostly exists for me since I, the author, also forget a lot of things lol

Me: I'm gonna read more of Lord of the Mysteries :D I have time now!
Within the next ten minutes
In a group chat: ok so for this tcf au I think child KRS would absolutely cause Alberu psychological damage by being a little shit and still buying the Magic Tower but you know, as a five year old, and father Og!Cale is ready to murder anyone who hurts his five year old chaos engine. Oh and in the react fic Alberu absolutely looks at himself and immediately tells him to prepare for the pile of paper work that Cale will in fact cause him and the Henituse family is just grieving over boths of their sons and-
Yeah so the TCF brainrot might be a little strong
#the girls that get it get it#tcf#trash of the count's family#the brainrot is taking over my entire family#please send help#my friends enable me too much

[Alternate Text:
1. Migraine attacks whilst they stay at Cale's Villa, only getting worse since little Raon does not keep quiet as Cale tries to ignore him during his work on some papers, until he sends him away to play with Ohn and Hong. Ron, by his side, notices it and he even gets worried, since it's not normal for the Young Master-nim to do such a thing. Alberu also calls to discuss something with him, and he notices Cale's bad state. Unlike usual, Cale is not coughing up blood, but just looks like he's struggling in pain. This way, he is able to get his coordinates and come to visit. Of course, not saying the obvious reason while trying to check in with Cale about his physical state before getting him to actually rest. For once, Alberu speaks up against anyone who tries to put him down even a little bit, getting all snappy and worried. (Possible Cale/Alberu undertones)
2. The Powers convince Cale that his plate would get stronger through physical training. Cale tries it, despite being unsure if they're telling the truth. Even Eruhaben doesn't have a real answer to it, since he's never seen a human with such a fragile foundation. Cale decides to try it, recalling the training of his past life and methods. With this he fell back into an old long forgotten pattern of physical training. During this, he falls into some kind of trance and even starts to recall old happenings. PTSD flashbacks are assured, making him snap during a storming training day when Raon tries to get through to him by calling him his usual "Weak Human!" line. It brings Cale to snap for the first time, because he is, in fact, not weak. He tried to save his comrades, he's mid one of his suddenly recurring flashbacks. Not the worst, but also not the best moment to finally stand up for himself, even if he only really processes and releases it subconciously. This might set off a wave of relief in himself that he did not know he felt, making him feel a bit better, but also guilty since he did not intend to yell at a child. And yet, he knew that it had been long-awaited to be said. I might cut the fic after the realisation, letting the reader wonder, ponder and speculate or i could try myself on a kind of pov switch or dialogue./.]
In the following i will insert 2 LCF ideas of mine i had randomly one night, any typos are my own.
If someone could repost with an ALT text for the picture i would be imensely greatfull since dunno what to write.

My intend with these ideas? more suffering for cale of course.

Cale having back up plans for the back up plans but also incase any of his allies decides to stop aiding them and he tells Alberu while they go over strategies together
Alberu is like 'haha good idea ig...'
Because he knows it is a good idea but Cale even thinking there's a chance that Alberu might stop helping them even after Cale has done so much shit for him hurts. Like, a lot.
---
100% inspired by a line in:
It's funny so go read
(it's a very short line and Cale is talking about Deruth possibly cutting his funding and him making preparations if that day ever happens)
---
Errrr
Idk I probably thought it was too short or something lol
