Jupiter: Age Groups
Jupiter stays in one sign for around a year, making a mark on an age group. The influence of the planet reminds me of a graduating class. This Jupiter age group may share common beliefs and trials or steppingstones to growth. Below I examine each age group's values and themes.
Jupiter in Aries age group may be filled with outgoing, energetic, heated individuals, their collective may face many challenges or create challenges all the time for each other. They can be familiar with competition, impulsiveness, over-the-top or intense conflicts, those who take risks may be rewarded or looked up to, there is a focus on winning, ego, conquest, maybe ideas about dominance and/or leadership. They likely value independence, confidence, individuality, self-esteem or even selfishness, ambition, forwardness or honesty, and adaptability. This is a group of warriors, champions, and maybe some memorable rebels.
Jupiter in Taurus age group may have many down-to-earth individuals or indulgent artists, there is a hedonistic vibe to this group, they embrace relaxation, sensuality, but also practicality. These people may fall for superficial desires or tricks, they can overindulge, have a love for shopping and public or expensive entertainment, and may promote trends surrounding aesthetics, food, and beauty. This group may be filled with people who are resistant to change. The greedy, physically attractive, and/or consistently creative may stand out or even be rewarded by peers. They likely value the fine things in life, materialistic success, ambition or determination, stubbornness or steadiness, contentment, beautiful things, and good quality - both tangible and intangible. They may learn early on or learn together the importance of reliability, hard work, but also rest.
Jupiter in Gemini age group may be very familiar with flakiness, gossip, petty drama, talkative people or conversationalist being admired or common, obsession or concern with social status, experiences the pros and cons of rivalry, fears misunderstandings, isolation, or exclusion, but also may have many friendly people. They could frequently be supportive of one another or causes, embraces new ideas, can easily understand and get on each other's wavelengths, and may value community, friendship, education, and open or free communication. Jupiter in Gemini tends to be a group of people who stir things up, they push boundaries in terms of learning and teaching, and may be filled with either antagonizers or allies.
Jupiter in Cancer age group may feel most comfortable with either extreme closeness with one another or total guardedness and low-key suspicion. There can be many sensitive, moody, or shy people in this group. The bolder members of this age group may hide behind tough, cold, arrogant, touchy, or manipulative exteriors. Those who are approachable and genuine with a sense of relatable confidence are highly admired. A lot of drama and conflict tends to involve passive aggression, jealousy, possessiveness, and bursts of unexpected or hidden passion or depth. These people tend to be sympathetic, understanding, and can easily fall for a sob story or can get behind each other with some emotional encouragement. They value loyalty, protectiveness, being nurturing, emotional strength and endurance, caution, practicality, and secretly creativity or ingenuity. This is an age group that pays close attention to their peers and those outside their age group. Nostalgia may be a big thing of theirs! This group will need to face questions and challenges about sensitivity. The role of the family or family drama may somehow be important in their trends and collective memory.
Jupiter in Leo age group may be familiar with power struggles, big personalities and/or egos, competition, pride, main character syndrome, consequences of selfishness, there may be many people who crave the spotlight, could have a lot of entitlement among their group, but they take pride in peers, community, lovers, or friends. There can be a lot of romantic affairs, drama, passion, and excitement. May play the role of ruler, influencer, leader, or hero somehow among other age groups. Recognizes the benefit of play, warmth, and affection. Boss or bossy may be both a buzzword and bad word for them. Values creativity, individuality, confidence, luxury, drive, and self-love. Even the quieter, reserved, and/or humble members of this group have a special spark of bravery or a healthy focus on the self.
Jupiter in Virgo age group are the overachievers, or at least the overachievers are labeled as "in" or needed in this group. This group of peers are productive, smart or clever, hardworking, and realistic. They tend to be able to quickly and effectively organize or work together. But they can easily get caught up in the rat race, always try to outdo the neighbors, and might have a self-righteous streak or think they need to be the hero. They may look up to perfectionists. High standards are shared and valued. Burn out and/or anxiety may be common with this group. There is an emphasis on "good" or "right" judgment among each other. They may be highly judgmental of each other. They likely value common sense, humility or gratefulness, skill or knowledge, expertise, dedication, and caring.
