There's a blog named @/fucktrpc that's putting posts of dead animals in tags used for rpc. I'd recommend blocking that blog asap as they seem to be a troll blog looking to get some sick kicks.

recently a post has been circulating claiming adria arjona is a zionist. this post is blatantly spreading misinformation. the post shows this screenshot:

this screenshot is missing critical information! it does not show a date in which it was posted therefore implying that it was posted recently. the screenshot being circulated was posted on october 14th, 2023 as proven by the fact that it came from this tweet . secondly, it does not include the source. if you are familiar with instagram, you can tell that this was a repost of another account's post. cropping out the original poster makes it impossible for us to see what the opinions of the account posting the original message are. a message such as this one, immediately following october 7th shows a lack of education on the conflict which was very common at the time since it was the first time many of us had been introduced to it, but it does not directly imply zionism.

adria has not, as far as i can tell, made a permanent post on her social media with her own stance in her own words. if she has done this via stories it is lost to us. what we DO know is that adria has been vocal in speaking out against trump, and ice. what we do know is that adria follows and has publicly been friends with multiple celebrities and politicians who have spoken out against the genocide in palestine on instagram.

it is my belief that this screenshot is circulating as part of a misogynist hate campaign started because of rumors that adria may play wonder woman in james gunn's dcu. it is incredibly common to find people dredging up past posts like this without context in order to turn the masses against a woman.

ultimately, it is up to the individual in the rp community to decide who they are comfortable using as a faceclaim. however it is also up to the individual to educate themselves on the full context. i don't personally believe this screenshot tells us anything about adria's current beliefs or stance. i'll be keeping an eye on her social media and i am willing to change my opinion. i encourage all members of the roleplay community to do their own research and decide for themselves where their comfort lies.

i understand roleplay can feel very parasocial at times and we want the faceclaims we use to match our beliefs ideologically. it can be truly heartbreaking when they don't. i've definitely been there. remember to be kind to yourself and be kind to your fellow members of the rpc. kindness above all. in situations where a celebrity might have or has done something distasteful, we cannot assume everyone has the same knowledge we do. what might be considered common knowledge to one person might be brand new information to another. there is never any reason to send anons or hate in anyone's direction, patience and kindness will always get you further.

a little life update !

i'm headed back to my parents house tomorrow for probably two weeks to have yet another generational run of doctors appointments! i have minor surgery tuesday and then i'll be recovering from that for a bit. i'm told the recovery won't be too bad.

in terms of the goings ons here, same deal as before, i can't do a whole lot of downloading on my home wifi cause my dad works from home and i cannot fuck with his bag like that! if i can't get something done while im at my parents house but want to do it, it'll get put onto an on hold list until i'm back at my apartment!
