Someone on Neocities told me yesterday he's playing Shining Force for the first time following my translations, and you can kinda imagine the impact this had on my ego, so i rushed to finish a few more scenes that I consider important:
The intro (prologue and meeting Simone)
Darksol's jerkass moment above from Chapter 8 (this one had mistranslations last time I posted it, do check it out again, I'm a stronger person now)
The epilogue with Simone
With this, I'm fairly sure I've done all the important story beats, we're just missing a lot of NPC dialogue of course, and a few less relevant battle moments. At the very least, I don't remember any emotional moments left out by now, so my main goal is done. Not sure I'd ever commit to a complete translation one day because it's daunting, so we'll see.

The weather is starting to get warm, which means it's a good time to listen to some blues. Nina Simone is known as a jazz singer, but as she demonstrates this marvelous 2023 live album (which finally made publicly available her legendary performance at the 1966 Newport Jazz Festival), she could also sing the blues, as evidenced by her smoldering live rendition of the gutbucket "Blues for Mama," which she wrote with Abbey Lincoln. For best effect, it should be played on a hot afternoon — crank it up, and be sure to remove any flammable material from the vicinity of the speakers so it doesn't burn the house down.

Cobert Winter Fanfic Exchange 2023
My folks, is it believable? (hardly) I have written something!! I am alive (barely)
So first off, big shoutout and huge thanks to @bella-caecilia and @ohtobealady for arranging this, it's deeply appreciated and I love, love, LOVE these exchanges! Absolutely cannot wait to read all your contributions!
As for my part... well... I've had quite a lot on my plate and I must say that I had to somewhat rush this. (and one can tell, lol) The story leaves quite a lot of room for interpretation ORRRRRR I might add another chapter... We'll see. But I do understand it isn't Shakespeare.
My prompts were "imbroglio" and "I was such a fool" (hence, the title) and I've set it in S5E5. I've always wondered what could have been and, well, this is very much that. I played with the dialogue of the one and only JFells and tried my best to stick to the character's nature (hopefully). But please be aware that there is mention of SA, so if this story might not be for you, feel free to skip this one <3 I just couldn't stop wondering what might have been if Robert hadn't entered their bedroom so early.
Please let me know what you think of it and if you have any improvements/ recommendations hit me up, I'd love to hear them!

To Sir Phillip With Love. Julia Quinn
It is actually the 2nd time I read it. But I desperately needed a book that I new I would like. You know this feeling when you read a book and something is off: it is not like it is terrible, but it is just … okay. So, it was a first time ever for me rereading. And thaaaank god for that decisions.
My head was consumed with the story (even though I knew the outcome, I still forgot like 80% of everything). And I want to give the proper honours to the author! Julia Quinn is the master of building up tension, storylines. And I just love the character progression with my whole heart. I always thought of this book as a story of contracts (female/masculine perspective, introverted/extroverted sides of Eloise and Philip, growing/exploding, low-emotions/boiling with feelings).
The book:

Honourable mentions, to inner monologues of characters. It allows to connect to the characters on a new level (like you’re under their skin, if it makes sense).

so thank you JQ for an opportunity to write a longer review (finally), as your books were my gateway books to the genre.
(This book is not even my favourite of JQ, if I get to reread my favourites, the reviews will be in order, dah ). Cannot wait to see depiction of this book, and what they will change and leave to show people.