Jupiter in Libra age group embraces equality, respect, ideas of balance, justice, and beauty. This group of people may value social status and popularity highly. They may value physical attractiveness, vanity, romance, creativity, intellect, and possibly objectivity. This group may be highly in tune with culture or make a big impact on pop culture. The charming, persuasive, romantic, but also possibly the shallow may be highly accepted and encouraged. This group of people can low-key be obsessed with romance and could get carried away with an overly idealistic view on love and dating. They will likely prioritize romantic partners and peer pressure one another into relationships. But this group can also have the potential to have close, powerful friendships, especially close and possibly balanced or complementing partnerships. Themes of harmony, fairness, peace, but also conflict are familiar to this group. Their drama, conflict, and affairs may be calm, practical, "normal", casual, petty, or diplomatic on the surface but behind closed doors it can resemble the short tempers, selfishness, and passion of their polar opposite Aries. This group has a part of them that reinforces cooperation and compromise and can enable many people pleasers. These people also know how to have a good time! They can chase pleasures, love to socialize, take time to relax, normalize hedonistic behavior, and appreciate the arts.
Jupiter in Scorpio age group may seem or feel distinct. They are likely passionate, intense, rebellious, brave, but also understanding, giving, sensitive, and deep. They embrace both their emotions and emotional selves and the taboo in their society. They are fascinated with the dark, mysterious, metaphysical, psychological, and secret knowledge, stories, or gossip. This age group values compassion, facing one's demons, guts, intimacy, willpower, desire, lust, and power. They may be more accepting of vengeance, manipulation, and the darker side of emotions and people. They encourage each other to break boundaries, to master oneself, empowerment, and transformation. The overly soft and hypersensitive may find themselves victim to the harsher and more intimidating peers. This group may encourage or enable compulsive behavior, power plays and struggles, obsession, and betrayal. But this age group also has a great capacity to raise each other up or bond to protect or fight against their challenges. The most influential in this group are those who have emotional pull, appeal, intelligence, and power.
Jupiter in Sagittarius age group has many who live their life on the edge! I wouldn't be surprised if the saying YOLO came from or was popular among those with this placement. Experiences, travel, and education, especially higher education are popular among this group. Most of them may aim for the stars in terms of their optimism and dreams. Jokesters, pranksters, the carefree, partyers, and the daredevils may be the most praised in this group. They may be highly familiar with risks, gambling, competition, over confidence, recklessness, rebellion, exaggeration, and possibly trickery, disappointment, and dogma. They value positivity, passion for beliefs or morals, storytelling, communication, intellect, instinct, thrills, hope, luck, and generosity. Themes of hypocrisy, corrupted or zealous beliefs, and opinionated people or conflict may plague them as they interact and grow with each other. These people can be inspiring one minute and then a trainwreck the next.
Jupiter in Capricorn age group tends to find themselves facing many restrictions in their life and among peers. These are the rule followers, maybe the rule makers. They are the responsible, mature, hardworking, possibly studious, and practical. Many in this group may uphold their society or family's traditions. Peer pressure could be heavy and normal. They likely value conformity, reputation, money, possessions, ambition, greed, tradition, order, purpose or duty, and capitalistic views of success or older definitions of success. But rebels or rule breakers may stand out the most in this generation due to a lack of others making waves. These people will likely be highly loved and hated, a large amount of their peers admiring them while the other condemn them. The patient, down-to-earth, logical, and reliable do well in this group. One area they do shine in is making boundaries, following their plans, and knowing what they want. There is a lot of wisdom for this group to gain and learn together.
Jupiter in Aquarius age group is filled with trend makers, trend followers, rebels, eccentrics, and activists. They will likely be known for their individuality, unconventional lifestyles, innovation, and opinions. They likely value tolerance, liberation, self-expression, independence, respect, and progress or change. This group may value or rely more on intellect than emotion. The highly sensitive and those who crave attachment and intimacy may struggle among their peers. Dating is likely unique in some way among them. They are familiar with themes of separation, uncertainty, technology, science, strangeness, hypocrisy, control or lack of it, humanity, radical ideas or thinking, and large causes. Friendships among peers tend to be very like-minded, communicative, and vibrant. Rivalries, enemies, and conflict among peers is likely cold, stubborn, hardheaded, controlling, unpredictable, temperamental, and haughty. Overall this group can be highly level-headed, supportive, and cooperative.
