Addendum: It seems I have to leave a disclaimer on all of my Aethyr-related artwork because of the actions of a malcontent who will not leave well enough alone; BTACDian Aethyr is no longer associated with Honorbound or its original creator, but is not going away. The Aethyrian dragons, the Aethyrian gods, and a small section of the associated religious lore was willingly given to BTACD and worked on to fit existing lore, then released for the members of BTACD to use, thus falling under our TOS - where released lore submitted to us is protected and kept even if the original creator of that lore disappears or leaves. This TOS is short, and you MUST agree to it upon registration to the forum.

The original creator worked with us closely with the original Aethyrian dragons, and thus some content is word for word, not 'stolen' as this person claims. If you would like proof of this, please DM me on Discord.

The coat of arms was similarly given to be used in BTACD (proof of which which I have also screenshotted, despite this person's attempts to delete all evidence) and thus is not 'stolen'. It has become a BTACD asset, credited appropriately on our credits page, and is protected by our TOS as our chibis, god art, etc are.

This passage emphasizes the necessity of humility and restraint when engaging with forces that are beyond ordinary perception. The phrase "veil therefore your eyes" suggests that true mastery over the aethyr requires a shift away from superficial observation. Rather than attempting to to "see" and control it directly , one must embody its essence. The "mystery matching Its mystery" implies that only by embracing one's own inner complexity can one begin to interact meaningfully with the aethyr. It calls for introspection, self-awareness, and acknowledgement that some truths are revealed only through surrender, not force.

"Seal up your mouth," points to the importance of silence and stillness in mastering higher knowledge or spiritual power. In many mystical traditions, speech represents externalization. The projection of thoughts, ego, and control. By remaining silent, one tunes into subtle , unspoken frequencies of the aethyr, aligning with it rather than dominating it. This reflects the principle that profound understanding often comes from not speaking, but from listening and observing in stillness.

Mastery over the "voice of the aethyr" requires quieting the internal noise, thoughts, judgements, and ego-driven desires to hear its true message. Together these instructions induce a state of surrender, patience, and deep self-reflection as the path to true spiritual insight.

Thoughts on Aethyr, since you think he's a rogue PKJ might cover

Gerber is a widely overlooked Superman writer who was ahead of his time. What he was doing with the Phantom Zone should have stuck as the default for the PZ as a location rather than the boring “white space” version used. And Aethyr was such a cool concept.

Superman up against a Lovecraftian god, the one who rules the prison dimension he dumps his foes into, makes the Phantom Zone even more fucked up than it was before which I wholeheartedly endorse. Aethyr can’t be understood. Superman has faced his fair share of aliens, gods, and otherworldly beings, but most of them are like Darkseid and Mxy. For all their power they usually don’t come across as that removed from humanity. They’re foes that Superman can understand. Aethyr meanwhile is utterly alien, too alien for even Kal-El to wrap his mind around.

Aethyr can’t be negotiated or punched out. He’s not interested in games like Mxy. If he ever gets out of the Phantom Zone and reaches our world, we’re all screwed. Aethyr must be kept asleep, and the lengths Superman must go to ensure that happens should test his very sanity and morality.

The glimmering blue-eyed Auryelia is the goddess of Aether magic, a being of light and once a Celestial dragoness and patron deity of her kind. The glinting red-eyed Athlryion is the god of Nether magic, a being of shadow and once a Cosmic dragon and patron deity of his kind. Together, they formed the world of Aethyr and its elemental dragons, in the Novaltair Void hydra - the youngest Realm by far at just under eight thousand years of age.

A concept:

Pre-Empyrea. The Young Wizard searches for a Skyway captain at the behest of the Arcanum and they track down old Coleridge in Polaris.
