So I've been learning about kite man, who is one of my new favorite characters/archetypes - the cyclic pattern of always starting over - applying new information from failures to slowly overcome obstacles not faced by normal standards and experiences - reflects one of the methods I use to learn since memory's different (and memory and understanding are completely different and misunderstood).

And I happened upon a character I've literally never heard before - Animal Man.

Seems to have ties to swamp-thing, which makes sense that he's reminiscent of a druid - but in like a venom style where things aren't black and white but a spectrum of shades.

"Evolve or die" - actually an activist superhero that understands there are no heroes without a world to live in. By standards today this would be seen as "radical", when in actuality, it's being ethically consistent in ones abilities and choices that can be entirely avoided - but chosen NOT to.

About holding YOURSELF accountable in actions that lead to a global effect and collectively, instead of waiting for a point of no return.

Philosophy

Something that I find hilarious and intentionally ignorant as fuck, is that people say philosophy isn't good for anything, not for music/ movies etc.

But without philosophy, there's nothing compelling - without philosophy, there's no imagination, no philosophic archetypes like kite man/animal man/venom/magneto and many others archetypes that use philosophy to add depth.

Otherwise everything would be grey without philosophy, archetypes strictly confined to pre-determined "forms" of philosophy.

Elitism and narcissism make an intersection when someone says that "oh this belongs to author x" - philosophy is a human invention, someone doesn't have to read x amount of books or specific books to learn philosophy.

One doesn't need to have a degree - this is ultimately reminiscent of a fascist.

The first people to invent philosophy - didn't have books to create new forms of it.

Many philosophies borrow from others to create a new one.

A philosophy itself isn't inherently good/evil (minus exceptions for those literally designed as such) - but in how someone uses it.

The worst kind of malignant narcissists say, "you have to purchase x amount of something to be x".

You don't have to read books about philosophy to learn about it, you can learn from archetypes, mythology, experiential experiences or wiki.

No-one starts learning at the same periods, no-one starts on the same resource -

Saying you have to understand philosophy by solely reading specific books, is the most un-human way to approach something.

The best movies and comics use philosophy, if you say otherwise, you're not actually proving it - you're just asserting your belief, despite not actually being interested enough in philosophy to engage in a way that's not just parroting the most famous philosophers and saying it's not.

Because that would be malignant elitist narcissism that aligns with any society that hates learning and doing so in a way that's fun. "just read books and never have fun, OR learn", as having fun is paramount to learning and assuming everyone learns the same way is literally fascistic gate-keeping. Grifters say buy my book that teaches you everything while stealing a phrase from another author- despite not fighting climate change due to "aliens" - DeGrasse Tyson. Oh, so you only believe in an education for people who can buy books, and methods not possible/conducive to their learning. - Which ties into anti-AI hysteria and disinformation - TBD.

Coined Term: Theriowere

A Term by @wolfgirlcoven (personal acc. of @unholyleaf)

(above: the theriowere flag. The earthen tones invoke a sense of connection to the world's fauna. In the center is a theta-delta with a triple spiral in the center) Theriowere - (translation = roughly AnimalMan/BeastMan. Note man here in a gender neutral context, as in mankind) The term Theriowere refers to one who's nonhuman identity and humanity are inherently interwoven on a deep, intrinsic, level. This can be experienced in a number of ways, such as feeling as if you are a hybrid of your theriotype and human, feeling perma-shifted, and so forth. As such, a theriowere's nonhuman identity IS their sense of self and/or self image. A Theriowere acknowledges that genetically & biologically, they are human. However, therioweres may use Bioterms (coined by @ursacanid in this post) to express oneself. Though similar to Vacilliant Therianthropy in regards to how the term is used today (ie: a dual human-animal experience), it differs based on the original definition of the term, shown here:

This also differs from Suntherianthropy & Contherianthropy as Therioweres may experience shifting. However, Suntherians, Contherians, and Therioweres all experience their theriotype/primary theriotype(s) as part of their baseline identity. So to sum it up: What Theriowere IS: A baseline nonhuman identity which inherently is interwoven with ones sense of self AND sense of humanity. We experience shifts just like any other therian or otherkin. We are aware of our biological state as humans, and do not seek to deny that. What Theriowere is NOT: Theriowere is NOT a term for P-Shfiters, Holotheres, Mythicals, etc. Theriowere as a term is inherently against the promotion that one can genetically/biologically be anything other than human.

The TherioWere symbol:

The symbol for TherioWere is a Theta-Delta with a celtic Triple-Spiral inside. The triple spiral, or triskelion, has been connected with werecreatures (especially werewolves) in a number of ways. The book "Werewolf Magick" by Denny Sargeant utilizes the symbol to represent the three forms of the moon (crescent, full, and dark). The show Teen Wolf also uses it as a symbol to help lycanthropes control their shifts. For Theriowere, the symbol of the triskelion was chosen to represent the human self, the nonhuman self, and the unity/balance of the two.

Learned (got the animal friend trait real young) it was safer out in the wastes than it actually was in town with the raiders and the rare legion member that roamed off (only happened once or twice and they got killed because god forbid those fuckers get to report back that there's people in this town and they have a LOTTERY.)

anyway. the bark scorpions aren't too bad. He's heard of ones LOT bigger in other parts, so he's grateful they are what they are. they don't bother him none unless he accidentally scares one of gets too close to a nest. one got him once and. he ain't ever making that mistake again.. even if now there's a little bit of a slur to the way he talks and he's a little more uncoordinated. (he does better when he's got mentats but it's a cycle of >woozy and uncoordinated > takes chems to feel better and functions better for a while > feels like shit again > both goes into withdraws and typical level of woozy) (will also take med-x's if given the chance, and a safe place to hide out while he's too fucked up to be able to defend himself from crazy wasteland shit)

Being from a town that doesn't have a lot going for it and isn't a target for trade routes he's adapted in some.. unconventional ways (cannibalism). This is of course, kept quiet. Even in a rougher settlement they don't look on cannibalism too kindly, especially if they already consider you A Weird One. He snags out-of-towners only, usually catching them before they even reach sight of town because he's already out on the desert in the night.

Not good with a gun but he carries a revolver strapped to his thigh, under his pants. His main weapons are a cleaver, a knife, and a tire iron.

Usually sporting a old cowboy hat and some sunglasses, and a mix of leather clothes and some stuff he nicked off some raiders (don't ask how he got it. It was a long night and raiders don't smell good.)

If he sees you and isn't Needing for food, he's more likely to run off the minute he sees you from a distance. If you want to talk to him for some reason you'll have to get lucky and catch him at the right time.