Jupiter in Pisces age group may be labeled as lazy, bleeding hearts, hopeless romantics, and starving artists. This age group may be scapegoats somehow or attract blame, guilt, and badmouthing. But among each other they may treat one another with kindness, sensitivity, understanding, empathy, and creativity. They value imagination, gentleness, kindness, art, romance, beliefs or the spiritual, but also they may be out of touch with the world or each other somehow. They could value the unrealistic or bad habits. They may be very familiar with disappointments, illusions, disillusionment, unreliability, unfairness, manipulation, lack of direction, discipline, and boundaries. There is something about this group that comes together often and their most influential or popular may be constantly changing. They are likely to see the human in each other. But their conflict and drama may cut deep and scar. Their drama can honestly get ridiculous with disbelief, distractions, and over the top fights. Also this group may enable or give the most attention to victims, those who play the victim, sob stories, and anyone who can pull sympathy. Together they can dream big and care. There is great capacity for healing and insight among each other.

It's so interesting when you also start to get the viewpoint of older characters and start to understand them better.
They sometimes were not mean. They were concerned. They tried.
But the Protagonist is also not bad for thinking they are mean or overprotective or embarassing. Because we felt this the same way we feel about the other viewpoints now.
the fact that i'm no longer the same age as the protagonists of novels and films i once connected to is so heartbreaking. there was a time when I looked forward to turning their age. i did. and i also outgrew them. i continue to age, but they don't; never will. the immortality of fiction is beautiful, but cruel.

Understanding Medicare Eligibility For Different Age Groups
Tumblr media
Medicare, the federal health insurance program in the United States, provides vital coverage for millions of Americans. However, eligibility criteria vary depending on age groups, leading to confusion among different demographics. Understanding Medicare eligibility for various age groups is crucial for individuals to navigate the complexities of healthcare access and coverage effectively.
For individuals aged 65 and older, Medicare eligibility is relatively straightforward. Most people become eligible for Medicare when they turn 65, regardless of their employment status or health condition. This initial enrollment period begins three months before the individual's 65th birthday and extends for three months afterward. During this time, individuals can sign up for Medicare Part A (hospital insurance) and Medicare Part B (medical insurance) without incurring late enrollment penalties.
However, for younger age groups, such as individuals with disabilities, Medicare eligibility is based on specific criteria. Those under 65 may qualify for Medicare if they have been receiving Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Railroad Retirement Board disability benefits for at least 24 months. This provision ensures that individuals with disabilities have access to essential healthcare services and support.
Another group that may qualify for Medicare before the age of 65 is individuals with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. Individuals with ESRD, such as those undergoing dialysis or kidney transplant recipients, are eligible for Medicare regardless of age, provided they meet certain requirements. Similarly, individuals diagnosed with ALS automatically qualify for Medicare benefits upon receiving disability benefits from the Social Security Administration.
Understanding the nuances of eligibility for medicare for different age groups is essential for individuals to make informed decisions about their healthcare coverage. For example, individuals nearing the age of 65 need to prepare for their Medicare enrollment period and familiarize themselves with the available coverage options. This includes understanding the differences between Medicare Part A, Part B, Part C (Medicare Advantage), and Part D (prescription drug coverage) to select the most suitable plan for their needs.
Furthermore, individuals with disabilities must navigate the transition to Medicare carefully, ensuring a seamless continuation of healthcare coverage. This may involve coordinating benefits between Medicare and other insurance programs, such as Medicaid or employer-sponsored health plans, to maximize coverage and minimize out-of-pocket costs.
Additionally, individuals with ESRD or ALS face unique healthcare challenges and may require specialized care and support. Understanding their Medicare eligibility and coverage options is essential for accessing the necessary treatments, medications, and services to manage their conditions effectively.
In conclusion, understanding Medicare eligibility for different age groups is crucial for individuals to access essential healthcare coverage and services. Whether approaching the age of 65, living with a disability, or managing a chronic illness, navigating the complexities of Medicare requires careful consideration and planning. By staying informed about Medicare enrollment periods, coverage options, and eligibility criteria, individuals can make informed decisions to safeguard their health and well-being now and in the future.

Growth, development, and general wellness are all dependent on nutrition, which is essential at every stage of life. At different stages of our lives, we need specific food requirements. Eating fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes, dairy goods, and low-fat meats can help in fulfill these basic requirements. There are basically seven types of nutrients: water, minerals, vitamins, fiber, protein, fat, and carbohydrates. Each component is necessary for the body to function properly. To encourage maximum well-being and prevent nutritional deficiencies, it is necessary to understand the specific dietary requirements of various age groups

I don't think it's talked about enough how truly buck wild our level/speed of communication is. We didn't have this 100 years ago! And even then it's only been in the last 20-30 we really embraced technology and our global stage.
Our communities are still experiencing huge upheavals around this and we don't acknowledge it because of all the benefits being wired in brings. You can find jobs and resources and entertainment, sure, but you also have to have accounts here, here and here to access healthcare or a rent portal or TV.
On one end we have an elderly class that is overwhelmed. They learned complex systems already! Taxes, licensing, registration. They know where the offices are - right down the street. Why the change? "Because this site simplifies it." Does it? Does it really? Is it really more simple when someone has to have reliable access to a computer, the wherewithal to make/check an email, and the ability to navigate ten different sites to access the one they want? Why can't they go meet their doctor in person when that's the way it's been since they were children? Why did they learn to make eye contact and shake hands if not for this?
On the other, we have a younger generation that has been tasked with absorbing a huge amount of information since day one. Their brains have to work differently because the tools given to them are different than the ones older generations received. Of course they can find a primary care physician. The site operates like the one they were forced to learn in high school to turn in assignments! And why should they know how to do taxes or balance a checkbook? They were tasked with learning how to navigate the internet - they know where the information is. In a sea of "right now" demands and "this shouldn't take long because you can Google it" assignments, they have to be selective in what takes their attention.
We are currently between a time of "trust the process" and "immediately." So many people feel unheard or ignored because of this. The elderly feel isolated, helpless, and stonewalled. The youth feel anxious, mocked, and bullied.
The world changed and it happened invisibly.

Sea Cryptic! Danny AU- Pt.4
[Pt.1] [Pt.2] [Pt.3] [Pt.5] [Pt.6] [Pt.7] [Pt.8] [Pt.9] [Pt.10]
Danny was sitting in the back, his backpack obnoxiously taking up the seat next to him, when the door to the lecture hall creaked open near silently.
“What are you in here for?” Danny asked the guy who crept into class. He sympathetically took his backpack off the Seat of Shame and allowed the guy to sit down. Funnily enough, they had the same hair and eye color.
“Gen Ed. Undecided. You?” The guy grunted quietly back.
“Environmental studies. I’m Danny.”
“Tim.”
With the implicit understanding of two people in a required class they could not give less than two fucks about, Tim and Danny tuned back into the lecture. When the class was assigned group work, Danny looked over to see Tim softly snoring, head slammed down on the table.
“Tim. Wake up, dude.” Danny poked his shoulder.
“Huh? Class over?”
“Nah, we got group work. Discussion board.”
“Oh shit, thanks for waking me up. Wanna team up?”
Danny shrugged. “Sure. We should aim to post it in the middle so the professor doesn’t read our answers to the class.”
“Yeah, sounds like a good idea. Any idea what we’re talking about?”
“Kind of?”
“Good enough for me.”
——
Tim Drake kept seeing Danny Fenton around on campus.
“Danny! Dude, what are you doing?”
Danny turned, gloved hands full of crumpled trash. “Picking up after the student population, apparently.”
“Didn’t think environmental studies was that serious.”
“Global warming is very serious, you jerk,” Danny smirked at him, crossing the grass to put the trash into the trash can. “Reduce, reuse, oil shouldn’t be spilled in water and all that.”
“Basic stuff,” Tim grinned. Nice, he basically had a friend past Bernard now!
They were friends, right?
“And yet humanity fails to comprehend it. Incredible. Incredibly stupid that is.”
“They get it. Major corporations just don’t care.”
Danny sighed. “True that. You on your way to your next class?” He took off his biodegradable gloves off (nitrile and nylon, baby!) and chucked them into the trash.
“I’ve got free time, actually. Prof cancelled for his daughter’s surgery.”
“Oh, shit, that’s rough! You wanna go downtown and join the strike?”
“A strike? What for?” Even as he asked, Tim hiked his bag higher onto his shoulder, ready to go. They fell into step as the two left campus.
“Apparently, Quillan Pharma was doing some shady shit at their manufacturing plants. I think it’s like killing kids, and pouring toxins into the ground.”
“Oh, shit.”
“Yeah. Oh! Poison Ivy’s gonna be there!”
Tim blinked. He casted a sideways look at Danny. Sure he’s been here long enough to know… but it couldn’t hurt to check. “You know she’s an eco-terrorist, right?”
“Okay, but like… people suck sometimes. And all she’s asking for is like don’t kill the planet. And she doesn’t do that whole mind control thing too much anymore! The Sirens are so cool. Plus, one of my best friends at home might actually kill me if I don’t try to get her autograph. Poison Ivy is like, Sam’s personal hero.”
Tim snickered. “Yeah, okay. Mind if one of my friends join? His name’s Bernard.”
“The more the merrier,” Danny nodded. “Ooo! Hot chocolate. Want some?”
Danny bought three drinks as Tim trailed behind, texting Bernard.
“He said yes.”
“Cool! We should meet up somewhere before the drinks get cold.”
Well, Danny got the autograph. Tim got a new friend, and Bernard got a drink from his crush.
——
“Oh, you’re the glowing dude that Batman always talks about!”
Danny blinked, eyes scanning the wing-like cape and the yellow emblem on the hero’s suit. Danny was indeed glowing, stars and nebulas freckling across neon green skin, and glowing hair the color of a white dwarf star, tinged with the blue from his ice core.
“I… have absolutely no idea who you are,” Danny lied, like a liar. He’s found a surprising niche of entertainment in messing with the local vigilantes and he’ll be damned if he missed this opportunity.
He heard a snicker from the comm lines as Red Robin visibly brushes it off.
“I’m Red Robin. Why are you picking up trash?”
“Picking up after you humans, apparently.”
The both of them blink, feeling a weird sense of déjà vu. A moment of awkward silence passed before they both shook it off.
“Are you here to help? No offense, but the track record for you people is terrible.” Danny strode over and grabbed a bag. He opened it, and shook it at Red Robin’s face. “See? Batarangs, these odd bird looking ones, the R’s. Seriously, pick up after yourselves!”
“Oh, woah, can we have these back?”
Danny yanked the bag back before Red Robin could get close. “Pay me. These were incredibly tedious to pick up. Especially the batarangs. I mean, I even found a whole bunch of old rusted ones in the middle of the bay. What did you do, dump an entire bag in there from the air?”
Red Robin sighed and took out a wad of cash, with tracking fluid all over it. Danny grimaced, smelling the odd scent on the money. “That’s not real cash. It smells off. Are you trying to give me counterfeits because you’re broke?”
Red Robin gaped, oddly offended. “No! They’re real!”
“Doesn’t smell like it. It’s stinkier than the trash. Go get the one with the money, the litterer. Tell him I’ll be back the next full moon. I don’t want to talk to you anymore.” Danny grumbled, disappearing on the spot to watch Red Robin flounder with the stack of cash and the piles of dead bodies on the shore.
“What the fuck even is my life these days?” Red Robin wondered out loud, stuffing the cash back into his pocket. He looked over the plastic wrapped bodies and slumped, sighing.
Oddly enough, Danny felt a sense of sympathy. Well, he’s not getting paid for sympathy. He’s not getting paid at all tonight, actually. Danny flew off, plunging once more into the depths of the significantly cleaner waters, and used his ice to scoop out oil stains.
Danny glanced around and sighed. He had a lot of work to do.
——
“So you’re saying he’s like a werewolf mermaid fae child immortal god thing, right?”
Bruce grunted.
“B, what the hell are you smoking these days? You know drugs are bad, right? Do we need Superman to give you that PSA?” Jason snickered.
Tim, massaging his arms from having to haul an ungodly amount of dead bodies, grunted. He’s so similar to Bruce that it gave the people currently in the cave hives.
“He said full moon. I don’t think we can track him with regular stuff. The bugs kept shorting out.”
“Oh boy,” Dick sighed. “Don’t fall off the spiral cliff, Tim. You’ve got midterms to think about so no stalking the guy.”
“Yet,” Tim shot back, changing out of his suit.
Bruce grunted, setting aside a huge stack of cash.

Nursery/Daycare idea:
A growth-chart style graphic for Littles next to the door of the nursery that functions similar to a clip-chart so that Caregivers don't need to use cues from their Little to figure out how old they feel and so that Littles don't need to pick a hard number, but instead it's more organized by "height" (more like baby, toddler, preschooler, elementary school, middle school, middle and adult).
And then if you have two Littles you can have multiple clips and kiddos and move them around to keep track. This could also be helpful if you're a flip or are working with another flip!
Here's how I envision it looking :D
